Green Lantern Pizza

I’ve ordered from here a few times. It’s okay pizza, but just way too think. Once it was undercooked. I love Detroit style, but this is just too think. It’s a lot like Jet’s & Jet’s is overrated. Cloverleaf or Buddy’s is real Detroit style. They have some pretty good wings here, though, & lots of times wings from pizza joints are slimy messes. I did order them well done which may have helped. Update*: Always pretty disappointed w/ this place. As you can see, their BLT pizza has no consistency. That’s a sign of indifferent staff. Notice the four small tomatoes halved on my recent BLT? Yeah, that makes for like on bite of tomato per slice. My co-worker said her chicken siciliano pizza was undercooked… That, actually, does seem consistent.

I love love your pizza it is so good. We have been getting your pizza since you opened this location. Some of the nicest people who work there. Shout out to Gabby who is the sweetest person ever. Keep up the amazing work and dedication.

My previous review for Green Lantern was 5 stars. Why? Because they were amazing. Sadly, they're losing two stars due to their diminishing quality and quantity of their antipasto salad and their lack of customer response. Over the last few months I've watched the toppings on the salad dwindle.... after every order, I'd complete the review and mention this. Their antipasto was perfect - plentiful toppings and great tasting. Unfortunately, this past Sunday's salad didn't just have diminished toppings - a third of the salad was missing. The once filled container wasn't full -- not even close. The pizza? Still solid. Just don't waste your money on the salad. We always get a pizza and a salad --- which means Green Lantern most likely won't be a part of Sunday dinner rotation. (Also, I used the webform to contact them -- no reply. Apparently, they don't bother reading the reviews they ask for in email after an order or read their emails).

They took two and a half hours to deliver a pizza. Apart from that their quality has gotten so bad I would rather order dominos because it 50/50 at best that it not undercooked or overcooked and 25% chance they get you order right they can't put the correct toping or remember sauces and dressing. This time the burned the whole bottom of the pizza and cheese was all over the lid of the box.

Love this square. Not too greasy. Wings are fab too. All around great place. Great people working there too. Will be ordering again 💯

Very good pizza, but pricey! Would.go back again.

Very disappointing. The crust on my pizza was like cardboard. It was so dry it was crumbling and had a coating of flour over it. The toppings were delicious. I really wish I didn't feel this way since I've had Green Lanterns pizza numerous times.

I usually love there pizza. This is the second time I had a bad experience here. I typically go to there other locations. But I was near the on 18 mile and Hayes today. Very disappointed. I’ll continue going to their other locations.

If you're craving pizza, Green Lantern in Clinton Township is a solid go-to spot that never disappoints. The crust hits that perfect balance between crispy and chewy, the sauce has great flavor, and the ingredients are fresh. I'd honestly rank it as one of the better pizza places in the area. Prices are fair, too. They range from $11 for a small to about $20 for an extra-large, with each topping being an extra charge. Overall, Green Lantern delivers a no-frills, flavor-packed pizza experience that always hits the spot for me.

This place very good. But the guy next to me tried touching me and touching my thigh but the food very good and the atmosphere deals like I'm in a mob boss's cover up business type sheit. Service very good she gave us extra refills when me uncle said no.

Not bad pizza, and super friendly service but just not for us anymore. We used to order from there every Friday however, their prices are pretty high like Jet's & their pizza has gotten so ridiculously greasy, both mine and my husband's, our stomachs are tore up for hours after we eat, regardless of what we get on the pizza. I have to take half a roll of paper towel to blot the pizza. It's just awful now. Their sauce is a bit spicy for our taste as well. We now have been turned onto Oliver's and it's much much better -- hardly greasy at all in the sauce is perfect!

For me the round meat lovers is the best. The octopus was just so so in my opinion. Shelby township is good Romeo Plank is better

Just ordered a pizza from here and it was awful. I asked for it to be well done. The dough was raw. We had to bake it in our oven. I've never had an experience like this ever before. It wasn't worth the gas to drive back there in this cold, otherwise I would have taken it back. Not coming here again.

food is fine but my god the service is next level disrespectful. sent my boyfriend in to grab our food for the game come to find out he was asked in a rude tone and way to fast to understand "why are you just sitting there" "did you order" "were you helped". he told them he was waiting on his order and the lady working there asked for a name AGAIN checked for it then walked around eating pizza for 15 minutes while we waited and the order was already done and just sitting there. found it super rude that she just saw our food then decided to wait 15 more minutes to give it to us. unbelievable. all we had was 3 pizzas does not take over an hour for that.

I love green lantern in royal oak, but this one on Hayes is terrible. They either forget an item I bought, burn it or under cooked. Last time I called and spoke to the manager she had a nasty attitude, so why bother complaining. This time every pepperoni was burnt and the pizza was extra done. Think I'm done with this location.

WOW! Incredible pizza! -- My brother and I are big Detroit-style pizza fans. Our favorites are Buddy's, Carlo's, Cloverleaf, and Jets. Yesterday, we finally tried Green Lantern for the first time. It is exceptionally good, and might just be our new favorite. Superb crust, distinctive Italian-style pepperoni, perfectly cooked to that Detroit-style blend of chewy-with-crisp-edge, great sauce and cheese. Just wow. They got absolutely everything right. Was also delivered much faster than promised. 100% recommended. We will definitely be back!

This place has some of the best Detroit style deep dish pizza in the state. I highly recommend it if you'd like the deep dish pizza. I personally am not a fan, but I have bought lunch here several times for my construction crew and they love it. The times I have had it it has been amazing, even though I prefer the thin crust style. I have been coming to the location in Clinton Township and Madison Heights for years and we have had great service and amazing food every time. it definitely beats the local favorites and is quite forgotten for the tourists as everybody recommends Buddys, which is way over priced compared to the green lantern.

Past couple times we ordered here, it seemed like the quality went down a bit and it wasn't even warm. Thats expected I think right now because of everyone being short staffed and the pandemic issues. This last time though was a horrible experience. I ordered online. I am very very picky when I order online and I go over my order multiple times before I hit submit. I did infact order a large bbq chicken pizza and some other stuff. Somehow it translated it to the BLT PIZZA. NO! Long day at work and was super excited for this pizza. Only to receive it wrong. So I called and explained and the guy just said very sarcastically "so what do you want? Like a coupon or something?" I try to be nice so I realized no one would make an effort to figure this out with me so I just said I'll just order a small bbq chicken pizza" and a side of ranch. An additional 20 bucks ontop of the 60 bucks I just paid here. Order took forever and by this time I wasn't even hungry anymore and needless to say I only got a pizza and not the ranch. And it was cold. The sad part is, it's not the first time anyone ordered online and got the wrong order. Even worse part it no one can even prove the order transmitted incorrectly. Essentially, something was wrong, and no one gave a shit. That is not how you run a place.

Ordered pizza well done and it wasn't. They forgot the ranch sauce even though asked for it twice. Chicken wings were very tiny. Order was late. Had the pizza the next day and became sick!

This was my first visit to Green Lantern and likely my last. I had the rudest interaction with one of the employees. As I was providing my phone number for order lookup, she did not appear ready, so I briefly paused. She rolled her eyes and said, "I need your *full* phone number" and then she huffed to the back again and left me to be waited on by someone else. I'm not sure why I deserved nasty attitude - I left a tip on my carry out order. Everyone in the store seemed to be in a pissy mood.

Not worth it at all. What a sad looking pizza. I went the first time and I got a x large pizza and it was almost $25. Then they sent me an offer for a free medium 1 topping pizza and it was even more sad than the first. Sure the toppings are decent quality but honestly it's just bread sauce and some toppings. Tastes like a Costco pizza but it's more expensive and smaller.

Wow I ordered off the reviewers advice on YELP... Well like all of us foodies in here they were right! Ordered Chicken Siciliana OMG heavens it was amazing! Then I the lady repeated NY order over the phone CORRECTLY AND GAVE ME A TOTAL.. SOMETHING NOT TO MANY PLACES CAN SAY THEY DO ANYMORE... So thank you pizza lady who answered to my pizza craving Addiction.... Then the delivery was FAST UNDER 30 MIN and the driver was very polite I even tipped him more than I usually would anywhere else. Five stars!!!!!!

This place is so hit or miss. More misses though. I don't know why we keep going back. Convenience I guess. Our pizza tonight was barely luke warm and the crust was like eating cardboard. It wasn't burnt but I think because it was cold it was just awful. We've decided this is the last time we're ordering from here for a wry long while. Past orders have been wrong or items not delivered. Every once in a while we get a good order.

Placed an order online tonight for one pepperoni pizza and some lantern bread. Ordered at 6:00. It said our pizza would arrive between 6:50 and 7:00. Kind of a long time to wait, but we like their pizza. We called after 7:20 and were put on hold for 8 minutes before hanging up. Pizza arrived at 7:38. The pizza is barely even warm. We most likely won't be ordering takeout from here ever again. Maybe we will return to the restaurant in Clinton Twp. We enjoy their service and food. Waiting an hour and forty minutes for a simple delivery from just over one mile away is unacceptable.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... best local pizza you'll ever have. Their quality is better than other locals and won't leave you disappointed. I ordered the pepperoni pizza with bacon and cheese bread. The pepperoni used were the pepperoni bowls that were thick cut really good quality and spicy. Cheese bread was really good (how can you mess that up).

Wow, I have had numerous bad experiences at this location in the past, but this last one is the last time I order from here. From entirely wrong pizzas to horribly rude staff members, this place is still the worst pizza place I've ever had. Quick backstory: I hadn't had this location's pizza in over three years due to it being SO freaking bad in the past. But, thanks to exhausting all options during the stupid lockdown, we decided to try it about a month ago. To my shock, it was actually good. The staff was awful, like usual, but the pizza was good. So, we ran the risk in getting it again last week. Big mistake. My most recent experience was between 4:45pm and 6:25pm (seriously, this garbage took that long). Not the worst time to order a pizza I thought. Sadly, after waiting for over an hour and a half for cold, burnt pizza, here we are. We ordered via the app at 4:45pm and even have the email proving the time. After still not having our pizza at 5:45pm while waiting in the waiting area, we kept asking where our order was (one large pizza, one lantern bread, and one gluten free pizza). The teenager at the counter said that it would be out in just a minute. Ten minutes later, after asking again, we were told our order just went in. WHAT? We asked for the manager, yet none was available. Shocking! This location never has a manager on staff, just four 15-year-olds. We asked to cancel our order and get the credit back on our card but were told they couldn't do because they weren't trained to and to simply wait as it was coming out. At this point, another customer told us to stop bothering them and let them do their job and proceeded to call us bitches. We actually didn't react to this, but the staff did by laughing along with the old man. I bit my tongue hard on this as my girlfriend urged me not to cause a scene with a man three times my age or children half my age. Upon finally receiving our order at 6:25pm, we looked at the order ticket and it showed that it was punched into the system at 5:45pm, conveniently when we started asking where our order was. Are you kidding me? At this point, the rude old man had already left with the teenage boys telling him thanks for the laughs and that they'd see him soon as he told us to enjoy our F'ing evening. If the experience itself weren't bad enough, the pizza was literally ice cold, had the wrong toppings (how do you screw up ham???), and the gluten free pizza was drier than the box it came in. If TJ and the other owners of the restaurant on 15 Mile Road, which is actually very good, cared about their brand, they would shut this horrible franchise down. If anyone reads this, NEVER EVER order from this location. Only go to the actual restaurant on 15 Mile Road if you want pizza from them near Clinton Township. To all of the staff at the Hayes carry-out, enjoy your F'ing evening too. Oh, I forgot...the ranch they gave us was spoiled and sour too! Way to keep things fresh Green Lantern.

Unbelievably expensive. 2 medium pizzas and a salad. $49.70?!? Yeah ummm... no. The pizza used to be good, I don't know who they have working in that kitchen now, but the pizza is soggy and burnt in all the wrong places. Really really bad pizza.

Green lantern Pizza....ok let's begin with I've never had a dry pizza,from this reastraunt,there is absolutely a meal in itself.and it's good afternoon,next day or hot,cold...Try it especially with mushrooms.... I'm not a pizza lover but my Mom is and she loves Green lantern and so will anyone who wants a pizza made to perfection... KEEP UP THE QUALITY...

Ordered 2 pizzas for delivery online. One was a BLT pizza. An hour later the driver arrived. Handed me my partial order and says, "They told me to tell you they ran out of lettuce and couldn't make your BLT, so they'll refund that price." Do you think the company could have taken initiative and tried to reach me with this issue? Or just made it without and offered a discount? Nope, instead the driver wanted the $12 pre paid tip and didn't want me to cancel the order. I hope the manager is reading as I will NEVER use your bs establishment again. Your workers are incompetent and too stupid to address this simple of a problem.

This place use to kick ass. Not sure what happened. No dipping sauce we PAID for. Shifty chicken ( use to be so good). If I was the owner of the green lanterns, I'd be looking into management for this location. I use to live literally down the road from royal oak location and it was always stellar. this one's gone to shit in the last year. I love green lantern but no more from this location. Which means jets from now on for us. I called ( not for anything free) but to just tell the manager how the order wasn't good. The person that answered the phone, I told " I would like to tell a Manger how crappy you guys have been lately, and the person who picked up the phone I could hear say " somebody wants to tell you how crappy we've been" as if it was a joke to him. I could tell the manager could also give 2 f's. Jets it is unless we're in Madison heights, which doesn't happen often. I love and will miss you green lantern.​

Truly horrible pizza. Not even Luke warm. The bottom of the crust is an odd texture and there is nearly no outer crust. It's a Tuesday night so you'd think they wouldn't be swamped but clearly this was a rushed don't care job. Won't be going back.

Was skeptical after reading the mixed reviews so I went in to order, took about 25 minutes. 10/10 for sure. Got a large half John's jumbo half pepperoni & pineapple. I won't get mushrooms next time but hell yes to everything else.

Every single time I've ordered pizza here they always get it wrong so the last time they got it wrong I called to let them know they kept putting me on hold I will tell them that the order is wrong they would say one moment please wait on hold and on and on so finally I called back again after a couple minutes of being on hold they put me on hold again this time for five minutes and then I finally heard the manager yell out she can wait when I drove up there it's all just a bunch of young kids the manager was just sitting in the back talking to some other girl she wouldn't apologize for the messed up order or any of the other messed up orders and seemed like she was actually upset that I brought it up this isn't the first time that this happens I'm not gonna be coming back here And honestly the pizza overpriced and gives me heartburn every single time

Been ordering from here for months, always delivered. Yesterday I called to order and after the girl answered and I requested Delivery, she put me on hold. Then some guy gets on and tells me "I'm not in their delivery range" I tell him I've ordered the last 5x to be delivered, and I have a $20.00 credit from Last time the driver turned the pizza sideways. So he agrees to do the order 1 last time because he's trying to get his delivery time down. By the way it's less than 5 miles away. So good luck with this restaurant.

Truly disappointed it the "Greek Salad" we ordered tonight. Eggs? Ham? Salami? Provolone? Explain how THIS could be GLP Greek salad. (???) I can't believe we we forced to buy this on a carry-out after arguing it wasn't what the menu described at all. WTF, #GreenLanternPizza?!?!?

Stopped in to get a couple of slices one day. Charged me $2.50 a slice, and one slice was an end and was only about 2/3 the size of the other. I was shocked at the high price, never having been there, but the counter clerk said it was worth it because it would be the best pizza I ever tasted. Well, it was the WORST pizza I've ever tasted. Totally awful. I should have gone down to Markie's on 9 mile on my way downtown. Pizza slices are larger, you have a choice of round or square, they're $2 a slice, and they're excellent tasting!

Excellent pizza. Even better cheesy pizza bread. My daughter LOVES pizza and this has become our go-to as of late. Hubby lived by the original and always went there with his family. Glad we can share in this with our daughter. Only complaint is the salad- we ordered a greek recently and the feta tasted terrible. Not sure what was up with that, but we will just stick to pizza and bread from now on!!

I've been having friends rave about this place for years. While the inside atmosphere is nice and the servers are attentive, the food is not as good as people say. As a fan of Detroit style pizza, I thought this place would be better. Honestly, if you're looking for the best Detroit Style pizza, skip this place and go to Buddy's.

GLP is by far the best pizza place around. The King of Pepperoni is their catch phrase. Believe it, the lil cups of grease when they crisp up, sooo yummy. The whole menu is tasty. Awesome food at a reasonable price.

This place has bad management or ownership. I used a coupon with the code on it and they did not tell me to bring it in and so I forgot. Once there, they would not give me the food because I did not have the paper coupon. They wanted me to drive all the way back to my house just so I could prove I had it even though I gave them the code. The managment is unprofessional. If you have any problem you will not get it solved. I even told headquarters about it and they ignored me. Its a family owned franchise which clearly does not care about customers just profits. I expect more from family owned businesses. As for the pizza, well its way too greasy so I don't recommend it to anyone who cares about there health. There are many pizza shops in the area so I would recommend heading to a more customer friendly one.

Great food and good pricing. The pizzas were cooked perfectly and our sub was the best we have ever had! The girl employee who greeted us was friendly and was happy to help. She checked our food in front of me to make sure it was cooked to order. We will be back!

Love the pizza, salad and bread here. Always fresh and tasty. I like that they always check to make sure the order is correct by opening your pizza box to verify you have the right pizza. Friendly workers. My family's favorite carryout pizza place!

This pizza is pretty delish. They don't go easy on the toppings which is really nice. I got the thin crust Meat Lovers, so much meat! Loved it! I will say they could ease up on the salt on the pizza, but that wouldn't deter me from eating there again. They also deliver to the Clinton Township area and had a super fast delivery!

Very good pizza, I have never had a bad pizza from this location, also the wings are very meaty and very tender. I prefer the square pizza and the deep dish round pizza is a little greasy for my liking but still very good overall.

These guys have never disappointed - even with horrible weather - these guys deliver. Pepperoni is the old Italian style and very hard to find. Food is always hot when delivered and the delivery guys are always kind and courteous. Did I mention that the food is never late? They don't skimp on the toppings, sauce is perfectly spicy and there's no shortage of wonderful cheese. These guys are honestly the best kept secret in the neighborhood and will continue to get my money, my business and my recommendations to friends and family.

Best pizza in town. The staff is young but they make very good food. This location (18 and Hayes) is just as good if not better than the other locations. Their delivery drivers are on point and very polite. The inside staff is always attentive to each customer and speedy in getting you your hot food quickly. I give them five stars because I know I'll be a customer for a very long time. While I was last in the store they were even playing my favorite song by Stevie Nicks.

I ordered a pizza and salad from this Green Lantern location recently. I was told my food would be ready for pick up at 5:45. When I arrived they said it would be a moment. 30 minutes later and after multiple times of asking when my pizza would be ready. They found it sitting in the warmer. It had been ready the entire time. Poor employee training, I will not be back.

I tried for first time very disappointed pizza good antipasto salad quite a bit of brown lettuce and red onions so strong smelled up my whole house had to them in a bag and put it outside very disappointed also ordered 3 cornbeef sandwich the bread was very dry not the freshest of products

Shane the manager is a joke. This location sends me emails with a coupons but when its a free item he flips out, he said he was ok with losing a customer who orders pizza once a week for years over a valid free breadstick coupon, the pizza is not worth dealing with the management that treats there customers like that. Maybe if they stop sending free item coupons, customers wouldn't be trying to use them:) that's a thought :) again Shane the manager have a great day:) don't sign up for the pizza for a year contest inside there location . That's where they receive your email to send coupons they won't except

Just tried to call them, on Yelp they are supposed to be open until 2 am. Unfortunately they did not answer the phone so I couldn't place a order.

When I was told that this would be the greatest pizza I'd ever eat, I hesitated. Usually, whether it be a film, television show or food, such substantial hype only inspires me to prove the opposite, because like any adult male, I refuse to allow myself any fun or enjoyment in life. I have never in my life been more happy to have been wrong. This pizza alone invalidated every trip to Chicago's legendary pizzerias, and destabilized my entire life and understanding of what a pizza could be. If this pizza was a woman, I'd leave my girlfriend for it. Sorry.

Best pizza in the area. A little pricy but worth it. The cheese bread and Italian sub are incredible.

Ordered a chicken Sicilian pizza in square.... Yo! That pizza was the bomb! Can't go wrong with green lantern! So glad they came out to the area instead of having to drive 30 minutes to Madison heights for amazing pizza!

There's really nothing better than a Green Lantern pizza. Check that - there's one thing that overshadows their pie....their customer service and commitment to guest satisfaction. Now, I may sound like a slappy here, but I recently had an issue with an online order and was highly disappointed. SO disappointed that I originally gave Green Lantern one star. Not even 24 hours after the error, I got a personal phone call from the owner of the company...not to simply apologize, but to let me know that my comments were heard and that changes to their online ordering system were already in place. F-ing outstanding. Not a lot of places "get it". Green Lantern does. So go and enjoy their pizza...support a local company that does things the right way. I've always been a fan, but now I'm an ambassador. Keep up the good work, Green Lantern.
