The Rooftop Barbie Brunch Your Halloween Needs | Eater Nashville

"At the Factory in Franklin I can visit Greys Fine Cheeses’ third location, which offers cut-to-order artisanal cheeses and dine-in options like sandwiches and salads made with some of the shop’s unique offerings; Greys also currently operates another location at Sylvan Supply in Nashville. To kick off the opening week they’re hosting a wine-and-cheese pairing class on Tuesday, October 24 from 6 to 8 p.m., where attendees learn basic pairing principles while sampling two wines and up to five cheeses (cost $55)." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

My wife and I dropped in on an impulse while walking around The Factory on a Saturday night. We had a great time. Tucker was knowledgeable about the wine and cheese pairing for the wine and cheese flight. Or at least I think. I love a good glass of red, but I'm not an aficionado by any stretch. We plan to go back. $20 for 3oz of cheese and 6oz of wine and a relaxing experience is worth it.

Great option for lunch and excellent cheeses. I got to try some cheese which was excellent and I thought their sandwich was pretty good as well. It was the turkey sandwich which had an onion jam in it. I think the sandwich might do better on a different kind of bread (this was white bread), but I had already been eating so much food that it felt a bit lighter.

Franklin, TN. Reminiscent of the Cheese Course restaurant in South Florida, this restaurant is where to go for the best ingredients for your charcuterie boards plus dine on European and South American dishes in an elegant shop. My friends and I loved their sandwiches and soups. It’s quite bougie.

I went there tonight with a couple of friends specifically for the wine and cheese pairing tasting. I’ve been to many tastings locally and from CA, NY, to Italy. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed in the service, food, and overall experience at Greys. This is the first time I’ve been presented with wine selections that were not marked so it was not easy to remember the wines in each glass. No information other than the names and origins of the wines was offered. Usually you learn a bit about out the grapes, regions, and flavor profiles of the wines you are tasting. We asked about the cheese and were told to go ahead and taste the wines and the cheese would come out later. We waited for the cheese thinking that there might be crackers included to have between the wine tastings. No crackers, but the cheeses were good. I ordered the grilled cheese deluxe thinking that it would be full of creamy, gooey, melted cheese because after all we were in a cheese store. This was the saddest grilled cheese I’ve ever had. The bread was toasted not grilled and there were only 2 very thin slices of cheese separated by sliced tomatoes and some basil pesto on the sandwich. I honestly could not even taste the cheese and could barely see it when I pulled the toasted bread apart looking for it. I did not open the bag of chips and left the other half of the sandwich on the plate. I told the server that the sandwich was disappointing. She didn’t have much of a response to my comment. She didn’t offer to remake the other half or have anyone come speak to us. I noticed that my friends only ate 1/2 or less of their sandwiches too. They were also disappointed in the lack of information and labeling of the cheeses and wines we tasted. I paid for my meal- a reduction in the ticket wasn’t offered. I took the other half home and added more cheese and grilled it for my son’s dinner. The Factory has lots of great dining options with more opening soon. Grey’s needs to step it up with better service, better food, and a more informative enjoyable wine tasting experience if they want repeat customers.

We have done several evening classes at Greys in Franklin that have just been fantastic. Tucker has done both and makes classes fun, educational and entertaining. Can't say enough about his knowledge of cheeses and wine. The cheeses we have been introduced to through Greys have really raised the bar.

Pistacchiosa, 😂😂😂. Honestly, this line of spreads were all great. Ended up going home with a jar of each and some other stuff. Great experience. Rally going to have to come in for the meal some time.

Great Cuban here, with excellent bread also. I’m down in South FL a lot, and this Cuban would rival anything you can get down there!

Yelp
Grey's has the potential to become my favorite local shop. I could spend some serious cash here. From the cheese selection to the incredible service ... not to mention the fun location inside the Factory at Franklin ... I am already plotting my return ASAP. I stopped in on a weekday afternoon and had a truly memorable experience. The cheesemonger working at the counter was knowledgable and friendly, offering great suggestions based on my cheese preferences. He was able to answer every question I had, and even offered me samples of a few different varieties (all of which I ended up purchasing). My top find from this visit was the Clothbound Cabot. This was already one of my favorite cheesemakers, but I loved being introduced to something a little different that I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. Big thanks to the team at Grey's - I can't wait to come back and stock up on some more cheese soon!

Yelp
Looking for a quick shareable snack. My wife lives cheese so we decided to stop. Let's start with service. We walked in to a quick but warm and very friendly greeting. The 2 ladies that helped us were super friendly. Gave us a couple menus and tails us about a couple specials they had. We decided on a simple small plate. Took 5-7 minutes. What they brought was true small plate with great presentation. Olive tapenade, bruschetta, fresh mozzarella, and warm lightly crisp flat bread. Garnished with a fresh basil sprig and an olive oil drizzle. One of the great things we witnessed was the excitement. Multiple people came and went while we were there. Each person got a warm greeting. The young lady also got excited to share knowledge about cheese with any that asked. Great place to stop and get some cheese and a snack while at the Factory!

Yelp
Back for more. Same high quality. They are now applying a credit card surcharge of 3%. Should let you know before they add to check, otherwise same great cheese, wine and service.

Yelp
We tried a cheese board and it was delicious. Knowledgeable friendly staff made the experience that much better.

Yelp
Awesome service and fine cheeses. Nice addition to The Factory. The staff is always very helpful in guiding our selections.

Yelp
This is an AMAZING local place. I love the charcuterie, and they are very gracious about subbing when needed. The staff are warm, helpful, and on top of it. They also have lots of unique cheeses, and both a bar top and tables. This is peak Franklin! When I saw there was only one review, I made sure to share our experiences on here, because it's been nothing but positive! Thank you guys- we are so glad you're here in Franklin. It's become one of my new favorite places.

Yelp
Awesome place! Great sandwiches and charcuterie. We've come several times and have really enjoyed it

Yelp
This was my second time here and it is quickly becoming a favorite. The Stuffed Burrata was wonderful and I appreciated them substituting lamb pepperoni for me instead of the prosciutto. The service is friendly and the waiters knowledgeable about the cheeses, meats and wines. A relaxing spot for charcuterie and wine flights.

Yelp
In response to the person who wrote the one star review: Grey's Fine Cheese is one of my favorite places in all of existence. I know they are just getting started in Franklin, but I beg you to give them another chance. My husband and I are regulars at the Memphis location. He and I are the forgettable/wallflower type. Every time we go in there, we are given the VIP experience. They truly treat everyone as family. They are so down to earth and they remember their customers. It sounds silly, but they absolutely make cheese approachable. It's very easily something that could become stuffy, but they tell you which ones you can eat the rind on and how to pair this with that, etc. I told them I didn't like sheep cheese, so they gave me one that was different they thought I would like. Also, I'd like to point out, this is WAY more than a cheese store. Go in for a meal. I know it doesn't sound like a lot of food, but it's PLENTY. So, dear one star reviewer... the cheese community implores you to return. We welcome you back with open arms. P.S. I hope you have the chance to meet Kurt sometime. He and his wife are the ones who made Grey's a reality. He's a really cool kid with long hair and tattoos.

Yelp
I was excited to try a new local cheese shop. I went in on Monday afternoon (11/6) and started looking at the case. The young lady working stayed behind the register and didn't offer to help. No one else was in the shop. I had to walk up to her to get her attention. I asked for a particular kind of cheese, which she said they didn't have. She didn't offer to suggest anything else similar and didn't offer any samples of what they had. She didn't seem particularly interested in helping at all. I really can't understand why a new business would be so disinterested in being helpful. They lost a potential new customer.
