No frills, big plates. I usually go for budae jjigae but my friend swears by their wings . Best samgyeopsal in Pittsburgh.

Friendly staff quickly seated us. Menu had pictures which made ordering easy. Dishes seemed authentic and were served with banchan of kimchi, a macaroni salad, and cucumber. Pitcher of water was put on table, which was convenient. Portions were generous. They have lots of drinks as self service in an open air refrigerator. Was somewhat busy, but didn't feel over crowded. Most patrons appeared Asian, which I think is a good sign and comment on authenticity. Restraunt appeared clean and well decorated. We found street parking fairly close without a problem. Overall, great place to stop for a lunch.

This is my first ever Korean Restaurant experience (I normally eat Chinese, Thai Jamaican or Japanese food) my friend recommended this place so we went. Wow, the food is amazing!! I can't remember how to pronounce all of names of these foods, but they were all good!!! There's this sushi-like roll and that's my favorite. I then ordered spicy chicken and it's on point. My husband ordered beef and that was great too. Overall great experience and I'm definitely gonna try more Korean food in the future!

Google
Super solid Korean spot in the middle of town! Didn’t expect the food to be this good. Not the best I’ve ever had but it definitely hit the spot. Pork belly was nicely charred and slightly crispy on the outside. The small pickled side dishes were on point as well. We even got to try chicken feet which was the first time we’d ever seen that outside of dim sum. Was interesting but probably won’t order that again. Lots of street parking right outside on a Tuesday night. Will definitely be back!

Google
We came with high expectation but I was kinda disappointed . Dish overpriced or Portion is small. Staff is friendly. Decor / atmosphere : great, 5 star. Like : Kimbap beef : taste good. Ok: Naengmyeon, cold noodle. Won’t order again. Disappoint : Army stew for two not worth it. Definitely wont order again.

Cozy vibes at this delicious and moderately priced Korean spot. Whether you're in the mood for K chicken wings or bibimbap, you will be satisfied with the large portions and depth of flavor. Staff and timing were prompt and the food was sizzling when it arrived at our table.

Google
I placed an online order for pickup of both kimbap options (beef and fish) and shared for lunch. Both were hearty and delicious and we really appreciated both kimchi sides! Service was super quick, friendly and attentive. I did not dine in but the atmosphere in the entry was lovely and relaxing with comfy seating, a peaceful water fountain and plants galore. I love kimbap for lunch so I look forward to stopping in again soon!

Google
I was worried because of some recent negative reviews, but the food was truly delicious. I was especially surprised by the pickled lettuce and side dishes that came with the pork belly — they tasted so authentically Korean! (It must have been really hard to source those ingredients here.) When I had the soft tofu stew on the first day, the flavor was a bit mild for a Korean palate, so on the second day I asked if they could make the kimchi stew spicier with less broth — and wow, it was one of the best tuna kimchi stews I’ve had, even compared to ones in Korea. I’m so happy to have found a spot like this in Pittsburgh, just like the one in Singapore. I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I miss home or crave something healthy during my long business trip. Thank you so much, owner!

Google
About the Place : Went there for dinner. This place is different in terms of ordering food to getting your own plates. I kinda like the idea of self serving everything based on needs from water to cutlery to dishes to the To Go box. About the Food : Ordered 2 things that we good 1. Sea food pancake : This was good in terms of combination of different meats and batter. The only con of these was it was frozen meat. 2. Spicy pork : This was a better entree with good amount of meat for one person served with rice. U can choose how spicy it can be. The default wasn’t too spicy for me so had to order extra spicy sauce. The only con about this was there was too much oil in this. Vibes of the place : The ambience was good. They made it like a cafe where student can come and study I suppose. The server was good and welcoming. Rating : Would definitely go there again to try different things.

Yelp
We went to this place on a Saturday night. It was almost empty. We were greeted and seated immediately. The ambiance was nice and pleasant. The service was so friendly and attentive and timely. We enjoyed a bunch of dishes from their menu. All were well prepared and tasty. We enjoyed our dinner. It's a good place for a casual Korean meal if you are around the location.

Yelp
The food was mid, service was slow and a little chaotic. Appetizers came out last. Nothing particularly special. We got the bulgogi and spicy pork

Yelp
Among three dishes, beef bone soup was the best. The spicy seafood rice cake & instant noodle did give us a cake but with all those frozen seafood smell. The dumplings tofu soup was ok, didn't hit the spot. Service was good.

Yelp
Delicious place!! Came here after getting tea up the street and it was so good! Service was fast and so nice! It is pricier but the portions are huge! Clean inside and wasn't very busy when we went!

Yelp
Have ordered several times from Green Pepper but it's our first dine-in experience. It's actually quite nice. Their dishes are delicious as usual. The restaurant is spacious. I love that they have some Korean drinks as options. The serving speed is also fast. Will come back again.

Yelp
Delicious. We stopped in today for dumplings, spring rolls and Korean bbq (sweet and spicy) wings. They bring a few pre meal bites to the table, these were all delicious. And post meal they brought tiny little fruity drinks. Service was good food was all tasty. There are many other items on the menu that i would like to try. Tried this spot on a whim as we had parked out front to visit Jerry's Records down the block. Would 10/10 go here again and recommend you do too!

Yelp
Great option of whats limited in Pittsburgh for a taste of korean food. The menu has a wide variety from snack eats to stews. We had the mackerel fish and a kimchi stew. The food was good and tasted well seasoned and fresh. The service was good and they use gas stoves to keep things hot. I would recommend this place for some korean eats!

Yelp
I love Green Pepper! I've been a few times now, and the seafood la-po-keep is my favorite. The prices have definitely gone up a bit in recent years, but I don't think they're outrageous. The food is delicious and the restaurant is adorably decorated. The service is relatively hands-off aside from taking our orders and refilling waters, but I often prefer that when I come to chat with friends. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Another great Korean staple in Pittsburgh! First time coming here in person, though I frequently order on meal delivery apps. The seating seemed quite ample. Upon being seated, we were directed to get our own utensils, water, etc. from a station on the side. The seafood pancake was satisfyingly fried and crunch, and the bibimbap also crisped up nicely in a hot stone pot. Will definitely continue to order from here!

Eliza O.

Yelp
Every time I've gone here the food tastes phenomenal and the service is great! They have a decently sized menu but not a ton of vegetarian options. I get the japchae every time because of this but it is super delicious so I don't mind getting it. They play music videos which makes sitting there very fun and the ambiance is great! I've been there about three times and always look forward to going back.

Yelp
High price for mediocre food. First of all, you don't get any banchan. I got the fried chicken appetizer, cold noodles, and bibimbap. The fried chicken was probably the best out of the three. It was crispy and came with a lot sauce. I feel like it was too much sauce, though. The cold noodles had a nice texture but the sauce/soup was pretty off. It had a strong tomato-y taste to it instead of the sweet/spicy that I was expecting. The bibimbap came with tons of beef, which was nice. However, it was lacking in the variety of toppings. I feel like kimchi is usually given as a topping for bibimbap but it did not have any. Lastly, the rice was so mushy and overall just not great.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, but complicated ordering system and very high prices. All but one or two entrees were priced at over $20. For the smaller and simpler dishes like soondubu or kimchi fried rice, this seemed overpriced. To order, you had to scan a QR code at the table, place your order, and then create an account to pay if you were paying with something besides Apple Pay. The extra step of making an account was a little annoying. Our group paid separately which provided to be a challenge. When people scanned the same QR code, all items added to the same cart regardless of which device was used to add the entree. So we each had to take turns ordering and check out so we could pay separately. The waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating to our group and everyone was satisfied with their food.

Yelp
Ever since my friend took me here last year, I have gone here anytime I have the excuse to. I remember the first time my friend introduced me to the place, she ate there two other times in the same week because of how much she liked the food there. This place used to be a self-serve place with drinks and cutlery but now has a server to seat you and grab your water and utensils. The food here is amazing. I've had everything including the Korean Saucy Chicks, Chive Pancake Roll, Garl Bee, Bibim Bop, Spicy Seafood Soon Doo Boo, and Job Chae from what I can remember. If you only want to order one thing, get the Spicy Seafood Soon Doo Boo. I cannot tell you the number of times I've ordered this. It's the perfect combination of warm and somewhat spicy broth with soft tofu and seafood. They even pair it with rice to slowly put into the broth and eat together. I can't even count how many times I've even UberEats this when I've been just craving it or down in the dumps because of school work or life in general. Definitely one of my comfort foods. The vibe here is pretty cozy. Some tables have regular wooden chair seats, but the larger tables have couches as part of the seating, which is homey. They also play random kpop music, but I don't mind it much, just background noise when the food comes. I would definitely recommend this place, and I am going to keep coming back here again!

Yelp
Great ambiance and tastes great! It's slightly more expensive than I would like to pay for Korean food and they don't serve Banchans (side dishes) with your orders. Great place to curb your Korean food cravings for sure. Ordered their Galbi and Army Stew.

Yelp
I thought the food was authentic Korean flavour. Pancake was cute, crispy twist. Service is good and fast. Interesting ambiance though but still good.

Yelp
It's always a treat coming to Green Pepper. They are slightly pricier than other Korean restaurants, but it's so good! My go to is usually their seafood soon do bu. When you call them to order, they would offer a side of kimchi as well! The flavor is always on point, and I like that they give you a variety of seafood.
google avatar

Brandon W.

Yelp
Soy Garlic (6wings), Grilled Pork Belly Food was tasty and the fried chicken was super crispy. But a bit expensive and doesn't come with banchan
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Two soon-doo-boos, fried dumplings, and veggie croquettes. I spent $45 and was told that what I ordered "doesn't come with banchan because it comes with rice". It's just a little crazy to me that's the policy. I've never been to a Korean store that a meal didn't offer banchan, especially after spending $45. Needless to say, I likely won't be returning as a customer. Minus one star for No traditional side dishes, minus another star for poor customer service, and minus another star for having something brown/yellow in the middle of my rice Edit: I also minus one star because I also have never been to a Korean food restaurant where they didn't allow us to change spice level or make not spicy for kids. My kid loves soon-doo-boo and all other places can do not spicy for him except this restaurant.
google avatar

Jenn G.

Yelp
There are much better Korean places in the city. Here the food is super expensive and just okay on flavor. They don't give you the appetizer assortment at the beginning of the meal or with your meal. The ambiance is lacking. There are weird bar decorations hung up talking about beer and margaritas like you've walked into a Chili's restaurant. And to really wet your appetite, they seat you on dirty couches with glaring stains. Odd choice and I felt a little squicked out to sit on it, but I bore through the weirdness. My group's food came out at weird times, and they'd completely forgotten to make 2 out of 5 of the meals. Good thing we were eating family style or my friends would have gone hungry for an hour.

Yelp
I love this place! There aren't a lot of good Korean restaurants in the burgh, and I was really craving juicy, hot, and saucy KFC. That's right - Korean Fried Chicken! Every so often, I'll see a fried chicken commercial, and the craving for KFC just overcomes me. Before Green Pepper, I hadn't found a great place to satisfy those cravings. Sure, Chick'n and Bubbly kept it at bay for a while, but the juiciness of the KFCs there just wasn't quite the same. Thank goodness I finally found a great place for KFC! The KFC is crunchy, juicy, and still piping hot after a car ride! Green Pepper has also been really good about pick up during the COVID times. Everything is placed with your name out on the table, so you really don't have to seen anyone to pick up your food. They also offer sauce on the side so the crispiness of the chicken doesn't get lost sitting in sauce. And lastly, be sure to double up on the pickled daikon to get that great crunch and pickled contrast to the KFC. Do try this place and keep this small business open - they're the best KFC in the burgh!

Lauren G.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, I am so disappointed. This place used to be SO delicious. I haven't been here since before Covid, and oh my has it gone downhill. I ordered the bibimbap with beef, which is what I always get, and it was mediocre, if that. The rice was mushy, (it's supposed to get crispy from the hot stone bowl), It had hardly any flavor (I had to douse it in hot sauce, which i never did before), and the beef on top was just like plain hamburger meat. This is not at ALL what they used to serve. And you don't get all the yummy sides anymore either. I am super sad. :(
google avatar

Victoria W.

Yelp
Very good! We ordered delivery and we were very pleased with our choices. The food was so good. My friends ordered and I just went along with the flow. I enjoyed everything I ate. The bimbimbap was my favorite! I will be getting food from here again! Yum :)

Yelp
The food is good, but the prices are ridiculous. We got 3 dishes plus wings. It was over $100 dollars. I went with a person who grew up on Korean food. The food was good, probably the best Korean food in Pittsburgh so far in terms of menu options/no odd "twists" or "takes" on Korean food. However, you have to pay for Banchan (sides) which is very unusual. And it functions now (unlike previously from what I've heard) as a self-serve. Meaning you order at the front, sit at your preference, and go and get your own plates, water, utensils, napkins at the station they have set up. You see the server when they drop off your order at the table, but not any additional contact after that. I will say, the chicken wings are the closest to Korean fried chicken out of all of Pittsburgh, they are crispy and actually seem double fried--which many other places claim to but don't. However they came saturated in sauce. The sauce was good, but it would have been better if they just did a quick coating rather than plate the wings in a puddle of it. The tteokbokki, samgyeopsal, and galbi were solid. Very good, the tteokbokki sauce was a good savory fishy flavor not too much sweetness, and the galbi had a good amount of meat on it!

Yelp
We live in Squirrel Hill and walked here for dinner. It was just okay. We got the Bimbimbop and Beef Bulgogi. My husband liked the Bim, but overall I'd keep trying new places vs go to this place again. The service was super slow and there weren't a lot of people there.
google avatar

Sara Z.

Yelp
Unfortunately green pepper has gone a bit down the hill over the past few years. Their menu has considerably downsized and a lot of my old favorites like cold noodles is no longer available. Their prices are really expensive for the food you're getting and they no longer include ANY sides with their dishes. Everything is now self service which may be a pro for some people. I will say the portions are big and can be split into two meals. I personally didn't like the sauces that come with their friend chicken, it's incredibly sweet and a bit too slimy in texture for me. The chicken itself is super crunchy and if you're going to get it, I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side. The bibimbap is solid in flavors and portion sizes for those that love it. I liked the tofu and kimchi but I did feel like it could've been a little stronger in flavor and seasoning. Slightly unrelated, but if you dine in, they play a mix of k-pop, which is fine, but they've been mixing in weird clips of news that are sometimes political or too graphic for dining. We've once had to ask if they could turn the TV off because the news clip was replaying a lot of violent imagery.
google avatar

Florie A.

Yelp
Pricey but you'll get great quality Korean meal. Lots of colors and vegetables. Mine was a lot I had to take it home.
google avatar

Lexi A.

Yelp
We went in to try and it was just okay. It was self serve which I honestly didn't mind because then you're only waiting on your food. We got the kimchi stew, japche, beef bibimbap, and fried chicken. Everything was pretty good except the stew was really salty. Everything was very over priced as well. $17 for 6 pieces of fried chicken... and the japche didn't have any meat it was just veggies. Also soju was $15 a bottle. Also no banchan at all not even to order as an appetizer or side which was very disappointing.
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
One of my fav places for Korean in pittsburgh if not my favorite. I was here like 7 years ago before moving back so the food has definitely gotten much pricier and the menu looks a lot smaller. Albeit, this food is good and they used to give us a lot of yummy banchan
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
This is a nice Korean restaurant on Murray. We went for dinner. We decided to order the vegetarian bibimbap and the kimchi stew. The banchan isn't per person and is for the whole table, but you can get more after finishing at no cost. I personally ordered the kimchi stew. Came out super hot, which was great. It comes with a side of rice, and even if the stew looks kind of small, there's a lot of soup in there. I wish there was more rice in comparison to the amount of soup. The soup was good, good amount of tofu but very little pork. Plenty of kimchi in the soup which was nice. My friend who ordered the bibimbap said it was good, but a little too oily. Overall, the food was good, but my main issue was the price. My soup was $16!! And the vegetarian bibimbap was also $16! I thought that was way too expensive for both of them, especially the bibimbap. I probably wouldn't come here again because it's so expensive and they give a reasonable amount of food, but not for the price of $16. If my entree is $16, I'm expecting a meal that is more more high quality or generous with portions and I didn't get that.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
My friend invited me to dinner here and I'm so glad she did! The only things that weren't self-serve were the entrees themselves. Everything else - water, dishes, chopsticks, etc. - was off to the side where you pick out what you want and bring it all over to your table. Some of the seats around the tables are plush couches! Super fun, chill place to go for Korean food. And for vegetarians, there are yummy options available. I had a vegetarian dish and absolutely loved it. Definitely recommend this one!

Yelp
We went to visit green pepper couple times in the past. The food is always okay but over priced. We went back again this week. They updated the menu and increased the price. I tried the pork cutlet and the sauce is a bit weird to me. It looks like the curry sauce but not a curry. The soon do boo is decent, very thick and spicy. I like their new addition of self service side dishes. Previously, the waiter took a long time to fill your side dishes or if they every fill your side dish.

Yelp
Coming from an area where there is a Korea-town nearby, I've been to some really nice Korean restaurants, and Green Pepper didn't even come close to the places I've been in the past. To start off, the service is extremely slow. Despite the fact that there were two open tables when I talked into the restaurant, the waiter refused to sit me. When I insisted that they just sit us down for the third time, they simply put two white sheets of paper over the table and then went about their business. Seriously? Just sit down your customers next time, since your waiting area is literally just one small couch that is placed uncomfortably close to another dining table. The waiter I had also had no idea what any of the dishes on the menu were. I get it that the menu is large, but you should probably know what Seafood pancake is if it's literally the most popular appetizer on the menu. As for the food, I was not impressed. The Seafood Pancake appetizer looked ok, but was just not really flavored well. Everything was really bland, and the mixture was a bit messy. Also, there just wasn't enough seafood, so it ended up being a salad pancake with an occasional shrimp. For the main course, the bulgogi, I was really disappointed. The meat was not even cut like bulgogi should be, which is thin slices. Instead, I received short noodle-like meat cuts that you would find at a Chinese place. The meat was also too sweet so it didn't really taste like Korean bbq. What a disappointment.

Yelp
This was already one of the best Korean restaurants in the ",butgh but now under COVID-19 restrictions they are shining even more so. I ordered delivery of some tricky dishes that are difficult to get exactly right the temperature and texture of the item and they did so. I'm talking about the seafood pancakes, a real delicacy although also a street food in Korea. They arrived with that elusive texture, not too crispy but not too soft. And temperature wise they were just at the right warmth, not too hot or too cold to enjoy. The par dak chicken wings were just right sweet sour coating and fresh chicken wings. Next time I want to try the Tuck Bo Kee rice cakes and the vegetarian job chae ( can also be transliterated as chop chae. And they have a great variety of dishes even on their COVID-19 delivery menu. Looking forward to eating in the restaurant itself sometime in the future.

Yelp
The food here is delicious! Unfortunately my last visit was less than satisfactory. We had a 7pm reservation but were not seated until about 8pm. This was not totally the restaurant's fault - they told us that prior patrons at the table we were supposed to have lingered a long time after paying their check. Nevertheless I have to review based on my experience, and waiting in the entranceway for an hour was not ideal (it's on the restaurant to kick those people out or find us another table). The manager did give us a free entree as an apology, so that was nice! Once we were seated, there were a few minor mishaps - my friend's glass was unclean and we were not given silverware. Still, we enjoyed all of the food. The vegetarian bibimbap is probably my favorite entree, and I loved the scallion pancake appetizer It's worth it for the food but be prepared to wait, even with a reservation

Yelp
Enjoyable Korean dish experience. I'm not very knowledgeable about Korean cuisine but one of my dinner companions had been here and recommended the Bibim-Bop (love the name) dish. You can order it either vegetarian or with bull-go-gi which is beef. I ordered the vegetarian dish. In place of beef is tofu. It comes in a very hot stone bowl. There is rice at the bottom and then vegetables and finally, the tofu on the very top. The dish comes with a fried egg in it which was easily waived so I did. It comes with a side of peppery red paste and I used very gingerly. It was very flavorful and the quantity served is definitely more than I could eat at one sitting. The price for the vegetarian version is about 15.00, while the beef version is about 1.00 extra. Before this dish came to the table, there are side dishes (I believe we had 5) that are served per table, not per person. Some included kimchee, potatoes, sweet potato something, noodles, and broccoli. All were good. I didn't think I would like kimchee, but I was pleasantly surprised. And, you can ask for a refill on these side dishes, which we also did. After dinner, they served us each a small cup of a persimmon drink. It was quite tasty and tasted of cinnamon. The space is pleasant, service efficient and courteous, and food plentiful and tasty while the price was fair but maybe slightly on the high side. Some notes: There were 7 of us seated at two tables pushed together. Their policy appears to be one check per table (regardless of number in your party I'm not quite sure) and you get a ten percent discount if the table pays by cash. There happens to be an ATM inside the restaurant.

Yelp
Location: Halfway down Murray. Park on Hobart Street to avoid the meters. Parallel parking on Murray is a headache during busy hours. Food: Korean fusion. Dumplings were perfect. Good portions. Food was mediocre for the price. Ps. they even the prices for taxes if it looks weird on the menu. Ex. $.93= $1 Drink: Try the pear or white grape juice... spectacular. Refill....please....refill. Service: Terrible the entire way. No direction of seating upon entering, not greeted, once seated slow approach to table with no introduction. Our server was the opposite of polite, snatched the menu out of my fiancé's hand, did not explain any standard questions. Overheard our server telling the table beside us that their house cocktail tastes like water-downed vodka. They actually walked to the liquor store for wine only to come back and have to fight to get stemware. Experience: I would never go back. That was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. Left 18% and will never recommend to anyone. Hire new staff, these guys are terrible. No table touch or follow up on food or a refill of drinks. We had to chase him down for our check. Without the juice, this place has nothing going for it.

Yelp
Got pick up for a belated Valentine's dinner and we are now annoyed that we waited so long to try this place. Absolutely WONDERFUL food! Everything we got was delicious. The beef bulgoli, the ribs, and the spicy pork belly were all winners. We will be back and we will bring friends.

Yelp
Really solid and delicious delivery from Green Pepper. We just had the sweet/spicy wings, shared bibimbap bowl, and shrimp kimchi stir fried rice. I'd super recommend the kimchi rice, hits all the spots. Wings were exactly as described. Would recommend if you're looking for some delicious Korean food for dinner! Delivery was lightning fast, too.

Yelp
Slightly confused by this place, while I thoroughly enjoyed the K-pop playing on the TV, I could see why others would be turned off by it. Our food was decent but I just didn't really find it THAT great. Like i won't be thinking about it for weeks. Keep in mind that all the side dishes come cold. Which is probably customary, just not for me. We got Korean fried chicken wings, Bi Bim Bap, and the Korean short ribs. We got a decent amount of food for the price (at first I was nervous about the prices). Bi Bim Bap was probably my favorite of the 3, the ribs were grilled perfectly but lacked a flavor, and the chicken was breaded WAY TOO MUCH. I'm always for new places so maybe I'll go back and try something completely unoriginal and out of the ordinary but I'm not sure, it just was ok.

Yelp
We visited Green Pepper with reservations for a large group of 15. We were seated in the back room which was perfect for both us and the other patrons. We started with a good mix of appetizers including lots of kimchi, chicken wings, chive pancake, and assorted dumplings. We enjoyed everything and particularly loved the chicken wings. I don't know what everyone had for dinner, but one had the mackerel and liked it. Another loved his the bibimbop. I had the spicy kimchi stew with pork. Of course, it was quite spicy and delicious. One friend had the pork belly BBQ and it was so tough she couldn't eat it and sent it back. Hers was the only complaint I heard.

Yelp
The taste is perfect. And the amount is just right. You won't feel too filled up but you are not hungry either after having this. I heard that green pepper's owner is always working on creating a new and better menu for customers. So every time I am expecting their new food, and their food always excels my imagination. Thank you for making such delicious food! I hope more people try out this new kimbap.

Yelp
5 stars for the chicken! Definitely calls for some cold beer... try them if Korea is too far but you wanna eat authentic korean chicken.

Yelp
Good Korea restaurant around the area. Seafood pancake had a bit too much flour but tasted okay. Kimchi fried rice came in a huge portion and was quite good.

Yelp
I was here for dinner with my friends. Though it was a Friday night, we found a table as soon as we arrived. We ordered sea food pancake, spicy chicken and kimchi fried rice for a party of 4 people. In the sea food pancake, I could identify squid and shrimp. The pancake was crispy outside and soft inside. The quantity and quality is worth the price. Spicy chicken with the rice they offer is delicious. I had the best experience when I ate it with the rice bowl they give. It is not too dry or not too watery. It has right consistency with amazing flavors. Kimchi fried rice was good too, but it is too oily. I am not sure if I will order this again. Specially when we approached the base of the pan, I felt like I was eating rice with oil. Not a great feeling. Overall, the food was good, and is worth another visit.

Yelp
First time coming here in over two years and the quality has gone down significantly. The complimentary side dishes had no flavor and they no longer offer kimchi to accompany the meal. Our dishes were also mediocre. We ordered a seafood noodle dish and the seafood was not fresh and the noodles were flooded in a really sweet sauce. Definitely won't be returning, which is unfortunate because the food used to be great!

Yelp
Whenever I had a first-visit to a Korean restaurant, I'd try their Galbi steak. Green pepper has really good Galbi steak. However, I think the most impressive dish is the Korean fired chicken wings! It's crispy outside and juicy inside! (I like soy garlic sauce). I think the chicken wings are really authentic and even better than the Korean chains in other cities! Their side dishes are really good too and they can be refilled, which is very nice though we didn't have kimchi for the side dish. The overall experience was great, I definitely come visit again.

Yelp
I've never been a huge ethnic food eater, but I've been expanding into it slowly over the past couple years. The Green Pepper was my first Korean experience and I have to say I was very impressed. I tried the bibimbap, which I believe is a pretty common dish, and loved every bite. It definitely provided a different take on a friend egg with sautéed vegetables, and the spicy pepper paste allowed for a contrasting flavor of which I could not get enough. The atmosphere seemed a little strange to me with the karaoke setup going, but from what I understand, karaoke is a relatively popular activity in Asian culture. They also had see-through glass tables which I can't recall ever seeing at a restaurant table before. Neither of these are complaints, obviously, but just aspects that set the scene of the location. I'd love to eat here again, and when that time comes maybe I won't embarrass myself by trying to act like I know how to eat with chopsticks.

Yelp
Man, I've been to many Korean restaurants in the USA and outside the US (in my beautiful motherland of S. Korea baby!!!), and Green Pepper is the classiest Korean restaurant I've been to (don't really know if this is a pro or con, but it was definitely interesting). The side dishes were yummy and the refills were free! The bibimpop was nice & LA galbi was very tender! Overall, the experience was nice.
