In a cozy taverna adorned with red-checkered tablecloths and seaside decor, Gregory’s serves stellar traditional Greek dishes, including fresh seafood and grilled meats, all with a side of warm hospitality.
"Another great Greek option in the neighborhood is Gregory’s Corner Taverna on 23rd Avenue. They have their typical red-checkered tablecloth outdoor seating available every day for lunch and dinner. If you need some guidance with the large menu, just stick to any grilled seafood or meat that briefly distracts you from the happenings of the world." - hannah albertine
"Gregory’s Corner Taverna both looks and feels like a little house in the Greek countryside. There are paintings of Greece on the walls, the tables have red-checkered tablecloths, and there’s a lighting fixture made from the steering wheel of a boat. The food is very good in a home-cooked sort of way, and you should definitely be eating some kind of grilled meat and/or seafood here." - bryan kim, neha talreja, sonal shah
"We like Gregory’s 26 Corner Taverna for several reasons. It’s where you’ll find some of the best Greek food in the city, and it also looks like a small house you’d find within walking distance of the Mediterranean. It’s filled with model ships and paintings of coastal scenes, the service is friendly, and when you ask what kind of wine they have, you’ll probably get a response like, “Red and white.” It’s a charming spot with very good seafood, souvlaki, and lemon potatoes." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren
"Part of the reason why we like Gregory’s is because it feels like the home of someone who’s been to Greece many times and always brings back at least seven souvenirs. It’s a small space, decorated with seashells, flags, model boats, and various paintings of seaside scenes on what appear to be Greek islands. And the other reason why we like this place is for the delicious, straightforward food. The calamari and octopus are especially good here—but if you just want one thing, order some shawarma with lemon potatoes." - Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim, Neha Talreja, Carina Finn Koeppicus
"Judge a book by its cover and miss the rustic pleasures found within this old-time Greek retreat." - The MICHELIN Guide
