"Not far from the Pantheon, this original restaurant arranged over four floors serves the type of fine Chinese cuisine which has graced official banquets in China ever since the time of Chairman Mao. The menu also features some surprisingly modern Asian dishes, making this restaurant a must for fans of Chinese cuisine!" - Michelin Inspector

We chose this restaurant for a group of six people, including guests from China, based on recommendations from the Michelin Guide and some positive reviews on Google Maps. The location was also convenient, being close to our hotel. Now for my impressions. The interior of the restaurant leaves much to be desired—basic design with no particular charm or aesthetic details. But that’s not the most important issue. The real problems start with hygiene. The restroom was in a filthy state, with a strong unpleasant odor, cobwebs in the corners, and soap that was hard to find. It was clear that proper cleaning is not a priority here. As for the kitchen hygiene, we couldn’t check, of course, as we were just guests. Service was perhaps the most shocking part. It’s rare to encounter such open rudeness and dishonesty from staff. We asked for a larger table to comfortably accommodate our group, especially for our Chinese friends, but were denied, supposedly because the area was “reserved.” In reality, the restaurant was mostly empty, with only a few tables occupied by 2–3 people. No one made any effort to ask what we wanted or explain the dishes. The service felt careless and rushed—like they just wanted to get tourists in, serve something basic, and send them off as quickly as possible. I would rate the service a 0 or maybe a 1 out of 10. As for the food—our Chinese friend commented that the only Chinese element was the chopsticks. Everything else was a poor imitation. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Restaurants like this only tarnish the reputation of Chinese cuisine and culture.

Google
Incredible place.. we stumbled in looking for Asian food and realized they needed reservations due to how busy they were. However, rather than tell us nothing was available they found a way to fit us in. Incredible service and amazing food. The photos do not do the presentation justice. Our server explained each element of the food as they source farm to table so to speak. Their interpretations of traditional Chinese and other Asian cuisine are both modern and yet clearly traditional. A fantastic break from the traditional Italian food in the area makes this a must visit when here. The table service and knowledge of the wait staff will make this a repeated destination for us.

Maybe the best Chinese restaurant we’ve had ever! (Outside of China) Didn’t expect to find this in Rome, but the flavours were so authentic and fresh. Absolutely amazing. If all the pasta and pizza is getting to you, please check out this Michelin recommended restaurant near the Pantheon for a bit of Chinese Cuisine!

My family went to this restaurant twice during our stay in Rome. The food experience is so amazing. Excellent quality with very reasonable price. The first day We ordered 5 meals and 2 deserts to share only cost less than 99 euro. The second day cost around 80 euro. And we also tried the lunch bento box only cost around 23 during weekdays. Very authentic Chinese food. China is so big, and Green T carefully selected the most popular and classic Chinese meals with some creative improvements and modern presentation. I don’t like salty food and focus on high quality ingredients, green T meets my expectations! My kids love the sticky rice balls with flowers on it, the sesame filling and aroma is a wonderful match. Thank you for such great experience and memory for my family!

Salmon tatami was just not to our liking. The chicken was GREAT! But not really spicy. I think if you want to enjoy really spicy food there you need to ask for extreme spicy. The dumplings are INCREDIBLE! Would order 2 plates of them next time for sure.

We came Christmas Eve to do something fancy since it’s Michelin reviewed. Compared to the Chinese restaurants in NYC it was okay! The taste was fine, food came out very quickly, and portions didn’t suffice for 4. It was just okay.

Google
The experience was incredible. We had dumplings (which were the best I’ve tried so far), wakame salad, chashu pork, complimentary wasabi crunchy peas (which were a great palate cleanser), then the Beijing duck which came as three courses (1. Skin, which you make your own wrap, 2. Meat, cooked with veggies and mushrooms and 3. Soup, which although we’re not used to having soup as a last dish, it was perfect with it’s freshness and left a pleasurable taste.) Highly recommend to everyone. Also, the service was soo nice, the lady who served us also was very attentive to explain everything and show us the proper way to enjoy everything.

Google
Michelin and for good reason ——The food deserves 6 stars. This is some of the best Chinese food or actually, just, food I’ve ever eaten. Unbelievably good, highly recommend the Duck as well as the black sesame ice cream. The reviews that give one stars are either mistakes or are… ignorant of what good food truly is. Very deserving of its Bib Gourmand.

Yelp
The service and ambience were nice although the food did not meet expectations whatsoever for a Michelin guide restaurant.

Yelp
The food is good, the service was fine, just thought the serving size was a little small. The ambiance is very, very nice.

Yelp
This place has the best Chinese food I have had in my life. My husband and I ran across this cute little location by accident and I was so excited to see it was Michelin rated! Typically, I get sick eating greasy Chinese food but this was far from greasy! We got multiple appetizers, a bottle of wine, and the three course duck entree for an incredible price-I think the total was $110 for the two of us. There was nothing I did not like. Italians are incredibly friendly so I can see why some people can think the servers are rude (they were not Italian) however, I think it is a culture difference that may come across cold and rude but they were just very straightforward and short with us. The servers we had know three languages! I have Asian friends and used to the culture differences so I didn't take anything personally.

Yelp
I thought the food was fantastic. I needed a small break from Italian food, and this place delivered! The service was also amazing. Highly recommend Green T.

Yelp
I'm sure all the bad reviewers had a bad experience, but it's hard to believe anyone got bad food after my experience here with my Shanghainese wife and our daughter. I have lived in China and eaten Chinese food all over the world. This was a special experience. We started with the cold dish platter and the dumpling platter. Both were out of this world. Everything on both plates was first class. The best assortment of dumplings I've eaten since a dumpling banquet more than 30 years ago in Xian. The gong bao ji ding was more like sweet and sour chicken, and not very Chinese, but it tasted great also. We had a nice assortment of mixed vegetables, a good but not great cod fish bolstered by wonderful chopped snow in red. We then ordered the pork belly to top it off, and it was incredible. They cook it 10 hours, so unlike the chewy mess you get at most Chinese restaurants --at least in America--it was so tender and tasty, with a great accompaniment of taro root. We tried two desserts, the banana spring rolls with black sesame ice cream (chocolate was out) and the sesame dumplings. Both were excellent. Our waitress, who was Chinese, was wonde seerful and all her recommendations to my wife were proven out by the quality of the food.

Yelp
After a few days of eating Italian food, my group was sick of eating pasta and pizza with very little difference in between. We stumbled upon Green T on a walk to the Pantheon or the Spanish Steps or whatever. The ramen sign was what drew us and considering it was a Michelin guide restaurant, we figured we'd take our chances. Worst idea ever. Arriving at around 9, there was a good amount of seats open and our party of 4 was taken to what appeared to be a converted outdoor patio room that was cut off from the rest of the diners. Nice to have privacy. We should have hesitated when we heard the waiters speaking Chinese, but we didn't I ordered ramen and for 15 euros, it is a bit steep, especially when it's not actually listed on their menu and they don't warn you ahead of time. While our expectations weren't high, apparently low expectations were still too high for this place. The food was just atrocious. The ramen broth tasted like egg and my hard boiled egg was cold. Not to mention the noodles were spaghetti, which shouldn't be surprising for Italy, but it was all horrible. Why is this place a Michelin Guide restaurant anyway?! The only good thing was the fact that we got two free desserts to share in our party, although it looked like coconut something rather so I wasn't interested. This place was a waste of money and one of many disappointing meals in Rome.

Yelp
I came to this place for lunch because it has a Michelin guide recommendation, with a seeing impaired friend and his assistance dog. The restaurant was almost empty with only two seating guests . We waited for more then 7 minutes until anyone showed up. We asked for a table next to the door so that we would nt disturb any future guests. The staff person was extremely rude, refused service even when we explained that we had a assistance dog. In the meantime an extemely rude customer who became impatient to wait for us, pushed my friend aside almost making him fall. , the staff did not bother whatsoever to intervene and went on to seat him. We have been travelling now for 7 weeks across Italy eating out lunch and dinner every day and never had such a bad experience. Horrible Place !

Yelp
To always start on the good side, the food was amazing. All the dishes ordered were very well presented and delicious. To follow on the not so good and very bad side, one of the dishes ordered was a lobster, amazing by the way, the only problem is, the price in the menu is exhibited as per gram I believe, so, 7,50€ per gram, when i was never told how much the lobster weighted and if read on the menu it's hard to understand how exactly they measure it, when I ordered the lobster the waitress asked, and I quote, "would you like it with the rice or vegetable" which gave, nos only me the impression, that it was included with the dish, when it came I didn't even touched the veggies because the lobster, which I didn't get to finish was enough. When ordering the bill, i was hit in the face with a €45 dish, yes, the lobster, and €8,50 from, wait for it, the veggies. Went to talk to the waiter about it and was very nicely slapped in the face with, wait for it again, €2 discount, can you imagine that ! Waited for a few minutes to speak with the manager who the first thing she did was start yelling at me and after repeatedly explaining the situation I got offered €5 euros discount from the bill. Not having the dish that was deceivingly "ordered " but that insulting discount. Let's say our happiness from the amazing dishes was removed and replaced very fast with a feeling of being ripped off and a bitter taste in the mouth, that deplorable attitude and devious way deserved to be rated at minus 1 star.

Yelp
The owner is quit arrogant. Do not order the soup noodle. It is like instant noodle with tasteless soup. It does not worth the money and does not lift up to my expectation on Chinese food.

Yelp
Awesome food and service. The flavors are a bit low key for USA spice levels (due to the excessive salt use in America ) but ask for the spice condiments. Overall fantastic get away from the Rome regular menus.

Yelp
I was missing some asian food having spent 4 weeks in Italy. The service and ambience here was good however, the food was average. My favorite were the pork dumplings, everything else was average. Also, I am saying this in comparison to the quality of asian food I have had outside of Italy. This may be your best bet for asian food in Rome.

Yelp
Ok food. This place charged us for Servizio (10% of the bill). How is this still a thing in Rome?! I noticed afterwards when I looked at the bill. We will not come back ever and will never recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Originally had reservations for another restaurant, but after a full day of walking we were just too tired and looked for the closest restaurant to duck into for dinner. We were the first couple to enter the restaurant and service was a little cold and unattentive. We ordered the "ramen special" which was not very good...at all. Ordered a couple green teas as well and was horrified that they charged 13 Euros for a pot of green tea!!!! There was also a 4 Euro service charge, which I'm used to seeing a "pan e cuperto" charge for bread, for 4 Euros for..nothing? This place seemed like a complete sham AND the food was crap. Avoid. There are too many other good places to eat in Rome.

Yelp
We were looking for a nice local restaurant for a light dinner. Unfortunately, we encountered the rudest restaurant owner we have ever met during our trip in Europe. She got the order wrong and when we asked for our dumpling, she responded 'you did not tell me which fillings you want so I have no idea you are ordering this dish. Besides, this is a HIGH-End classy restaurant, the local classy people would know what to order'...The food was just ok: spicy soup was too spicy, mixed vegetables was too salty when we specifically asked not to make it too salty. The entire experience was BAD.

Yelp
Very delicious food. Not your traditional US Chinese food but much better. The best curry, fried rice and hot and sour soup. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they didn't really act like they wanted us to eat there and the server was rude at first. We didn't have a reservation and even though we were the only ones in there, they acted like they didn't want to seat us. Our kids are 18,16 and 13 and love Asian food. After we ordered, our service got better. I would not bring small children here as I don't think they would accommodate you. More upscale Chinese. Nonetheless we may go back again as it was truly a wonderful meal.

Yelp
Genuiine Chinese Chef, so the food is good. He was able to give us customized orders. Sitting was in a semi-private room. The wait service was a bit awkward.

Yelp
Excellent chinese restaurant with great food and a good ambience. It tends to be quite expensive, but if you choose one of the 4 set menus you can spend between EUR8-20. Great place for a couple!
