"For starters, the location right on the square known by locals as "Stachus" is nothing short of exclusive. GRETA OTO is housed within the luxurious and contemporary new Königshof hotel, on the ninth floor to be precise, affording fantastic views of the city of Munich and the Frauenkirche. The restaurant is no less chic and sophisticated than the hotel itself. Calm warm hues and dimmed lighting create an intimate atmosphere. The cuisine is Latin American with modern international influences, from Peruvian ceviche to Brazilian fillet steak and grilled octopus. The wine list to accompany the food is international. Tip: They have a private table – "La Mesa" – that you can book for special occasions. There is also a bar and a lounge terrace." - Michelin Inspector

A restaurant with potential: new, great city views and an interesting concept. Despite a reservation made over a month in advance, we were first placed in an uncomfortable corner and later moved again with a time limit. The lighting is insufficient and the menu text extremely small — reading was only possible after asking for additional lamps. The restaurant accepts card payments only, but this is not communicated when guests are seated. It is only mentioned when the bill is brought and guests are asked how they would like to pay — which ultimately led to the conflict. The manager approached us without greeting or introducing himself, raised his voice, placed the bill and menu on the table, pointed at them and tapped with his finger, aggressively repeating that only card payments were accepted, without attempting to resolve the situation. We never refused to pay — the waiter had simply stepped away to change a €200 note for a €160 bill. The situation was ultimately resolved professionally by the waiter alone. No apology followed. This kind of management and communication leaves a very negative impression and overshadows what could otherwise be an interesting restaurant. At the moment, it feels like a one-time visit rather than a place to return to. In a city like Munich, where reputation matters, this is hard to understand.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A stunning rooftop experience above Munich! Greta Oto is truly one of Munich’s most impressive dining spots — a perfect mix of vibrant Mexican flavors, elegant design, and breathtaking views over the city’s rooftops. The atmosphere is chic yet relaxed, making it ideal for both a romantic dinner or a stylish evening out with friends. The food is exceptional — authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern twist. Every dish bursts with flavor, freshness, and creativity, from perfectly seasoned tacos to the most delicious ceviche and guacamole. The cocktails are equally amazing — expertly mixed, colorful, and full of character. What makes Greta Oto truly special is the combination of its rooftop setting, warm hospitality, and culinary excellence. Watching the sunset over Munich while enjoying a margarita is simply unforgettable. A must-visit in Munich — world-class food, great atmosphere, and an incredible view. Viva Greta Oto!

I have to give 5 stars. I had no issues with entering, no issues with any service personal. Everyone were pleasant. I ordered a drink, which wasn’t available, that is fine, things happen. Bartender offered another drink which I really liked. The portions are small, but I have to assure you the taste and quantity of alcohol was really good. Price is a bit expensive for Munich. But for the quality of service and friend bartenders, for me it is fine. Bartender is amazing, made some nice cocktails. I also tried their special drink from their Manager, that drink was really good as well. Taking into account that I have been in more expensive places. This place is great, not for every day, but for a decent date is perfect. View is nice, nothing special. Overall 5/5, nothing to complain, only good words.

A very pretty place for some drinks. Great options avaible with experimental ingredients. Prices of 20 euro plus put this at the very expensive end of bars. Music was perhaps a little too loud to be enjoyable.

Incredible food! Amazing service. Loved it all. A little annoying that we hadn’t even finished our food and we were told to move elsewhere as our time was up at that table even though food had taken forever to come. Which is fine we were chatting but there wasn’t even time to get a desert. & I’m pretty sure that when booking we hadn’t been told you have a limited time at the table. Anyway the food and drinks were incredible and we moved to the terrace after and it was luckily nice out and nice vibes.

Easy parking in the hotel’s garage. The restaurant and bar is on the 9th floor. For the restaurant reservation is highly recommended. We really liked the food, a much welcomed change from the heavy Bavarian cuisine and the nice view was a plus, we were seated right next to the window. The service in the restaurant and later in the bar was equally and remarkably slow. Every time we go it’s the same issue, I wish they improved on it because otherwise it’s a good place.

Interesting concept with priceless views of Munich. The tossed beef tartar was a full 10/10. Also, special mention to the desserts. The marisco cocktail is borderline a waste of money - I personally found it the quality-price ratio unbalanced. Also, the ribs were pretty decent - the softness of the meat was something to acknowledge. In terms of service, the waiter was really attentive. Basically, the prices (which yes, the estimation of 100€ per person is accurate) are more justified because of the location and its views rather than the food, per se.

Tried Dinner, drinks and breakfast here. While it’s not perfect we enjoyed the flavors of dinner and array at breakfast. The South American dinner was pre red very well and delicious flavors. Overall dinner was a little expensive but great food. Drinks on the balcony were excellent with nice views. Breakfast was very good with mix of buffet and ordering from menu. Good service and wide selection. Again a little expensive but worth it.
