We really enjoy independent restaurants, and had heard great things about Greystones, so headed over to Orangeville.
It would seem they renovated and added to an old stone building, and the result is very impressive.
Quite attractive from all angles.
We were seated in the main dining area, along the wall at a large window.
So we had a nice view, and there is quite a garden outside with lavender plants.
So we were able to watch bees flitter about and pollinate while we ate.
The atmosphere is very comfortable, and the various rooms are tastefully decorated.
Our server, Michael Stafford, was exceptional, patiently explaining various dishes to us and the origins of the ingredients.
It was apparent quickly that he was a committed ‘foodie’.
On his advice we split a Greek Salad to start, and then we both had pasta dishes, mine with beef tenderloin, and my wife’s with salmon.
All of the dishes were excellently prepared and delicious.
They have a team approach to service, and all of our needs were well met.
The washrooms are almost elegant and very clean.
The price point is what you would expect of a restaurant of this pedigree.
So nothing at all critical to say.
Just a wonderful experience, and we would love to come back.
