We went for a late lunch (1pm), and although still slightly busy, we were sat immediately and brought water. We skipped the yummy looking apps and went straight for lunch. Burger and brisket tacos - both delish! We will be back!

Google
Can not rave enough, this place exceeded expectation! Was a functioning greenhouse for decades & then was beautifully remodeled into this amazing restaurant, while still keeping its plant charm! (Bonus: all the plants I saw were thriving, green & happy! Perfect vibes) & The patio tables are cleverly made from the oak tree that had lived out front for years before falling! Thank you Cole for the cool history tidbits and being such a pleasure! The food was genuinely amazing and I can’t wait to come back! 🌱🪴

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌿🍃🏠 If you’re looking for a place in Denton to take your special someone, to celebrate a joyous occasion, or just a fun place to hang with friends and loved ones, this is the place to go to. The interior and exterior is very cute. Service is always consistent and the staff is friendly. They have daily specials so definitely check those out. This time we ordered the pistachio hummus with tortilla chips (a favorite of ours.) My husband got the honey Chipotle salmon and I got the black bean tamales. I am dairy-free so it was nice that I was able to customize the black bean tamales to fit my dietary needs. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options and they can alter a meal to meet your restrictions. Overall, our meal was delicious and you really can’t go wrong with the other items on the menu. Week nights aren’t typically crowded, but I have made reservations on weekends and for Valentine’s Day just to be safe.

The restaurant is a gem of a place - very neat and clean, open environment. I visited this place for lunch on a weekday. Their food is always fresh and delicious. I had honey glazed grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and seasoned green beans.

Google
Beautiful, rustic, earthly, and yummy restaurant in the heart of Denton. The pistachio hummus was phenomenal. We went right at 6:00 p.m. and had zero wait time. By the time we left the restaurant got full. They have a really cute and nice patio with gorgeous tables.

Google
visited The Greenhouse in Denton, Texas, on Friday, July 25th, and really enjoyed the experience. The interior has a great casual dining vibe that’s perfect for conversation — relaxed but refined enough to feel like a treat. Our waitress struck the perfect balance of attentiveness: available when needed but never intrusive. She gave us excellent recommendations when we were torn on what to order. Pictured are two of our entrées: Honey Chipotle Salmon – This was the table favorite. The salmon was glazed with a rich honey chipotle sauce and served alongside jack cheese mashed potatoes and broccolini. The dish was clean, flavorful, and well balanced — the richness of the potatoes was offset beautifully by the glaze. I could honestly put that glaze on anything. 😂 Stuffed Chicken – Filled with poblano pesto and jack cheese, this chicken dish was topped with a creamy poblano pesto sauce and served over the same jack cheese mashed potatoes. While tasty, it felt like it was missing something — maybe a pop of acidity or a marinade to liven up the chicken. Still enjoyable, just not quite as memorable as the salmon. Overall, we had a fantastic dinner. The wine was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet Friday night out. I’m sure we’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Google
Extremely cute place to eat! I loved the ambiance and decor. It smells so good just stepping in the parking lot. The service was good and enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the pesto gnocchi with smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was pretty good! The gnocchi was kinda flavorless but also i did not go with the recommendations either. I think everything on the menu sounded delicious, so i wouldnt be surprised if another dish changed my mind to 5 stars for the food. The prices in the meantime seem to stretch a bit far from their value.

Google
Steak was delicious and so was the salad. Very quiet nice place to enjoy a good meal.

Yelp
An oasis from the hubbub of the rough and tumble kinetic energy packed, frenetic pace of the "Real World," the Greenhouse has transformed this lucrative healthy lifestyle loving venture into a 21-Century unmistakably Denton, Texas, multiply receiving the title of "Best in Denton, Texas Awards." As one of the three original owners, Denton serial entrepreneur and Budget Bug Don Merki, designed a wonderfully luminous green space, which intentionally included the nice and almost serendipitous space that follows the orientation of the the outer space, which includes all manner of lush green plants and booths in the midst of walking path right around the majestic structure, next door to The Optometrist Ragsdale Vision Center, which became, by default, where I went for glasses and contact lenses. The Greenhouse has seen the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic Shut Down in the world, which thankfully we weathered somehow and have been flung free from the wreckage of a burning plane, free and easy. The Greenhouse is iconic and got there the old fashioned way: Fresh Farm to Table steaks, John B. Denton Mesquite Cooked Burgers, Rainbow Trout, and Craft Cocktails, including one called the Kroger Grocery Store Parking Lot Death Match. The full bar has a great rotating range of local Denton beer, like Denton County Brewing Company, and Starbase Brewing Company, which was actually featured at the Little d's Brew Festival, which was sponsored by the Rotary Club, who is the best organizer of public business community trade shows, and venue management. I aim to get back to basics like creating something that can last a thousand years, by mastering our craft, which is in our case which is a real crown jewel in premium elite fine dining, your own personal way. Cheers, Mark C. Fearing, Ph.D.

Yelp
Oh my gosh what a joke! The place smelled terrible on the inside and we waited 15 minutes by the host's table and nobody sat us. Two waitresses were talking they couldn't be bothered to ask us to sit or anything. Oh well if you see greenhouse keep on driving!

Yelp
Can't be sure how they stay open with service that is almost comically bad. We've been here many times over the years, and the food is always good. We came for Sunday brunch, got here at 11, and no one gave us a brunch menu. When we asked for brunch menus, we got one for our group of 8 people. No kids menu even though we had kids with us. We sat around with empty coffee cups while we watched 4 employees hang out by the front door. Servers didn't even enter the room for entire 10-15 minute stretches, even though there were several tables with empty cups. No one checked on us between when we ordered and when our food arrived, which was easily twice as long as we had expected. They are not understaffed. They're just... all chilling out. No service. No urgency. No concerns in the world.

Larry D.

Yelp
Stuck us in the bar right beside the only group in the place. Had a host wait on us. Seemed untrained or distracted. Failed to inform us of the cash/credit pay scam they run Gave us bogus explanation of the extra charge on the bill Mgr explained that it was because the credit card company charges them they MUST charge us EXTRA. on top of their already inflated prices Wonder when they're gonna up charge for their electric bill or the water used in the bathroom If you're want to charge more GIVE MORE. Decent burger & fries & tasteless redfish shouldn't cost $50. Lots of restaurants go out of business for this type of arrogance

Mike D.

Yelp
Came here with my wife for coffee and desert. Both were delicious. Wait staff was amazing. The restaurant was very relaxing and we enjoyed it here. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
This was a really satisfying experience! First, the Greenhouse dining room and patio eating areas bring a great ambiance in which to eat your meal. Comfortable, woodsy, and earthy in feel. The service was good, our server did a great job with our group of 6. We were all happy with our food. I personally had the Shrimp Po-Boy, which is a monthly feature. I got it grilled and it was literally amazing. I also tried a bite of the Stuffed Chicken Breast and while it was really good, my favorite was my Po-Boy!

Susan T.

Yelp
Had a great lunch with a friend today. The ahi was great on the big salad. Cole was amazing as a server. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He informed us of their event room. The pistachio humus was a great appetizer. The salad was definitely big because I took half home with me. I loved their goat cheese cilantro dressing. My two favorite foods. Will definitely go back again.

Yelp
Be aware that parking is on the side on the building. Front door faces the Main Street. The booth seating is a bit tight. The service was good. Mac and cheese was good but cheese tasted like canned cheese. Salmon burger could have used some more flavor. Honey chipotle salmon was well cooked and mashed potatoes were very flavorful! Fair experience!
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
A very good dining experience! Our server was training and did a very good job with the newbie trainee. The booths are nice and quiet, so this is a good place for a private meal. The menu has plenty of old favorites and some interesting twists. I got the salmon burger with sweet potato fries and I was very pleased. The flavors were good and everything was well-prepared. Thank you for a good experience!

Yelp
We used to love this place, and would come here for special occasions or when we have visitors, but now only came here because of the limited choices of good restaurants in Denton. The place feels a little run down and the food is not really worth the money anymore.
google avatar

Chris U.

Yelp
I've been here for lunch twice in the past couple weeks and both times the food was excellent. Had the sirloin one time and the gnocchi with chicken this time. And both were very tasty. Cleaned the plate. Wait staff is nice and friendly.

Yelp
Very disappointing. I used to eat here often back when it opened. Haven't been in some time. The interior needs a renovation. Badly. It hasn't changed. Same with the menu. It looks the same as when it opened. Well, except the prices. I paid $17 for a chicken wrap. It was not worth $17. It was decent but bland. When we got the check, and they charged a credit card processing fee. I mean seriously?! I just paid $17 for a some chicken in a tortilla and now I'm supposed to pay the credit card fee as well. I wasn't told anything about it. When I asked at the front about it I was told that it's standard practice in the industry. BS. I hope the owner reads this and makes some changes. It used to be such an amazing restaurant and cutting edge for its time. But now it's just sad and tired and too expensive for what you get.
google avatar

Yelp
The greenhouse is a very cute restaurant. It was a very nice day outside so we sat outside. The patio is cute and had shades. Our server was very nice. We ordered salmon and tamales. Everything tasted good. I would come back.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a special event with a friend and his family. There was about 30 of us and they set us up in a banquet room with a set menu. They served the children first which I really appreciate because they can be a handful if not taken care of. The event had a cash bar and the bartender was a master of his trade making some amazing old fashioneds. He also recommended a great wine. Metler Zinfandel. We had a choice between chicken, fish or steak. I opted for the steak which was cooked perfectly medium rare. The Brussels sprouts were charred very badly and so was not so great. They brought several rounds of appetizers to the table and they were all great. The service was great here. I'd like to try the regular menu some time. Give this place a try they do good.

Yelp
Words cannot express the amazing experience we had last night at the greenhouse! There were 13 of us celebrating a birthday, they added extra chairs when more people showed up. The drinks were delicious the wait staff, funny, great with food ideas, and delivered our food, hot and wow! Each dish was better than the next. Our server, Kory was second to none. She laughed with us, brought us everything we needed with a smile. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean. And the windows really set the mood. For any occasion, even just a midweek lunch, this is the place to be!

Yelp
A week ago with my mom and her friends, I tried the honey chipotle salmon with mashed potatoes and broccolini. It was good but nothing spectacular, it was average. I was thinking of trying the kale pesto gnocchi which sounded really good but I asked the waiter to help me decide between that and the salmon, and he recommended the salmon so I tried it. I wasn't a fan of the sticky plate but the sauce was still good. Service was kind of slow I just wish that was a bit better. It took our waiter a minute to get me and my mom's straws for our water so we ended up having to ask another waitress to get us straws in which she gave it to us immediately. We also had to ask another waitress to place our to go order for my dad. Ambiance was cool though! Liked the tavern feel and lots of green plants. It might have just been an off day, the time of day we went, or the staff, but that was our first experience.

Yelp
Good food and always enjoy coming here. Got the taco salad, just wish it came with beans. Made NO sense to me that you had to pay extra for them. What taco salad doesn't come with beans? So I think that should be changed since the salad is already very expensive for what it is. The brisket tacos were yummy as well.
google avatar

Nova Y.

Yelp
Again absolutely amazing. I got the brave combo burger and did a black bean patty and it was phenomenal. So much flavor and I think their thin wedge fries with the crunch is my new favorite fry. I'll be dreaming of them until I get back here!

Trevor C.

Yelp
Went with the Salmon. It was decent. I think I like the atmosphere. It looks cool but the vibe was a little off.

Melody B.

Yelp
Food was great, service was amazing for our fairly large group, even though they had an entire wedding party there at the same time. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I came here on my birthday; sat outside with my dog. The service was great; my server saw me very quickly after being seated and brought me and my pup a water. As it was my birthday, I went all out with apps and drinks. The outdoor seating was very nice and I was in a secluded part of the patio. The first drink I ordered was the Nameless Wonder; I asked my server what was good and on the sweeter side. He first recommended the My Little Coconut, but I'm not the biggest fan of coconut so I chose the Nameless Wonder instead. It sounded great and was very pretty, but had zero taste. No sweetness or flavor at all really. I ordered the brochetta. I was torn between that and the spinach and artichoke dip, and let the server decide. He chose the brocheta. It was pretty good, but rather lack luster. It felt like something I would whip up in my kitchen in 5 minutes. Maybe I was expecting more because the server said "the brochetta takes longer, but it's much better". I was okay with waiting. But it didn't seem like it took exceptionally long. It was definitely tasty! For my entree I ordered the 10oz NY strip medium rare. The steak was cooked very well and had great flavor. The sides were delish as well. The baked potato could've been better if extra care was put into mashing the inside, but that's a small thing. I wish the Gorgonzola cream sauce was thicker; it was rather watery. Tasty but very runny. Overall it was great though; I would order it again. They also made plain grilled chicken for my dog, and she was a huge fan, 10/10 would recommend; her words, not mine. With dinner I wanted to order another drink. I wasn't a fan of the Nameless Wonder so I ordered the coconut drink instead as the server first suggested, however, I was told it wasn't able to be made. Instead I ordered a margarita, and it was probably one of the worst margaritas I've ever had. It was incredibly sour with nothing to balance it out. It tasted more like something my friend would make without any bartending experience. That was pretty disappointing. We chose to get ice cream instead of desert, but the brownie desert sounded delicious. Overall, I will definitely come back. Certainly not for the drinks, but the food was very good and I'd love to try more.

Yelp
Our kid goes to UNT, and we live in McKinney, so I like to go up to visit the kiddo and take our pup with us. Found this place on a search for dog friendly restaurants in Denton. Absolutely loved it! The food was excellent, we loved the pistachio hummus, I got the brave combo burger which had a nice spicy kick to it, kiddo got the fish and chips. We shared the very delicious brownie. Also got some grilled chicken for the pup. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly. I think my favorite parts were the unique tables, they are cut from trees and have the shape of the trees. The patio can be a bit noisy since it's on a busy street. But it didn't really bother us that much. Definitely going on our list of restaurants we will be visiting again.

Yelp
GreenHouse Restaurant Denton was great! I went with the tacos and made a good choice. Gotta check out the drink selection too. Big restaurant!

Yelp
Every time I go back to The Greenhouse, I end up ordering the same menu item - the Salmon Burger. Could this be the best salmon burger in Denton? So far, I've subbed out the Sweet Potato Fries for other sides on every trip; me thinks the Truffle Fries are the best so far. The only review ding I have is that the booth tables should be lowered by 2". You almost feel like Edith Ann, while you eat. Ha! Despite the table height, I'll keep giving The Greenhouse a 5/5.

Simone R.

Yelp
Been to the Green House several times since the opened in 1998. Always with a group or people who insist on this restaurant. Since 1998 the menu has not changed, it is booooooring. No exciting food, no exciting way it is prepared or presented. Friday night, not much going on here, spinach artichoke dip was cold, bland and looked like something one uses to fill holes in a wall. Yes, waitress took it off bill but friend waited for her to go to container and just left with most of her food on the plate. There are better options in Denton to have a nice meal.

Yelp
Greenhouse has been a once a week stop for me as of the last few months. It has a very relaxing and nice vibe. On Tuesday i usually go because all the wells are 2 dollars and i love an economical drink. My favorite appetizer is easily the fried Jalapenos. That breading is very unique and delicious. For a main course im quite fond of the Pork loin with the Shiner Reduction Sauce. Get extra sauce to dip it in. All service has been stellar with my servers being able to easily guide me and spout out whatever daily or weekly specials are going on. Love this place!

Dewitt M.

Yelp
We were very happy with the food and service at our wedding rehearsal dinner. The private room was perfect for our party of 34. I highly recommend!

Joey G.

Yelp
I came here looking for yummy food and left for a memorable experience that I am sure I will never forget! Between the delicious and fair priced food, there is a genuine connection to be found here with the staff members and the owner. My family and myself ended up spending double or even triple the time I thought we were going to spend here! Overall, great drinks, fantastic food, decent prices, and very enjoyable experience for a family! Come try it out for yourself and be swept away like I was! (Food in pics are the Smothered Chicken and Honey Chipotle Salmon)

Yelp
The interior was nice but also felt off... I don't think they had music playing so it was kinda eerily quiet even with people all around. The coffee on its own was delicious I didn't have to add any cream or sugar + they come in super cute flower pot mugs! I got the hummus wrap with chicken and it was a good size. Not too sure why the dishes automatically come with chips and salsa but they were mediocre... wish the menu would say "with choice of side." Maybe I missed it on there but, would have rather had a side salad or fries. My friends got the brisket breakfast tacos which were super packed with brisket that was so juiced and delicious!! Will probably get those the next time I go. All around a nice place, but not my first choice for good breakfast/lunch food.

Yelp
I am guessing staffing is an issue. Our service was very slow and we try to keep our business local. We had to involve the manager because we could not get a second drink and our food took forever. Hope it improves.

Yelp
This is where my bridal shower was held 25 years ago not too long after they first opened. We went here recently and the food is still delicious. I highly recommend the One o'clock Lab Band cocktail!

Anthony S.

Yelp
We had a rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding on a Saturday night at Greenhouse Restaurant. They were able to accommodate a party of 53 people. Cassie did a great job helping to get the dinner scheduled and coordinated. The service was excellent!! The waitstaff was on point and very attentive. The kitchen did an awesome job in getting the food prepped and out the door. Due to the size of the party we were able to get into a private room. It was very nice and quite. Several others in our party were very pleased by the food and service as well. They were talking about it into the following day. I couldn't have been more pleased with how everything went. I would recommend this restaurant for anything from a casual dinner for date night to a grad party or rehearsal dinner. I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
I had wanted to try this place since I first saw it on Instagram. All the reviews I had read here on yelp were very good also. So was really hyped to try it Friday night with our daughter and son in law. So maybe my expectations too high ?‍ Waitress was friendly took our appetizer and drink orders. Took a bit to get our drinks, well 3 of the 4 drinks. The other they did not have the product the waitress said they did so daughter ordered something else and we also ordered our appetizers, the artichoke spinach dip. 15 minutes later we got our appetizer but still no 4th drink. Was almost 30 more minutes before she got that. So went ahead and ordered our mains. When we finally got our main courses, after almost an hour, 2 orders of the stuffed chicken and on of the earthy avocado, they looked great and tasted great. The big problem was they were all cold, really cold. Must have sat in the window for quite awhile. The only warm thing was the side of soup my husband got as a side. But was not given a spoon. By the time someone came around and then came back with a spoon,... yup it was as cold as the other items. I really do not enjoy giving bad reviews and have not written many, but this place required it. Will definitely not be returning or recommending to anyone. I hope they can get there act together.

Tony F.

Yelp
There are far too many dining options for my spouse and our friends to choose from, to return to this establishment. The waitress was disengaged and appeared to be more concentrated on getting us in and out. For the price point, 2.5 hours is little to ask for quality service. This was our second and likely last trip there. The "smoked" Old Fashioned was filled with more bitters than any hint of reasonable whiskey. This is a product of poor staff training or simply a poor staff work ethic. Get a new bartender and screen your waiting staff for a semblance of a personality. The sirloin (though I paid for a NY Strip) was grossly undercooked. Thanks also for the boxed Mac and Cheese with poorly placed bacon crumbles. I also appreciate the day after, stomach cramps and constant bathroom visits. At least the pistachio hummus was decent. All in all, this is food fit for the likes of a Luby's buffet. Hopefully the $25 in tip was appreciated.

Yelp
We eat here a lot and are usually very happy with everything. We like the calm atmosphere. Today was pretty awful. We find that the level of service everywhere has been drastically reduced. Today made us decide that we need to just start cooking at home.... We were seated quickly and staff were friendly. The server rushed through our order with us and ran off. My dining companion got his beer right away. My drink didn't come. We got our appetizer and then waited 20 minutes before anyone checked on us. When she did, I said that I hadn't gotten my drink. She went to check on it. Then another person came and said that our server had an emergency and that she would get my drink for me and check on our appetizer (which we had already eaten). I got my drink shortly after and about 15 minutes later, we got the stuffed chicken (we split it). The chicken was VERY overcooked. It did not taste seasoned. It was inedible. I am so disappointed.

Yelp
I had a great experience at The Greenhouse. This might be the most underrated restaurant in Denton. I've been a restaurant/foodie for years and years and all I do is ramble on about food and places to eat but for some strange reason no one has told me to go to The Greenhouse. YOU should go to The Greenhouse! The dining area is very nice. There are several sections of seating including a bar area, booths, tables, and bistro tables. The ambiance is very comfortable and a touch on the intimate side. You are greeted at the door and it is full table service throughout. Our server was very nice and service was on the spot without hovering. The menu has a good range of options from salads to tacos to fish plus all types of drinks and a few desserts. There is an entire separate menu for drinks so keep that in mind if you want to explore all the options. The salmon burger was really good. I think the salmon patty is house-made. It was light and very clean tasting and the combination of flavors was good. I was a bit skeptical about the cheddar cheese on salmon but it worked - however, I would probably ask for feta or Swiss next time. The sweet potato fries were fine and not greasy. The Denton Burger. Yeah this was great. I ordered medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. I like that it didn't default with cheese or bacon but those could be added by request. There were no condiments either but it didn't need any sauces because the beef was juicy and well-seasoned (this is how it should be, in my opinion). The bun was really good, light and airy, slightly toasted and it held together perfectly. The veggies, especially the tomato slices, were super fresh. I have to give specific mention to the side of broccolini (subbed instead of fries). Perfectly steamed with a touch of seasoning. This was obviously fresh and not from frozen. A lot of restaurants do not have any fresh veggies but The Greenhouse has fresh broccolini. I'm sure it is probably easier and cheaper to keep regular broccoli in inventory but they make the extra effort to offer broccolini. How awesome is that? This will be on my short list of Denton eateries and it is definitely one of the top recommendations for a sit-down, comfortable restaurant experience.

Lilly M.

Yelp
We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, fried jalapenos and brochette for starters. The brochette was to die for. I ordered the Brave Combo Burger. It was amazing. The food was very original, and the service was wonderful. I highly recommend this place. We will certainly be back.

Yelp
The staff at Greenhouse were exceptional! I needed to reserve the private dining room for a reception of fewer than twenty people and I only had a little more that two weeks to make it happen (my wife and I were married in Las Vegas on October 8), and I wanted to host a reception for our respective families who were unable to make the trip. The room was all ready for us; we were able to bring in our own wedding cake; the accommodations for one of the family members who is a special-needs adult were top-notch, and Lauren provided extraordinary attention and service - her professionalism was most exemplary. The entreés were delicious, the cocktails most refreshing, and the overall experience could not have been better. It is a foregone conclusion that my wife and I will be back, and frequently!

Yelp
I love the various grilled meats and the variety of the menu. My vegetarian friends appreciate the variety of delicious veg options.

Yelp
Service and food could improve drastically. I thought this place was so cute from the outside looking in, however service was horrendous and food was mediocre at best. Needless to say we won't be back.

Yelp
My hubby and I've lived in the area for quite some time. We've tried this place a few times but never really impressed until Saturday's visit. We sat on their lovely, socially distanced patio and it is dog friendly too! We walked right in at 6pm and got seated immediately. As we waited for our friends to arrive, we perused the menu and cocktails. Super fun options and I had a vodka Champagne drink ahead of my meal. Waters were refilled promptly and Jeffrey checked on us frequently. Starting with the spinach artichoke dip that came with tortilla chips and toast points. That was okay. It was best with the toast points! We added a single of the truffle wedge cut fries. Those were delicious if you like truffle, which I do! Snacking on everything ahead of our order. They had tempting monthly specials too. Highlights of the meal were the salmon burger, portabello sandwich and blackened redfish. Everything came out fairly quickly which is nice. The redfish had a decent chimichurri on top, I got extra of that good stuff. It was served with a side of charred brussel sprouts which I normally love. However, they flash fried the brussels in oil with made them very, very oily instead of doing an oven roast. The salmon burger was a hit, mushroom sandwich big enough for two. I'd order that redfish again but choose different sides. I'm looking forward to going back. You can order vegetarian easily from the sides and they have a fantastic Chicken Fried "steak" option made with black eyed peas. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. Well? What are you waiting for? Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food!

Becca M.

Yelp
Service was great, food came very quickly too. Best fries I've ever had! Is a bit pricey though. Place is beautiful as well

Yelp
The food was delicious! I bought the avocado quinoa ball! Yum My daughter had the fish and chips, it was delicious! The potatoes were little soggy due to taking away the order.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Had never been or even heard of this place but my friend recommended. I got the glazed salmon, which was good. The portion size was just right and the service was very good as well. I'd come back here. Did not snap any pictures. Next time.

Yelp
I drive by this place daily and was completely aware that it was here, but it never made it on my radar. It was actually my husbands idea to try this place yesterday and I can say that I'm glad we did. I will preface this by saying that we had a very, very busy day where we didn't have the luxury of actually finishing any meal we attempted to have. So by mid afternoon we were pretty hungry. We stopped by around 4pm on a Saturday, which is an off peak time. I know some of the reviews have mentioned some inconsistency, this review is based off one visit during off peak time, so that may be something to consider. The building is much bigger than it looks and has a good atmosphere. There are only three spots out front, but there is a small parking lot on the side. They have patio seating out front and then several options when you walk in. To the left is a very intimate dining area that I didn't really look at until we were leaving. It seems quiet, has mood lighting and some lovely murals. This is the spot I will ask to be seated in next time, much more suited to date night. I also noticed they had a semi secluded set of booths behind the host area, but I think that would be too close to the entrance to feel private. To the right is where we were seated. It's a large bar area with a few booths and a decent amount of tables. The bar had a very classic look that I appreciated and they had a few TVs with the game on. Our booth was along a wall of mirrors and we had ourselves an early candlelit dinner, points for ambiance, lol! The only thing I did not like about the décor/atmosphere was the tables were unusually high at the bar side booths. I'm short so I found it uncomfortable, maybe a table next time. It got loud at one point, but ended up cozy and private, which is why I would go for the dining room if I came during a peak time. We started off with a couple of sodas and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip for $9. This was really good and hit the spot. It was served with garlic toast and tortilla chips. The toast was very crispy and held up to the dip, the tortilla chips kept breaking. It was really tasty, but the thick consistency should probably be scooped with the provided spoon as opposed to dipped. Loved the flavor though, would order again! I was so hungry that I knew I was going with a steak, regardless of where we ended up. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin with bacon mac and charred Brussel sprouts for $20. These were the sides listed on the menu with the meal. The bacon mac was immediately appealing to me, whereas I figured it couldn't hurt to give the sprouts a try. My husband ordered the 16 oz t bone which was listed with green beans and a loaded baked potato, but they allowed him to sub fries and bacon mac, $30. I do want to state that though this visit was an expensive meal, there were plenty of menu items in the $11-18 range. There were also plenty of vegetarian options, even a version for the CFS and you don't see that at a ton of places. Nolan was our server and he had a great personality. He was on top of our drink refills and attentive without being pushy. He provided us with great service, which is always part of a good experience. Timing was good, the food arrived shortly after we finished our appetizer. When the food arrived I thought my sirloin had an odd shade and it seemed really weird to me that it was already cut. After taking a bite and realizing it was a bit tough and chewy, I looked and saw it was cooked well done. At this point I would say this is what I get for ordering steak at a place that also does a lot of vegetarian, but my husbands was really good. If you cut my steak though, you saw it wasn't cooked right, why did you send it out? The bacon mac was superb with perfectly cooked pasta that had a lovely even coating of cheesiness and real bacon! I have discovered that I detest brussel sprouts, not their fault at all. Also, I should mention that the flavor profile was really vinegary, which doesn't appeal to me, but I know plenty of people, including my mom, that would have enjoyed the sprouts. No lost stars over a personal preference. My husbands fries were unique- crinkle cut wedges that were very fluffy inside- I liked them! The bacon mac and fries are going to be repeat orders. Nolan checked on us after a few bites and when I told him my steak was over cooked, he apologized and offered to take it back to be redone. Now, as stated above, I was really hungry and explained to him that for that reason, I was declining the offer, I needed to eat. However, this was the appropriate offer from a customer service standpoint and knowing they would fix it was satisfactory to me. For what we got, I can admit the meal was a bit overpriced, but we also got the most expensive menu items and I clearly didn't taste my dish at its best. Not going to knock them for that. We had a good time and great service, with some high points on the food, we will be trying them again.

Yelp
I had the salad and it was presented very well and the taste was excellent. The amount of greens was ample for two servings, which is what I will do. The restaurant is very close to The Brownlow House, near the TWU Campus.

Yelp
Food is absolutely horrible. Service not much better. I asked for a hamburger cooked medium rare and it was completely pink in the middle. Been here a few times and never had a good meal. If you like raw hamburger and cold soup, this is the place for you!!!
