EXCEPTIONAL FOOD! They put a lot of effort into crafting excellent delicious meals. Every single member of our party thought their dish was unique and extremely flavorful. This is a pricier place but is 10000% worth the extra money (and I say this as someone that’s pretty stingy and skeptical). Every time I come in the food is consistently good. Of course their pizzas are good, really love their pasta dishes and even the desserts are phenomenal. Great date night spot or for any other memorable evenings to gather. Even with it being Thanksgiving day and how hectic everything was, servers and bussers provided service that was above and beyond. Reservation recommended

Not from this area. I’ve been this location 3 times, each time ordered something different. The first time I ordered the Hawaiian pizza. Did not like it at all. Ham pieces too big and the pizza had salt. Yesterday was the first time ordering their salmon. Salmon was good. The rice lack taste, it needed more seasoning. However, rice consistency was good, it wasn’t sticky. Ordered the beef soup which was surprisingly good. Drinks are excellent. Atmosphere was good, it was loud but you can still talk. Service was great. Overall, great place, great food except the pizza.

Everything was fantastic. And I don't say that, because there's always room for improvement. The Pizza was fantastic. The crust was crispy yet soft and not doughy. My wife and I chose to sit at the bar and it was a gorgeous bar with real bartenders who had skills. Everything's made in-house. To the shrimp appetizer which is delicious. And right down to the tasty pasta dish we had with tortellini. If we ever returned to Rockford, we are definitely stopping here for a Pizza and beer for sure.

We had a Retirement Dinner here last night and there was not one empty plate in sight! Started with the Bruchetta and Duck Dates...wow. A huge miss if you don't at least try one. While tough to pick a favorite, I think the Bruchetta was the winner. Fresh, crisp vegetables and the right amount of char on the bread. As for entrees, Scallops, Salmon, Filet Mignon, 22oz Bone-In Ribeye, and the 16oz Bone-In Buffalo were all well-enjoyed. While I very much enjoyed the Filet Mignon, I slash able to sneak a bite of the Buffalo, and there is the winner! Perfectly seared and lean...outstanding. Took home the Key Lime Pie to share at home, and so glad I did. Amazing and attentive service, great atmosphere, and cocktails to enjoy well-prepared. Looking forward to visiting again when in town. We had a wonderful time. Food was delicious. Started off with the Brussel sprout appetizer. Fantastic! Then we had the steak and wild mushroom pizza with Alfredo sauce and shared a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Very tasty. Creme brulee for dessert which was also delicious. I think my favorite thing was my drink that our server Megan suggested. It was a Sidecar served in a martini glass. Oh my goodness!!! My new favorite! My husbands' old fashioned was top-notch as well. Megan was an excellent server. It's not very often that my husband comments that he wants to go back to a restaurant but he mentioned it several times already so there's proof right there of how good this place was. Ha ha. We will definitely be back!!!

First time patron & it did not disappoint!!! Megan was a wonderful server & helped each of us decide which dish best met our preferences. The food was delicious, the desserts were decadent & the mixologist made a wonderful salted caramel martini! Definitely recommend!!

We had a wonderful experience here! The food was excellent — the ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the pizza was delicious. The bacon wrapped shrimp was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Don’t skip dessert — the creme brulee was absolutely worth every calorie. We’ll definitely be back!

Our food was quite tasty and arrived very quickly, even though the restaurant was quite full (Friday evening, April 18). Our server, Jamie, was exceptional. She was very professional and knowledgeable, with a warm and inviting personality, and a great sense of humor. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

Amazing food. We enjoyed our food, drinks, and dessert!! I tried the cucumber mango refresher drink. So good! Every time we go we get the pistachio macarons!

Ambiance? What ambiance? Based on the outside I wouldn't have even gone in but I was someone's guest so had no choice. The inside wasn't much better. Everything's outdated, old and worn. I sent back my rubbery, disgusting fish. I dine out regularly in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. This place has Chicago prices but is no match for its fine-dining.

Last night we had the BEST anniversary dinner with delicious food, a quiet table and service that was extraordinary! The staff went over and beyond to make our evening special. I would highly recommend Greenfire and ask for Meagan!

Went here with my sister and one of her friends before playing pickleball. The food was decent. I wasn't really hungry during that time, but I did order a steak since I was staying in a meat free house during that time. Our server was amazing, she was super quirky, friendly, and a little bit sassy!

Excellent service, food and atmosphere! The filet is off the charts! Enjoyed it so much, I was in here every night for dinner the entire week I was working nearby.

I've lived in Rockford few 3 months now and Greenfire is my go to spot for everything. Friends/family come into town we stop in, after work drink, etc. Food is always great, specifically the pizzas (pesto or the mushroom are a must). The espresso martini or any of their martinis are to die for. Service is always great, no waits! Love the vibe of Greenfire and it's always busy which tells you how great it is. Keep doing what you're doing!

Joined some friends here for dinner last night, and I'm so glad I did. I had a Caiparinha, which you never see on menus around here, and the scallops, which I loved. Everything was fresh, properly cooked, and tasty. Our server was pleasant and offered my friend some menu suggestions. We all ordered dessert- how could you not with their bakery selection? The berry tartlet was excellent. The cocktail menu is extensive, the wines by the glass menu is adequate but not nearly as varied. My only quibble is that my stall in the women's restroom was out of toilet paper. Restrooms should be refreshed more frequently on a busy Friday night.

This used to be such a great place for a good meal. Sad to find the service and quality has gone down since our last visit. Apps were great but 2 of our 4 meals were way over cooked and extremely over salted. The citrus rice with my salmon had a very odd flavor, I used to love it! None of us could identify the flavor but it was not good. My husband had the white fish fish. it was way over cooked and extremely dry. Our server seemed annoyed she was working and kept messing with her smart watch. We sat with our plates at our table well after we were done and the Birthday celebration cake that I not only noted on my reservation, reminded at the check in and again to our server, never arrived. Just a very overall disappointing experience for a $400 meal (no alcohol).

Food: pretty good. Had the salmon and mahi mahi. Both well made and the modifications we asked for were done. Service: prompt, professional but not friendly. That's a good thing for me. Ambience: generic. Price: I feel it was over-priced.

Greenfire exceeded our expectations! We started with a smoky Manhattan and a blueberry mojito. Then grilled oysters Rockefeller, a seafood crepe, and a mighty sized lamb shank. Finally, a large slice of carrot cake. Service was good. After the family dinner crowd cleared it got relatively peaceful. We would definitely return.

Food was great, but management is AWFUL! We had a terrible experience with the manager Mike on 4/5/25. We had completed our meal and dessert and asked for a box for half of our chocolate cake to take home. She brought us a box and in the box it had another piece of chocolate cake. The piece in the box was substantially smaller than the one we ordered and thought she was just being nice and giving it to us to take home, so I put our other half eaten piece in that box. When I got my bill I noticed that we had been charged for the extra piece and informed our server that I think there was misunderstanding and offered to split the cost. She went to talk to her manager Mike and Mike indicated that they would not do this. The server brought another box and asked us to take our piece out and put it in the new box. Because our table had been completed cleared I had to scoop the chocolate cake out with my hand and head to the bathroom to wash the chocolate sauce off. I can't believe this happened and can't believe how utterly rude this was. ABSOLUTELY RODICULOUS!

I was pleasantly surprised by GreenFire. We came here with a group before a show, and everyone had a wonderful food experience! They have a large menu, and we all struggled to narrow it down to one thing to order. I started with the smoky margarita, which was a bit lackluster but not bad. The mezcal overpowered any of the other ingredients so it tasted smoky but bland. I still drank it all. We split the Brussels as a table, and they were very good. They were shaved very nicely, and cooked to perfection. However, the balsamic was scarce and hardly integrated into the dish so it came off tasting like plain Brussels sprouts. Three in our group ordered various pizzas (all reported they were very tasty, and leftovers were taken home). One ordered the chicken crepe and also reported deliciousness. I ordered the GreenFire veggie burger and it was fantastic. The house potatoes that came with it were wonderfully cooked so that they were soft but not mushy. Wonderful flavor -- I did not add a single thing to them but consumed them all with glee. I added goat cheese to the burger (I figured there'd be an extra charge, but considering there was, it was a lame dribble of goat cheese). I had to physically separate my sparse avocado slices to spread them around the patty, but oh well. They make their own patties, and they were incredibly tasty. They squished very easily which made the burger hard to eat. I mostly was eating the squished out patty around the bun and didn't get to experience too much of the other items inside the burger. I don't know that there's a great solution to this common veggie burger problem, but even the plain patty was lovely to eat. I took my leftover (center) of my burger home for leftovers, and the burger was equally lovely with all its listed ingredients/condiments. Despite any grumbling about its consumption logistics, I would totally order it again and recommend it to diners! Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal and very patient with all of our questions. She constantly was checking in on us and made sure we never were waiting for very long.

After mentioning i was dining with my 90+ mother, who was hard of hearing, the hostess sat us in a quiet booth. Perfect for us. The sausage and pepperoni pizza was large for one person. But, it was so good my husband ate all of his and some of my mother's! The chicken sandwich was incredible. Very flavorful. The brioche bun was fresh. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food we were served. We will return.

Great service. Wonderful food. Deserts are off the hook. Can do without the guy singing. It's loud enough already. Try to plan when he is not there. Waitress said every other Saturday. Thanks for the great service and awesome food.

Awesome food! Great ambiance! Outstanding bartenders! Once, I came in for a pickup order and waited nearly 25-30 minutes just to give payment before the hostess had to check me out herself. Sometimes the servers and other staff do not meet the standard set by the restaurant. **Story**: My order was ready and waiting on the countertop. The hostess directed me back to pick and pay. There was a young lady working the register. I said, "Hello, I'm here for a pick-up. I believe it's this bag right here." She responded, "Yes, I am doing something right now, you'll have to wait." It seemed she was not doing anything that would prevent her taking payment, but I observed the situation and realized she appeared to be standing there behind the dessert glass waiting. I stood there for about 20 minutes as a family with many small children that were circling around, took turns with each child individually having a chance to look at different desserts in the glass case and contemplate which dessert they may or may not like. This time frame standing there for 20 minutes is within 1 or 2 minutes of being exact. After waiting for about 20 minutes, as I stood directly in front of the register, next to my bag of food waiting to pay, I asked, "Excuse me miss, I realize they are picking out desserts but they don't seem to know what they would like to get, perhaps you could simply run my card while they continue to browse the selection? I have someone waiting for me in the car." The young lady looked at me, gave me an annoyed facial expression and did not even respond. Simply ignored me and continued to stand there essentially doing nothing as the children looked and at options. I walked towards the kitchen and asked if someone could please ring me up for a TO GO ORDER. A lady responded, "They can ring you up right here." I replied, "She seems to be a little busy, perhapse you could ring me up?" She said, "No, I don't think she's doing anything. She can ring you up right now." I responded, "She not willing to help me." She walked over to the young lady who was working the register, and the lady working the register actually stopped her from allowing me to pay. I could hear her speaking very softly saying, "No, I am busy. He is going to wait until I want to do it." When I hear this I asked, "Why is she refusing to help me?" Neither of the ladies respond and the one from the kitchen walks away. Trying to remain patient, I waited another minute or 2 when the hostess saw me standing there and said, "Hey, why are you still waiting here? They have had your food waiting. You just checkout right here." The hostess was obviously a little confused how I could possibly still be there with the food being in the bag on the counter 1 foot in front of me and the lady working the register standing their completely available to take payment. I said, "She is refusing to help me." The lady working the register sees and hears all of this as she is standing there and she softly says, "No." and makes a couple noises with her throat, "Ummm... Mmmmeee" as she seems to slightly clam-up avoiding eye contact and standing still with her hands grasped in front of her. The hostess just automatically walks back around the counter, takes payment and I walk out with our dinner after waiting about 25-30 minutes for someone who was clearly able to take payment, to actually perform the task of taking payment. I do not believe this person to have had any type of serious cognitive disability, but it's possible she struggles with autism or a mild cognitive disability and this simply wasn't the appropriate work assignment for her.

Everything was ok, except the Bill, it was way too high We started with Oysters Rockefeller, 6 oysters that hardly had any sauce in the shell with them. So they def weren't worth the $24 They brought out a nice loaf of bread, always a + I had seafood pasta, it was below avg. the sauce was meh & the seafood was scarce $34 Wife had seafood crepe- I didn't like it, she said it was decent One son had a pizza that was the size of a tombstone (he said it tasted a little better then a frozen pizza) $24 Other son had the bison burger & said it was ok. Bill was $160 with lemonades So with tip it, was just under $200 for 4 dinners & an app

Best waitstaff, best food, best bartenders. All around 12/10 experience every time I step foot in Greenfire. It's my go-to for any important events/days we have as a friend group and family. Could not recommend enough.

I have been here more times than I can count and I am still never disappointed. I believe they have the best filet mignon in town. The mahi mahi was surprisingly good. The oysters Rockefeller=get them! Dessert winner is STILL the chocolate ecstasy. I recently tried the flourless chocolate cake which seemed pretty thick but it was surprisingly so good, it reminded me of a chocolate cheesecake. Great food, drinks, service. My favorite local spot hands down.

After being a long time customer and finding Greenfire as my wife's and my absolute favorite restaurant in Northern Illinois, I decided I had to write a review and let others know about this amazing venue. Any time anyone asks our opinions regarding eating places in the area this is first on our list. Now, for our favorites: the Caesar salad with salmon as the protein is amazing! We've tried to duplicate the salmon at home with no luck. The dressing on the salad is the absolute best! It needs to be bottled for sale! The confidence of knowing the food quality will always keep us returning! Many thanks to Shindet and his staff for the amazing experience each time we visit!

Everything has always been incredible at Greenfire. We dine there casually and also have many business functions internally as well as catered. Thank you Greenfire for giving the Rockford region another reason to be proud.

Best restaurant in a 30 mile radius. Had the rack of lamb and it's the best meal i've ever had. Pricy but worth every dime. The vibes are amazing with great music playing and cool energy. Our waitress, Claire was a sweetheart and very funny.

We sat in the bar area, which was a great atmosphere! We ordered an assortment of appetizers and everything was fabulous! Highly recommend!

Seafood crepes are AMAZING!!! Service excellent. Steaks are superb!!! Excellent dessert made fresh, and unique and delicious cocktails. Pizzas are so amazing and all food is cooked in the wood fired oven. No grills or stoves whatsoever!!! It's truly a unique environment with a delicious menu! This is by far the best restaurant in Rockford. Been here many times and it never disappoints!

Usually every time we drive past this place, it is packed! ...however we tried and realized that they were able to sit us right away. it is absolutely beautiful in greenfire and the service was fantastic. Our waitress, Jaime helped us pick out some AMAZING pizzas, the steak mushroom spinach pizza and the rosemary & sausage pizza (we added marinara). Food was absolutely flavorful and we had a lot left over. Their desserts were to die for.... I cannot wait to try more stuff in the future. Definitely a fun place!

We have been to GreenFire several times Each time the waitresses have been stellar and food has been deliciou. Also each time when coming from the bathroom I have heard loud yelling from the owner to a waitress. I could not believe the words coming out of his mouth to his employee! i can no longer support this restaurant given the toxic work environment in this restaurant. I'll be spending my money elsewhere. Boycott this restaurant!

It truly baffles me that I have yet to write a review for Greenfire. This is one of our go to places in Rockford. It's a little bit on the pricier side, but the the thing you will always get with Greenfire is a fantastic meal and excellent service. Some of our absolute menu favorites are the filet minion and the bacon chicken tortellini pasta for my guy, for me the best things are the salmon, the seafood marinara, and the New York strip. They just expanded their menu again so very excited to try a few new items like the halibut, the lamb burger, and the bison steak. Their salads and their appetizers are also definitely worth a try; they even do fresh and cooked oysters! We are very rarely disappointed by anything when we come here. Also, make sure you save room for dessert! We heavily recommend the blackberry lemon cake, the canoli cake, and when in season, the pecan pie. It's like nothing you've had before and it's and is mouth watering. Definitely a place we like to bring people when they're coming in from out of town, and it's always on the list of places we recommend when people ask what's good to eat in Rockford. We never leave dissatisfied. Keep doing what you do Greenfire.

Great ambiance, great service, Outstanding food, drink wasn't the best tasting but can't wait to go back. The pizza is always phenomenal, cooked perfect and fast to the table. Seafood marinara had seafood in every bite. The oysters were cold and fresh with a thick zesty cocktail sauce.

We sat at the bar. The drinks and ambience were nice. The food is overpriced and overrated. I had the seafood crepe. It was fine. Not bad, but not great. My husband's bolognese was not good at all. He described it as compared to Chef Boyardee.

Celebrating another anniversary here, as we've done in years past. Delicious experience! Our server, Megan, went above and beyond to help this meal be even better than expected. We had a wonderful time. The mood and ambiance was romantic. Thank you, Greenfire team!

Best restaurant in rockford without a doubt, you wont regret coming too greenfire, amazing food, amazing service, overall lighting and atmosphere is very cozy, best restaurant hands down, PS ( Franchescos, and salt) are mid stick too greenfire

Don't know why parking lot is so packed. Food is subpar at best. Pizza is not made fresh, definitely frozen with ingredients thrown on top when ordered. Overrated imo. Do yourself a favor and get dominoes for half the cost, Dominoes have better pizza lol
