Global influences add invention to the Thai menu of this stylish spot with hip musical back-beat.
"If you’ve made the rookie error of being out and about in central, Birkenstocks and all, without checking in with the Met Office, then let Greyhound provide you with shelter and sustenance. The enormous terrace at this slick Thai café is a great spot for some ribeye satay or a plate of fiery tuna larb." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Pad Thai and a pint is as common as pork scratchings these days, but Greyhound Cafe is something different. Firstly it’s not a pub. Secondly it serves some really superb Thai food. And thirdly, it’s a bit mental. This is a place you’ll love or loathe or, like us, love bits and loathe bits. Most of the food is great but you may question the straight-out-of-a-fashion-blog-ness of the whole thing. Because of this, it’s definitely a place that will make you look like you’ve got some sort of intel. Either the food and atmosphere is enjoyed and it’s happy days, or you’re called up on suggesting a place that serves bread and dips for desserts, and then it’s Happy Toast." - jake missing
"You need somewhere that is big enough and trendy enough to hold all your BHE (Big Haircut Energy). Greyhound Cafe is that place. Everything about this Fitzrovia spot is capital F Fashion. The menu looks a bit like a food-focused issue of ID, the service is as aloof as a model that’s just been booked by McQueen, and the crowd is generally very good looking. Basically, this is the perfect place to debut your new look. Think of it as your own personal catwalk with some good Thai food thrown in. Get the tataki tuna larb." - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Rianne Shlebak
"Your favourite human on the planet lives in Clapham. But, you’re also the kind of person that says things like ‘I’d rather face off with Cujo than go south of the river’. To each their own. But don’t fear, Greyhound Cafe in Fitzrovia is a great spot for a serious catch up and, geographically, suits you both. Greyhound Cafe serves a huge variety of Thai street-food. You could easily share the German-style pork knuckle with curry paste and sticky rice, or perhaps the rib-eye satay if you’re feeling a little less brave. Once you’ve chatted your way through dinner, we recommend moving onto the cocktail list, starting with the Manhattan Mama." - heidi lauth beasley
"When you ironically - totally ironically - read your horoscope last week, it said that you’ll face some life-altering challenges in the coming days that would both change you to your core and cause you to grow. Clearly, this two hour wait for your four-person table at Circolo was what they were talking about. As the new bold and patient you, head for the bar at Greyhound Cafe. It’s a sleek, grown-up situation with strong cocktails inside a Thai restaurant that feels very fashionable and also a bit silly. And if you’re going to have a little something to eat here, we’d recommend the rib eye satay and tataki tuna laab from the small plates section." - heidi lauth beasley
