Found this place through Hop Passport and am so glad I did. Great experience, incredibly friendly and helpful bartender, and fantastic drinks. Absolutely worth visiting.

Best cocktails in Sonoma county. I can't even tell you which cocktails to get bc they are always rotating based on what's seasonal, etc. But what I can say is that they're cocktails are delicious and well balanced. Highly recommend.

I've thrown a 10th anniversary party here, and it was fantastic. Couldn't recommend a better site. However, I'd like to comment on their everyday experience: 1. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing, and the bartenders are fantastic people: knowledgeable, friendly, cool. 2. The hard alcohol is really excellent, and they have a wide variety of bitters, syrups, and so on. 3. They change up the cocktails constantly, but also always offer the basics and will make something for you on request if you ask. Honestly, just an excellent way to spend an afternoon. And then you buy a bottle or two for later.

Nice distillery in Petaluma! Laid back ambiance with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating as well as bar seating. You can opt to do a spirits tasting or cocktails or both! Their whiskey is quite tasty & easy to drink. They offer a variety of cocktails as well & update their menu so you have a chance to try different cocktails each time! The service is friendly & they bring the drinks out to you fairly quickly. They offer food options through outside vendors so you don't have to worry about going hungry here! Definitely a nice spot to hang out with friends & large groups!

Did a tasting here the other day. It was hella fun but ngl, I gotta a little too lit. The pours for the tasting are fairly heavy so watch out! Of everything I tasted, the espresso whiskey was my favorite. It Fr tasted like a mocha.

Stopped by here yesterday and really enjoyed it. We had a delicious cocktail and then went on a tour and did a tasting. All of the spirits were fantastic but my favorite was the vodka and cold brew. Highly recommend the cold brew. Strong coffee flavor with a perfect amount of sweetness. The tour was very informative and fascinating to learn about the modifications the owner has made to the equipment. If you're in the area visiting Lagunitas this place is walking distance away and shouldn't be overlooked.

The service was great and the whiskey's are on point. Kyle was the bar tender when we arrived and was very knowledgeable about the spirits and cocktails. I ordered a flight and enjoyed the event room which was stocked with barrels. They had good music playing and the breeze was nice while sitting on the couches. Would highly recommend stopping in. Special event on Fathers Day as well! Check it out!

Drinks and chill is given a whole new meaning when drinking the cocktails and spirits being offered at Griffo Distillery. Located in an industrial area in northern Petaluma along Scott Street mere blocks from the main artery that is North McDowell Street, Griffo Distillery was founded by married duo Michael and Jenny, who took their passion for entrepreneurship and dream to work together into their own hands with their very own distillery, which officially set up shop here in Petaluma in 2015. Fifteen years from creation and eight years from establishment, Griffo Distillery is serving up some of the finest crafted and bottled gins, whiskeys, vodkas, and even coffee flavored liqueurs. With a friend, who has been a long time resident of Petaluma and a supporter and member of the Spirit Club of Griffo Distillery, really speaking about the virtues of visiting this local purveyor of all things spirits, wanting to sample their new chocolate and spirit tasting pairing that they were offering for 30 dollars a person, I was sold for a visit. We came on a recent weekend afternoon and upon checking in with our host Jamie we were sat in their open air warehouse, which was accentuated with a bohemian atmosphere with comfy sofas and chairs and hanging lights and curtains overhead. For our pairing, Jamie presents you with three handcrafted and painted chocolates, of which we learned that aspiring chocolatier Jamie created herself, along with three of their signature spirits and liqueurs. For our first pairing, we enjoyed their chili lime espresso chocolate which was paired with two of their whiskeys, their Stony Point Whiskey and their Stout Barreled Whiskey. Both whiskeys had an amazing aroma upon first whiff, and of the two, the Stout Barreled Whiskey was a little more subtle on the nose but coated your throat in a more sublime way. For our second pairing, we enjoyed a roasted pineapple caramel white coconut ganache, which was paired with their Barreled Gin. Here gin just shoots straight down your hatch, but when paired with their ganache, with caramel oozing out with every small bite you can make with such a small chocolate, this was definitely my favorite pairing of them all. For our third and final pairing, we enjoyed their Stony Point Whiskey bonbon, which was paired with their Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur. For this pairing, both the chocolate could be enjoyed separately or together and their Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur was my favorite of all of their spirits, as it was smooth without being overpowering. To be able to enjoy handcrafted chocolates with handcrafted and bottled spirits is something that I never knew I needed. Since we were enjoying the ambience of the vast tasting room, my friend and I decided to order from their cocktail menu, of which there were five handcrafted cocktails to choose from. I ordered their Persimmon Raspberry Sour which had persimmon vodka, raspberry gum syrup, soda water, and lemon. My friend ordered their Golden Pineapple which had vodka, vanilla bean syrup, lime, fresh pineapple, and soda water. I loved my cocktail, as it had a refreshing finish with a tangy kick of persimmon in every sip, while after sampling my friend's cocktail it was as if I was enjoying a Dole Pineapple Whip, as it was a juice-filled breezy beverage that was good to the last drop. Our total bill was $47.47 per person before gratuity was added in, which totaled to $94.94, and was broken down to the liqueur and chocolate tasting being $30 a person, and the cocktail being $13 a person, which was reasonable when one considers the overall enjoyment of our day and the uniqueness of our tasting. Griffo Distillery has certainly become a proud member of the local community in Petaluma, as they also have trivia nights on Thursdays and food pop-ups that take place on Fridays. Anyone can pop on right in an enjoy the ambience and a handcrafted cocktail, or one of their signature spirits to savor over because at Griffo Distillery they truly have something special occurring, as they have become a place where locals and out-of-towners alike can find some of the most distinctively crafted gins, whiskeys, vodkas, and liqueurs sold in the Bay Area. From a dream that a locally based couple had to build something together to becoming a mini-empire, Griffo Distillery is a business that we can marvel at and celebrate.

Amazing little hidden gem! Had a great time with my bf. We did a flight, super bomb!! An opportunity to get acquainted with different drinks. The service was phenomenal. Everyone is super down to earth. Definitely coming back!

Great coffee liquor, single malt whisky Well educated staff and lounge area to chill

Me and the wife decided to give this place a try while staying in Petaluma. This place is great. Staff were amazing and the drinks were fantastic. If you are a fan of whiskey gin or vodka and you are anywhere near here this is a must.

So I really like the cocktail kits and then we decided to go and try this place out last Sunday. It was great , The drinks were outstanding and Jaime was was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The place has a relaxing atmosphere and we really felt like this place was such a sleeper. We had no idea how much we would enjoy it. We ended up joining the club.

Cool little place to visit. The lady was very very informative of each of the many items they distill there. She is a great ambassador for this company. The atmosphere was great a tad chilly but it is winter time. The coffee vodka was great. Brought some home w us. Yum. A nice place to swing by if you are in the area.

Griffo Distillery is an absolute gem. They craft some of the finest and most original whisky, gin and vodka you will find anywhere. Yes, if you are reading this during the virus pandemic, you can pick up your booze at their store. I have never been a fan of whisky but I shared a bottle of the stout brewed batch they did and found it very enjoyable and really original. The more die hard whisky friends in my group really took to it - it was supposed to last a few nights but, well... The gin is fantastic, I love how it is not heavy like many gins that can seem almost thick and frankly repulsive. This one is quite tasty and works terrific with all kinds of cocktails. I most recently started a bottle of the vodka which is also fantastic - it says limited run so who knows how much longer they will have it - super refined very crisp and friendly, awesome! They have lots of events throughout the year and are really active locally in supporting the town - a model of an ethical and engaged small business.

Went to Griffo to celebrate an anniversary and we were not disappointed! We were greeted immediately by Luna who was a perfect hostess and then found a comfortable table. Our cocktails were outstanding and food from Stockhome was great(the chicken sandwich was so tasty!). Luna took care of us was we ate, drank and relaxed in our cozy dining area. We really liked the ambiance too.

My husband and I stopped by Griffo Distillery when we found ourselves in Petaluma for the day. It's only a few days after California's full reopening after the COVID lock down so the tasting room was not in full swing, however it was staffed. The young lady who was there was delightful, and helpful. We made a couple of purchases that were pretty safe bets such as the vodka and the cold brew liquor, and then some more adventurous items like the pineapple chili cocktail mixer and the smoked old-fashioned cocktail mixer. It was a fun little visit and we were the only ones there so we did not feel rushed or crowded in any way. It would be nice to go back to see what it's like when it's fully reopened and maybe check out one of their events which sound like a lot of fun.

I was so excited to try this place and was massively disappointed. The drinks were less than average and the service was flat out miserable. The bartender was rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience. We left without finishing our drinks. There are much better places to go that appreciate it so don't waste your money here.

If you're into tasting and drinking spirits this is your place! This place has great gins & whiskey's all ripe for the tasting as well as limited edition spirits. By the limited edition, for instance, they have, or maybe it's had by now, but anyways there's the Acre's Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, which I bought a bottle. And let me tell you it is delicious!! One that I wish I had known about (and this one is sold out) is the Belgium Hen Whiskey that was a partnership with Hen House Brewing. You can do a drop-in tour & tasting, purchase a tour & tasting through Groupon or do a private tour & tasting. The choice is up to you. If you're not interested in a tour you can drop in for a single tasting, a flight tasting or taste one or more of their hand crafted cocktails. I've done a flight tasting as well as tried their cocktails. I can highly recommend the Spicy Paloma and Pink Panther cocktails as they are delicious! Griffo's recently hosted a paint night on May 3rd hosted by Canvas & Wine. Rumor has it they might host this type of event once a month. I attended this event & it was a blast! I brought in bread sticks from Mary's Pizza, brought 2 high school friends, add to that a canvas, paints & Griffo's cocktails and it was the making of a fun & fabulous evening! They also host other events such as comedians. Check their website for dates & times. They don't have food to purchase but they do allow you to bring in outside food. This is a great place to do a tasting on your own or with friends, or just to stop by on your way home from work to grab a quick cocktail! Either way, if your into tasting gins, whiskeys & specialty spirits you won't be disappointed!

Amazing! Their Stony Point Whiskey is my favorite! I just bought the stout barreled whiskey (so yum) and had to leave with a bottle of the persimmon vodka. Excellent with a splash of seltzer. I was excited to try the limited release white whiskey, and was not disappointed. Overall, a great visit and I will definitely be back!

If you like to try different local distilleries you have to check out Griffo. The owners story is pretty amazing. I truly enjoyed their hospitality and product education. It's fairly small and can get a bit packed but well worth trying out their spirits. I started out with a Tomales Collins cocktail while we had a brief tour of distillery area. Then the tasting began and ran through their whole line of spirits. We did the whole gamut. My favorites were the limited release barreled gin, limited release Belgian Hen, and last but not least their Cold Brew liqueur!

Griffo is small, but fun. They host tours of the distillery, and they also do tastings of the spirits they have. It's extremely affordable to drink here, and they are noted for having the 2016 Gold Medal gin winner, so that's reason enough to come. The interior only seats about 10, but I'm guessing it's never so packed that you can't sit and have a tasting or a cocktail. The refreshing Tomales Collins with its juniper berries are a must, and if you have a little spending money, that award-winning gin is a good idea too.

I had such a great first experience at Griffo! Roxanne is an absolute pleasure; very informative and funny too. I deeply enjoyed learning about Griffo history and whiskey making/ bottling processes. Cody is a phenomenal cocktail maker and my absolute favorite of the day is the Paloma. Griffo uses quality ingredients to create very bright and flavorful cocktails like their Paloma. I can't wait to take friends and visiting family here in the near future...or just me for an after brunch cocktail. Cheers

My girlfriend and I were up in the Santa Rosa area wandering around. I looked up some distilleries and breweries to tour. This place is awesome. Staff is super helpful and laid-back. I could spend hours there. if you are anywhere even close to this place it is well worth it to stop by. thanks for an awesome afternoon.

This actually was one of my favorite stops on my spirits journey towards Santa Rosa. They make some top notch gins and whiskeys. Got to do a tasting and watched as there was a bottling party going on as well. This place just down the street from 101 North brewery. Sign up for their emails and get invites to their bottling parties. The woman working the tasting area was sweet as sugar and the tasting area is pretty spacious. I will def be returning when I head this way next.

I've gone here twice now. The first time I did the tour/tasting and the second time I met some friends for cocktails. Their gins are great! I highly recommend.

I love Griffio! They really stepped up during the pandemic with making sanitizer (super good quality too). I especially love that they continue to manufacture it even when other sanitizers are available in stores. In my opinion, there is no comparison, theirs is better. The staff is always very helpful and friendly as well! I love their vodka and it is a really good price which is also a bonus! Support local businesses like this one! Had the pleasure of hosting a local fundraiser at Griffo last weekend. The entire process from planning, set up, tear down, and expertly arranged delicious cocktails was seamless. These peeps are amazing. I work for a non profit called PEP HOUSING we are a low income senior apartment company. We have many complexes all over Petaluma and Northern California. We needed hand sanitizer Immediately. We went to them and we got ourself some hand sanitizer. After that I was informed they are donating 96 gallons to PEP for our seniors. I have to say that was one of the nicest things that has happen to us this year they are amazing. Now most the complexes have a wonderful amount of hand sanitizer. Thank you

I made reservations for a large group tasting over a month in advance and the whole experience was amazing! Griffo was accommodating to our tight schedule. With 20+ people they arranged our tasting in the open distilling area with a open gate area for fresh area. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the tastings. Their vodka and gin had an extra kick of flavor.

Griffos is a lot of fun. An upscale yet boutique distillery that is relatively new to Petaluma, some fine gin and whiskey to be had here! We've visited a few times now, most recently for a movie night (Caddyshack) - staff are very down to earth and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Quite a nice hub developing in this section of Petaluma - next door is North 101 Brewing and soon to open Henhouse Brewery, and right across the (dangerous admittedly to cross) road is Lagunitas. Support this local biz!

I did the tour and tasting here and I had a good time. I booked with Christine via email and she was very fast at replying to my emails and vey informative turns out she gave us the tour as well. She was friendly and the tour was nice and she made us laugh. Their cold brew is delicious and now I regret not having grabbed a bottle. I'm not sure if they sell they anywhere near me.

Great for Whisky tasting. I don't drink Whisky but I took my husband and he seemed to enjoy it. I did try their Kombucha and it was very good and I'm not a Kombucha fan. This place was small and the pourer wasn't very friendly but we didn't need reservations and the tasting was very fairly priced.

Found this place by accident. Small distillery in an industrial park in Petaluma. My friends and I stopped to check it out. They were not tasting at the time, but the girl there offered to st us up with a tasting...,very nice. They make some real quality Gins, and whiskey. We tried the gin, and I'm usually not a big fan, but it was smooth, and delicious. We tried 3 types of whisky, and they too were very refined.

I went here with my wife on a Saturday for a tour a tasting. The tour was really underwhelming, not because of the facility but rather the information wasn't interesting. The guide glossed over much of the distilling process and didn't show a lot of enthusiasm. The spirits were ok. The gin is good, the whiskey is ok, and every else wasn't memorable. I wish them success but it's hard to rise above the competition if everything is just ok. Unfortunately I won't recommend this place to anybody looking to tour a distillery and taste some spirits.

Really disappointed with the service I received here today. Came in from Turlock specifically to purchase their gin . Because I was so happy with my last purchase I knew I was going to leave with a bottle. I purchased a tasting (I forget what they call it ) and my sis in law was with me and I let her share the tasting . The lady pouring the tasting charged us twice ! Even though we asked for one tasting . I still bought a bottle but I hate it when businesses get greedy like that.

Just another distillery, nothing special. We were very excited to go, the service was mediocre and there was no real enthusiasm about the story. Definitely a bummer especially after coming over from Lagunitas. Came in with high hopes, left very disappointed. However, their cold brew vodka is to die for ‍

Amazing customer service! Super responsive and friendly. Ordered a cocktail box online and can not wait to try it! Great quality products. Shipping was also fast. I am excited to visit them in person in the future. Love them already!

This Costco gin and tastes like it with a pinch of old shoes. I saw the distillery in Petaluma and shortly after that saw the brand, Griffo Gin, in the Novato Costco. Bought a bottle to try it, spit it out it was so bad! Really bad!! Next time I was near the distillery I stopped in for a tasting to see if the other at Costco was a mistake. It wasn't still very, very bad gin. The tasting didn't go very well either as the woman who apparently runs the place was nasty, apparently short on time and seemed annoyed we were even bothering her. She told us she was from New York and it certainly showed in her attitude. I will NEVER drink this garbage and I strongly suggest you don't either! If there was a lower grade than a single star I would give them that. Use only to remove tar from your car.

Griffo Distillery is a great little place, and I definitely can't wait to go back. Came out here mid July to watch my friends Zach and Myq do a comedy show, and really enjoyed myself. The staff were really nice, and the drinks were good. Can't wait to go back!

Griffo's customer service is superlative - which makes it almost as good as their spirits! I don't ever want to run out of their "Cold Brew"! Love them and their products to pieces!

Tanner provided incredible hospitality with the perfect amount of information & conversation while also giving our party space to enjoy each other's company and own experience. He went above & beyond to give us tastings to our own preferences. In addition to the service, the drinks are hands down amazing! Went home with a bottle of cold beer liquor & can't wait to share this place with everyone!! Reasonable in pricing too.

Not worthy of five stars yet! We had a large group of 11 people that was pre-arranged. The cocktails were on the small side and the tour was mostly standing in a warehouse in one spot. The tour was $10 per person plus $15 if you tasted. They offered four tastes that were very small. If you purchased a bottle, they still charge for tastings? Most tastings get waived upon purchase of bottles, but not here. Everyone had a good time, but this place is EXPENSIVE for what is delivered. Be prepared to pay or just do the tastings. The Groupon Deal a much better option here. The ColdBrew Coffee Liquor is a hit for sure!

This is our second time here. Very unique whiskey and gin. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very dog friendly which is a plus. Brought our a bed and water for our pup. We will be back for sure.
