Greenhearts Family Farm CSA

This CSA box is amazing! Everything is fresh and user friendly. The fruit and vegetables we receive are easily incorporated into our regular meal rotation. Deliveries are reliable. We get a list of produce in the box a couple days before delivery so that we can meal plan. I love the special farm days where we can visit the farm and the kids can pick as much produce as they want (usually with no extra cost). Farmer Paul and his team really love what they do and love doing it!

I have been receiving a box every other week for years. I am still excited to open the box and see what seasonal veggies and fruits are in it - always fresh, always delicious. If I’m going to be out of town, I either donate my box to a local charity or reschedule - easy peasy.

Love this farm box so much! Started it during those darkest of Covid times and have kept our box going since. The fruit is always candy sweet and juicy. The box does have a lot of veggie in it, but we could all probably eat more veggies right? It forces me to get creative and also challenges the kids to try something new. The veggies are always crisp and fresh. On weeks when we are out of town we usually just gift the box to one of our neighbors instead of cancelling/pausing. The recipient is always thrilled to unbox the goodies inside!

Unbelievable value!!!! You get a lot of wonderful varied fruits and vegetables for just 40 bucks. Delivered to your door! You can’t beat it. And don’t get me started on the free U. pack days at the farm. We came home with 70+ pounds of tomatoes and strawberries,made our own jam and spaghetti sauce.!! I have to address the low 2 star review on here. suspending delivery of boxes has never been a problem for me and Emails are promptly responded to. this week’s shipment we got five peaches, a pound of strawberries and a melon. There’s a big amount of fruit. Our family of four is hard-pressed to finish all of the box each week. I cannot recommend this more highly.

Greenhearts starts as your CSA and becomes your extended family. We look forward to our box every week, including the note that Farmer Paul always writes. We've been out to the farm for member U-Pick days and gotten to meet some of the staff, and every experience has been warm, personal, real. And, telling my son a fruit or vegetable "comes from the farm" ensures that he tries a new flavor or texture. Thank you, Greenhearts, for nourishing us!

Fantastic fruits and veggies, delivered right to your door. My daughter has grown up on their food. Her absolute favorite? The carrots. She’s been eating them since she was 6 months old, and they’re still on her plate every week. Truly the best carrots ever! And the U-Pick? A magical spot for kids to explore, play, and fall in love with the outdoors.

Having been a customer for over 10 years now, I must apologize to the Greenhearts team for not writing one here! But here I am and I'm here to talk about the abundance of wonderful produce that Farmer Paul & the Greenhearts team faithfully delivers to my doorstep without fail. The box that my family gets is bursting with the best, seasonal, organic produce that one can find (but only if you had the knowledge and mindset of the dedicated folks at Greenhearts). Tons of fruit, bushels of vegetables, you really won't find a better box at a better price that's delivered to you. Having been a subscriber for over 10 years, I have NEVER gotten a box where there was a singular fruit (unless it was a cantaloupe). The only time that my family ever found a box 'lacking' in fruit is because I ate the blueberries before they made it to the fridge. Thank you Thank you Thank you to the entire Greenhearts Family for feeding myself and my family all these years and long into the future. p.s. The notes from Farmer Paul are just as good as those blueberries.

I never write reviews, but Greenhearts is out of this world. We have been receiving the CSA boxes for about a year and it is always high quality and delicious. There is no doubt that we eat better because of this box. I feel so grateful to Farmer Paul and the folks who work hard at Greenhearts to provide us with such incredible produce. We love this farm!! In the summer they offer you pick for different vegetables depending on what is growing on Saturday mornings. I went probably five times, where you can get one of their CSA boxes for 30 dollars and then pick strawberries, tomatoes, green beans, sunflowers, wild flowers. The best way to stay updated is through Facebook events. Thanks Farmer Paul! Can't wait to visit once the weather is warmer!

Always the freshest organic local produce in every CSA box, never had any piece of fruit or vegetable that wasn't perfect. We look forward to our biweekly box (often 2!). Farmer Paul and team are part of our family now!

Getting fresh produce delivered is a dream. Not only does my family eat well but so do our chickens! I really feel that same rush of excitement when the box arrives, as if it's Christmas morning. I love getting surprise flowers or something new I've never tried. Each box comes with a letter and description of the items in the box. It's like a care package from Mom! I highly recommend!

I ordered a CSA box on the airplane last night and box arrived today! Beautiful produce and can't wait to dig in. Tonight, I ate a delicious salad with the red leaf lettuce and I'll try a new recipe with the sunchokes tomorrow. The box included gorgeous shiitake mushrooms and the most fragrant mandarins I've had in a very long while. Considering it's all organic and so much fun to open and explore, I'm thrilled at what an amazing value this is.

I've been a subscriber with Green Hearts for a year now, every other week deliveries....I also add on delicious eggs to my deliveries.... Their veggies are the tastiest, freshest, most colorful ever. They're the way veggies should be, a little perfectly imperfect, with a hint of dirt....like they were just picked. And the customer service, perfectly perfect...I highly recommend Greenhearts!!!

We have been CSA members for a little over a year and Wednesdays are our favorite days because we get our veggies! Our little family has grown since we first became members and it's been wonderful to teach our son about how his fruits and veggies get to our doorstep. We love the u-picks and can't wait to take him this year to pick his own peas and strawberries. Can't recommend this CSA enough, we truly feel like part of a family!

So so so fresh, amazing quality in addition to growing from the green hearts Family Farm also sources from pinnacle, Coke, and a bunch of other Santa Cruz County favorites... Would go as far to say the best farm box I've ever tasted.... Thank you thank you thank you and good luck with your farm.

We were visiting Half Moon Bay and discovered this organic community farm CSA by accident. We decided to try a single box and got quite a surprise. Greenhearts Family Farm somehow embodies everything that I've ever believed about community!: When we help each other succeed, we all benefit. Farmer Paul and Aurora show that the growing of delicious, healthy, organic food is a family and community effort. The fruits and vegetables in the box were local, fresh, and fit with the seasons. The pricing is good. What was really special was the note inside the box describing the happenings on the farm! I will do everything I can to support Greenhearts. This is instead of turning my dollars over to corporate interests who don't give a rats a$$ about my health, or the sustainability of their practices on the land.

Farmer Paul and his family are all amazing. Specially his dad who was super sweet letting me take all the pictures and all the flowers I wanted when I went last week. I follow them on Facebook from a visit I did some years back for a photo shoot about 'pick you own flowers'. The photos turned out amazing and I wanted to repeat the experience this time even though I was not accompanied with the amazing photographer but just taking selfies. There was a promo for $20 you get one box of veggies plus all the flowers you can pick (mostly sunflowers, gerberas, dahlias..). The day was very sunny which is always a plus in often foggy Half Moon bay. Well, I guess I was in my lucky day but Paul's dad told me I could choose all the veggies I wanted from a table (on top of my box and for free!). What a deal and of course I gave some to a couple of neighbors that are nice to me (is all about giving, right?). I also like that in the box there is explanation of what is inside and have a sense of humor in the writing style that I really appreciate!

We are relatively new to Green Hearts and adore this CSA. We've had CSAs in the past where we received the same items time after time, and it got old. We really appreciate the variety, as well as the obvious love and care that goes into this work. Already looking forward to our next order!

I have been getting the Greenhearts produce box for a couple years now over in Oakland and have been so happy with it. I have tried a few different produce boxes and this one has by far been the absolute best experience. The produce has always been top quality - fresh, abundant, and totally delicious. One thing I especially love is how often it will include leafy greens and the variety - lettuce, kale, chard, spinach, etc. Greens are one of the healthiest veggies and one of the things I was often running to the grocery store to pick up fresh. Having them delivered each week is AMAZING! And means I always have some veggie I can grab. In previous boxes it would often feel like I would end up with a box of 25 zucchini and an eggplant or something. This box always surprises me with the variety. And the carrots are the BEST ever. It is like a whole different species. Personally I really appreciate the balance of fruit and veggies in the box but if you wanted a box that was mostly fruit then you might want a different option or get a fruit CsA as well. It definitely has delicious fruit included (I had the best mandarin yesterday!) but it might not be enough for some folks. Personally that is one reason I love it. Now aside from the produce itself the people seem wonderful. I still haven't made it out to one of their open house days, but every interaction I have had has been wonderful. And it seems like a really kind and ethically run community business. Highly recommend!

Farmer Paul and his family are super helpful. We have visited this farm a couple of times in the past and each time we felt very welcomed. We had visited this farm for you pick tomatoes and you pick wild flowers in the past. The location of this farm is very convenient. A visit to this farm to get some fresh vegetables is an excellent family outing and a family favorite of ours.

There were so many options for local farm boxes and IAm so glad I went with this one! I paid $41 for the one time box and they did not disappoint. There is so much food, I plan on getting these ever other week. When checking out make sure to put your name, phone number, and address in the comment box. During the week you'll get an email about what the box contains as well as an option to add on extra items such as apple juice, eggs, ect.

Love, love, love their produce! Great selection and quality. I also love the quantity: not too much and not too little. I end up using everything, nothing goes to waist. Highly recommend.

Wow! So impressed with my CSA box! I received a gift certificate for 1 fruit + veggie box and received the delivery today! The day before the delivery, I received an e-mail giving me a heads up that my delivery is arriving this week, and what items to expect inside. This is amazing so I have an idea of what to expect, and not have to overbuy things at the store! I even received a text message once my order was delivered. Everything in the box was so fresh and beautiful, like it came straight from the farm! Highly recommend.

Great fruit and veggie box at a even better price. The value of the contents matches the quality. A true family business and you're likely to run into them if you pick up a box on of the Saturday self pick.

I am so happy to get this box each week! The produce is fantastic, and the variety is amazing. I've gotten boxes from other organizations in the past where we were stuck with pounds of radishes week after week. I never feel this way with my greenhearts box. It also comes with a note each week that gives you ideas about what to do with the produce in that week's box. And the whole family enjoys reading the well-written, funny, heartwarming note. Farmer Paul and his family work so hard to run a business that is sustainable, ethical, organic, and community based, and it feels great to support them in this endeavor I highly recommend the greenhearts box!!
