Beautiful view, forgettable meal!
The restaurant benefits from a lovely setting and visually appealing dishes, but the overall execution falls noticeably short of what it aims to be.
Food:My octopus was surprisingly tough, and my friend’s salmon arrived overcooked. The plates looked refined, but the cooking did not match the presentation.
Drinks:The biggest disappointment was the gin & tonic. It arrived in a plain, cafeteria-style tall glass, with no choice of gin offered and no garnish at all. The gin had already been poured into the glass, and the tonic was simply placed beside it. The result felt more like a basic self-service drink than something from a restaurant positioning itself as premium.
Bread:When I asked for bread, I was told, “It’s usually not requested, so I should inform you it’s not fresh.”
This kind of comment speaks for itself and is not something one expects at a restaurant presenting itself at a high level.
Wine:The bottle we ordered had approximately a six-times markup compared to retail something that could be justified only with flawless service. Instead, the cork was broken during opening and the bottle was still served without offering a replacement. This does not meet professional standards.
Service:While polite, the service felt inattentive, reinforcing the impression that the restaurant relies more on its setting than on delivering consistent quality.
Overall:A beautiful view cannot compensate for the shortcomings in food, drinks, and service. In the end, the only truly enjoyable part of the evening was seeing my friends sitting across the table; everything else was, unfortunately, forgettable.
