After driving an hour plus just to make sure we hit town before their early closing time because I loved their coffee, snacks, and atmosphere, we were sorely disappointed with the current Green Salmon. I'm usually supportive of the need for business to adapt and change, but to be brutally honest, I loved this place before and now have no reason to go back. The snacks are pretentious and feel forced, the set up to order is now cramped and leaves you feeling like cattle, the merch is overwhelming and seems to be far more important than the ingestible point of being there, the coffee was not good, and neither was the smoothie my cohort ordered. I am a big fan of interesting takes on all food, especially beverages, I'll try just about anything and I'm pretty forgiving with a wide appreciation for the creative art of food in general... but coffee shouldn't have chunks. The mushrooms that were the highlight of the order tasted stale and felt poorly rehydrated. Considering I shouldn't be chewing my coffee in the first place, that made it hard to choke down. The smoothie tasted like freezer burn and plastic. The cherry flavor in the title was nonexistent. Honestly, how hard is it to run some decent ingredients through a blender? Have we not heard of tart cherry juice? The cashier was indifferent and cold, and there sure wasn't a reason to stick around, but if the product is good, I could ignore all that. It, however, was gross. Sadly, I hope they come out of this funk, they sure didn't seem to lack customers in a town lacking coffee so I'm sure we won't be missed and they certainly leave you feeling that way, but that's our experience in a nutshell.
