Freash out of traffic and both my car and my personal fuel tank were on E. So looking to spend a few shekels. Opted out of the greasy yard bird. I wanted something different. Over to my right I see this spot an let me say, I think I called the right audible. The baklava was soooo good. The combo plate I had was delicious, everything tasted so flavorful. So many different flavors that blended so well together ❤️ 😋. I will let the pictures speak.

I stopped at Greens and Grills. I had heard good things about them and they did not disappoint. I prefer not to cook fish at home so I ordered the salmon. It was well seasoned and paired well with my less than nutritious choice but delicious fries.

I was left very satisfied with their vegan platter and side of dolmas. The only thing that stopped my experience from being 5 star would be a lower pricing for their meat alternative dishes. I did also love the Mediterranean vibe going on.

Went her for lunch, first time eating here. The lady was very friendly. She explained the menu in detail to us . Super helpful. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was cozy. Cute place I definitely recommend this place if you like Mediterranean food or want to try something different

I was here for the first time to celebrate my friend's birthday. They open at 11:00 am and close at 8:00 PM. We were here on a Friday evening and a couple of us came late due to traffic and the owner said we can order until 8 pm as after that the kitchen closes. I ordered the beef shawarma platter, pinnacolada drink, and later on chai latte as well. I really enjoyed everything out here. The food is great, healthy and tasty as well. Customer service is great and it's a small place inside but they do have outdoor seating when it's a nice day weather wise. There's lots of free parking space. Since it was a birthday dinner, banana crepe brule was the dessert that we ended our dinner with. They do have take out service and catering as well.

Hey there, If you are thinking of going to eat at Greens N Grills, please do it. I was looking for a good place that served Middle-Eastern food, and I opted to dine-in here. I am glad I did. I entered the facility, and a customer that was already dining in asked me what's good here, and I responded telling him, ''like you, it's my first time here." A response that put a smile on his face. Next, I reached the order point at the end of the dining area. The man that was on duty said the "Chicken Shawarma Platter" is our #1 seller. I ordered the money maker! It took less than 5 minutes for my order to reach me- a good sign. I enjoyed the food, and I enjoyed my time. The man at the front desk treated me with utmost respect, and he had a smile on his face the entire time. Like I said at the top, come in as you won't regret it. -Frederick

Nice little place to dine on Mediterranean food. They just changed their menu and got rid of the kabobs. They still have the wraps, plates, and shawarma as well as salads and things to drink. Friendly people. Easy parking and right near some banks. I have the chicken shawarma wrap and my partner had the salmon plate. The salmon plate was a little bit too seasoned. Salmon is one of those fish that you really need to taste the flavor of the fish rather than the flavor of the spices, but they'll get the hang of it.

Halal Certified is written on the main entrance. The food was good though. We tried wings and combo platter and wings were so yummy. The person taking orders was kind and friendly and we saw a lady in hijab serving the food. They were also having Iftar with customers.☺️ Enough dining area for family. Parking is available easily.

Stopped by for lunch, while visiting a friend who lives in the area. I like to consider myself a bit of a falafel wrap aficionado and tried the Algerian Falafel Wrap. It was a little different from the typical falafel wrap, with a cheese sauce replacing the traditional yogurt sauce. I thought it was really tasty and well constructed. Restaurant was very clean and service was really good. Im definitely a fan!

Here's the honest truth 2 star for the following: 1. Food and prices= 2 stars. it was pricy at about $20 a plate. Im from LA and kebabs are different in every aspect. Size, flavor and tenderness, which this food had none. It had no flavor and the beef was hard and kebabs were very small. The food took about 20 minutes to come out (I guess it's a norm since the cashier did ask if we wanted to wait) 2. Facility and staff= 4 stars. It's nice and clean. Very well presented and the staff is very nice All in all, I would not come back to this place. The portions are extremely measured and the food did not have taste. I was thinking as I was eating, I thought the kebabs i cooked were bad Judge for yourself, hope you have a different experience

I had the vegan wrap, which was delicious! They say it has "soy curls," I wasn't sure what that meant but it was basically vegan chicken. I had it delivered through a work lunch service and the sauce had spilled out of the wrap when I got it so it was really messy, but still tasty. It also came with a small thing of cilantro sauce on the side, which was also tasty but the wrap was already plenty flavorful without it. Portion size was decent but not huge.

The food was absolutely delicious and tasted authentically prepared, with perfectly balanced flavors. We tried the chicken, steak, and merguez wraps -- all were amazing! I love this place. The amount of times i come here - the hostesses know me by name. Lately though and this is not the fault of the staff whatsoever - this is a comment directly to the owner - i get it prices every where have gone up and sure you can hike up your rates and if people really love the food they will pay for it. But like to cut down on quality isnt going to justify the price hike. Lately with every order quality has been going down and it's not worth it to me anymore. I ordered a side of chicken kebab- attaching the picture --- like whattttt was that? And half of it wasnt cooked which has been my late feedback which is frustrating. Uncooked chicken can make you sick. Hello Items labeled as grilled chicken or grilled fish aren't grilled at all. Im North African and i know what a grilled fish looks and tastes like. Its all rubbery like it was roasted or worse boiled. I think I've reached my limit with this place for now. The hostess has been super sweet with always correcting my stuff and covering things when its not right and I appreciate it.

Ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast Plate for pick up on a Friday night. It was quiet for a Friday night, really clean place. It was a quick pickup and the plate didn't seem like much at first glance. When I got it home I was starving and the plate was still nice and warm. The chicken seasoned so well! Everything on the plate was amazing! The hummus was perfect, the dressing on the salad was great even the rice had great seasoning. What I loved the most was that it all tasted good together and on its own. Definitely a go to Mediterranean place from now on. The only reason I rate it a 4/5 is the price, for one chicken and rice plate I paid $19 out the door. I can't justify that even if it was so good.

I ordered the new York steak and salad, I thought that the meat had a nice element of char flavor that somehow really worked, it was delicious. My friend ordered the grilled chicken and salad. We split an order of baklava, you can never go wrong with this dessert, the texture is amazing. The service was fantastic, there was one lady working there who was really pleasant and I left feeling that the world was a better place purely because of her.

I wish I came across this gem in Union City sooner! The food was freshly made and so delicious and flavorful. Prices are pretty reasonable for how filling the food is in my opinion. My mom and I tried the mango habanero wings, algerian steak wrap, lamb shawarma platter, and iced thai tea. The mango habanero wings reminded me of the ones from wingstop. Came out piping hot & had the sweet n spicy flavor I was looking for. Their algerian steak wrap was juicy and flavorful. It even comes with fries inside! The lamb shawarma platter was my favorite item we tried. It came with well seasoned lamb, fragrant rice, soft pita & hummus, and delicious garlic toum + harissa hot sauce. So delicious and balanced! We met the owner Samy and he was very kind & great with recommendations. The place is pretty small but still has a good amount of seating. I will return in the future!

I didn't have any expectations for this place and it's so good!!! We had chicken, real, Tex mex, falafel and bucket pesto sandwich, wrap and salad. Everything was so flavorful! Meat wasn't dry or tough at all. Everyone was really satisfied with their meals. Very filling. I wish it came with a side of sauce/yogurt or something otherwise ordering was easy. Service was great. Food was Al really good us by the time we came to pick it up. Plenty of seats. It wasn't too packed when we arrived. Parking can get busy during lunch.

Totally unassuming place in a strip mall. The menu looked intriguing (Algerian merguez sausages? That's different!) so we stopped in. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They have canned and bottled drinks in a cooler, and also others which they make behind the counter. The Merguez Panini was great. Bread was nice and crispy, and the sausage was delicious. The Algerian Falafel Wrap was also good. I'm not sure, but I think there were french fries in the wrap (does that make it "Algerian?" Not sure). The cilantro sauce that came with the wrap was very good. We also got a side of fries, and they had a nice seasoning on them. Would like to come back another time to try some other dishes. I was very pleased with this visit.

Menu is not kids-friendly Food: my friends Shameem, Ratika, Narin and Zulaika and I went here for an early dinner. I am a vegetarian and I had enough options to choose from. I ordered Falafels, my friends ordered chicken shawarma, texmex panini, tilapia plate with rice and salad. Food tasted fresh and delicious. This place is definitely worth a try. We might go back to try few more of their dishes.

We were looking for some good after studying food and happened upon this place! The inside is very cozy and the staff is really kind and welcoming. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate which we both agreed was extremely good! The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, hummus was on point, salad was really good too! We were both satisfied with our meals and will definitely come back and try their crepes! If you're looking for delicious mediterranean food this is the place to go!

We went here after looking at all the reviews and I wasn't so sure after we stepped into the restaurant. Truly pleasantly surprised by this uneventful looking place! What delicious food!!! We ordered a soy protein plate, falafel panini and a veggie burger. Everything was so flavorful! They also have a green sauce and a red sauce that doesn't come with the food by default. You have to ask for it. And please do ask for it!! The green sauce is BOMB! I'd go back only for the green sauce even if the food wasn't great as it was. The plate portion was quite big considering the price. There's not much to the ambiance. They DO NOT have a washroom. But none of that is going to stop us from going here again. So glad to have discovered this place!

My first impression when I walked in, I was so impressed by the interior and how nicely decorated it was. The cashier who took my order was so friendly and made me feel welcomed. The food was so flavorful and delicious, I'm so glad I got the chicken shawarma platter. Next time I want to order the chicken pesto panini. The cheeseburger tasted like if I was at a bbq, just so delicious and you can tell their food is made with so much love. I'm glad I live pretty close to this place. I also got $5 off for checking in on Yelp!!!

I came in from out of town and got hungry decided to give this place a try. The food was amazing I had to buy seconds. The customer was also amazing Isabela helped me decide what to get since I've never been in. If she is not a manger i highly recommend management to put her in management. I will definitely come back when I'm back in town.

Tried this place before during a Yelp event and since then we tried this place out now and then. Like their paninis and wraps, they are quick with service, ambiance is calm and nice. I will walk into this place anytime, it's more like comfort place.

The chicken was dry and burnt. The fries overly seasoned. Baklava was old. The panini bread was good. Unfortunately, I would not recommend and would've been happier with Nick the Greek.

This is the go-to lunch spot for delicious food that is convenient, pretty quick, and close to work. The staff are super nice. There are enough tables to accommodate the lunch crowd and lots of people picking up to-go orders mid-day. My personal favorite is the chicken shawarma plate with extra garlic sauce and the green hot sauce - so good! I have tried several items on the menu and they are all good. When I am meeting someone for lunch I usually suggest we meet at Greens n Grills because everyone loves it there. Also, they have a little tablet at the register where you can enter your phone number to get rewards points. I recently hit $150 total spent and got a $5 off reward which was a nice little bonus.

This plaza has been dead for over a decade and restaurants like this is what's needed to revive it. I was bummed to see it quite empty on a lunch rush because it was a really good. We dined inside and the restaurant was nice and clean. Food arrived promptly after ordering and was fresh. We ordered the lamb shawarma just so we could compare it to a bigger chain like Kebab Shop and we loved it. It had all the right flavors and tasted authentic. There really isn't a lot of good mediterranean options within 5-10 mins away usually and this spot has now solidified that craving for me. Would definitely be coming back because the other menu items look delicious.

Regular customer here, I just love how fresh the food is. My favorite the grilled chicken plate but felt like something new today and Liz the cashier definitely knew Chipotle burger was just what I needed. Definitely a must try! The staff the food really great place.

Came here with my best friend one night. It's a pretty quiet place with good food and nice service. I ordered a chicken sherwarma plate, a side of fries and a mint lemonade which all tasted fresh and made to order. You order and they bring your food over to your table once ready. everything on the menu sounded good so I'll likely be back to try their other options.

The food is great (this is my second time here) but the service is not. We ordered to-go (in-person) on a Friday night at 6:50pm it took 36 minutes for the food to come out. Really disappointing. I saw them pack my order and had to wait another few minutes for them to check my receipt. Sadly I won't be coming back here again, unless they improve their food service.

The owner, Sammy(originally from Algeria) shares his delicious dishes from his travels and experiences. I highly recommend their Chicken shawarma wrap with choice of French fries or salad. Another popular item is their Chicken shawarma salad, which features their seasoned grilled chicken over greens, humus, tomatoes, and cucumbers! They also feature a "dirty" chai tea, which is an Indian chai tea with a shot of espresso!

It is a pretty small restaurant, but they fit quite a few tables inside. It has a pretty nice, cozy and homey type feel to it. Since I've been thinking about this place for awhile I told him what I wanted and he suggested I try the Algerian version of the wrap, so of course that's what I did. I did end up trying a regular wrap and he said that was a good idea so I can check out the difference between the two. The wait wasn't too bad at all either and there were a few people in front of me along with pick up orders. I love how they write down what order is what on the container so we don't have to guess who ordered what. The Algerian lamb wrap was delicious! The regular falafel wrap was pretty good, maybe a little dry, but still great. The ground beef Algerian wraps were great as well. Ultimately we're voting for the Algerian versions. The difference is that it has this cheesy sauce which is delicious and fries inside. The fries are just okay. Nothing different about them really. My only thing is I don't notice the difference between a taco and a wrap. They look the same. We will definitely be back! Their menu is pretty large, so I wonder how others taste.

I came here for the first time Wednesday and it definitely won't be my last! Greens N Grills is a true gem. I came here not really knowing what to expect. Their menu is big and everything sounds so good! I was most intrigued by the Algerian wraps. I got the Algerian Lamb wrap and was so blown away by it that I got an Algerian Beef Wrap right after! I think the wrap had garlic aioli Tzatziki sauce or something like it. It brought a wealth of flavor to the wrap. I ordered it with fries not knowing the Algerian wrap had fries inside of it, it's a very pleasant surprised because I love french fries haha. The quality of the meat was good, the sauce was spectacular, and the wrap was toasted just right to give of that light crunch. Definitely found a new spot to go to. Will be coming back to try their Algerian Mergeuz Wrap! And their Shawarmas too!!

Super clean restaurent that serves breakfast till late! Our usual place was closed (we woke up late!) so a quick Yelp search brought us here. We ordered the chicken pesto omelet, banana Nutella crepe and two eggs with the spicy sausage. The omelet was superb and so were the fries that came with it. The spicy sausage was something we couldn't bring ourselves to like and the owner quickly rectified the situation by offering us a short stack of pancakes instead. The banana crepe was delish, and the coffee and cappuccino here deserve a special mention. I'm so looking forward to going back for that chicken pesto omelet!

I highly recommend this establishment especially if looking for real, fresh, healthy, tasty food. I got the chicken breast plate to go. The flavors and taste were well above my expectations. The chicken was marinated seasoned and grilled to perfection (not dry at all). The rice was perfectly cooked. Now let's talk about the hummus, spicy sauce, and garlic yogurt sauce... Mmmm So good! They were the perfect additions to add on some additional flavors which honestly was not needed but very appreciated. The plate comes with chicken breast, yellow rice, salad, hummus and pita bread. Well worth the price. I'd actually gladly pay 25 for this plate. Also, I ate approximately half and my 2 teenagers demolished what was left and asked to eat here next time we eat out. I will definitely be returning... Sooner than later lol.

What a pleasant surprise & thanks to the other Yelpers that sent me here! We ordered across the menu: Falafel, Beef & Chicken Shawarma, salads - all of it was tasty and fresh. The platters are excellent, and we sent the plates back empty. Very friendly service - the gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area - and you need to eat healthy!

The grub is good... Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in the area. Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for this type of food while in the Newark, Union City area

Yes, I live in Millbrae, but I genuinely believe that true foodies will make a pleasant effort for a good food place, and that's what we do. We heard about this place on social media and finally drove to the east bay to try it out. As soon as you walk in, you will receive a welcome smile and kind gesture. I really want to try some of my favorites.! I ordered a chicken shawarma plate which was a pretty big serving. This plate came with salad, hummus and chicken shawarma, and bread. My friend ordered soup and bread, but once she tasted Hummus, she ordered it for herself. Her lentil soup was very yummy and came with bread. I ordered my favorite chicken shawarma, which has a flavor of rice, salad, and Hummus. I also ordered Taziki (yogurt dip) with Harissa. Each bite was full of texture and perfectly marinated. My friends had lamb wrap and a Beef Shawarma plate. Everyone enjoys the food and yummy tea. Their manager Samy was very kind and attentive, and he kept asking us if everything was ok. Also, he shared one green chatni, which is hard not to finish. Highly recommended it and looking forward to going back to try other stuff from the menu.

The food is great and I've been searching for Mediterranean food similar to what they offer here but I've yet to find a place. As though the food is excellent the service is alright and when placing an order through UberEats I had to wait 40+ minutes for my food as the printer had not been working. The ambience is calming and enjoyable to be in. Yet another downside would be the price of the food in relation to portion, with the picture of the food I had gotten I had order additional side of meat and pita. I would come back occasionally but considering every other factor it would not be my first choice.

I'm still craving the delicious Algerian shawarmas I had at Greens N Grills! This is a lovely halal Mediterranean restaurant to visit in the East Bay. The owners are the sweetest couple who were very friendly and welcoming. I loved the art work on the falls featuring different Muslim countries around the world, including Palestine, Türkiye, Syria, and more. The restaurant is also very close to a few masjids in Fremont. While the Algerian shawarma was my favorite, I also suggest trying their chicken shawarma plate, pesto chicken panini, Algiers spicy wings, and Algiers merguez platter. If you want authentic Algerian food in California, this is the place to go!

Over the last year the quality of the food has gone down, super oily and salty now. The service is low class. Orders are delayed even when it is not busy because the kitchen staff is goofing off.

My Mom loves this place until when they took out the red and green sauce which you have to pay now extra for $.95 each. They should give you at least a small portion then if the customer needs more then that's when they have to pay extra. Also, the last time we ate there, my mom went to the cashier to ask or buy the extra sauce but she was inside the kitchen and my mom said hello to get her attention, the staff looked at her and one of the chefs did the same thing as well but never came out. What a bad service.
