Coffee and Cocktail Chain Grind Will Open New Restaurant in Greenwich | Eater London

"Opening at the former site of Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Italian in Greenwich, this will be the chain’s biggest London restaurant, featuring a 160-cover dining room alongside a takeaway coffee bar. Owned by David Abrahamovitch, the group is pursuing a national and travel-hub expansion—including a planned first station site at London Bridge (SE1), further airport and train-station openings, and ambitions to sell its coffee in supermarkets—and supplemented those plans with a £750,000 crowdfunding round that closed at 255% of target. The crowdfunding page touted ambitious operational goals for the coming year (a 200-strong team making 1 million cups of coffee, smashing 80,000 avocados, breaking 500,000 eggs and serving 75,000 of its famous Espresso Martinis). Rooted in Antipodean all-day, all-night café culture, the concept has evolved into small-plate territory to bridge breakfast, lunch and evening menus." - James Hansen

The atmosphere was great, comfortable seating, spacious, bright, really nice colour scheme, very specific but good vibe to it. The service was good, we got greeted quick and seated well, but we had go wait ages to get the bill as we were not checked in on at all after ordering and being served our food. Portion sizes for the food was good/filling. The Acai bowl was nice, but very standard, nothing unique. The skin on fries were great, perfectly salted and crispy. The buttermilk chicken burger was incredibly disappointing. Even though the hot sauce and slaw was nice, the actual chicken and the after taste was not. The chicken didn’t taste like anything at all, and the aftertaste was very similar to raw bread. The Americano was good and not too bitter, and the Yuzu & Ginger Iced Tea was also nice (I did add some sugar to it but it was perfectly fine without).

The restaurant was lovely, spacious and bright, although the upholstery on the seats could do with a makeover or deep clean. My friends and I were seated in the garden section we didn't have to wait too long to be seated even for a Saturday brunch. Murad who served us was polite, all smiles and helpful in choosing what to have. The food was delicious. I had the breakfast burrito, we also ordered the sweetcorn courgette fritters and the Turkish eggs, all were presented beautifully.

We had a great experience at grind from the moment we walked in. The space is large and modern looking, tastefully decorated and well furnished. The lighting, the green plants, the wall decor, the music - everything gives out an effortless cool but cozy vibe. Food was delicious- I had some sort of mushroom stew for brunch, unlike anything I tasted before. Really well prepared! The sweet potato wedges were also very nice. Service was super nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

Second brunch visit, still a star experience! Went with 2 toddlers and had a good time! Spacious, beautiful and big tables were all well appreciated. Special place to park strollers too. They had special kids menu which was fairly priced and included orange juice. Kids bowls provided. Adults menu had many options both for lunch and brunch. Not too impressed with pistachio latte, but food had good size portions and very filling. It was a very relaxing meal, staff were chill with the noise the kids made. Would come back.

Love Grind in Greenwich , staff are great food is reallY amazing good menu two visits this time we in London - down Side we could we could not go into main part the resultant with a six month granddaughter.. as she 6 months old . Also wish Grind did ESE pods .

As someone with a nut allergy and lactose intolerance, the server (Scarlett) gave her experienced opinion on the best lunch options that cater to my intolerance. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience!

The space is so trendy and cool. That being said, I was worried the food wouldn't live up to our expectations. However, the food really was good! I got the vegetarian breakfast and everything was perfect. I especially loved the sweet potato pancake thing and the homemade baked beans. Get the bottomless Prosecco - such a steal. They're really good about refilling folks.

come here for the vibes. half of the restaurant is a huge greenhouse area - a little warm to be frank, though once you walk through the greenhouse, you'll arrive at a stretch of outdoor garden patio seating. perfect place to order a couple drinks and relax on a summer afternoon.

Value for Money: 3/5 Ambience: 3.75/5 Presentation: 4.75/5 Taste: 4/5 Overall, we had a good time here. The ambience was nice, although our seating wasn't cleaned before we sat down (crumbs and dirt we had to brush off ourselves). The food was good, but on par for value at a fancier restaurant (small portions for high price). Presentation and taste was on point though, we enjoyed our meals and would probably come back to have cocktails here again.
