The restaurant is spectacular, the decoration, etc. I wish I could say the same about the food. Is over price and lack of flavor. Really expensive for what you get. I'm not the guy who complains about the food. But believe me I was very upset, cause the food really did not worth it. I ordered the wagyu meatballs and I ordered rare, I received overcook and without flavor. The calamari was not crispy at all. And the sauce with lack of flavor I ordered sushi (dragon roll) was good, so I ordered double (i wanted to order something else but I was so disappointed that I prefer order the only thing that I liked) The shrimp, super salty I ate everything cause I was starving. I ordered also a French fries, French fries!!!! What could go wrong with a French fries... well the French fries were cold!!!! The only good thing was the edamame. Also I ordered a virgin mojito, was super acid. I felt i was drinking a shot of pure lime juice. Also they add the 10% "fee" as soon as you sit. And plus %20 service charge (tip) Is not the price and is not the fees, I'm upset cause the food was really bad. Sorry guys, I'm still upset.

If you are in the DMV and want top notch service, food and just an overall wonderful experience please visit Greenhouse Bistro!! I recently hosted an event there and Nomi Chaudhry made sure all of my guests were taken care off. Great place, ample parking and some of best drinks in town.

Pros: - Has a club-like feeling if that’s your scene - Live music was great - More of a mature/less sloppy crowd Cons: - Service is pretty bad & drinks/food are overpriced/mediocre - The security line to get in gets ridiculously long - The music is way too loud—definitely recommend bringing ear plugs if you don’t like having your ears ring for a week - Parking is a nightmare the later you arrive - The hookah smell is overpowering and will make you feel super lightheaded

Oh was this an experience, and I wish I could say that in a good way! First I was stopped at the door and told that “hats are not allowed” after explaining that I was wearing a hat for religious reasons, that was allowed and the other gentlemen mentioned “just say it’s a religious reason” (not that I was ever asked about it). Second, our waitress, Sandra (maybe Alesandra as the music was kind of loud and I may have mis-heard) seemed as though she was more interested in the table behind us on the patio than in assisting us. It took 30 minutes for my party’s first order to come out even though it was a simple order of a single hookah. Thirdly, when my party was getting ready to leave and requested the check, we were told of a $150 minimum that was mentioned nowhere. Not at the door, not at the second table that requested to hold onto for the tab, not once by the waitress when she took the order and brought out our hookah/drinks. Which even then she messed up and forgot to put in the waters without ice (small issue but understandable, late night). After mentioning the issue regarding the unknown minimum spend, she brought in Mr. Sasha Woo (with no introduction at that). That brings us to our fourth point; Sasha came in a very argumentative mood. After mentioning the “minimum spend” that was not once mentioned to my party. He questioned our character and credibility with a single statement which I quote “Do I look dumb to you?” Prior to this I tried to tell him that none of the staff mentioned any sort of minimum but he refused to acknowledge that it may have happened. After making this statement, he brought the door staff to the table to clarify the issue and was quickly explained that they in fact did not make any mention of the minimum. Despite this statement from the staff he was still very argumentative and offered no remorse for the attack on my party’s character. Instead he mentioned that he can waive the cover for any females in my party but the males would still have to meet a $50 cover. At this point I reluctantly paid my tab so I can quickly leave the establishment before my character was attacked again. I would recommend going to another lounge instead of this unless you would like to be treated in such a poor manner.

Greenhouse Bistro is an unsuspecting destination for contemporary American and Italian cuisine, where craft beer flows as freely as water and cocktails are concocted with the care of a chemist. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary garden where urban cuisine is reimagined through a lens that's both modern and distinctly Italian. Having meandered through their menu on a few occasions, each visit feels like a new chapter in an ongoing gastronomic adventure. The Rockfish, for instance, is a symphony of flavors, with its wild-caught dignity resting atop a bed of creamy sautéed orzo, accompanied by roasted corn and kale, all serenaded by a red pepper coulis. It's a dish that could easily have Neptune himself trading in his trident for a dinner reservation. The Steamed Mussels, with their garlic tomato sauce and homemade toasted bread, are a testament to the beauty of simplicity. Each mussel is a tender morsel of the sea, captured in a sauce that sings with the freshness of the garden and the warmth of the hearth. The Greenhouse Salad is a vibrant tapestry of basil, cilantro, romaine, radish, carrot, cherry tomato, onion, cucumber, and walnut, all tossed in a sesame ginger dressing. It's a salad that dances on the palate, proving that not all heroes wear capes--some just come dressed in vinaigrette. The Burrata Caprese is a love letter to tomatoes, basil, and belgioioso burrata, all draped in balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil. It's a dish that could make an Italian nonna weep with joy, capturing the essence of summer in every bite. Pizza aficionados, fear not, for the Bianca with Prosciutto is a slice of heaven. The salty crispness of the prosciutto pairs impeccably with the creamy dreaminess of the cheese, making for a pizza that's as elegant as it is indulgent. Now, let's talk about "The Burger"--a culinary masterpiece where brisket, chuck, and short rib blend together in perfect harmony, accented by caramelized onions, green leaf lettuce, tomato, smoked gouda cheese, and a killer sauce, all nestled within a brioche bun. It's the kind of burger that demands a moment of silence before the first bite, a tribute to its sheer perfection. Last but not least, the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, accompanied by mashed potatoes and broccoli and drizzled with a lime butter sauce, is a dish that showcases the magic of the sea and the garden, united in a culinary marriage that's both bold and beautiful. Greenhouse Bistro, with its blend of American zest and Italian charm, is more than just a dining destination; it's a place where food is both an art and a celebration. Whether you're there for the beer, the ambiance, or the urban garden cuisine, it's a spot that continues to grow on you, one delicious bite at a time.

Google
RUN. We made a reservation for a friend’s birthday dinner but when we showed up it was a nightmare. The website doesn’t state about a dress code so they made us sit in the patio like a peasants. The food was horrendous and we didn’t even bother to order any drinks because we were in the patio. !!!!They automatically charged us 20% tip for 4 people. The website doesn’t say anything about a dress code. If you are wearing sneaker they will let you in if you’re middle eastern. There are no written statements anywhere in the menu about an automatic 20% tip. This is far by the worst place I have ever been. RUN go somewhere else

Great restaurant, hookah lounge, and club all rolled into one. Servers and wait staff are phenomenal, knowledgeable, and super helpful.

Yelp
Fair warning, the five stars reflects the totality of the Greenhouse experience as an experience. I drove to Tysons Corner and somehow found myself in a restaurant in Bălți, the former Soviet city, surrounded by characters straight out of a Borat movie. The experience is worth the visit. I'm almost speechless. Everything lights up neon green--the ceiling, the underside of banquettes, amazing. At night it becomes a disco--but a SNL "wild and crazy" Czech guys sort of disco. The food was just ok fyi.

Yelp
Okay environment, solid parking, "meh" customer service, subpar food (except the French fries, those were great)

Yelp
The atmosphere is good and switches to a club vibe late night. They have different types of live music different days. The service on Saturday night is only s good as your waitress. I've been here a couple of times and I wonder if the included 20% gratuity is what makes some waiters less attentive. Wayer wasn't provided until we were two alcoholic drinks in. Our party had to wait 5-10 minutes for utensils, 3 separate times and two of us had to leave and get other waitets to assist and grab silverware from other tables. When ordering ribeye steak, you don't want it getting cold. The same occurred when we received dessert without utensils. Throughput the night we had to get othetvwaiters to assist or grab our waitress. Nobody wants negligent service but when spending $500 on dinner you definitely look at what your tip contributed to. The food was pretty good in general but the rockfish was sold out. I assume it's popular so go early for that dish. Ribeye was tender and a decent quality paired with flavorful potatoes and well sesred asparagus. The drinks were pretty good with the passion fruit and pomegranate martinis being faves, sweet with a kick. After 10pm in the summer the prices have increased to $100 pp to sit in the lounge and $50 pp to sit and dine outside. The lounge is a club atmosphere with a good DJ. The main restaurant area ends up open space with a live band, typically the salsa dancers and people looking for something more relaxed are in that area.

Yelp
Stopped in on Father's Day to get a couple of drinks and enjoy a nice cigar. Hammed the GM provides exceptional hands-on service, personable, and worked to ensure our needs were met. WE arrived and asked for the cigar lounge area. He provided a place on the outside patio. However, it was not a dedicated cigar area. It was a smoking area - we explained that when we did a cigar lounge search (search near me), the Greenhouse name came up. Hameed indicated he would work with his organization to address this. This issue was quickly - as Hameed found us a nice spot on the outside patio. The outside was very comfortable, and the weather was accommodating. There is plenty of parking with numerous spots directly in front for Handicap. We did not come for food ... just drinks, so we can not speak to the menu and / or food.

Yelp
Me and my husband stopped in for drinks after we had dinner. The restaurant was not crowded music was playing it seemed like a chill place to stop and have a drink and for my husband to smoke a cigar. I ordered a French 75 but the waitress recommended a Lavandar French 75. I took her up on her recommendation, the drink was really good I could definitely taste the lavendar and the gin. The presentation could have been better, maybe add a lavendar flower or a slice of lemon (I am big on presentation). My husband ordered an Old Fashion made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon he said he enjoyed the drink and would order again. If I am in the area I will definately return for drinks and to try the food!

Yelp
An interesting location and space, given the abundance of 1970s - 80s office buildings in the area. Not the locality or venue you would expect for a dance club, but where there's a will, there's a way. But is it the right way? That's a good question; and one that is not readily disambiguated at first glance. While the ambiance, service, and drinks are all decent, the prices remind you why you have to drink before going out. But if you drink too much, you might feel a little out of place here; among a bevy of older clientele as they attempt to celebrate fleeting & elusive feelings of youth, while nonetheless being coated in wrinkles and unironic 80s fashion accoutrements. Cue Seinfeld: "Not that there's anything wrong with that." If you're looking for a venue that is high energy, youthful, or ideal for scoping trysts, this place might not be keen. If you're from out of town, need a break, or with some friends, and have no expectations, however, this is a beautiful venue that has a slight upscale ambiance with decent music (it varies from EDM and techno to pop and Latin dance). Unfortunately, it is in the middle of nowhere; so if you imbibe a little too much, you're stuck in between a rock and a hard place. Plan and consume wisely, accordingly. Recommendation to the establishment: have all-you-can-drink packages or lower the prices of stiff drinks. Beautiful, extravagant drinks are great, but they provide for an upscale time and not necessarily a fun time. The two do not have to be mutually exclusive nor at odds. Likewise, rotating DJs and music themes would better optimize the ambiance: lowering volume at times to permit for talking, as it is NOT a full, dedicated nightclub, may be ideal; followed by bouts, nights, or interludes of full-on dance-y mood setting. Even though I do not go out often, I have a suspicion the only person who will ever truly bring down the house in the not-so-mean streets of Tysons and McLean is yours truly. While the party invariably follows wherever I go, it would be great if establishments may better impart that unto their clientele.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place - I really did. The server was very friendly. The owner dropped by to tell us about the restaurant's recent reopening and about the back room with late night bottle service and a DJ. He was very kind and engaging. But the food just didn't measure up. It was overcooked and flavors were off. And although they have clearly sunk funds into producing a very nice menu, its offerings are far too ambitious. My hope is that they will reduce the number of dishes and work hard to ensure that each one is top notch. That said, it seems like a nice place for cocktails after work or late at night and a fun place for those who are generally seeking a nightlife in an area lacking these types of things. I wish them the best of luck in bringing their food up to the level of their service and friendliness.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner amid two rooms of much greater sophistication than the clubs you went to in college or as a teenager. This is a smart, mostly accomplished D.C. crowd. One room moved to a South American rhythm, the other techno. My spicy rigatoni pasta was fantastic. I also ordered Margherita pizza with pepperoni which was hands-down amazing and could hold its own against the best Italian restaurants. Truly. Staff is appropriately attentive.

Alyssa K.

Yelp
This place cracks me up because it's so hidden in Tysons that people don't know about it but it's big enough for a happy hour with lots of friends and the food is great and the prices are good too. I was surprised at the high quality of the pizzas and the fries come out crisp and hot which is often a barometer for me. :) I recommend for happy hour drinks and snacks for sure. Not sure about the dinner or late night atmosphere. Might be different. Service was good.

Yelp
We had a terrible evening at Greenhouse Bistro last night with rude, inattentive service, fake prices on menus that they won't honor, defective hookah they charged for anyway, over an hour wait because they took our items to the wrong tables, and a mandatory 20% tip on our check, with no desire or willingness by the staff to fix anything. Our entire treatment and how the staff handled our night was completely unacceptable. We were a party of 4, sitting in the left side of the patio area on Sat evening 1/27/2024. One friend arrived early, so he put down a card to be able to get a table. 45 minutes in, he had to leave, but the rest of us planned to be there for about three hours. No one told us that when one person leaves, he can't just pay for his items and go. You have to close out the WHOLE table's check, just because one guy is getting up and leaving. We were told that someone should have warned him up front at the door. So we had to scramble for our cards and figure out how much each person had, who has to give whom money, and what other people are going to use their cards. They also don't split checks by items, only dollar amounts. I ordered a hookah. When it came out, the flavor lasted for about 20 minutes. I asked about this. The hookah server said her that manager told her to take a puff of it to prove that it was bad. She agreed that "it tastes like nothing", then went to talk to her manager again. She came back and said the only option was for me to pay for an extra head of a new flavor. Totally unacceptable and disgusting treatment, if they can't get it right the first time. So I ordered the second head anyway, because I came here to smoke a hookah and enjoy my time with friends. It took over an hour. I didn't understand. I was looking around. Hookah servers were continuing to bring out hookahs and extra heads to other tables, but I'm just left sitting. I had to ask my table server about it three times and she finally checked with someone, and when the hookah guy finally came around with my extra head, he told me that it was originally taken to the wrong table. There were fake menu prices as well. They don't have paper menus, and the QR code menu did not work, so a friend just looked up the menu online and asked for the Greenhouse Burger, for $13. He even pointed to the menu with the server there and said "I want that burger, with no bacon." When the check came out, the item was called "The Burger" at $19. Not that $6 is a huge deal, but it's pretty disreputable that they would just give you a fake price, and charge you another, higher amount. The check even said "No bacon", lol. The final check amount had a "mandatory" 20% added. I didn't agree to that, and no one told me up-front about a required 20%. The amount I tip would depend on service. But I didn't argue, and let it slide. I asked my server after we were forced to close out and pay early, 45 minutes into the evening, if I could get another diet coke and ice water. She said "Yes." Over the next 45 minutes, I watched her bring trays of iced waters and coke-looking drinks to several other tables, and she never came back to our table once. I guess they figure since they're getting that guaranteed 20% no matter what, they can just treat you like s**t. So I called tonight, on Sun 1/28/2024, to speak to a manager, and that's where things really went off the rails. The manger I spoke to said their policy is not to split checks by item, and that when one person leaves the table, it's customary to close out that whole table's check. He also stated that "this is the way all restaurants are" and that "Our clients all understand that. We shouldn't need to explain that at the door." - but I recalled a server mentioning that this is something they are supposed to make a point to warn people about at the door. He could've fooled me, saying every restaurant in the world requires a table's check to be closed out, so somebody can leave. On the 20% for poor service, he stated "Our servers work for tips, no we can't adjust anything." I asked "What about for poor service, and a 20% that they didn't earn?" On the failure to my drinks after the check, he said "The expectation is that after you close out your check, you will be leaving." But I mentioned again that we were FORCED to close out our check early. So now we're talking in circles. He wouldn't help. On the hookah and burger price, he said he would get back to me about that. I'd say if you're looking for a simple dining night, definitely DO NOT go to Greenhouse. I'd highly recommend against giving your money to people who give such horrible service, lie about prices, make you pay early (and then stop serving you), take your stuff to other tables, and then tack on 20% to your check just for your privilege to be there.

Yelp
I've been following Masoud(owner) for the last 15 years. Every place He opens is a hit! So many bad reviews for no reason. First You have to understand that it is very hard to run this type of business, also You have to be very respectful to its patrons and be courteous to the staff; don't complain about a leak in the bathroom or the missing lime, things happen people! With all that said, I will keep bringing friends here...Thank You Masoud :)

Christopher D.

Yelp
Food served cold. Arrogant staff from top to bottom. Poor and unnecessary display of attitudes. I wonder if Management is aware?

Michaele S.

Yelp
There are three seating areas: indoor, outdoor greenhouse seating area and outdoor seating area. They have valet parking available but the parking lots are behind the restaurant area if you want to go it yourself. Lots of accessibility parking There is hookah available to come to your table as well. The passion fruit drink was ok, the passion fruit flavor was not as strong as I was hoping. The shrimp gambas were lovely- it's 5/6 jumbo shrimp in sauce and it's two slices of bread and the bread is nice and soft. The steak frites were ok, nothing special but the steak wasn't seasoned as much as I would have liked so I probably wouldn't order that again if I come back. For desert I had the dulce de leche cheesecake and that was good as well. It comes with a side of whipped cream and some sliced strawberries.

Yelp
We booked and got the table straight behind the disco man ! Too much, requested a move and we got it, amazing service ! Later someone joined our party and we got an exclusive entry for the VIP place inside... since I have a problem with my ankle in which they acknowledged it and got me a chair. Manager can to check every time. I order to get a seated table was 1,500.00 per person! Which I didn't mind!! We were 10 but already paid $600.00 for food out at the patio.... I don't drink! But was taken care of. Pizza was amazing and ordered every single item on the menu which was amazing ! No complains there. Leaving the lounge: you do get guys asking to leave with them!! How desperate... It's a fun place with lots of dance room and each is separate. Bouncers reached out to women breaking bad (dancing on tables ) in a respectable way. Don't know why it's a 3 star... I will give it the 5 . Thank you for amazing food

Shahab A.

Yelp
We paid $212 for two people which gratuity was added even though they messed up the order two times they still charged us for the wrong food and still couldn't get it right; Sad to see this but I have should've listened to the other reviews and not have came here.

Reza V.

Yelp
We where driving by and stop by here , food is amazing and music rocks. Great place highly recommend it

Ms R.

Yelp
Staff and manager were really rude. I drove far to come here for salsa music because their web site says there's live salsa every Friday. The manager rider waved me away and said "it's canceled!" . The hostess then attended to the people behind me like I wasn't there.

Yelp
Excellent service! T House Hookah was great with no harsh aftertaste. Ask for Rita, she will take care of you!

Yelp
Great atmosphere. T- house Hokah was phenomenal. Rita was an amazing server. Thank you

Yelp
This bistro is an amazing place that is great for dates or with friends. The outside seating is great for cocktails, as well as, hookah. The speciality drinks are great and the mint hookah is the best. In addition, the service was excellent and welcoming.

Yelp
Beautiful bar area, decore was super cute, insta worthy and that Beautiful patio was perfect for a relaxing dinner in the shade after happy hour ends at 7 at the bar. Decent happy hour menu: https://www.greenhousetysons.com/happy-hour The old fashioned & the chicken sliders were very tasty. But sadly the staff here have a huge attitude problem, very rude and condescending during happy hour at the bar. This was my first time & was my experience. For dinner the beet salad was fantastic, the Mark was a well made cocktail. Server was a bit better than the snobbish bartender. Overall this bistro has a great atmosphere, surprisingly enjoyable outdoor patio given how its practically on a main road, I suspect the service road provides a barrier from the road noise. Plenty parking and great spot for groups. I still recommend this place for their excellent food, tasty drinks and the atmosphere!

Nutan C.

Yelp
Beware! I don't recommend this place. Overpriced and bad service. The waitress took my credit card when my group sat down. I was told that when we cashed out we could pay separately. It was my birthday so my friend paid the entire tab. The waitress did not bring my card to me. I forgot since I'd had a few drinks. I went the next day as soon as they opened and spoke to the manager. He couldn't find the card and said the waitress had it and he/they would call me. I never received a call so after a few days I called. I told the guy who answered the phone the name of the waitress (starts with M). He told me to come on Thursday and get the card. This place is not convenient for me, I went and the lady behind the desk took my ID, went somewhere, came back and said they did not have my credit card. What on earth did the waitress do with my card? They completely wasted my time. The food here is mediocre, the service terrible. Go to Friends Kabob across the street--the food is 100% better.

Richard C.

Yelp
I walked in to get a beer and a appetizer bc traffic was horrible, bartenders was extremely rude I ask him " what is your happy hour" bartender looks at me and pointed at the digital menu, he never said hello or anything he just walked away! Well I order a beer and the worst calamari I ever had, the dish comes with more fried veggies than " calamare" horrible service and food! I do not recommend this restaurant at all!

Oscar Z.

Yelp
Their location is very nice if you are dining in. Some of their employees are not familiar with their menu items. For example the lamb burger on their menu, is actually a lamb roll that comes in a pita bread wrap. I called on two occasions regarding the lamb burger and two different employees said it comes on a brioche bun just like other burgers. One of them said it comes with pita bread as a side item only, but a brioche bun for the burger. This was not true. One of the employees also was unable to answer what kind of oil was used for the french fries besides "vegetable oil". I would advise not getting the cannoli, it is an extremely small portion size, with three small cannolis. Also the cannoli filling is some sort of chocolate or hazelnut cream cheese or ricotta filling. It is not the plain sweetened ricotta cream cheese filling normally used in cannoli. The hazelnut ricotta or cream cheese filling they use doesnt go well with the cannoli- and they should mention what the filling is on their menu since it is not standard cannoli filling. The french fries included as a side item with the burgers are not good. The cheesecake however is good and seems like it could be house made.

Yelp
What a fun place! Food was delicious and the scene was fun with music, dancing, and hookahs! We were able to be seated for a party of 6 on a Friday evening but would recommend making a reservation beforehand as the place filled up shortly after. They have a $50 minimum per person, which a couple plates and drinks covered easily. Overall was a great experience, but with the music and smoke, not the best place to hold a conversation. Enjoy!

Yelp
Stay away from this place!!! The food here is way overpriced for the portion size that you get the drinks are made very light and contains little to no alcohol and mostly ice. The same can be said about the hookah, when we received it, no matter how hard we tried very little smoke came out there was no flavor, and it seem to run out very quickly compared to other hookah spots. We would be lucky if these were the only issues however the waitresses were terrible. You would think the patio option would have better service since it's more chill than the inside club atmosphere on the weekends. However, we had to wait forever to get any of our orders in or for the waitress to come back and check up on us if we needed more water, another run of drinks, etc. anytime we asked for anything it seemed like we were a nuisance to the staff and they didn't want to be bothered. We will never come here again. There are other similar places around the area that offer way better service, and better food.

Yelp
I'm feeling Miami in Virginia while sitting out door at this amazing place. I went there with my friends on Sunday. We had food, hookah, and drinks! Our server Luchia made our experience excellent. The food was fresh and delicious, we got a few aptizers. They just need to improve their hookah because it's expensive but not good as it should be. Will be back for sure soon.

Yelp
I put down a deposit of $250 for a reservation at greenhouse bistro on Nov 30th. We paid with a different card for the dinner. It's been over 10 days and I still haven't received my deposit back. I've been trying to call but it's impossible to reach out! Nobody is returning my calls. This is very irresponsible and inefficient management and very unethical treatment of the customers!

Yelp
Rainy Sunday night, pretty dead at 740, maybe 10 people at the bar, service a little slow because of how slow the crowd is. Whiskey Sour mixed well; tuna fresh and overall full of flavor.

Yelp
Honestly we heard great things about this place and my best friend and I were quickly disappointed. Upon arriving it took us 10 min just for a server to come over to us. The music was so loud (from inside) that I had to repeat myself three times while screaming our order to our waitress. All of our food came out before our hookah which is crazy to me because hookah was supposed to be the main experience/attraction. Our pizza order was wrong, they brought out a pineapple pizza with mushrooms when we asked for no mushrooms (as my friend is allergic). After almost an hour we finally got our hookah which was harsh. The melon flavor we got was not it (which I normally get and love). When closing our tab, our waitress said there was a minimum of $100 and we only spent $85 not including the tax and tip so of course we ordered a shot with two limes to split (we couldn't think of anything else to order and our bellies were full at this point). Our shot came out with one lime. At that point we had it, and had to mention something to the manager. In all fairness we noticed him running around and clearly working but we needed him to know that the service could've been better. His staff should've mentioned that there was already an added 20% gratuity charge to the final bill because that would've impacted what we left (I swear we're not cheap). We ended up tipping on top of the 20%. The server had a slight attitude when she saw us talking to the manager. The manager gave me his biz card and claimed he'd make it right but it's not about the money. It's about a clearly over packed place with service that needs to be improved. The bathrooms were out of service and water was leaking from the restrooms. It wasn't a pleasant experience and not a way I'd want to end the night. Overall, looks like a fun place with good music but the service and dishonesty killed our experience. Hoping it was just an off day for them but several other tables seemed frustrated too. Happy we tried it though to cross it off our list.

Yelp
We came to Washington from Houston for a wedding of our friends for the weekend. My husband owns middle eastern restaurant in Houston. We spent evening of Apr 19 in Greenhouse. Had nice table with drinks for around 8-9 ppl. Everything was fine until the time my husband wanted to order hookah. He got $72 bill instead of $55. My husband has strong principles, he will not pay price higher for smth that costs different (read lower) price in the menu. After asking why the price is $72, server replied that this includes tax and tips. My husband told that he will decide about the tips. After he refused to get the hookah. 3 ppl of security or whatever these ppl are disrespectfully kicked my husband out. One of them was Sasha, who was smiling with his crooked grin, feeling his power. This place is full, they have a lot of customers, so they don't need more. SHAME ON YOU, GREENHOUSE

Yelp
The ambiance is amazing, the food is good, hookah best I've ever had, I really love this place. I was visiting from LA & would visit again. Amazing!

Yelp
Worst service I have ever encountered, the staff could learn a thing or two about hospitality.

Yelp
Very relaxed restaurant with great vibes and service. The food was great and coming here with friends for some dinner, hookah, and drinks is the best way to spend your time :)

Yelp
Stopped into Greenhouse last week for a truly lovely dinner - it had been a minute since I'd come here so I was thrilled to try out some new menu items! I just love the space here... and each area has their own little vibe. My favorite is the front patio (that's where we ate) - it has an urban trendy look with the big black cushiony couches and greenery dangling from the ceiling. Definitely recommend checking them out for a meal or even some late night hangs (on weekends they're open until 2am!!) What we tried: * Custom specialty cocktails (lavender and strawberry) * Bruschetta Trio (tomato, mushroom, avocado) * Tiradito - sea bass, red onion, green onion, avocado, lime, cilantro, aji pepper sauce * Steamed Mussels in garlic tomato sauce * Half Chicken Entree: bbq glazed with grilled pineapple, sautéed spinach & mushrooms * Chilean Sea Bass Entree w/ heirloom tomato salad

Yelp
First of all this place is great when you want be in town to come and dance. The food was good not five star but okay, the service was great but when it came to the tab, with a birthday party we were surprised we calculated to separate the check and it was over by $20 even after gratuity, which was strange to just come for dinner. Just be careful when paying

Yelp
I absolutely do NOT recommend this place for any group outings...unless you really don't like the person you are with and don't want to show him/her a good time. Service is just atrocious. They are lazy with a capital "L". Their "gratuity" numbers are just appalling. 20% gratuity for what? For your waitress not bringing utensils? For not being able to open a bottle of wine? For cold food? Overall, the place is just sleazy.

Farasat S.

Yelp
They had a bad services because they told us to set somewhere and it was cold my mom told them that it's cold here and the lady services said why did you wore shorts and she said you looks like homeless people. Then I left the restaurant I did not liked it.

Yelp
Came here for an event. I ended up getting one of the lamb dishes which was fine. I also got a special juice that they made with celery and ginger. It was fine. I don't think anything was particularly memorable about this place except for the exceptionally slow service. The food was just okay. If I was in the area I'm not sure I would come back. They have plenty of parking in the lot.

Yelp
What a funky experience. Honestly the music on Friday night in the hookah lounge was really really good, but when you play music that good you can't expect everyone to just keep calm and hookah on. It's awkward because you can only sit and sip or smoke. If you want to dance there isn't anywhere to do it. The lights and aesthetic feels like a nightclub but there's a little bit of an identity crisis as half the people is trying to hold a regular evening conversation and the other half is ready to Melbourne shuffle and dance their heart out. I say keep half the place as table service but make the scene conducive to showing appreciation for the DJs because the music is too good to sit down to! Ironically when we got out there were people jiving to whatever music was happening in the open area of the restaurant so I don't get why they couldn't show some love to the club/lounge area as well! Also the bouncers and waiters/waitresses make things confusing on where to go in the restaurant. The bouncers skip between acting all buff and exclusive and being passive - I wasn't sure if we should have been stopped by them between the outer (?) part of the restaurant and the inner lounge area. This place looks great and has everything it needs to be great, it just has to act great.

Yelp
I could give a 0 star if it's enabled. This review is for folks who want their money to be spent on things they like than spend forcefully because of the crappy conditions imposed on by this Restaurant. Be prepared to spend money that you may have not necessarily spent because of their "minimum" charge conditions. -Spend a minimum of 100 for 2 people even though there is nothing of your interest in the menu to eat or drink. -The drinks or food brought at the bar won't count . You have to spend a min 100bucks at the table if you want one and you will be charged a mandatory 20% gratuity. Tips and gratuity cannot be imposed without consent from the customer and they swipe the card adding 20% by default. Never going to this place again. Might as well spend my money on my willingness and on things I like. Hope this review helps at-least few folks before they choose to go to this place.

Yelp
Pretty atmosphere and ambiance. However a little too loud to hear others at the table. Hookah was amazing! Food was average to be honest. Drinks were good. It's a good spot for the late night!

Yelp
ZERO STARS IF I COULD. DO NOT GO HERE. TRULY AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Made the reservation on Resy on Sunday December 24, 2023, around 1:50 pm for 10 guests at 6:45 pm on December 31, 2023. Emailed on Dec 24 from Resy confirming reservation. I get a text notification on December 26, 2023, at 8:18 pm stating "Your reservation is not Valid for New Year's Eve celebration and will be cancelled. Please call 703.537.5700 for confirmation. Thank you." I called the number twice, once at 8:28 pm and again at 8:32 pm, no answer. It may not have been open seeing that it was Christmas day. I emailed Resy and they said the reservation was not cancelled from what they could see and advised me to call the restaurant. I called on December 27 2023 at 2:42 pm and could barely hear the man speaking on the phone. He said that reservations had to be made on the phone and to call back at 4 pm. I checked and that is when the restaurant opened. I called back at 4:18 pm, the same man answered the phone with just "hello" and told me this was not the restaurant number and to call back at the restaurants number. I asked what the restaurants number was and he repeated the same number I had been calling and hung up. I re-dialed the number and told him it was the same number and he said he would call back in 5 minutes. I waited 10 minutes and called back at 4:30 pm and no one answered. I even called on my house phone to see if they were ignoring just my calls, no one answered that number either. I called back around 5 pm and he said hello, I asked who am I speaking to, he said Sasha, I said Sasha who? He said Sasha the manager. I said okay where am I calling, what establishment. He said "the number you called". I said AND WHAT IS THAT? He said Greenhouse. I said okay, you've been giving me the run around, I am trying to speak to someone about my reservation and you said this wasn't the number so what is it. He switched his tone and started asking about the reservation and he said I had to make a reservation at 6:30 pm (instead of 6:45?? Really??) to have a full dinner service. And we had to leave at 8:00 pm or would get charged $100. The Resy reservation says by 10 pm and $75 dollar charge. He kept asking so what do you want to do about it. I explained why I was frustrated to no avail. I said I wanted to cancel it (because if this is any indicator of the experience I will have dining there, god forbid). He immediately hung up. I called back three times and he finally answered. I said I just wanted to make sure my reservation is cancelled because it seems like you hung up on me. I told him this was truly terrible customer service as someone who used to work in the industry and he said "I know".

Yelp
Fun time. Vibes all night. Great music. Great place to dance. Shoutout to Rita serving the hookah!
