This Korean supermarket is a Vegas institution located on northwest corner of Rainbow and Spring Mountain Road. The grrocery store has packaged goods, fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, and a selection of household goods. The food court has many selections, and the complex also has a bakery, travel agency, and clothing stores. One complaint – prices are not well labeled on many items. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We used to come to this Korean grocery store often. It feels good to be back! It’s not as big as H Mart, but it has everything you need. Besides groceries, there are also Korean restaurants, a beauty salon, a Korean bakery, a rice cake shop, and more. Since there are so many items packed into the space, it does feel a bit cluttered.

UPDATE::: This is my goto place for banchan but recently the Japchae and Seasoned Aster was not as good! The Japchae was salty and doesn't even taste like a Japchae they used to make! Seasoned Aster went bad after a few days! Not going back😭😭😭 I guess I'll have to start going to HMART. Love coming here! Las Vegas needs to build more korean groceries! I can never go to this area without going inside Greenland. There's a food court, my fave tteokbokki with ramen and cheese or maybe freshly wrapped kimbap. But wait, before you hit the food court, The grocery also makes fresh food daily stocked all the way in the back against the wall. Sometimes food still warm. My fave pollack omelet kept in the warmer. Lots of banchan! It's good that they cook the stuff they sell so it doesn't go bad. It's not cheap but worth it if I'm short of banchan at home. But still cheaper than the Banchan Korean grocery store in the corner (their serving is half of what you get at the grocery for the same price🤭🤭); there's also a bakery where I get my rice cake donut with red bean, omg taste just like the one I get at the Dongdaemun market in seoul korea. Lastly, freezer section, make sure it's not expired!!! gamsahabnida😁😁😁

The end part of Spring Mountain Road lies Greenland Supermarket, a Korean grocery store and mini mall. I love the exterior of the building. It really does feel like you're in Korea. The inside was cool. The food court is cool, having a variety of foods serving from other east asian countries, but is mainly focused on Korean products. Oh, and by the way, while waiting for our take out order from Sakura Sushi, someone put on The Powerpuff Girls cartoon - I was like, "What they got the Powerpuff Girls on TV?" Kind of awkward.😂😅

Peace Love

Google
This Korean market is a great place to get almost all your asian groceries needs. They also have a few shops and a good food courts as well.

Was visiting here out of town to get some Korean groceries and was appalled by what we saw. Most of the produce was not fresh - mushy tomatoes, wrinkled cherries, the list goes on. The place is rundown and dirty and it’s a far cry from any Korean market I’ve been to. I snapped a couple pictures to show you. It’s embarrassing and I’d be very concerned about buying anything here, for fear of the lack of cleanliness. Had to go to another grocery store after this because we couldn’t get ourselves to buy any of the produce. Stay away!!!

Google
Great Korean food and products. Most employees in the grocery store I was trying to talk with did not speak English and some of the stock personnel appeared a little rude but it might have been a long day for everyone so no hard feelings.

Google
This security lady wearing a red shirt parked illegally on the space right next to a disabled parking where we are supposed to load and unload my son’s wheelchair. When we first parked in the spot, the space was clear so we were able to unload my son with his wheelchair from the van. However, when we are about to leave, her car was already there blocking the space and when she came out, instead of moving her car, she instead started arguing with us saying that, that’s her “parking space” and forced us to moved our van instead. I could’ve easily had her car towed since she was parked illegally but did not really want to keep my son waiting out in the sun. Tried to call management to file a complaint but was told by the manager that it is not her “area” to handle complaints like that. Very unhappy with the disrespect and unprofessionalism displayed by both the security and manager towards us.

Yelp
Definitely gave me Korean market vibes with conveniently located food court and additional small Korean shops at entrance way of market. Large space and definitely stocking all your favorite goodies!!! Unfortunately limited on my necessities and a little unorganized with a lot of cluttered spaces? Space is definitely dated and now with HMart opening hopefully they can weather the storm

Yelp
Greenland Supermarket in Las Vegas is the real deal if you're looking for a Korean market experience. The store is packed with everything you'd expect--fresh produce, meats, kimchi, noodles, snacks, and all the staples you need for Korean cooking. The ambience is what I'd call typical Korean market style: cluttered but full of treasures. Aisles are crowded with not just food but also everyday items--shampoos, Japanese and Korean scrubbies, soaps, and more--so it feels less like a polished big-box store and more like a bustling neighborhood market. One thing I love is the variety. Beyond groceries, you can find washlets, water machines, and other household goods all under the same roof. And don't even get me started on the snack section--it's huge, with classics plus quirky new finds that make you want to grab a little bit of everything. There's tons of parking, which makes shopping easy. Around the market, there are still a few small Asian shops hanging on (including a Korean skincare shop I'll review separately), though many others are closed now. If you're in Las Vegas and want authentic Korean groceries--or just love the adventure of shopping where you can buy kimchi, beauty scrubs, and a water machine in one trip--Greenland is worth the stop.

Yelp
located inside of the korean town plaza, upon walking in it gives off the impression of entering a small mall, there is a food court with numerous korean restaurant options, clothing-korean skin care stores and then of course the green land supermarket. their fruits seems to be very fresh and i do like the fact that the fruits/veggies that come "pre packaged" were already sorted and washed for quality guaranteed. Plenty of korean snacks, pre made dishes, ect. Personally i wouldn't shop for my meats here as i personally like leaner cuts rather than fatty, i didn't seem to find many lean cuts that i like but that's okay as this place has everything else! Overall this is actually a nicely located supermarket, that i would personally come back to if i am seeking a mini adventure while grocery shopping or looking for a nice sake that normally wouldn't be located anywhere else.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised at the amount of Filipino, Chinese, and Japanese options among the Korean food. The layout isn't incredible, but the Ramen choices alone will be enough to satisfy almost anyone. The drink selection is also fairly large. The sale prices are pretty decent, though I wish the frozen food had a bit more variety. Overall we had a fun time walking around and checking out the big stacks of items. The best value is the multipacks of snacks and sweets!

Yelp
Love this store so much! I try to get here every time I'm in Las Vegas. Wide selection of Korean snacks, housewares, kimchi, meats, canned goods. I love looking through the housewares dept. for gadgets not usually found in American kitchenware stores. Asia has some of the best gadgets! Got another stainless cup and Korean rice bowl with lid and another pair of house slippers. Also picked up a water bottle with a capped pour/sip spout for use in the car. Tons of free parking in private lot. There's a food court just inside the entrance and a bakery kiosk in the center foyer. Clothing & beauty stores are also tenants here. Bought some cat clothes.

Yelp
Greenland Supermarket has a wide selection of produce, liquor, frozen food, fresh side dishes, kitchen items, and more. Service has always been great and helpful. From checkout to floor staff, everyone has been terrific.

Yelp
I always come to Greenland when im craving korean items such as Kimbap (korean sushi), of course Kim Chee & other various veggies that they make fresh daily. I also like the mochi and bakery section as u enter for sweet treats.

Yelp
The yelp gods have listened! Redemption for Greenland! Stopped by today to grab a few things. I noticed today the produce prices were so reasonable! Better deals than an American grocery store. Grabbed 2 boxes of the turtle chips that were on sale. 2 packs of taro & strawberry milk boxes also on sale. Stopped by the banchan area. I crave their kimbap. I tend to prefer kimbap w/ fish cake & imitation crab. I was pleasantly surprised many of the banchan prices are very reasonable. Get this! They had fresh kimchee! There are so many banchan varieties today and everything looks so fresh! For course I grabbed so many. Taste testing right now. Kimbap, it's all gone into my stomach. Fried perilla leaf jeon filled with japchae is tasty. A little oily, I would let them hang out on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Japchae, good, spinach good, aster good, the fresh kimchee...the flavor is missing something.....fresh naps leaf kimchee, there's the kimchee flavor! Cucumber kimchee, eh. (A couple of doors down has AMAZING cucumber kimchee and overall banchan). Tteokbokki, mild and flavorful. Of course there were many other assortments. Greenland definitely stepped up their game!

Yelp
This Asian market is always our first choice. Chinatown is often too crowded on any day of the week, so I prefer to drive 5 more minutes west and head over to the Greenland Supermarket. It is located at the Korean Town Mall, at the corner of Spring Mountain and Rainbow. They carry a good variety and several items that are hard to find elsewhere, even at other Asian grocers. My favorite find here is the YamaMotoYama brand teas. They carry this brand's original and updated packaging tea boxes for extremely reasonable prices. They also carry premium tapioca pearl, lots of bulgogi, mabo tofu, and takoyaki/yakisoba/okonomiyaki sauces. This grocery store has it all. Plus, produce, meat, and fish department. If you are looking for a true Asian market, this is your place. Just be aware that the aisles are small and can be crowded with boxes slightly blocking. Also, use caution and check dates on the hot/ready prepared food items at the back of the store.

Yelp
Love Greenland Supermarket. Great food with so much variety. If you're in the mood for Korean BBQ, Yakiniku or Hot Pot at home without the crazy prices...this is your place. Grab all your favorite items (Banchan, All kinds of broths, fresh vegetables, sauces, oils, and Korean Pears) and make it at home. They also have cooking equipment for purchase which is really helpful. The market has a convenient layout and very organized. Service is hit or miss. Some employees smile and some don't but it's all good. I still love the place and will continue coming here.
google avatar

Jessie G.

Yelp
Ribeye bulgogi at the meat counter is beyond good. When they ask if you want more sauce, say yes. Stop at the bakery on the right after you check out of the grocery out to get some treats on the way out. Brownies, little cakes, cookies.
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
They've got the goods. Korean teas, snacks, carved meats, mushrooms and more. I came here for Taiwanese brown sugar and they had it in stock. I also picked up citron honey tea - a Korean classic. My sister bought some Korean chips. I'll definitely be back for more stuff soon. Like the noodles, disposable chopsticks, and fruits.
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
Korean market at its finest. They have everything I need to cook and bbq. Service is great. A little crowded on the aisle but manageable.
google avatar

Tom F.

Yelp
Horrible produce here. It's been the only game in town for Korean Groceries. Thank God there is a HMART on the way
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Homemade kimchi sounded good on a lazy Sunday. Upon searching for a great kimchi recipe, it becomes evident that Greenland has all the necessary ingredients, including gochugaru, minari, buchi, and saeujeot. At the entrance of the grocery store, you can find Asian/Korean snacks and desserts, as well as a restaurant that serves hot food. The aisles appear clean and despite the presence of seafood and fermented products, this place does not smell like it lol. Service: The employees provided me with assistance in locating a few items on the grocery list. Parking: Plenty in the parking lot.

Yelp
Been in Vegas for almost 2 years. Worst Korean Market I've ever been too (Vegas, LA, pretty states to countries). I'll just shop at SF and 168, and wait to visit family in LA to load up on any frozen/other Korean products. And just go to local restaurants, to shops for pre-made quick food to keep around at home. Pro: The food court is affordable, fast food fun though with Sakura Sushi and BBear. Only 2 places we had the chance to run by so far. To me, Korean markets are known for freshness in produce, and processed/commercialized items. Maybe my expectations are too high? Not enough customers to keep things up? The pre-made food is just horrible quality, not worth trying. We haven't visited after attempting to figure out what they specialize in. Gave up. Food Court we've tried so far: - Sakura Sushi $8.99 Las Vegas roll is our favorite quick, cheap sushi to-go. Probably cheapest special roll in the area. $10 minimum to use credit card, or else cash is taken. - BBear with Boongeo-pang (Korean fish-shaped pastry) with many items that's also vegan and gluten-free. $4 Sweet Taro Uber Paste Boongeo-pang is must!! Credit card accepted.

Yelp
I have been to Greenland over a dozen times in the past and yet this is the first time I am reviewing it. I would say anything staple in the Korean cuisine you'll find here. specially ramen. There's a huge selection of ramen, different kinds of noodles and single serving microwavable rice. They also have prepared side dishes (banchan in Korean). The isles are pretty tight and most merchandise are just stacked up on top of each other. But it is an interesting shop especially for foodies. That is why I keep coming back even though at times the only things I buy are junk food. They have tons of chips, hard candies, gummies, cookies, 3 in 1 coffees, teas etc. Still one of the better asian groceries.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
What happened to the premade food? All the Banchan tastes terrible now. Just tastes like straight up chili powder nothing else. The banchan use to be so good and flavorful now it's awful. Please fix the preparation to what it use to be years ago!
google avatar

Laila M.

Yelp
Went shopping at 8am, the bakery items were still covered and not open, so I went to produce isle, bought eggplant, opo and perilla leaves, got a big pack churro turtle chips, a bunch of banchan, sliced brisket and pork belly, noodles of all kinds, frozen dumplings. They had variety but I was hoping they had more Asian items.
google avatar

Yelp
Greenland is Asia dreamland! If you're craving everything from Korean, Japanese, Chinese and beyond then come here! They have fresh produce and imported products in the grocery store, and a food court of Hawaiian, to Korean food options. See photos for your visual shopper eyes! My friend had bought me a pound of kalua pork from Hawaii, so I was on the hunt to make kalua pig nachos with homemade won ton wrappers, and Japanese unagi rice sauce to drizzle my concoction. I was also going to make lomi salmon which required onions, tomatoes and green onions. And I found all that here! The good thing about the store is that they have cooked meals in the back of the store so you can buy fresh kimbap, kimchee, corn, japchae and much more! I'll be back here again. 8/10
google avatar

Stela T.

Yelp
I've always like to buy their ready made food at the back. It's been awhile since I bought any. This time I got gimbap and radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi. Such disappointment. The gimbap smells bad and tastes horrible. As I ate, it tasted the food is already bad, had to throw it out. The kimchi tasted sour and awful. Had to throw them out as well. Will never buy any food prepared by them. They used to have delicious food. What happened? Now I go somewhere else.

Yelp
Greenland Supermarket is a grocery store located at the Korea Town Plaza. It's a one stop shop that has a variety of products from vegetables, fruits, meats and much more! There is also a plaza with quick service restaurants inside and a bakery! There is spacious amount of parking available. The prices at Greenland supermarket are decent and there is a wide variety of spices and sauces to choose from. It's one of the main reasons why my family and I stop at the Greenland Supermarket, is because of the selection to choose from! I'd highly recommend Greenland Supermarket if you're in the area at rainbow and spring mountain!
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
A super Asian market. Not just Korean groceries, but a variety of Asian products. The butcher must cut all the parts from a whole carcass. I picked up boneless and skinless chicken legs!?! The whole quarter has been deboned. Definitely a difficult preparation. All at a reasonable price and very fresh. There's so much to discover here, I will have to return!
google avatar

Sooran K.

Yelp
Greenland is my go to Asian mart. Vegas don't have that many banchan place. But Greenland is spot on with certain side dishes. I usually get lotus root, and spicy squid with cucumbers. Today they switched to new side dishes. I got soybean sprout, seasoned green laver, alpine leak and salted codfish(my husband's favorite). Marinated pork butt and fresh vegetables and some childhood snacks. I didn't see the owner grandma today. Wish they had more selection on Keto Allulose Syrup. They only had one brand so I had no choice(happy that I got the last one though). One more item I was looking for was low sugar Gochujang. I'm trying to cut back on sugar so I was sad when they didn't carry that. But at least cashier tried to help. I made full circle on Gochujang aisle and even red pepper powder area..nothing. Although they didn't have it, I'm giving 5 star for the help from the two helpful clerks.

Louie C.

Yelp
I purchased 2 packets of the beef brisket slices. They intentionally folded the fat part in showing only lean meat. Look how much fat I had to cut out. This place is dishonest, everything is over priced and bad quality!
google avatar

Melvin T.

Yelp
Had the Kim Chee soft tofu soup at Gangnam. Was really good. First time since Covid Always had this soup prior to COVID as I visited Las Vegas 4 times per year. Never disappointed as the soup was always so consistently good Wife also enjoys the seafood soup. Will always visit here
google avatar

Yelp
I like to go to Greenland supermarket to get all my Korean essential needs. This location. Also has a great variety of kitchenware. So if you're missing anything or needing something special like a kimchi container or a rice box container, this is the place you'll go to. I didn't even think I needed one but once I saw the rice box, I did purchase one because it's just so useful. This Korean market didn't have some of my essential needed items so I did have to go to another market afterwards. However they are located quite close to Chinatown but far enough so that there's still plenty of parking and not as crazy traffic so if you don't need too many things, then this is the place to go to. I got my essential items such as the flour starches I needed and tofu, Korean zucchini, kimchi, kitchen items, frozen duck, and sesame seeds. They even sell a little food court items in the entrance, which is a good quick snack.
google avatar

Robin G.

Yelp
This store has a great selection of food options. A randomly found the store while looking for a Korean, clay, cooking pot. I got so distracted by all the wonderful food choices that I actually forgot to look for the pot.
google avatar

Allen Y.

Yelp
The prices here for Asian stable items and produce is very pricy. I compared almost everything in the store to SF Market price and Greenland Supermarket runs high on 99% of the items. Furthermore, most of their greens are welted and not fresh. Probably because the price is so high, no body is buying them. With that being said, Greenland is Korean specialty grocer, so if you trying to find that one Korean item, this is probably the place to search. For all other Asian stables, I would go to SF market which is like 2 more miles down spring mountain road.
google avatar

Shivani P.

Yelp
I saw a video on a girl going to this Plaza named koreatown Plaza. And this is the main Asian Korean grocery store. I went to check it out and it was so nice they have a food court full of variety kinds of food. They also have other store like beauty, kitchen, etc inside. The prices are not good or not bad it's somewhat reasonable. But I did like this Asian grocery store it was clean and nice.

Yelp
If you are craving Korean food and snacks, this is the place. It is not just a Korean Supermarket, it is a Korean Mall. Quality/Quantity - Good selection, fairly large for a Korean supermarket - Fresh produce, seafood, meat, deli with huge side-dish selections, large Asian beer/Sake selection, and ramen. Good size food court - Hot Tofu, OK Chicken, Hong Lou, Sakura Sushi, Song's Family, Bibimbap, and a Bakery. Atmosphere - Plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm. Self service water in the food court. Korean Mall. Hot Pot & Korean BBQ Woonam Jung. Rice Cake House. Puppy Town. Food Court. Pharmacy. Chef Kenny's. Hair Sense. Clothing stores with fake designer brands for 1/10th the cost of the real stuff in the fashion store. Jewelry store - Cosmetic jewelry. Massage chair and bed store. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable, especially for Korean groceries. Always be prepared to pay more when shopping or eating Korean food. Owner Suggestion Congrats on all your success. As I write this, it reminds me that I have been here in the past.
google avatar

Yelp
i dont think anyone actually tastes the banchan before packaging them. the radish and cucumber kimchi is consistently bland and has no flavor. do not buy banchan from greenland. there are many banchan stores in vegas. theres even one in the same plaza.
google avatar

Whitney K.

Yelp
For this to be the only large Korean market in Vegas is both surprising and disappointing. Last night my husband and I were searching through the boxes of Peppero looking for one that was not expired or about to expire. Finally found one with a 2023 date and opened it at home to find this. I don't think their products are stored at the correct temperature. If they can't handle cookies/chocolate properly I would be very hesitant to try their meat. We browsed through several other packaged snacks to find many expired as well. For a packaged bag of chips to be expired you know it's been in that store for months! Also noticed some fruit being almost twice the price of what Korean markets in CA sell. All we can do is wait and hope for an H mart soon!
google avatar

Matt Minsub l.

Yelp
--PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU PURCHASE-- I visited Vegas and stopped by this market for rice. It was more expensive than Arizona but I understand the difference in price by states. But what I bought was already 2 months expired. I know there's no regulation on expired product in the country but please be aware of expiration date of any purchase you make here!!!
google avatar

Helen E.

Yelp
Several times I asked for their grilled mackerel from the back, the lady would hand me the fish from the back door of the kitchen. When I get home and try to eat it, it seems like it was 2 days old! I can't wait till H Mart open, so I don't have to shop there anymore lol byeeeeeee
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
I wanted to post specifically about their gejang here! I was craving gejang (marinated raw crab) and was only able to find two places in Vegas that had it - here and Mom's Refrigerator. Decided to try it here and I was not disappointed! The crabs had plenty of taste to it with the chili pepper powder sauce. They do get a little spicy after you eat a lot. It was delicious paired with some white rice and kimchi. The section where the gejang was also had other prepared foods that you can grab if you're lazy to cook for the day.
google avatar

Soo M.

Yelp
If you're looking for mainly Korean foods this place is okay. Meat is not fresh. I will never get any meat from Greenland. Vegetables are hit or miss. The onions here are rotten or look weird inside Basic staples like sauces, sesame oil, rice, ramen Greenland is good for. The prepared side dishes are also hit or miss. I recently got the frozen soy sauce crab (if they have it it's in one of the open freezer bins). Taste was good but absolutely no roe inside and they were all female crabs. It was about $45 and the container had four crabs. Greenland might go out of business when h mart opens. This place needs to step it up
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Best place to get your Korean ingredients. Vegetables are fresh, meats look fresh, the store is clean, and the staff is helpful.
google avatar

Shengchang J.

Yelp
they sell FAKE RICE that taste like plastic when coocked. this place lies to you for a year old rice as New Crop. whether not buying there or find an alternative option.
google avatar

Alan M.

Yelp
Very disappointed how can you call yourself a grocer and no flour no reason to return here go to 168 market and they have better prices and they have flour
google avatar

Steff A.

Yelp
I don't visit Greenland for regular groceries mainly because I don't cook. Here's why I visit 99% of the time... 1) To get my Snacky Chan game on with the Korean and Japanese snacks they offer. I love Greenland Supermarket for this... 2) Load up on Soju for the house 3) Buy Asian soft drinks that reminds me of the awesome Japanese Vending machines I frequented in Tokyo and Osaka Snacks and Chips: I'm a chip guy and their selection feels endless. Boxes are stacked throughout the supermarket and of course you can find them in their designated aisles. Look for the "Honey Butter Chips" and give it a shot...the name says it all. Cookies, candy are inventoried well also. The colorful packaging draws you over to check it out. Soju: The flavor selection is fantastic and my favorite is apple, peach and the classic flavor. Alcohol content is 13% and this clear drink creeps up on you if you're not careful because it's tasty and is easy to drink. You can buy it chilled if you're looking to consume when you get home. Soft Drinks: One of my favorite drinks from the Japanese vending machines was the black cold coffee drinks. They weren't so bitter and had a true dark coffee taste that I haven't found yet locally. I'm a coffee drink guy who's always exploring and Greenland has me covered here. I'll also load up on my Calpico drinks. Wiki describes Calpico best "The beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla flavored yogurt." I enjoy the flavored Calpico drinks as well: Mango, lychee, strawberry and white peach. Greenland supermarket is a legit Asian supermarket complete with fruits, vegetables, produce, etc. It's like an Asian Albertsons and definitely reminds me of grocery stores in Asia. I'm here for the snacks and booze. Whatever your reason may be for visiting Greenland, I think you'll be just fine. Enjoy! =)
google avatar

Tommy D.

Yelp
Greenland is the place to go and get all your Korean ingredients. They have a bakery, food court with a good variety of different food, and a few other retail business located in the supermarket. The prices are reasonable and have good selections on meats. Produce is a hit and miss and you can come across some rotted fruits and veggies so it depends when they get their shipment. They have a variety of soju with different flavors. They do sell ready made food like kimbap and Korean side dishes for a quick grab and go. There are plenty of parking spaces and we always had a pleasant experience every time we shop here.
google avatar

Peace L.

Yelp
This Korean market is a great place to get almost all your asian groceries needs. They also have a few shops and a good food courts as well.
google avatar

Penelope P.

Yelp
I just moved to Las Vegas from LA so I knew that the selection of Asian grocery stores was going to be limited. That being said, I had such hopes for Greenland since I was told that it's the only Korean market in Vegas. I was expecting prices to be higher but not 3 times higher. For example. black sesame seeds that would normally be about $5 was $15. Bulgogi that you would find for about $7 a lb in LA was about $15. A lot of the vegetables looked wilted on their last leg and the banchan selection looked like it's been sitting there for a while. I' m so sad. I think I'll just drive to LA and bring a cooler and stock up next time I'm there. Heard rumors that there is an Hmart coming soon. Looking forward to that happening .
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Plenty of food selections in the market and there's also a food court. Ambiance and pricing is fair. Service is what you would expect from a marketplace. My favorite Korean market.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
I knew the Korean food scene wasn't going to be as good here compared to LA (home of the largest Korean population outside of Korea), but dang, this market b-l-o-w-s. Depressing lighting, not very clean (especially around the produce area), and their store-made stuff (banchan, marinated meats) seriously are AWFUL. Terrible. As in inedible/utter waste of $. Even their bulgogi was gross. Seriously, who screws up bulgogi?? If you're looking to buy banchan, save yourself some $, your taste buds and just go to JP Gold or Samee Side Dishes. I go to Greenland only if and when I can't find that Korean grocery item at International Marketplace or even a Chinese market (the one on Jones & SM). Or if I'm craving stuff from one of the places inside the food court (Hong Lou serves wonderful Korean-Chinese dishes, OK Chicken for fantastic KFC [Korean Fried Chicken] and Island Style 2 for the best galbitang in town). Greenland better step up their game, as rumor has it H Mart will finally be opening a location here.
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
Greenland better watch out. Rumor has it that H Mart is coming to town. This means that they better get their act together or they are going to become iced out. Iceland lol. Greenland is the only Korean supermarket in Las Vegas. No idea what Greenland stands for. Maybe it means green with greed? Being the only Korean market in town, they don't even try to be good. Definitely not a "super" market. You see, on more than one occasion I've seen expired items in the shelves. Some of their refrigerated items don't seem cold enough and I've seen mold on some produce. Also the aisles are narrow and for some reason the lines are always long. The prices are marked up as well. With K-POP and Korean cuisine becoming mainstream, Greenland really doesn't represent Koreans very well in Vegas. You're better off going to 168 Market or Ranch 99. In fact, when you talk to locals they shrug and say there are no other options. The only saving grace with Greenland is not even the market. It's the food court which is separate from the market. I like the Korean-Chinese place in the food court! Having been to Greenland many times, I'm not a fan. Until H Mart comes to town, Koreans can only hope that Costco starts selling more Korean food besides Jongga kimchi, Shin ramen, and Bibigo frozen items. * If you only have 1 or 2 items, the lady at the right of the registers can check you out. But you have to walk all the way around to get to her.

Yelp
Love that they have a food court and bakery They also have small shops in and around the food court that carry some pretty cool stuff. Awesome place!

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite ethnic supermarket in Las Vegas. This market specialized in a large range of Korean products and it is the main anchor store for Korea Town. Plus, they carry various Asian products from other countries. The Produce and Seafood section is fresh and the quality is good. Another section is dedicated to ramen in various flavors and spice levels with a wide selection of brands. We rarely get any issues with customer service but when they get busy the lines can be long but they move in a timely manner. The aisles in the store are reasonably larger than other Asian markets and the store is clean and organized
