Google
On the hunt for a caffeine fix, I stumbled upon Grinder’s Coffee Bar—a cozy little gem with a fun menu featuring coffee, tea, and even CBD options. We grabbed two cappuccinos, a cinnamon oat iced latte (so good!), and a couple of pastries. Everything hit the spot! Seating is a bit tight, and getting out of the parking lot is a mini adventure thanks to the busy intersection, but all and all — good experience.

Google
Omg! I had no idea that this was the OG location before the Wild locations! Super friendly staff and they are willing to give great recommendations! I got the honey lavender (hot) and a steak and potato empanada! Empanada was so big and FILLING and ONLY $7! The only con is parking can be a nightmare lol- I was lucky!

Google
A cute cafe with nicely done interiors design and lots of green plants! They have different types of seatings, including high top seatings and couches. They also have outlets, which are great for cafe working. I ordered the matcha latter, which was kinda disappointing with lots of powder clumps. However, the staff was nice and friendly—they remade me a drink and this time it was good 😋 Not the best place for matcha latte, but would still revisit!

Kandra

Google
This is a super cozy spot to chill and get some projects/work done or even sit and chat with a friend like I did! I think I got the white chocolate latte with cbd and a blueberry🫐muffin! 😋 I’ll definitely be back here🙂 One major drawback is the parking situation. I drove my suburban and didn’t realize how tight parking is. I recommend a smaller vehicle and prepare to park somewhere else if parking isn’t available. I got lucky and parking was available once I circled back a second time. 😉 Other than that, great vibes!

Google
Small cafe but very nicely decorated. Coffee tasted decent nothing extraordinary. But their almond croissant is hands down one of the best in town. The staff were very well behaved. They have outdoor seating arrangement as well. Definitely would like to come again.

Google
Great staff. Freshly roasted coffee. Amazing espresso. Ethiopian was on tap for that espresso. I will stop back by again soon! Had a moment to come back the next day. Some more espresso, some wonderful Colombian pour over, amazing cold brew. Everything here was awesome. The staff was amazing.

Google
Compact but relaxed coffee bar in the West U area I tried their Matcha Latte and it wasn’t too sweet but wish it had more matcha flavor. The coffee shop portion itself is pretty small but is attached to a CBD shop with additional seating in a comfy couch, armchairs, and a large countertop for additional seating and bathrooms. The interior is bright and airy but chill. I do wish there were more electrical outlets to charge devices but it’s otherwise a great place to study or work! There’s a limited parking lot but the shop isn’t too busy.

Google
I think I found my new favorite coffee spot. Even tho I do not partake in CBD, they have regular lattes / drinks. The croissants are so taste. The ladies behind the counter are friendly and patient. Not a lot of seating, but still a relaxing area.

Yelp
One of the yummiest iced vanilla lattes with cold foam I've had in Houston! The baristas were friendly and helpful when I ordered. The drinks are sweet and creamy, and I also tried the iced matcha latte as well. The cold foam itself is thick and creamy, making it one of the most enjoyable parts of the drink in my opinion. The location itself is quite small and the parking lot is even more limited. There were only 3 small circular tables to sit at against a wall booth, making it not the best place to get work done if that is a location you're looking for. Fortunately, it wasn't busy when I went, making it a decent spot for me to sit and work in. Otherwise, it isn't a coffee spot I go to often when I want to get work done. However, for a quick pick-me-up, their drinks are delicious!

Yelp
But for the parking situation (limited spaces and adjacent street parking is by permit only), this would be a 5 star spot. Really diverse menu with fantastic seasonal drinks, and a food menu that was really good. The empanadas are absolutely huge (2 of them fed three of us quite well).

Yelp
I was recommended Grinders by a friend who said their matcha was the best in town. I decided to give it a shot. The parking was tight and tricky (especially to pull out) when I arrived, they unfortunately let me know ahead of time that they unfortunately were out of matcha. The CBD store connected is associated with Wild. Which I believe it's also has its own coffee chain, and wish they were more upfront of their association with it. I got a chai tea with two shots, after tip it was a total of $10. It was an alright drink, I couldn't finish it and I tend to finish my drinks as soon as I sit down. Other than that, the places was cute, clean, well kept and the employees were communicative and friendly.

Yelp
Grinders the coffee shop brand of the parent company Wild. They make a solid cup of coffee! They are my favorite place to get coffee. I think they use the Amaya brand for their coffees. I usually get a oat milk latte but occasionally I'll explore and try one of their seasonal creations. Theh also have an assortment of pastries available along with vegan options! This location is one part coffee shop and the other part sells various thc products and the associated products that go along with it. There is also an option to order online for your drink is ready when you get there!

Brittany D.

Yelp
Too small. Coffee was good. Service was quick, if there's a lot of people not much space.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
Great for a quick stop and go. Very cute ambiance inside, about 4-6 chairs outside. Parking is limited here with some parallel spots. Ordered the strawberry kiss (strawberry matcha latte), and it was really good! Not too sweet. Overall, Grinder's Coffee Bar is a pleasant stop and would come back to try other items. Not the largest interior but about 4-6 chairs inside.

Yelp
I really enjoy their flavor options here and the online ordering option is super helpful! Last time I came I tried an iced Toffee Coffee and added CBD. It was super good!!! In my opinion the CBD has a very minor effect if any. So don't be too scared to try it if you want to. Not a whole lot of seating inside or outside. Not alot of parking either. More of a to-go place. But it is nice inside. Love that they have the attached CBD Apothecary as well.

Yelp
Service matters ! Taste is even better ! Worth the ambiance . Nice and quiet . You wont regret the trip !

Yelp
I will definitely be making this my late night work spot for now on. It's super chill and stays open 'til 9pm!!! Coffee shops back at home would never!! Plus it's a place not only where you can get coffee but you can add CBD into your coffee which is like a bonus!! The place was super zen too even being decorated for spooky season. The plants and lighting were perfect. Also, don't be fooled by the two tables in the front by the counter. There are additional seating options outside and through the opening to the left where the restrooms are also located. Tonight I ordered a White Widow hot with half the sweetness and CBD added (which is an additional cost). I love that they didn't mind customers asking the price of the latte with or without it. The latte was super tasty and I felt amazing afterwards. I will definitely be back to try other things especially an iced latte, my number one go to! Happy Yelping!!

Yelp
Grinders is a coffee BAR/ dispensary. Here's the break down... Solid coffee. Good service. Small space. Not much parking.
google avatar

Adrienne B.

Yelp
Love the Matcha Latte here. I ordered mine with honey and oat milk which is my go to whenever I get an iced matcha latte. It was so creamy and just the right sweetness! I wish it was a little more matcha-y but that's more of a personal preference on my end :) Friendly service, good vibes; not a lot of seating but the seating they do have is nice.
google avatar

Yelp
The worst expresso I ever had. They tried to explain its the pure beans. I grew up on all kinds of coffee and in 60 years never tasted such garbage. Sorry but check your system.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop that my friend showed me. This is now my second time going back. It's super cute inside (room for 3 two top tables) and 2 two top tables outside (but it's a busy street so probably wouldn't sit out there unless I have to. It's connected to a dispensary so there's also more open space on that side. The main reason I came back is because I'm obsessed with the Strawberry Kiss Matcha. Holy moly it's good. If you've been to Wild, this is very similar vibes. They even use the same coffee I believe because there are bags of Wild brand coffee on the shelves. Super cute and will be coming back!

Stephanie H.

Yelp
This place is good! When we travel, we like to try local coffee spots. This one popped up and immediately I could tell I was going to like it. First, we were offered a free drink because they had an extra cinnamon oat latte. My husband had that one and loved it. I ordered the chocolate diesel and OMG. I don't know what they made the foam with but it was amazingly sweet! This drink is definitely on the sweeter side but oh so good! The ham and Asiago croissant was to die for, and the white chocolate macadamia cookie was also good.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
One of the best coffee shops in Houston. Nothing is ever too sweet and they have fun flavor combinations. We usually make coffee at home but if we are ever in the mood for extra special coffee, Grinder's is our go to spot.
google avatar

Jando S.

Yelp
Who would've thought that West U would be the home for CBD and coffee? Grinder's has brought a unique pairing to the area and is one of the only establishments in the entire city to offer it. Coffee buzz suddenly has a new meaning. There are two entities here, which is a legitimate CBD store and a coffee shop. The latter is what most people are here for and is small, but quaint. The WiFI is strong and there are only a handful of areas to sit. Most folks are in takeout mode, which is understandable especially given the limited parking situation. I tend to enjoy their cold brew ($4), which is potent and very tasty. The latte ($4) and the cappuccino ($5) are also quality additions to their menu. I think for most first time visitors, the CBD coffee concoctions are the main draw. They'll be the most expensive lattes on the menu, but I think the golden goat (tumeric + honey + 20mg CBD) and the white widow (oat milk, brown sugar, white mocha) are the ones that I enjoyed the most. Customer service is pretty good and they have a limited selection of daily pastries to go along with the drinks. Happy hour is daily from 1-4pm ($1 off beers) and be sure to check out their seasonal drinks.
google avatar

Ro R.

Yelp
The matcha here is really good, I got the lavendar oat matcha. Employees were friendly and helpful. Inside seating is very limited. The parking lot is extremely small and is shared with the other businesses. The pastries offered here are the same as the cafe in Pearland, from a local vendor, so they sell out quick! The almond and chocolate croissant were really big, but they have smaller ones too.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
Doubling as a CBD shop, this coffee shop is definitely unique. Coming in, you are surrounded by a very distinct smell (I'm assuming the CBD). It threw me off and was unpleasant to me, but it wasn't overpowering so it just took a few minutes to get used to. You're first greeted by the display of ginormous, delicious looking croissants and other pastries. They have croissants of all varieties: butter, hot chocolate, Turkey and pesto, pistachio, passion fruit and a few more! I didn't try one but they were huge and looked perfectly flakey. The menu for the coffee is pretty standard, along with the prices, except the standout - the CBD infused drinks. The CBD infused drinks were around $9. You could also opt for a typically coffee drink and add CBD. We shared a hot latte with oat milk and it was just alright, nothing special. Overall, a good place to try out if you're in the area and looking for something a bit different.

Yelp
From the moment I walked in, it just made me smile. For me the decor and vibe say happy. The staff was so sweet and very knowledgeable of the products they have. The coffee was just right, and the kolache, SO GOOD! It was nice to chill and relax on the sofa in the apothecary and enjoy our breakfast. We also picked up some goodies to try. We'll definitely be back...it's such a cool spot!
google avatar

Elnara K.

Yelp
Sooo yummy. Creamy & perfect level of sweetness. (not to sweet) Very nice baristas and clean cafe

Guadalupe V.

Yelp
Been here twice, and the interior style is cute and cozy, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, they are also quick with their service, and the coffee tastes amazing!
google avatar

Trisha A.

Yelp
Service was good - he made suggestions that I took and enjoyed. Music was good and not overwhelming. No idea about the food. Yelp menu shows a lot more options than what I saw in their display case which was a little disappointing but not the end of the world. Parking out front is limited and can be challenging to leave given you have to back up onto Kirby. Access to CBD store next door too
google avatar

Deepika N.

Yelp
A houston classic for coffee. Grinder's has amazing coffee, but their syrups really put them ahead of other coffee shops in the area. If you are a fan of honey lavender, they have THE best honey lavender latte in town. If you're looking for a lil ~relaxation~ you can add CBD to any of their drinks! Ive tried it once and the CBD oil didnt compromise the flavor of the drink. The actual space inside is small with not a lot of seating. I usually go inside the attached smoke shop to do work since they have a bit more seating and a sofa. Not a lot of parking either, but this place is usually not too packed. Open later than most coffee shops till 9!!!

Kinsley G.

Yelp
Got the strawberry kiss matcha, pistachio matcha and the banana latte... YUMMMM. Cant wait to go back

Hailey T.

Yelp
Good coffee especially if you love to garden the vibes are good altho sometimes can be a little pretentious with other regulars who hang out here. Staff has always been super nice and welcoming tho!
google avatar

Varsha V.

Yelp
Very little parking and study space. The matcha was very creamy and perfectly sweet. Would recommend! Friendly service!
google avatar

Nina V.

Yelp
A very aesthetic shop in rice village area. My sister dropped by once before she took me and I was curious why she wanted to go again. The menu had a good selection of drinks to choose from, and I really enjoyed the holiday menu! Got a gingerbread latte and asked them if it came sweet or not. Was told no so I didn't adjust sweetness. The drink tasted just like a gingerbread cookie and I actually wished there was a little more sweetness! Still a great drink and concept overall. My sister got a latte and she said it tasted good but lacked a strong coffee flavor. The pastries here are to die for. We like the guava morning bun. Highly recommend stopping by - the workers are very nice too!
google avatar

Juliana L.

Yelp
I love coffee. I love tea. If I were a hipster. This is where I'd be. The baristas were friendly. The atmosphere was adorable. How someone couldn't like this place is simply deplorable. To jasmine tea I went. I was happy with what I spent. Inside was small. I still took a seat. The atmosphere, the view, the tea. It can't be beat. Now enough with my rhymes. You know what to do. Get yourself some coffee. And maybe a sweet treat too.
google avatar

Jessica Z.

Yelp
This place is super cute but has very limited seating if you are looking to study. We did not try any of their coffee but picked up some pastries for a quick bite. We ordered the apple tart croissant and feta spinach pastry which were both super yummy. The feta spinach was really flavorful and complimented well with the crunchy dough. The apple tart croissant was very big and topped with apple filling and was more dense than a croissant but still a great choice. Will for sure try out their coffee next time!
google avatar

Moni T.

Yelp
They have a variety of novel pastry selections, such as Mac & cheese kolaches, S'more scones, thick (double layered) chocolate chip cookies, and other amazing-looking traditional items like butter croissants, ham & cheese croissants, blueberry muffins. I would recommend the s'more scones, marshmallow on top and chocolate on the inside. After they heat it up, the taste of the buttery scone combined with the melted chocolate is just heavenly. It is a little pricey, $5.41 (with tax) for a single scone, although it is an unique one you can't get it anywhere else. The reason for only four stars is because they don't offer any decaf coffee or other decaf options here.
google avatar

Aislynn G.

Yelp
Such a cute and unique concept. The parking situation will definitely test your driving skills and the seating area is super small so I wouldn't recommend for studying. But the coffee is really good and attached to a CBD shop.
google avatar

Adrienne W.

Yelp
Amazing coffee!! But also love their breakfast tacos! Come visit you won't be disappointed. Hey I get it if cbd isn't your thing you still will have an amazing coffee. The baristas have always been helpful and kind. If you have questions ask, they are great!
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
I came here after yoga to try out a new coffee spot, I didn't realize it was an infused kind of coffee but I'm here for it. The girls at the front weren't very inviting when I walked in. I said hello and Goodmorning and they just "what can I get you?" So that's really all I didn't like. But it's okay it was early in the morning and I know people are still waking up. The drink I got was very delicious. It was a honey bun latte and I got it with the CBD. The cbd was definitely working haha I would definitely come back to try out other drinks. They even have a built in dispensary which is cool!
google avatar

Adela M.

Yelp
I've chai was delicious. The vibe was chill and relaxed not too many people in there. Seating is limited but the coffee shop itself isn't too big so it's understandable. The CBD shop next door is cute even as someone who doesn't partake, it's an interesting pairing but it works! We got our coffee and croissant quickly and the workers were very nice.

Susan D.

Yelp
Stopped in late morning for a quick take-out energy boost, but enjoyed the vibe so much I stayed and enjoyed the atmosphere. Paige and Victoria are a ballet of speed and efficiency working together. Their synergy of knowledge of the menu, options with CBD and joy-filled passion for ensuring the patrons are given an experience as opposed to just rote transfer of orders was such a pleasure to observe. Though I'm typically a simple espresso or unsweetened latte lover, the ladies convinced me to try the Chocolate Diesel with CBD. It was a rare treat for me to bliss out on something a little sweeter than my usual, but I really loved that the CBD seemed to absolve the typical caffeine jitters or crash I can have after a little sugar. That was *magic* in a cup! Thank you ladies for convincing me to step out of my usual and try something new. I'll be back soon!
google avatar

Mariah M.

Yelp
Though grinders is on the pricey side for coffee, I always go when I need a pick me up or have meetings in the area. My favorite is the Toffee Coffee with CBD and oat milk . But really I'd recommend any of the flavors! They also have a good breakfast taco with Chinese sausage and their selection of pastries are pretty good as well. The cafe is cute but small and connected to the CBD shop and the lot is small as well so be sure to plan ahead when visiting

Yelp
Grinder's Coffee Bar in Houston, Texas is a delightful cafe that offers a unique twist by also being paired with a CBD store. The combination of a cute cafe atmosphere and the availability of CBD products creates a distinct and memorable experience for coffee enthusiasts. The menu at Grinder's Coffee Bar offers a variety of enticing options, and during my visit, I had the pleasure of trying two of their specialty lattes: the Honey Lavender Latte and the Cinnamon Oat Latte. Both drinks were enjoyable between my partner and I. The atmosphere at Grinder's Coffee Bar is inviting and cozy, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. The interior design is charming, with rustic accents and comfortable seating options. The combination of the coffee bar and the adjacent CBD store adds a unique touch, creating a space where customers can enjoy their drinks while exploring CBD products if they wish. Only giving this 4 stars because when I visited, the parking lot was a bit congested and there was a driver that blocked off two spots! I know it's not Grinder's fault, but it took us a bit to park and order our drinks :(

Kahmarrie R.

Yelp
I have driven by this place more times than I can count. I finally decided to stop in and grab something for lunch. It was a cute little spot with lots of natural light. I was greeted by the lady at the counter and she helped me decide, as it was my first time. I decided to go with the smoked Turkey sandwich. It was really delicious!
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
This is a small coffee shop in a great location, next to a CDB Shop. They have many options to add to your coffee drinks for around $5 or 10. The seating is somewhat limited with 3 small tables and 3 barstools inside, and a couple tables outside. There is additional seating in the CBD shop next door as well. I tried the cinnamon oat latte which was pretty good and not very sweet at all. They also have some pastries including the brisket croissant which seems to be pretty popular as a few customers were asking for it during my visit

An N.

Yelp
The coffee did not taste good at all. I thought I had caught them on a bad day but after trying my friends drink AND going a second time I think whatever ingredients they're using just do not go well together. other than that the vibes and workers were fine just the drinks themselves are not it.
google avatar

Thuy P.

Yelp
My 1st time here. We were looking for a coffee shop close by rice village and found this place. I saw a tres leches croissant and was hesitant to buy it but the combination of the name intrigued me so I decided to give it a try and OMG the best croissant ever. Very flaky and not moist as I suspected. Strongly recommended for u guys to try. The coffee shop is connecting to the CBD store so u can also cruise around after your coffee.
google avatar

Carolina B.

Yelp
Excellent matcha lattes! I also really enjoy their ready-made chia pudding. Small interior, but still a few seats. The staff that I've interacted with is very friendly! A cute shop with the worst parking situation lol. Being at the corner of an intersection with barely any room to back out of the parking spots makes for a difficult situation. Otherwise, side streets or next-door businesses have a little space.
google avatar

Danelle B.

Yelp
Decent coffee but horrible location. Not much parking and pretty active area to be sitting outside.

Yelp
Most recent edit: i left the manager an email detailing everything. He called me about 2 hours later and sorted everything! He actually got his manager at the location to find my jewellery:) His name is Adyson and it was a pleasure speaking to him. He also assured me that he'll look into the employee that spoke to me bc she was very ecstatic about me not having my jewellery lol. Terrible and disgusting staff. I was going there a lot even though it's damn over priced. The vibe used to be good. However, today I was there and I left my jewellery. Literally less than 5 minutes later I called and the sad excuse of a woman said she threw it in the dumpster. Within seconds? And why not the trash in the coffee place? Pretty sure that's NOT true. Maybe she wanted it for herself lol. Terrible place. Update: called again and I asked if I could come look for it. the same woman picked up. Asked her for her name so I could make a complaint. She cut the call on my face, without telling me her name or letting me come to look for it. Even more clear that she's trying to keep it for herself. Thieves!!!!

Yelp
This CBD adjacent store serves somewhat expensive coffee with some concept CBD infused coffee. Interior is tiny, and this small spot would have trouble seating more than five parties. Parking is also difficult, and one would risk backing out onto the very busy Kirby Road. I don't remember what roaster grinders uses, but their bean played well in iced latte, though it was somewhat unremarkable. Service is also fine, and the baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. This spot seems almost like an adjunct to the next-door CBD shop. Because of the limited interior, space, standard coffee, and price, I would probably only return if guaranteed a table. It's fairly good of a place to study at.
google avatar

Lynn M.

Yelp
Only giving 4 due to the small space and tight parking. The space is small and cute. It had the same vibe at wild (another coffee shop) Cinnamon oat latte iced: this was light and refreshing. The service was quick and everything was really nice. Shaken chai (seasonal item): this was delicious!
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Stopped in for a coffee but delighted to see a variety of croissants and even a taco. Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious. I just wish the tables were cleaned up so my kids and I could eat comfortably.

Yelp
Saw this coffee shop nearby my area this morning and I decided to try it. I ordered honey lavender latte, it was just ok and kinda bland not like other places i tried before. Pros: Decoration is cute, small but cozy space. Cons: limited parking, the cashier just waited me to order without asking if it's my first time or offer any recommendations, just staring and did not speak :)
