"Greyhound Cafe is clearly a restaurant that’s very concerned with its own looks. Once you get past the lookbook-style menu and sometimes diva-like service, there are some extremely solid plates of Thai food to eat here. The street-style duck noodle soup is a spiced winter warmer, and the ribeye satay is seriously tasty. Clearly, this two hour wait for your four-person table at Circolo was what they were talking about. As the new bold and patient you, head for the bar at Greyhound Cafe. It’s a sleek, grown-up situation with strong cocktails inside a Thai restaurant that feels very fashionable and also a bit silly. But don’t fear, Greyhound Cafe in Fitzrovia is a great spot for a serious catch up and, geographically, suits you both. Greyhound Cafe serves a huge variety of Thai street-food. You could easily share the German-style pork knuckle with curry paste and sticky rice, or perhaps the rib-eye satay if you’re feeling a little less brave. "Pad Thai and a pint is as common as pork scratchings these days, but Greyhound Cafe is something different. Firstly it’s not a pub. Secondly it serves some really superb Thai food. And thirdly, it’s a bit mental. This is a place you’ll love or loathe or, like us, love bits and loathe bits. Most of the food is great but you may question the straight-out-of-a-fashion-blog-ness of the whole thing. Because of this, it’s definitely a place that will make you look like you’ve got some sort of intel. Either the food and atmosphere is enjoyed and it’s happy days, or you’re called up on suggesting a place that serves bread and dips for desserts, and then it’s Happy Toast." - jake missing
"If you’ve made the rookie error of being out and about in central, Birkenstocks and all, without checking in with the Met Office, then let Greyhound provide you with shelter and sustenance.
