1/9/2018- After touring two wineries in the area, we came in to Grille 3501. We made reservations prior. They are a free standing restaurant with plenty of private parking.
We were greeted right away by the hostess. We had a table by the window in front of the main bar. We ordered the Fig Manhattan, fig-infused wild turkey, sweet vermouth, orange bitters and the Ginger Snap Martini, captain morgan, orchata, canton ginger liqueur ($10 per drink). For an appetizer, we had the Grilled Octopus, pepperade, kalamata olive purée, tomato yuzu oil ($13). BEST APPETIZER we've had in a long time. The octopus was grilled perfectly; it was tender and flavorful. The two different purees went so well together. The octopus sat on a bed of greens with yellow and red peppers.
For the main entrees, we had the special which was Grilled Swordfish, melted spinach, fingerling potatoes in a honey mustard sauce and an apple puree with microgreens ($34) and the Seared Chilean Seabass
saffron israeli cous cous, roasted fennel, blistered shishito peppers, yuzu beet coulis ($36). We also ordered a side Caramelized Onion Brussels Sprouts ($7). Both dishes were delicious. We kept going back and forth tasting both dishes. We couldn't decide which one was the best out of the two. So we decided we MUST come back when in the area.
We skipped dessert this time. Overall, the ambience was great, the service was outstanding, the food was phenomenal. Highly Recommend!!!
