Google
Love the idea of being able to have a big juicy burger or a smash burger. Lots of couples are divided in their selection and it was nice to get both here. Great food. Great service.

Patrice Muhammad

Google
The pretzel battered fish sandwich was exceptional. They have incredible dipping sauces for the french fries. They still get five stars for the food, but I would’ve loved a few more drink options like a fresh squeezed lemonade or something a little more tasty to go in my meal.

Benjamin Lugo Velez

Google
The dining area was excessively noisy, hindering conversation. While the server was pleasant, the service was slow; drinks arrived ten minutes after ordering. The table and chairs were wet, requiring napkins to be used for cleanup. The Cuban sandwich, featuring pork belly, Kentucky ham, Swiss cheese, spicy dill pickles, roasted garlic mayo, and yellow mustard on authentic Cuban-style bread, exhibited a well-balanced and flavorful profile. It represents a commendable interpretation of the traditional Cuban sandwich; however, increasing the quantity of pork and adding more seasoning would enhance the dish.

Google
Such a fun dive! We had the Cuban, the fish sandwich, the grilled cheese, and a burger. All were prepared exceptionally well! Beautiful presentation! Flavor was incredible and our waiter was so personal! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.

Google
I’ve been here a few times and get the B&B each time lol. I say I’m going to try something new but I haven’t reached that point of letting the B&B go lol. Also the Brussels sprouts are delicious.

Google
Excellent food. The brussel sprouts were exceedingly delicious but they will stay with you long after you leave. Parking can be tight. Some outdoor seating available.

Google
Grind has one of the best rated veggie burgers in town, so we wanted to try it. I will say it was quite delicious, and is made in house. They do offer a gluten free bun (Udis). It is expensive at $16 plus $2.50 for the special bun, but the quality is high. It comes with a side and I opted for fries. A small serving but nonetheless tasty. The kale salad, vegan version, left some to be desired. The Brussels are rolled in butter. The room is loud and very casual.

Google
Awesome place! Great burgers and sides! Loved everything about it. The burgers were done perfectly with a crispy edge and fresh toppings. The ranch was so good and even shared a cookie from their sister company a bakery!

Yelp
After a day of antiquing, a shop owner nearby recommended The Grind. Very relaxing with indoor/outdoor seating in a chill vibe. Service, food, and location were perfect. Great value for money.

Yelp
My wife and I visited Grind Burger Kitchen recently. She had the Classic Grind Burger and absolutely loved it--especially the buns, which are to die for. I ordered the B&B Burger, and it was also packed with flavor and cooked just right. Grind really does deliver when it comes to burger quality and the overall cool atmosphere. However, the service was disappointing. Our food came out lukewarm, and our server seemed to focus more on the larger tables, which left us without drink refills or any check-ins throughout our meal. It really impacted the experience in a negative way. We did speak to the manager before leaving, and they said they'd talk to the staff. One other consistent issue we've noticed: the fries are just not good. They're always underwhelming, so I'd recommend skipping the fries and sticking to the burgers

Yelp
It's rare that I can walk into a slightly divey (I mean this in the best way) bar and get a satisfying vegan burger (one that is made in-house at that), so Grind is a nice surprise. I went for a quick lunch and sat at the bar. The menu has two options that can be veganized and while I wanted to try the kale salad, I couldn't pass up a housemade veggie burger. It's one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had and it isn't pretending to be meat like a Beyond or Impossible Burger. What would make it next level would be a vegan cheese or mayo, even avocado, to give it a healthy fat. And a pickle. Every good burger deserves a pickle. If you're vegan, they have a vegan bun but you have to ask for it. I ordered but the burger is SO good, that I didn't want a bun getting in the way. And you have to get the fries. They are phenomenal.

Yelp
The atmosphere in Grind is dim and relaxing. The staff is just as laid back and hospitable. Although the interior lacks any sort of vibe that contributes to the food you are about to eat. You could serve anything in that environment, nothing really screams burger. I ordered a regular burger with whipped ricotta that usually comes on the adult grilled cheese. This cheese took my burger to the next level. It was the creamiest cheese I have put on a burger in a long time. The lactose pain will be totally worth it. Thinly sliced red onions also made the burger super enjoyable. The diner style are two smashed patties cooked well, this was good but the ends are burnt and don't make for the most appetizing bite but can be overlooked if you order a lot of toppings on your burger. The fries are the most shocking part of the meal. You know the fries at the bottom of a take out bag and how they are sometimes the best fries in the entire bag? All of their fries taste like those fries. The crunch is so good I don't think I even added salt! If anyone has a burger craving, Grind will cure it.

Yelp
This place is so cool-looking from the outside. I went here for the first time in January and thought their cute patio out front would be a neat spot to eat and hangout. The inside is very cool as well- wish I had taken interior pics, but I'm sure that there are some in other reviews. I will say that the place is very clean and organized tho. Service was very good, really enjoyed our server. Decent sized menu- multiple items that I want to come back and try. I ended up getting the Southern burger and my husband built his own. You choose how well done you want your burger- but unlike other places- one of those options is the well done option- which is 2 smash patties- and I thought that was pretty awesome. I love a good smash burger and this one was great. The only thing that I'd complain about little about was the bun- it was too thick and harder than I would have liked. If it were a different bun, my burger would have been one of the best that I've ever had. I would love to see them use a thinner, softer bun. However, that won't stop me from coming back because the food is really delicious. Hand-cut fries and Brussels sprouts were pretty epic too. I really enjoyed this place. Would absolutely recommend it and will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Excellent burger. Chill atmosphere. Serves some more old school beer choices - Hamms. lol

Yelp
I've lived in Louisville full-time for 3 years, but I started visiting nearly a decade ago when I moved to Lexington. When I met a friend in Louisville for dinner, he recommended Grind. I enjoyed my burger enough that it became one of my go-to places when I dropped in town, and I'm still trying new things on the menu. I've built my own burger, and also enjoyed the B&B, and Pork. All were good. And while they are known for burgers, they excel at other items. My wife loves their salads. Last time we went, I got the adult grilled cheese for the first time. I did enjoy it, but it felt a little too elevated to me. I'll probably go back to burgers the next time we go. The house cut fries did not disappoint. As for beverages --- pretty reasonably priced and a good beer/bourbon selection. This is a great place to bring visitors because there is usually always room for groups, it's right near the heart of NuLu, and it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! Which I think is cool. The reason for 4 stars is that while everything is good that I've tried, I think there are better burgers out there for a better price. The ambience in there is also hit-or-miss because I've hardly been inside when it's crowded. It's a big space, so it can feel a little empty. That doesn't impact us as much because we always go up to the bar and chat with the bartenders. They're very friendly and have some good stories to tell. The servers are a big reason why we keep coming!

Yelp
Brussels Sprouts were enough to share. Had the grilled cheese. It was ok. The fries were just ok if you like the skins on them. Ordered two margaritas and they tasted so bad we couldn't drink them. Had our server try to fix them but it still didn't taste good. Our server was nice. I probably won't go back. It wasn't for me.

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Tasteless, greasy burger and soggy fries that were so salty that I must have had my blood raised. Waitress was very nice, though

Yelp
Great plant based options, delicious fries, and the workers are super friendly. The experience was better than the food, and the food was great. Was not busy on a Wednesday night. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Cool place, an affordable option in NuLou, quality hamburgers, fries and drinks! I always get "the chain" burger which is basically a dinner style smash burger. Great hand cut style fries. It's basically twenty bucks after tax and tip which is kinda crazy for a burger and fries. But the experience is always mostly positive and the food is always tasty. If you are visiting and spending time downtown louisville this is a great option.

Yelp
After our visit to Hermitage Farm, we went to Grind Burger for dinner. I wasn't particularly in the mood for a burger, but we went because it had gluten free options, and it was conveniently located for us. Prices weren't too bad, and the burgers were quite tasty (I had the basic "Grind" burger). Nothing special, but if you are hungry and want a solid burger, Grind Burger does the job. Yelp
Came here because of Guy Fieri and Triple-D. I got the Cuban sandwich with kale salad. Really liked the meats on the Cuban and the bread was pressed and nicely presented. The kale salad was a good compliment and at least made part of my meal seem healthy. Wife got the basic cheeseburger with fries. Very good and the fries were homemade and delicious. Decent beer and cocktail menu for the type of establishment it is. Good array of street parking outside.

Yelp
Good fresh food. Love the smoked catchup. Friendly service. While visiting from southern Illinois

Yelp
Great local eatery that had the best food. Service was great. Neat vibes in this smallish restaurant near downtown

Yelp
Hands down the best burger I've ever had on this earth. The B&B burger with the fried egg will most likely never be topped by another burger ever.

Yelp
Best Burger Buns (bread)!!! So I love a good burger and/or slider. The meat is 80% of importance and the bun/bread is 20%. Good burgers cannot be great without good bread in my opinion. My Southern burger tonight was great because of the bun provided here!! Server informed us that buns are cooked at the company's bakery. It was warm, soft, and delicious. I didn't give a perfect score because my bacon slices were a little disappointing, one sliver was all fat & I don't enjoy that. The pimento cheese was delicious on the burger but I prefer a little more. My mom had the fish sandwich & gave rave reviews. My bonus mom enjoyed her burger choice as well. We all appreciated the fresh & seasoned fries. Ambiance is low key and laid back. Seems to attract families. Server was cool & patient with my moms who were bourbon infused LOL! He also shared that there are other locations or restaurants under the same business umbrella. I'd definitely return here or try out the slider place he mentioned.

Yelp
A restaurant after my own heart....give me some Wisconsin drinks any dayfrom the good land!! If you haven't had a Brandy old fashioned; you're missing out. I actually ordered the Cherry Soda which was a delight. Our server was super nice, knowledgeable, wonderful, expedient. Food is great! Maybe one of the best in the ville. Super reasonable, on par with other burger joints. Restaurant places great music, has a projector with food channel, very chill.

Yelp
Great Burger. We went with a large group, around 20 people and the service was very good. Our drinks came quickly after we ordered. Our food took about 20 minutes, which for the size our group was good. The rest of the restaurant was also busy. Everybody was very pleased with the food. My Southern Burger was very good and cooked to perfection. The burger meat it self was very tasty. The side of fries were hot and tasty. I would return

Yelp
The B&B burger is pretty legit. The hubs and I went he said he'd put it as his 2nd favorite burger. The habanero jam is sweet and spicy, yet not too spicy. Great food, good service and chill vibes. I'll return.

Yelp
Stopped on our way driving through Louisville purely because I looked on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and saw this was a stop. Of all the food we ordered we thought the Brussels sprouts were the best. They were sweet yet salty, browned to a perfection. Complemented the sweet of the Cuban sandwich which was tasty, tender, and filling. The B+B burger was delicious- a perfectly cooked med rare as I asked for with Brie and bacon, the jalapeño jam was tasty but a little too spicy for my personal liking. The server was extremely happy and personable and a pleasure to talk to! He recommended Old Forrester bourbon for me as I wanted to try some but am not a huge bourbon drinker and it was a good rec.

Yelp
My friends and I were traveling though here and wanted a burger. We were super disappointed. To start we were sat quickly which was nice but that was about it. One of the first things we noticed was their pricing and super limited menu. Burgers were highly priced but came with a side which was nice. We ordered different types of burgers and everything except one burger came out wrong. The redeeming factor is the burgers and fries were decent but the server was not good at all. Over all we would not come back here at all. Overpriced. Not good service. Not worth it!
google avatar

Tom F.

Yelp
Limited menu as compared to other burger places in town. Food had great taste but was looking for a couple more choices of burgers without having to build my own and driving the price up.

Jacqueline B.

Yelp
They got my order wrong. I thought the burgers were okay, but I was upset about my order being wrong. Waitress didn't even try to fix it. The wait was really long and not worth it for me personally. My boyfriend enjoyed his food though. I got the "brown sugar Brussels sprouts" for a side and didn't really taste the brown sugar at all. I would not recommend this place for burgers. There's so many other better local places.

Yelp
Greta spot! The Cuban is one of the best I've had outside of Miami and PR , Great beer list as well and helpful staff.

Yelp
Grind burger kitchen is a burger joint located in the extremely popular and fun Nulu neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky. One of the few establishments in the Nulu neighborhood that has its own personal parking lot which is nice. I've had my eye on This place for a few years. I'm not a real big burger guy but I've heard good things, love the area and the exterior building puts off a cool and nice vibe. Finally stopped In here last night with my good friend and fellow yelper Jeremy J as we were in the area for a kid rock concert and both had this place on our "to do" list. While the outside is massive looking it is quite small on the inside. I do love the vibe and theme though. Very spacious with a nice bar area and a really cool and fun mural inside. Our service here was very good and quick. All workers were nice, prompt and attentive. Menu as you can imagine is mainly burgers and slightly limited. I personally ordered a b&b burger which is like a bacon burger with a habanero jam on it. It was a really good burger. A bit on the smaller side from looks but very feeling. The jam on it had a nice kick and flavor and the burger was cooked to perfection. The bun also featured a unique and great taste. My buddy got the chain burger and without spoiling his future review I think it will be safe to say that he has a pleasant experience as well. Overall very cool and nice place with tasty burgers. As mentioned in not a huge burger guy. I mean I like them but I'm not a "let's go grab a burger form a sit down establishment" type person. However, I'd absolutely come back here. I'll Add it to a long list of really good Nulu places to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Triple D spot in Louisville's NULU "new Louisville" area. Parking is a little confusing, since the painting on the parking stoppers has faded away, but if you go all the way north into the lot those spots are all for Grind. I got the southern which has a spicy pimento cheese spread on it. The burger was cooked exactly to my medium rare request. Great beefy flavor, toasted bun, and not to spicy pimento cheese, NICE. Hand cut fries with seasoning were spot on too. My only complaint more fries, please. I wish 1/3 burgers didn't cost $16. Huge selection of bourbons, and they were doing Wednesday happy hour pint nights!

Yelp
Stopped in Louisville on way out of town and had lunch at Grind Burger. I had the Southern Burger and he had the B&B Burger. Little pricey I thought but quite yummy!

Yelp
Grind Burger Kitchen was the first stop on my journey to find my favorite burger place in Louisville and it didn't disappoint. Located downtown on market st. in the heart of Nulu it is a great spot to stop in while doing some shopping or exploring. It is surrounded by shops, bars, and breweries everything you could ever need. When my wife and I arrived the place was fairly packed for a Saturday morning so we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. Service was great, the bartender was very nice and attentive. I went with the classic Grind burger, diner style, with their ghost pepper mayo added for a little heat. The burger was cooked perfectly and was a perfect portion size and the brussels were flavorful, crisp, with the perfect amount of char on them. All in all everything was great, I look forward to trying some of their specialty burgers, the B&B sounded really interesting. Oh and if you like craft beer they have a nice local draft selection!
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
The service was great. The Cuban was absolutely fantastic and I also enjoyed the B&B burger with an added egg. The ghost Mayo, homemade ranch and smoked ketchup were a very nice added touch! Highly recommend and glad I didn't listen to the other negative reviews here.

Yelp
Years. That's how long it's been since our last visit to Grind. Our first visit was less than friendly and it kept us choosing other restaurants when in the area. I'm glad we circled back. We stopped in around 8p on a Thursday. Fairly decent crowd but we were seated right away by our server. He applauded my choice of a prickly pear margarita and he didn't lie, it was great. Both my husband and I ordered the Grind Burger. Nothing fancy, all the basics and a huge burger. Nicely cooked and juicy despite its size. Loved the fries too. Service was much better this round, from start to finish. Casual spot and a local favorite. If you're in the mood for a burger this is one to try.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Liked the vibe and everything was quick. Would recommend to others and come back again
google avatar

Yelp
Service was awesome - our server , Evan was so sweet and attentive! Burgers came out hot and full of flavor. I love their fries. Ambiance is casual. We will be back!
google avatar

Anitra M.

Yelp
Quality smashed burger with innovative flavor. I had the B&B without one of the B's (Brie cheese) but it was still scrumptious. It is served with a smoky bacon and habanero jam which was a really tasty combo. The burger is quite large and I didn't want to eat the whole thing but I did. The guilt! The side of Brussels sprouts was also THE BOMB! Don't get these as a healthy substitute for fries because no parts of these were healthy. But man they were good and a little bit spicy. Running to my nearest gym but it was worth it.

James P.

Yelp
I know they're known for their burgers, but I had the best fish sandwich I've ever had in my adult life here. Bartender (Preston) on the E Maeket St location is a hell of a bartender and storyteller. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Erik L.

Yelp
Wow. Had the B&B burger and Cuban sandwich. Both were incredible!! Must stop place in Louisville!!!
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
I enjoyed my burger here at the grind Burger. We stopped in here on a Friday and I got the diner style burger and fries and I really did enjoy it. I thought the atmosphere the place was cool the food itself was good and is not nice clean building that had a lot of neat little sculptures and stuff on the inside also
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
Recommend the smash burger. Always a solid choice. The buns are so soft! We frequently get it to go and take to West Sixth for their Run Club- never disappointed

Tonya J.

Yelp
The food was awesome but the service was even better. I have to eat gluten free and Christopher was very knowledgeable & patient going over the menu with me. Thank you!

Mark G.

Yelp
We had a larger party. The staff at was great and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Food was delicious, atmosphere was great, service was a little slow but honestly they were super nice so I would go back regardless!

Yelp
Great burger selection and multiple different seating options. Love having a burger place like this in Nulu.

Yelp
Went here for dinner last night with my sister. I got the veggie burger with their kale salad and she got the grind burger (no cheese) with house fries. The veggie patty is a blend of hearty vegetables/grains like quinoa, lentils and mushrooms. It was deliciously tangy, thanks to the smoked ketchup. The vegan (gluten-free) bun has the texture and taste of a biscuit, but it doesn't crumble. A+ for the delicious salad, the pumpkin seeds are great with the dressing and it was mixed well. My sister said the fries were standard house fries; browned and oily, what you could expect at a barbecue place perhaps, and the burger was really good (a 10/10) with a crispy bun and patty which she requested medium-rare. She said that the textures complimented one another very well.

Deirdre K.

Yelp
I got food poisoning! Vomiting starting within less than an hour. Ordered the BBB with kale salad. The place also feels dingy and divey in not a great way. I never leave reviews but this was horrid and ruined my weekend trip to Louisville.
google avatar

Erin C.

Yelp
I've always loved this place! I always get the chicken sandwich and its one of my favorites. Tonight I got it and it was shredded chicken, which was still really good. It was also very spicy, which was not indicated on the menu. I'm not that mad about it but it threw me off. I had tried their fries and they were SO salty!! The service was pretty good. A little pricey and we didn't even get to see the bill before we paid.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
One of the few restaurants open in downtown, what with coronavirus and protests, so I was pleased to find they're ready for customers. I had friendly service and they were happy to take care of me. I chose the "Southern" burger, which came with a sharp pimento cheese, bacon and spicy dill pickles. Hold the bun. Yep, they were spicy and it was delicious. For my side, I swapped out fries for Brussels sprouts and they were also delicious. Staff is wearing masks, tables are well spread apart and menus are wiped down with sanitizers. Inexpensive meal and I enjoyed it. Grind has their own parking and there is also outside seating. [Review 13524 overall, 843 of 2020.]

Yelp
I just recently moved to Louisville from New England. This place easily has the best burger I've ever eaten. Every bite gets better. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Louisville or visiting Louisville. You will not be disappointed.

Brek S.

Yelp
Wow! This place was amazing from the food to the service to the drinks! It's not a fancy place, but it's comfortable and you'll feel welcome. The B&B burger was a great combo of Brie and bacon and some amazing sauce. One of the best specialty burgers I've had. The kale salad was delicious and packed a flavor punch. The servers were friendly and fast and gave great recommendations. Great place to grab a bite!

Efren C.

Yelp
The waiter asked me how I want my burger I said medium rare but when I got the Burger it was a smash burger so thin that I don't know how you can cook it medium rare. Really disappointed.
