Harry Styles’s ‘Sushi Restaurant’ Music Video Inspires More Questions Than Answers | Eater

"Set in a sketchy yet glittery nightclub, the video places a human–squid hybrid at center stage, with vivid details such as his tentacled tail being shined for the show, him gargling green tea to warm up his vocal cords, and plentiful seafood shown in various stages of preparation. The surreal, theatrical atmosphere leans into the idea of literally 'singing for his supper' and provokes lingering questions about the strange allure of the creature." - Amy McCarthy

Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The vibe was on point the second we walked in—relaxed but classy, not too loud, and just overall a great atmosphere to actually enjoy your food. We started with the raw oysters, and they were incredible. Super fresh, perfectly chilled, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in the area. I ordered the steak for my main, and it did not disappoint. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor—exactly how a good steak should be. They clearly know what they’re doing back there. Service was solid, too. Friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. All around just a great spot. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely location, with really good food. Loved the fried green tomatoes with crabmeat and corn hash. The filet was amazing as was the potato soup. The cocktail and dessert was really on point

Patrick was our server he was very attentive our table. This restaurant was very romantic and extremely charming. We ordered spinach dip it was so rich and delicious. The chips they serve come warm and thin. Very easy to eat the whole serving. The strip steak was cooked medium very sweet taste. The loaded potatoes were cooked to perfection. My chicken tenders were light and flaky. Will be back again.

Google
Tom, thank you for providing efficient and friendly service. You made the visit wonderful. What to get: Kona Steak (so tender and finished with a sweet smokey glaze), rack of ribs (deliciously prepared and topped with BBQ sauce), the scallops (so tasty and nicely seasoned). I am not impressed with the risotto (way too cheesy - it's all you can taste). The tuna tower is overloaded with sauce (overpowered the tuna - you miss the actual tuna). Must try: cranberry bread pudding a la mode.

We have enjoyed this restaurant over the years and still do. We dine there a lot. We ordered 2 separate take out for 7 folks spending over 190$ but were shocked at the serving for my beet salad for 18$. The salad was 1 scoop? We were saddened. The restaurant is great. Food is consistent so I assume this was a mistake.

We went for Father's Day dinner and had a wonderful time! We were supposed to be a group of 6 but called due to sudden change and they accommodated us but told us it might be tight. When we get there, we were like "What tight squeeze?" Because we had such a nice large area in the back corner. Our server, I forget his name was nothing shy of wonderful! Food was absolutely amazing! Would post pics but everyone took with their own phones. Steaks for 3 people who said they were absolutely amazing! My husband really loved the asparagus. My stepfather said the Salmon was the BEST salmon he's ever had and can't wait to return already 😅He's picky so that's something! My baked potato soup, mac and cheese were simply splendid, flavor was great with just a little salt and pepper which is how I like a restaurant to serve items like this. And both the Baked Potato AND Baked Sweet potato were so amazing, that's ALL my daughter ate🤣 Thank you for a spectacular Father's Day Dinner❤️❤️❤️

Google
A great experience. We went for a late lunch and between us we had the crab cake sandwich, homemade veggie burger and a steak. All the food was excellent. The crab cake was almost all crab! The veggie burger had a burger texture and look and was tasty. The steak was perfectly cooked. The bartender was personable and was easy to talk to but didn’t intrude on our time. They had interesting house cocktails and the one I had was great. Definitely a go to spot.

Google
We had an amazing experience all around!! We made reservations here for mother's day and this place did not disappoint in any way. The staff were super friendly and our waiter was attentive without being overly pushy like other places. I loved that you can see into the kitchen while the food is being prepared. Our party tried the blackened shrimp and avocado toast, kona kabob, shrimp and orzo and a steak with a crab cake and grilled shrimps. Everything was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We also tried the apple crisp and the Grand Marky cocktail, both are worth coming back for.

Yelp
I had a mostly fantastic experience at GrillMarX in Olney, MD, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a polished, upscale dining experience--with just one major area for improvement. First, the atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, creating a comfortable dining environment that made us feel taken care of throughout the evening. The drinks were also excellent--expertly crafted and full of flavor. While they are definitely on the pricier side, the quality was clearly there, and I appreciated the creativity behind each cocktail. The oysters were a highlight of the meal--fresh, briny, and absolutely delicious. They were presented beautifully and tasted even better. Truly a standout. However, given that this is a steakhouse with entrées in the $45-$50 range, I have to be honest: the steak preparation was disappointing. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it arrived clearly overcooked. To their credit, the staff was quick to acknowledge the mistake and did re-cook it without hesitation. But the second steak took quite a long time to come out, which disrupted the flow of the meal, and by then, the experience had already lost a bit of its shine. For a restaurant of this caliber--especially one that clearly prides itself on its steaks--I expected it to be cooked perfectly the first time. When you're paying a premium price, precision matters. That said, the second steak was much closer to what I initially requested and still flavorful and well-seasoned. All in all, GrillMarX delivers on service, ambiance, and overall quality, with a menu that shows a lot of promise. I do hope they tighten up consistency on their steak preparation, because everything else--from the oysters to the drinks to the staff--was truly excellent. I'd definitely return, but with the hope that next time, the kitchen gets it right the first time.

Yelp
The Prime Rib and the mussels are a must. Both were cooked to perfection, flavorful, and nice -size portions. Our waiter was wonderful. It was very attentive Marquis and he even went back to ask the chef for a lean piece of Prime Rib. The baked potato with the prime rib was excellent. The Caesar salad was a great starter. We needed more dressing, but the flavor was good. The only thing that needed help was the tuna tart appetizer. It was a lot of wonton and minimal tuna . Next time I will order the ribs appetizer. All in all it was a great time. Nice vibe to the restaurant a lot of families were there with kids as it was a Saturday around 7:00 PM. We'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Came here before field of screams on a Friday evening. The ambiance is cute. I would describe the vibe as elevated casual. It's a pretty small place and a little cramped, but the decor is cute and cozy. Our server was nice enough, although he could have been a little more attentive. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin spiced martini which was absolutely delicious. My second drink was my favorite though. It was called heaven and hell - the menu description is "Rum Haven Coconut Rum / Pineapple Juice / Lime Juice / Habanero Simple / Jalapeno Garnish." It was the best drink I've had in a really long time. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. I would highly recommended it. A woman, I'm assuming the manager, came over and asked if my gf and I needed anything and that's when I ordered the heaven and hell drink. The woman was nice enough to give that round to us for free! I wasn't expecting that at all. For dinner I got the meatloaf and my gf got the Kona kabobs. The meatloaf was absolutely the best meatloaf I've ever had. It was grilled so you got that charred flavor, but it wasn't too dry and the seasoning was on point. The mashed potatoes were delicious too, as was the gravy. I tried my gf's Kona kabobs and they were very well seasoned and tender. Overall it was an amazing meal and we had a good time. I'd definitely give them another try.

Yelp
The restaurant has inside and outside seats. Outside seat area looks relaxing. However, it was a hot day, so, we sat inside. Staff was attentive. Food is satisfying.

Yelp
We were seated promptly and greeted with water by our server. Premium cocktails which were delicious. For starters we had the grilled artichoke. Would definitely recommend it. Ordered the prime rib and the tortellini vodka. We ate every bite. Service, food and space were top notch.

Yelp
Update. Carryout for Jaime Cobb salad. Didn't want fried chicken on it so opted for the beef. $36 for one salad. It should be renamed to Trump Golden salad.

Yelp
We loved the atmosphere, the oysters, the steak and sides. It had a nice bar you can watch the game and restaurant to enjoy a beautiful meal. Recommend! Oh, service was pretty good, nice.

Yelp
My favorite place for ribs, house burger and loaded sweet potato. The bar tender that welcomed me and was the reason I kept going back is gone and I'm very disappointed about that. He introduced the food items I mentioned to me and each time it was as good as he said it was. He was great and professional at customer service. I only pick up now because the last time I sat at the bar I felt unseen and wasn't made to feel welcome.

Yelp
Good food environment and server. We had a multigenerational family outing. Great stop after games at OBGC.

Yelp
This place is far overpriced for what it is. You can pay half and get the same quality service and food. Mussels tasted precooked and half the size of nearby locations the was steak basic gratuity is a mandatory 20%, food and service were good but not 50%+ better than the alternatives. The cost sure was. Overall this place wasn't too bad I would return if I had too. The ambiance wasn't bad either part of the place seemed like a sports bar.

Dorothy M.

Yelp
The ambience is lovely but can be quite loud in the dining room. The food is good but the portions small for the price. I wish just once I could get piping hot soup here. It is always lukewarm. The restaurant seems well managed. Reservation are honored and I've never had to wait for a table. Sometime the wait staff seem thin but it is everywhere else too.

Yelp
We had a fantastic family holiday celebration today, and Ryan was our server. He made our day by providing attentive and accommodating service. Ryan worked hard to ensure that we had everything we needed, and that the food came out hot and tasty. We all enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was served promptly at our table. I ordered the prime rib and eggs, which was more than enough food for three meals! The others in our group had the breakfast platter, ribs, breakfast burrito, pancakes, French toast, and another prime rib, all of which were phenomenal. They gave my niece an ice cream Sunday as a treat. The hostess was welcoming and the place was clean and spacious. Nice choice of a local eatery.

Yelp
I've removed 1 star from my prior review because of this visit last night. If I was reviewing MY meal alone, GrillMarx would receive 1 star andvid be hard pressed to return! But because 2 of the 4 at dinner had great entrees, 1 had mediocre and 1 less than mediocre, I'll favor the establishment based on 2.5 entrees and reduce 5 to 4 to be generous! To start, service was horrible!! Waiter was personable, that's it, and needs to have service skills improvement. When he first came to the table, he NEVER asked if we wanted to order drinks. He brought small glasses of water and left to give us time to chat and read the menu. However, that should have been the time to ask for drink orders and offer bread for the table or apps while chatting. I was starving, skipped lunch in anticipation for this dinner as I was highly recommended to try their Caesar salad. Many know I LOVE a good Caesar and have yet to find one lately and this was on the list to try. Anyway, I digress from the service points. He did come back, still didn't ask about drinks or offer bread or if we wanted appetizers as 1 of our group still wasn't ready. So he left. Once we all had decided, he took our order without writing anything down and 2 of the 4 in our group had very specific requests. We did make comment about it to him that he'll remember all the specificity of those 2 orders, which he was confident he would remember. As he was leaving, I asked if I could order iced tea and coke for my hubby. He NEVER asked! Everyone else stuck with water. Again, no bread offered. Sure enough, he later returned to ask a question about 1 of the orders as he forgot!!! AND it was WAY overdue that we still did NOT receive our drinks we ordered SO, we had to remind him if we could get our drinks. He didn't remember what we ordered and we had to restate Iced Tea and Coke. Drinks finally came, i also had to request a refill, pet peeve is waiter not noticing your drink is empty. When meals came out, I did ask then if bread could be served for the table. He did retrieve quickly enough. Then he disappeared, but did return once to check if everything came out OK. As far as the food and kitchen, I'll start with the worst and then return to the best. Caesar salad was BELOW mediocre and the quality and value was robbery! I added protein of chicken tenders for additional fee. It was a joke. 1 tender cut up to try and hide the small portion, AND this is served in what I consider deceptive plating. They utilize a large plate with wide brim and a slight indentation for a "bowl". I took the "taco topping diced" Romaine and pushed it together rather than their spread out masking for the customers eye to appear as if there is more in the plate than actual and I guarantee there was only a cup of lettuce there, IF that. Yes, the least expensive ingredient in a salad and I got basically a starter salad with hardly any dressing, so it lacked flavor, basically I had a cup of $22 lettuce for dinner and left hungry, disappointed and let down. So if you compare the amount of tenders in the platter my husband had vs my 1 measley tender they charged $7 extra for, they could have put more than 1 in my salad. At that rate, the tender platter of 6 tenders at $7/each should be $42 plus he got fries and Cole slaw for the BEST bargain ever of $24 (or price per tender of less than $4/each). Again, I feel robbed! But now I know. Then to add to the misery, old bread was served. They tried the trick of taking stale bread and microwaving to soften, only problem with that is it turns into a brick in 5 minutes which it was just a huge crouton, by time I tried to get a 2nd slice. And resulted in abrasion of my gums trying to bite it, again I was SO hungry!!! Now for the GOOD portion of my review as there were redeaming entrees: their chicken tenders are one of THE BEST in this area we have found recently. They were cooked correctly, not overly breaded and chicken was moist and tender. Great portion for the price and fries were real and not the formed type with good flavor, nicely salted and no need for ketchup type fries. Coleslaw is not my husband's favorite, he said it was ok, I tried it and liked. My Friend who needs gluten-free options had her requests met without issue, AND she also has a corn allergy. Knowing some gluten-free buns are corn based, she requested "no bun." I did not realize gluten is in oils fries are cooked in, and she knew GrillMarx has gluten-free preparations for fries. Good thing for those who need this option to know. Her chicken, avocado and bacon sandwich (less the bun) was delicious with plenty of bacon, good portion of chicken which was moist and tender. She did note to me that she has had in the past, the same sandwich with overcooked dry chicken.

Yelp
We are there Friday, March 7th. I got food poisoning 6 hours after having dinner there. Salad, Kona ribeye, and mashed potatoes.

Yelp
I always enjoy the French dip sandwich along with the various salads. The experience is always nice at Grill Marx.

Yelp
We decided to have a dinner out after a fairly stressful week, and wanted to try a new spot. GrillMarx in Olney was a perfect fit for that. I was a little worried, as it seems to have a pretty low rating, but it's a perfect five from me. Their drink menu is creative, with a lot of different, fun drinks on it. I went with a raspberry bourbon smash, which was fruity and strong with the bourbon -- a nice, smokey flavour that complimented everything else well. We had a dozen oysters -- I was a little sad that they had three types and wouldn't do 4/4/4, only 6/6, so we didn't get to try them all, but no big. They were fresh, and really well shucked -- no bits of shell or anchored oysters here. I didn't particularly care for the mignonette that came with them honestly, but the oysters didn't need it at all. Price was right on, at about $3 an oyster, which is pretty typical for good, shucked oysters in a restaurant. I followed it up with the boneless ribeye and a baked potato. The ribeye was perfectly rare, with great flavour. I got it with mushrooms and bleu cheese, which were fantastic -- I kind of regret the bleu cheese, as the steak was good enough to not warrant it. I saw a lot of the negative reviews mentioning price, and yea, it was an expensive dinner, but it's a steakhouse and raw bar. Frankly, you're going to pay nearly this much at Outback, and GrillMarx was a whole lot better. I was a little off-put by the Maitre D' when we walked in. She was texting on her phone, and looked annoyed to be interrupted -- even the woman who actually seated us seemed a bit offended on our behalf. The rest of the night more than made up for it. My only other possible negative -- for a restaurant with "raw bar" in the name, they don't have much in the way of "raw;" it's "Market Price Assorted Oysters" or nothing. I'd like to be able to order varieties of oysters as I'd like, to have a bit more variety, and see some other good raw seafood on the menu -- clams anyone?

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night, they were packed. The bar area was very lively. They were very accommodating. Even with large parties, and every table was filled they still managed to get us seated in about 15 minutes. We ordered steak , pecan chicken salad, potato soup, and some other things. Food and drinks came out fairly fast. Our server Tom ( sum yung ) was very efficient, attentive and knowledgeable over the menu. He was very considerate and pay attention to detail we didn't need to order a drink refill because he always noticed right when we were about to ask for a refills.

Yelp
The customer service was awful. I was trying to order for take out & the girl who does the website for GrillMarx was quite rude. She was arguing about what was listed on their latest website.

Yelp
My parents and I went out to dinner at grillmarx a couple nights ago. Everything tasted pretty good. I had the Chicken Tender Platter which was okay just a little on the greasy side.

Yelp
Good find this one. The service was quick and everyone was super friendly. The food is quite alright. They could do a little better with their salads, my spring mix was significantly wilted, as were the avocados on it (Cobb salad). Their lamb chops with risotto were banging! Their meat cuts were also good and properly cooked. We had some cocktails and they were also delicious. I think I'll go back to keep on trying more dishes.

Yelp
This place is always busy, and the food is reliably good. Good steaks, cooked well, even if a little pricey. The sides are where it's at, though. I refer to the side of spinach as "Crack Spinach" - it is amazing, maybe even life-changing. I literally crave it. Recently, I made my husband come here for dinner, and I just ordered a loaded baked potato and crack spinach. Yes, it's that good. (My mouth is watering right now, thinking about it.) Also, desserts here are always changing, fresh made, and delicious.

Yelp
This was a great meal. We came in for dinner on a Sunday night, no reservation and were seated right away. But when we walked in, the maitre d was on her phone, and when she looked up to see that we'd walked in, she looked annoyed. The hostess who did seat us was friendly and seemed somewhat embarrassed, so it was an odd start to the experience. It did get better once we sat down. Our server was attentive and took our order shortly after we sat down. We ordered drinks, a bourbon smash and the St. elder's peel. My fiancé and I ended up switching because I liked the st. Elder's peel better than the smash, but they were both tasty. Then we ordered oysters. We did a dozen total, 6 pink ladies and 6 wellfleets and the mignonette. The mignonette was meh, but the oysters didn't need it because they were fresh and briny. Now onto the main courses. I ordered the prime rib with sautéed spinach and my fiancé ordered the ribeye with a baked potato. The prime rib was perfectly cooked to medium rare and came with the rib, which added for some extra meat. The spinach was also nice, with a lot of sautéed garlic. I snuck a bite of the ribeye, which also had blue cheese and sautéed mushrooms. It was a great combination and the ribeye was perfectly cooked. The baked potato it came with was plain, but the server brought him a tray of toppings - butter, chives, sour cream, cheese, and bacon! Other reviews mentioned that it's expensive. Yes, that's true. But you're paying for quality meat and raw bar, which generally runs on the higher side. I would say for the quality, it's worth it!

Yelp
Went here for dinner one time because my husband has always wanted to try it. It wasn't too busy at all during dinner which was good for us, no wait lol place was a bit dark which I am usually not a fan of but I understand some restaurants have their own ambiance. I got the pork tenderloin and my husband got a steak dish while my little one got mac and cheese. Food took a bit to come out. Everything was pretty good. I like the grits from my dish and pork has lots of flavor as well. Staff was nice and friendly.

Yelp
Best sidecars in the state. The staff at the bar and the rest of front-of-house are great - personable, organized, never too much or too little. Tend to get the prime rib - the cuts are a little inconsistent but it's cooked correctly.

Arielle V.

Yelp
The food was delicious, and the server was very helpful and kind. The environment was excellent.

Yelp
Tonight I had a nice experience for dinner. My BF made a reservation for dinner for the main dining area. Unfortunately when he got there he was seated at a small table at the bar. When I got there I sat with him but had received bad news about family and was uncomfortable. Our night out was to have a good time and get my mind off of things going on. I spoke to Ericka one of the managers about the situation and she helped tremendously. Although it was packed and people were waiting for tables, she was so accommodating and got us a booth in a quieter area of the restaurant. All of the servers we had and additional staff were so nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the pleasant staff and how we were able to get a better table. I had the steak and risotto and ate it all. Thank you for a good night.

Yelp
Two of us has dinner at GrillMarx. Not a fan of the parking - but it's all up from there! Tried 4 specialty cocktails and all were *excellent*. Had both the Annapolis and the Rockefeller oysters - both were overfilled with 'toppings' and were very tasty. We both got the Kona crusted ribeyes and my oh my the steak was delicious. I found out that the beef is hand cut here. Service was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Prices on some items were (to me) are a little high while others a little low - so they are probably spot on overall.

Yelp
I wasn't feeling well when I went so I couldn't eat my food, but boy oh boy! Idk if it was because I hadn't eaten of the food was just that good, but the lamb chops were chefs kiss. They were seasoned to perfection and cooked just right. Our server was super helpful and attentive. I'll definitely be returning to try more of their menu items.

Yelp
I had a reservation on 2/1/25 for 13 people for my wife's birthday. When I arrived a heavy set women at the front desk told me the reservation was cancelled since I did not answer my phone. She was very rude. I showed her a text that they had sent asking me if I was still coming which I replied yes and then she backed off. Another person then took over and said they were sorry and would clear out 3 tables as fast as possible. That took over 35 minutes so we were now past 720 instead of 645 as planned. Only one server was assigned to the group even though other servers were assigned to only one or 2 tables and could have helped. Once the food arrived everything was ok. No one offered to give us any compensation for the delay or slow service due to only one server. As we left no one said good bye have a good night or anything. The least I could have expected was my wife's birthday dessert to have been free. I have eaten at Grill Marx many times but only for 2 or 4 people and never had a problem. Yelp
We were seated outdoors on the patio. The live flowers provided privacy and contributed to a lovely atmosphere. Service was great as usual. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and the server welcomed us warmly. I asked to switch out chairs, which was done quickly with a smile. Service is never an issue here. Husband ordered burger medium, it arrived well done. Same for my hickory salmon which also had an extra salty sauce. The final disappointment was the espresso martini which was little more than dirty water. It really tasted like they swished water around in an old coffee urn and tossed it in the glass.

Yelp
My favorite place to eat when I'm in town, visiting family. Everything I have tried is delicious, and the service is always great. Recommend!

Yelp
Grillmarx is one of my favorite restaurants in MoCo. Upscale dining and bar area. The hostess greet you walking in. The bar service is fantastic. The wait and bar staff are consistent in service, every visit. The dishes on the menu are well prepared. The steaks and burgers are my favorite. Every fish dish i have tried has been great. Great ambiance for adult dining. I look forward to next visit.

Yelp
After roadtrip from Pennsylvania, I was exhausted. When I walk in this place was cozy. The hostess was very nice. Our booth was great place to talk to our friends since we needs to catch up. For a starter, we order Sherry Cream Mussels. Sauteed Shallots and Garlic, Sherry Cream Sauce, Grilled Crostini. Chicken Tenders. Three Lightly Battered Crispy Tenders, House Cut French Fries. For Entrees. With Four of us, we all craving for steak. Center Cut 8 oz. Filet Mignon with 4 oz. Crabcake with Grilled Asparagus. 3 orders of Kona Ribeye 14 oz. with Grilled Asparagus. The service is fantastic.

Yelp
Love the food not digging the new ties the servers have to wear. Best spinach dip Makes me enter 85 characters

Yelp
We had lunch here on a weekday and it was pretty good. I had the wrap and my husband had the fried chicken which was really juicy and crunchy. We will try it again for dinner sometime. The service was fair, but the manager was busy being super attentive to customers. I always appreciate a manager visiting tables.

Yelp
Been coming here for years now, really the only place like it in Olney. Unfortunately, I think due to its unique nature there isn't a lot of pressure to perform. Service pre-covid was fairly consistent. I have not dined in again yet, so I won't make any assumptions about what an in-resturant experience is right now. Having ordered carryout a number of times in the past year I can say it is nice to see the menu mostly restored now. The potato soup was missing for a while. Pre-covid it was a smooth soup and when it returned to the menu it was potato chunks instead. Not bad but not as elevated of a soup as before. We love the mussel, and artichoke appetizers. The Kona steak is also delicious. That being said, we come here specifically for the Kona because the other steak offerings are not unique for the price point of the restaurant. Long Horn, for example, can do a lot of these steaks for less and the meat is just as good. They no longer offer curbside service which is a disappointment too, especially for the money.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING!!!!!! We were in DC for the March on Washington and this restaurant came highly recommended by our friend Alicia. It was a very long drive but boy was it worth it?! ABSOLUTELY!! GrillMarX has a variety of menu options and a full bar. They are adhering too social distancing and a mask is required to enter the restaurant. It's very clean and the staff is impeccable. The Lamb Chops OMG!!!! The BEST I've had in the World! I've traveled to more than 40 Countries and they have the best lamb chops ever!! Highly recommended!

Yelp
food service and ambiance all sucked. Have eaten here many times, very much a hit or miss experience here. tonight was a massive miss. Starting off they had they wrong reservation time and acted like they were doing me a favor getting us a table. After 10 minutes without any service I had to flag down a busboy for silver wear and water. I ordered the large prime rib, I ordered it medium but still pink, clear enough instructions. the meat arrived RAW! When the waiter finally came to check on us my wife and daughter had already finished their dinners. He said he would bring me out a new piece, I clarified that I wanted a new piece of meat not just a microwaved bring back. My second chance was gray! Nothing even close to medium. They acted like they were being magnanimous to take the meal off the bill. No other attempts to make things right. This place has gone to hell, stay away

Yelp
Quality food, good service, reasonable prices. I have been a couple of times and have not been disappointed by the oysters, ribeye or cocktails.

Yelp
This is a classic and reliable restaurant in Olney. Perfect for special occasions or a nice date night. It is a darker and moodier ambiance. There is a full bar, and booth and table seating. I've had a few large dinner parties here and the food never disappoints. I definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand. You can also order online and pick up in store. This restaurant is definitely $$-$$$. It's expensive but the food is very delicious. I think their appetizer menu is lacking a little, there aren't that many options. But to be fair, it is a more concise menu. I would say the menu caters more towards an adult audience but there are children friendly options. The steaks are always delicious and worth the price. I had a NY strip, 12 ounces. The burgers are good and the steak salad is also delicious. I will say their dessert menu is very good and I've had a variety of items. I've frequented Grill Marx multiple times over the years and will continue to do so. It is located in the Fair Hill shopping center in olney so the parking is always a competition. Limited handicap spaces in the front.

Yelp
This restaurant has almost always done a good job with food and service. Today demonstrated a severe lack of both. One meal at our table was served raw when ordered medium rare. After being sent back, it returned extremely overcooked, like well done ++. When asked how it was the server was told nicely that it was bad and extremely overdone. No manager came to the table and we were promptly provided a bill with the item remaining in it. No concern for the patron, us, or the lack of food quality. Regardless we paid the bill including for this mainly inedible product. We were with friends and didn't want to upset the good conversation due to this. We asked to split the check. There was 1 credit card and 1 gift card. The server messed this up to by simply using the entire gift card and putting the rest in our friends card. Terrible service represented by an equally terrible tip. All of this was self inflicted by those who cooked the meal (twice) and the server who could care less.

Yelp
GrillMarx has been consistently good. We've dined here about 10 times and have been pleased every time. Their menu has a nice selection for most all palates.

Yelp
$$$ The burger and asparagus were delicious $19.00. Ask about MKT pricing before ordering. One dozen oysters $38.00. Martini $ 14.00. Add the suggested tip of 20%, 25% or 30% and that's one very expensive meal.

Yelp
GrillMarx Steakhouse is a local staple in my community. The restaurant is located in the back of a busy shopping plaza. There's plentiful seating but it fills up on busy nights. The menu selection is okay. There's something for everyone. My husband and I order steak and salmon. The drinks are alright nothing fancy. The ambiance is good for a family night or date night. There's an option for take out orders if you just want to grab and go. There's plentiful parking but the lots fill up quickly. The service is average.

Yelp
A lot of people recommended this place so I really looked forward to it. But it was just such a let down. The restaurant itself is nice and looks high end. Our server was pretty good. He had a HUGE party which I know becomes a time/attention drain and other tables typically suffer as a result. We got an appetizer and split an entree (chicken sandwich) and the chicken was so overcooked and dry that I literally could not bite my teeth through it. With so many places doing good chicken sandwiches, a restaurant as fancy as they position themselves to be should have this so perfect that we order another because neither wants to share. Needless to say, there are better restaurants in Olney and so we haven't been back.
