Dear Greggs Management / Head Office,
I am a local customer who lives and works nearby, and I wanted to share some honest feedback.
I have always loved Greggs and remain a big fan of what you do. I understand that food is not held hot, and while that can sometimes be disappointing, I appreciate the reasons behind this and accept it.
However, over the past few months, I have noticed something that I feel is important to raise. Each time I visit this particular store, there is an uncomfortable atmosphere. There appears to be tension between staff, management, and security, and this creates a negative energy that is noticeable to customers while queuing or ordering.
Unfortunately, the overall impression is that staff do not enjoy working there or do not want to serve customers. There is rarely a “please” or “thank you,” and the experience can feel unwelcoming. This is not aimed at any individual, but rather the general environment and tone of the store.
I am not seeking any response or compensation. My intention is simply to share the customer experience as it feels from the outside. I believe the store would really benefit from strong leadership — not just management, but a positive leader who motivates the team, sets the tone, and creates a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and customers, especially first thing in the morning.
I hope this feedback is received in the constructive way it is intended. I genuinely love Greggs, what you stand for, and what you offer, and I hope that small changes could help improve the experience at this location
