Green Tree

I have had Greentree remove dead or drying trees three times. They are a local, family owned company with very professional service, competitive rates and several certified arborists. The tree workers are very hard working and personable/customer-oriented and do a great job, leaving the site clean and taking care not to damage fences or sheds. They also moved some logs I wanted to use as garden borders to the places I wanted to use them and left nice chips for mulch.

When my neighbor's tree crashed into my yard, Green Tree was able to come right away to give me an estimate for removal, and they are experienced with preparing documentation for insurance companies, which was helpful as I worked through that process. When the time came to do the job, they were fast and thorough and not only cleaned up the sawdust, but worked to refill the trenches created in my lawn by the falling tree.

Ulysses and his crew were amazing! They were in my neighborhood already and kindly approached me when they noticed I was looking at their truck. He provided a detailed quote. On the day of the service he showed me another area of concern. His quote was less than another and the customer service was exceptional. I would use them again in an instance.

Had a very good experience with Green Tree recently. Dan came out and gave me an estimate on removing two trees. He's friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I had already received 3 other estimates and Green Tree's was easily the best. Dan was good about communicating and replying to my texts or calls. They came to do the work on the agreed date and are very well equipped with a bucket truck and chipper. Plus enough man power to handle the work. Their guys were skilled and courteous. They left the work area very clean. Would definitely recommend and I know I'll be calling them again myself.

Green Tree was contracted by the County to remove a large, unsafe, dead tree from park property. That it stood on a disc golf course wasn't a priority of the contract. Daniel and his crew went above and beyond any reasonable expectations to help us keep the course open, safe, and fun. I can't thank you enough. The work was done quickly and professionally, and our disc golf specific special requests were all met. I recommend Green Tree 100%.

Dan and the guys at US Green Tree were amazing!!! Not only the quality of work performed but the promptness in their professionalism in their line of work! These guys were here same day to give my US (Retired Vietnam Vet) Army, father a quote for a fallen limb that squished our two of his vehicles! They had it moved within minutes and like it never happened! I thanked them for their incredible work and they thanked my father for his service in the kindest way! To you guys, I really appreciate you more than you know!!!

The entire team was professional, thorough, charged fair prices, and removed our fallen tree + checked our other trees for damage quickly and efficiently. Easy to communicate and schedule. Would highly recommend!

It's not an exaggeration to say that Greentree saved my house. Two tangled trees were dangerously hovering over my son's bedroom. The pros at Greentree worked through the night to get them down. They've come back again to work on other trees in my yard. Always professional and a good price for quality work. Highest recommendation.

Removed tree in our backyard. Difficult requiring crane over the house, large tree, etc. terrific job. On budget. Obviously done with safety for me, my husband, them, and my house. They did another job across the street. Looked like the same quality service.

John and his crew removed three trees on my property in Falls Church. John explained exactly what they would do and how they would do it. Communication was excellent. One as a 30-foot dead trunk that was tricky because it was cracked about halfway up. John has the correct equipment and dropped the tree safely without any damage to my fence or nearby trees. They then took down an 80 foot fir tree and a 40 foot holly up against my house. Again, the trees were taken down safely and with no damage to my property. The crew cleaned up everything, did not leave ruts in my yard, and were quick and polite. I had received several quotes, and Greetree's quote was VERY reasonable. I highly recommend them, and I will be using them again for some maples on the side and behind my home,

They responded very quickly with calm and expertise after wind blew 200 yr oak on our home. Price I felt was very fair despite complexity of removal. They tarped and photographed the damage. Highly recommend.

Great product and service from the moment they answered the call to the delivery of our firewood. Professional and courteous service! Sure beats other delivery services we have had in the past!

Eeks is right. No written estimate, inactive Facebook page, disconnected 800# should have been sufficient warning that the company is no longer reputable. But they could do the work quickly and did a decent job last year, so I agreed. Team arrived with no English speaking foreman. They did part of the job in about 30 minutes, then proceeded to hang out on my front lawn to enjoy their lunches in the sunshine. Still no foreman, and the team left without finishing the job. Days later finally got a callback from the estimator, who yelled at me from the beginning of the call that "remove the tree" is commonly misunderstood by his company as "cut part down and leave the rest". Listened to very unprofessional ranting and foaming at the mouth for 5 minutes before blocking his number and calling the front office. The only response by the front office was to resend the invoice and request payment in full, for a job not completed and unprofessional behavior all around.

A team from GreenTree was contracted by Arlington County to come out to remove a very large, very old - and dead - tree on county property that also had limbs stretching over our property. After a quick conversation with the team this morning (where they asked us to move a few things on our deck as a precaution), they got to work quickly. I'm completely amazed at how efficiently and carefully they removed the tree, around power lines, around our fence, and over our roof and deck - even moving a small table on our deck when it was clear to them the table could be at risk. Their cleanup was fantastic as well.

The initial call to Greentree went well, and I was able to set up an appointment for an estimate on a Wednesday Afternoon. That is the only reason they are not 1 star. By 3:30 pm the day of the appointment, they had not shown or called with an ETA for the estimator. I tried calling the company to get that information, but the call went straight to voicemail both times. (once around 3:30, and then again at 4:00.) Basically, they were a no show/no call, and I wasted an afternoon of vacation time from work waiting for them. No show/No call = No Business from me.

I called Greentree not knowing what to do about a tree I have in my front yard. I explained my situation and they recommend me getting an arborist. Their arborist came out in less then 48 hours. He was very helpful and gave me some recommendations and now my tree is already thriving.

We had Greentree come out to remove a diseased and rotted beech tree (5' diameter) which was directly over the septic tanks. This tree as well as several dying 100-120' tall pine trees were removed with great care and precision. Their crew was very careful and it was evident that they were very experience at their profession (and the crew has been with Greentree for many years). After downing the trees, they did an excellent job of clean up. We have used some of the "big names" in the tree business in the past and were jerked around on what was estimated compared to what work was actually done. We did not have that experience with Greentree- they over-performed!! We will definitely be using them for future work, and have highly recommend them to our friends.

Greentree gives horrible service! I do not recommend this company for any work. I had a tree trimmed before and it was a horrible job. The manager never had it corrected. I contacted the company to have the same job done and mentioned that I had complained before about the service. The price jumped almost 75%. The explanation was that prices increases, but inflation does not justify that much of an extra expense for tree trimming. Greentree's prices are inflated, the work is unprofessional, and the employees have nasty attitudes.

I have not personally used this service, however I was very impressed by Greentree's cleanup effort after the June 29 Derecho that knocked down tons of trees in the Arlington area. Most of Arlington lost power and while driving around, I kept thinking/hoping that the trucks seen along the roadside were Dominion Power trucks. No such luck. Instead, Greentree trucks became the face of the cleanup effort. I was surprised they had so many trucks available and they were really quick about gettiing debris out of the road. I assume they were contracted by Arlington county to handle the cleanup. They definitely left a positive impression. Kudos!

Average at best. Quoted me an eight hour special for $3,000. Showed up on a day I was not home after I told them I wanted to be there when the work was completed. Before they started I specifically asked what happens if they do not get done what they told me they could. I was assured everything would be completed. When I arrived home, I was completely disappointed because they only removed half of the trees we discussed when they did the quote. They like to brag about all the work they do for the government however if you are a homeowner I would shop around. I need more trees removed and I will not be calling Greentree.

We hired Green Tree to remove dead limbs from our 200 year old Oak Tree. Right from the start this company was incredibly professional. When we scheduled the appointment for an estimate, Ryan arrived on time and was very knowledgable, he took the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted done. I received 3 estimates from various companies, but chose GT because of their competitive prices and honesty. When the crew of 6 arrived, they were very professional, and courteous throughout the entire job. When the job was completed, my yard and deck looked better than when they arrived, just as Ryan had promised. Highly recommend this company!

Review for Greentree in Lothian, MD 5 stars all the way! We were away, out of town, when our neighbor called to say a big part of our old and very large tree had come down after a storm...and caused damage to their house and took down power lines. The rest of the tree was in danger of coming down too! They had been unable to find a company that would come fast, but when we learned about the problem we called Greentree, a company we had used before and were very happy with. Greentree was fantastic. They were exceptionally supportive and communicative. Ryan, the "field general," came out the same day and called with an estimate. They were able to get to work right away and prevented any more damage from occurring. They took down the whole tree (a very large job!!) within a couple of days, ground out the stump and cleaned up in an exemplary fashion in a very short time. Nicole in the office, Ryan, and all the workers were wonderful and so responsive. The price was very reasonable, and we are happy to give them the highest recommendation along with our great appreciation.

Our experience with Jody and his Greentree crew couldn't have been more pleasant. His crew are by far the hardest working and most efficient crew out there. We had a massive Oak tree right next to our house that lightning struck. A gigantic limb was hovering over our house and was slowly splitting from the main trunk putting our house in danger of being crushed. Jody came out the same day I called and personally assessed the damage to the tree and the severity of the situation. The very next morning, Jody and his crew were at our house and were steady working all day. Before Jody and his crew called it a day, they made sure the limb that was endanger of falling through our house was cut back so it would no longer an issue. All told it took 3 days to remove the massive oak, and after having the tree removed, we wouldn't of had any other company take it down. Jody and his Greentree crew are a class act. I would recommend them to anyone.
