Yelp
I actually spotted the sign for Green Tomato Cafe outside of the window upon completing my workout at Lawndale Christian Fitness Center. And prior to leaving the building itself I spotted it next to the exit and just had to stop in to take a gander at its menu. On top of offering free Wi-Fi, a selection of food and beverages, the cafe is clean and spacious with a number of tables, seats, and a area featuring furniture; giving it that comfortable homely touch for relaxation. Furthermore, along with its spacious dining area, Green Tomato Cafe has a beautiful gated outdoor patio for enjoyment during the warmer season.
During my initial visit, I enjoyed relaxing on its couch while eating my meal, which was a Bacon, Lettuce, & Tomato sandwich w/ Hi-C) and reading my book post finishing my workout at Lawndale Christian Fitness Center. Yes! It is definitely the perfect place for meetings, studying or to grab either breakfast or lunch.
The menu at Green Tomato Cafe consists of your typical cafe selections followed by breakfast, hot cereals, soups & healthy choices of sandwiches & wraps along with a small selection of smoothies and shakes which coincides perfectly post completion of a workout at Lawndale Christian Fitness Center.
As for parking, there is an ample amount suitable for members and guests. The main building, Lawndale Christian Health Center has its own lot, plus if it gets congested because of it being highly used, there is neighborhood and street parking near building site, so no worries. And, if you are one that does not drive, yet familiar with Chicago Transit Authority, the building sits not too far in-between CTA Pulaski & Central Park - Pink Line which makes it an easy commute to-and-from.
