Maybe this was a communication disaster amp'ed up, but it was very telling of how Green Lotus CEO, Bassem Ghali operates. I liked the white label services of Green Lotus, they delivered valuable workshops, and I enjoyed working with Clive.
But at the end of the day, Green Lotus took 3 months of monthly fees from me and did not deliver on the one initiative I hired them for. By the time this occurred, I had run out of time for my platform to be effective.
When I cancelled my services I was quite disappointed. It was an utter waste of time, money and expectation. This also left me with nothing in hand moving into my high season. This is where a CEO who has leadership and people skills comes into the picture. Bassem Ghali has none of these qualities. He was a bully hiding behind his own ego who didn't take the time or have the objectivity to see where his company could have err'ed.
At the time, Bassem Ghali had been a guest on my podcast and I was quite supportive of his events and company. Bottom line in business is, you never allow any person who supports your platform to walk away when you can rectify the situation. If this is what a CEO chooses to respond to a ally, what will he do if he doesn't know you?
Because Bassem Ghali is incapable of this, I simply could not justify supporting his company, his platform and his position. I simply believe him that he is not the leader I want to be associated with and although I missed out on my timeline, lost hundreds of dollars for nothing, and experienced disappointment, I think I am much better off. There are much better SEO resellers out there than Green Lotus.
