Green Mesquite BBQ

Was craving a really good chicken fried steak and tried this place on a whim. I did not regret it. Even after waiting 10-15 for it to be delivered it was still warm, crisp, and delicious. The batter was fried perfection. The okra was great too! Had higher hopes for the Mac n cheese but next time I’ll just get double okra. Really enjoy this!!

WORST BBQ EVER!!! The only reason this place got 1 star is because google maps would not let me give them 0 stars. 40 dollars for 4 po boys! The meat had no flavor, and was dry. Not even the BBQ sauce that came with it, could not fix it. I used a 25 dollar restaurant.com gift certificate, and that wasn't even worth it. Y'all better step up your game if y'all are going to sell BBQ in Texas. Not even my children liked this BBQ, and they like everything. I feel like I got ripped off and will never come back here again.

THEY ARE NOW OPEN! I’ve been looking forward for this place to open since before COVID hit, due to COVID, the opening was pushed back to a couple weeks ago. I was able to stop in today and I wasn’t disappointed. Ordered Mac and cheese, jambalaya, fries, and potato salad with ice cream and peach cobbler for desert, so I can’t really speak for the BBQ, but I’m sure it’s good from what I did have. The food was really good; it was slightly busy (which I was happy to see as I was worried not many people had gone to visit due to the location and pushed back opening); our waitress was extremely nice and helpful and was doing her all to help all customers in the establishment being the only one at the time! Give this place a shot, prices are pretty low and it’s a nice atmosphere.

I sorely disappointed in this location. I ordered a 3 meat plate, which came to me as a 2 meat plate. I have eaten at the other locations, so I have something to compare it to. I ordered moist brisket, and it came out dry and definitely not moist. Disappointed in the order, but the food was pretty good. I’ll probably stick to going to the other locations, and not this one.

This restaurant deserves zero stars. When you order 2lbs of brisket and 1lb is fat. We will never order from or recommend this place to anyone. The best thing is to STAY AWAY!

Excellent bbq,the brisket is smoky and tender, the ribs and chicken were really tender and juicy ,the beer is good and cold,and the atmosphere is laid back and lots of things 2 look at. The staff was friendly and helpful, it's definitely a great place to go and eat bbq.

We love Green Mesquite but they probably should step up their game. There is a lot of competition out their serving larger portions. The satellite restaurants don't have the same quality as the original.

Excellent BBQ. Turkey and brisket were both very good, sauce is great and the pinto beans were fantastic. Good value compared to some other options.
