Me & a very good friend popped in yesterday for the first time for some soft drinks as we had been going for a drive in my car. We dont live locally but decided to have a pit stop here for a drink. From the outside, what a beautiful building. Gravel car park, outdoor seating to the left, all very well kept. We entered intrepidly to be encountered with two doors, left & right. We decided to try the right door & were met with a friendly group of patrons with very cute doggos. This part of the bar had a pool table & the friendly locals/regulars instantly engaged in conversation as my friend fussed their four legged companions. We ordered our drinks & asked if there were other seats & were directed to the other side of the bar through the left side door. Barmaid very friendly, welcoming & helpful. The other side of the bar had more seating & was a very comfortable & equally friendly place to relax. We spent a good couple of hours chatting between ourselves & never felt a burden or we were out staying our welcome. I had a pint of coke & my friend a non alcoholic elderberry concoction which we sipped at a relatively slow pace due to talking to eachother. As we left a lady who I assume was the landlady cheerily said goodbye & see you soon. I left no rating on food as we only had drinks but we will be returning with my friends doggo & we will be eating then. In conclusion, the green man is a beautiful pub in a very pretty village with attentive, polite, friendly staff & it's doggo friendly. We both look forward to seeing you again soon with a pomeranian in tow.
