Grindhouse Killer Burgers Reports Impossible Burger Shortage, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"Grindhouse Killer Burgers, a burger chain with locations across Atlanta and Athens, is experiencing sporadic outages of the Impossible Burger. Owner Alex Brounstein advises customers to call ahead to ensure availability. The chain sells around 500 Impossible Burgers daily and plans to offer them at two Atlanta airport stalls this summer. The restaurant claims to have introduced the Impossible Burger to Atlanta in 2016. The shortage is expected to last through mid-June, causing frustration among customers and restaurant owners alike." - Beth McKibben

You must try the cheese-loaded French fries and the signature double patty burger — absolute essentials here. If you’re in the mood for something lighter or want to share, I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and onion rings as sides. The rooftop outdoor vibe is perfect — ideal for a casual date or just chilling with friends. And the house beer? Only $3 a glass — insanely good value. It was so smooth and tasty, I downed three glasses without even realizing it. This spot is a total gem — great food, amazing atmosphere, and unbeatable prices.

Google
Burger was really good! Kind of confusing when it’s your first visit. Bar and outdoor is upstairs but if you order your food downstairs then you can go upstairs. You won’t know this until you enter on first floor and then try to go up. Reasonable prices.

Google
The food is so good here but the service is awful. We sat at the bar and the rudeness of the entire staff was unacceptable. I’m a bartender myself and would never be so caddie and standoffish , the way we were greeted ! it was like they didn’t even care we were about to sit down and spend money. The bartender literally rolled her eyes when I asked to hold on to the beer menu because I was trying to decide what I wanted. A server came in and the bartenders all huddled around to listen to a story about his first Waymo ride . The amount of cuss words and “f” bombs dropped would have made a sailor blush. When are food came out the food runner was trying to find where the food went I guess they got their seat numbers mixed up. My tray had fries on it . I told him I didn’t order fries he said well then I’m going to eat them . He was rude too . The whole experience was awful. I had the Dixie burger which was to die for the fires were golden brown crispy and made to perfection. But because of the rude attitude from the staff we won’t be back . If you see these two stay away.

Google
Double grindhouse style burger was better than expected. It was a very good burger. The fries were terrible. Switch to handcut or take them off the menu.

Google
We ate upstairs as the full service bar. The food is delicious, and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend customizing your own burger and finishing it off with a chiller. Note the upstairs is adult only, 21 and up.

Kunal Ganguly

Google
Arguably the best burger I've ever had! Will definitely come back.

Google
My husband loves a good burger ! We were in the neighborhood and checked the reviews and decided to stop in! We went upstairs to the bar area, 21 or older to enter! The service was good! The drinks were good! The burgers were great! We’re from the Midwest and grilled onions mean a lot they had Maxwell style green onions!!! I got the Grindhouse style burger and my husband built his own….Delicious! They only do Medium or Well done burgers. Either way they were delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Google
Truly the best burgers in town. Try the double burger Euro style, that's the killer of the house for me. No complaints, I just have a recommendation to the owners. Switch your walk up order process to in table waiter service. Your missing out on additional business. Many times I want another beer and I don't feel like going back to the line and placing an order. Same for dessert. Other than that, the place is awesome.

Yelp
Food was great, ambiance was amazing, and the service was top notch, I feel like the score on this place is low for how the actual experience is 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
I recently visited this venue and it is a stand alone building with a small parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised by the bar area upstairs which you have to be 21+. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, perfect for grabbing a drink with friends. I tried the Yankee burger and was impressed by the juicy patty and flavorful toppings. However, I was a bit disappointed by the size of the cinnamon malt, as it was smaller than expected. Overall, I had a decent experience and wouldn't mind coming back for another burger.

Yelp
I came here around 7 pm and it was pretty empty.. which was a good thing! I was immediately greeted and I ordered a junior burger with onions and tomatoes on the side. Also some fries. I did get this food Togo to. It was a ten minute drive home and the food was still pretty warm. I would recommend eating it at the restaurant though because after a while when you put the sauce on the burger, the bun can get a little soggy. I loved the setting of the restaurant and the picture that they had was so cute! The tables were long enough to fit multiple people. And I also love the way they wrapped the burger. So accessible. I definitely will be coming back to try there milkshake! 8/10

Yelp
The place was dirty. Sweep a floor every once in a while. The hostess couldn't get much louder than a mumble The price of one small combo and a small burger was close to $30, and they asked for a tip for counter service. The burger was okay, but then we had to bus our own table - why did we tip? The whole experience was disappointing.

Yelp
If you want a solid burger that won't break the bank Gridhouse Brookhaven delivers. The staff is solid and get's orders out relatively fast. I met up for an animators luncheon and they handled our crew well. The Grindhouse, Cowboy and Dixie style burgers are my favorites. Check them out at least once if you can
google avatar

Yelp
You can get a burger a lot of places around Atlanta, but this is my favorite. Not pretentious at all. In fact, the opposite. They have multiple locations, none of which are open on Tuesdays. They all have a B-movie vibe. You can order a custom made burger with a ton of free toppings, or add some premium toppings for an upcharge. The only downside is that you cant order a burger less than medium. But their patties are flat, well seasoned, and they honestly have the best turkey burger I've had. Their chili is awesome and if you want to go big, get the dirty south fries.
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
Very tasty veggie burger. I also got a single beef patty for my dog. Can't go wrong with crinkle fries. Food came out quickly. Dog friendly patio.

Yelp
Skip this place. NASTY AF. The burgers were not seasoned at all!!! Major WASTE of time and money

Yelp
Oops! I forgot to snap a picture so I used a screenshot from their website (rookie move I know). Their beef is a blend of ground chuck and brisket. So less, right? That mixture is yummy, yummy in my tummy goodness before you do anything to it, but they didn't stop there. I ordered the single Grindhouse Style with raw onions in place of the grilled onions and fries. My mom ordered the onion rings. As for my burger, the meat moist, perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection and delicious. The bun was soft and yummy. My fries were good and crispy, but my mom's onion rings were . Hands down the BEST onion rings I've ever had in my life! Whichever batter they use is stellar. So crispy, so good. So, you walk up to the counter to order your food, then you're given a number placard to set on your table. A staff member brings the food to your table along with any condiments you request. Super nice staff! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back. Run, don't walk. ‍ You won't be disappointed. Since I forgot to snap a pic I used one from their website. ‍

Yelp
I came here for a late lunch and early dinner on a Sunday to find the establishment mostly empty. After reviewing the menu I opted for their Apache junior with drinks and fries. Seeing how thick the patties were, I was more than happy with my single especially couples with the free refillable drinks and good portion of crinkle french fries. I ordered my burger medium which I believe came out more so medium-well but it was still juicy. Fries were crispy and hot. Definitely suggest getting their Grindhouse specialty sauce to provide a bit of variety from the standard ketchup packets that come with it already. Overall, I had a good experience and would come again. Prices were fair and service was great, I recommend others to check them out too!

Yelp
This location is really nice. The food here is always consistent. You can make a custom burger or get a burger with one of the preselected combinations. They also have really good milkshakes and various other sides. The service is always super nice and helpful. They also have a bar so you could come here alone or with a group if you wanted to. I always get a burger cowboy style but they have many other options.
google avatar

Devon B.

Yelp
This is a great smash burger and I love that they have several fun topping options. Their sauce collection is also incredible. Service is good enough and ambiance on the second floor is very cute.
google avatar

Patric G.

Yelp
I'm always kinda bummed by the size of the burgers here, but they have crinkle fries, so I keep going.
google avatar

Derek S.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly. The burgers are as good as you can really find in atlanta. Somewhat resembles an in-n-out patty. They have cheap drinks and great food, pretty hard to go wrong.

Yelp
So I stopped by Grindhouse, there is one like 1 mile away and I had yet to come. I have no excuse lol! The setup is 2 floors, downstairs was petty quiet, but upstairs is where you can get drinks from (full bar). They also have an outdoor patio situation so if it's nice you can eat there as well. They had plenty of TVs on in order to watch the game. It's a good set up, plenty of seats and staff. The food... I got the cowboy style burger (double patty), frings, and Brussel sprouts. It's a burger spot so I expected it to be good. The burger came out good. The sides that I order, the brussel sprouts and fries, came out good too. The only thing was I feel like they gave children's portions though. I feel like I only got four or five onion rings all together. The Brussels sprouts were really good though they were sweet and had a pretty good kick to them as far as spice and flavor. I almost wanted to order more lol! Overall it was a good experience. I would go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely was not a fan of the food. We came in last night for dinner. It was Sunday around 6 and wasn't crowded. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I got the double grindhouse style burger. I got it cooked medium. The burger itself was just not super flavorful and it was just soggy honestly. I would not go back sadly. The fries were pretty good. I liked the sauces.
google avatar

Kiah R.

Yelp
The place is nice it has an upstairs 21+ only with a bar that is outdoor seating. There is outdoor seating downstairs as well and free parking but it is limited. I heard Grindhouse if good but the videos I've seen of are a different location not this location. I just got the Grindhouse burger & a fountain drink it was around $10. The burger itself the bun to me was sweet and softer than I would like for it to be, the burger itself was just okay, there wasn't much flavor to it so I was disappointed. The customer service was fine, they have free refills on fountain drinks and a very nice looking selection of alcoholic drinks.

Yelp
I tried the Brookhaven location for lunch today. I had checked out the menu online so I knew what to expect. Nice atmosphere overall with outdoor and indoor seating. There is a dog friendly patio downstairs. That's where the good vibes went south. So is this place counter order or table service? When I walked in there was an order counter. So I ordered and got a little number thing to put on my table and an empty cup to get my own soft drink. Then I wandered around and took a seat upstairs where I could watch a replay of last nights ball games. I was immediately approached by a waitress who told me if I ordered downstairs I needed to stay downstairs to get my food. That they would not look for me upstairs and I would never get my food. But she said once I got my food I could come back up. So I go downstairs, they bring my food, and I go back up. A different waitress approaches and says if I order downstairs I need to eat downstairs that I could not move from one are to another. I told her what the other waitress said and she said fine if that's what she told me sit wherever I want. Overall not a very welcoming experience. So on to the food. The total bill was 14.68 including a $2 tip. For counter service where I found my own table and fixed my own beverage. Not great but all would have been forgiven if the food was good. It wasn't. The fries are crinkle cut right out of a frozen bag. The ketchup is from Heinz and comes in foil packets. Still all would be forgiven with a decent burger. It was not to be, the burger was badly undercooked. I got a grind house burger, junior size, with fries and a drink. I figured that has to be a petty common order. Some may try to call that burger medium rare but it was still cold and uncooked in the center. I just are around the edges which were cooked and left the raw center on my plate. Once I sat down I received not one word of service or help from anyone working here. Pretty pour experience overall. This might be a great place to get a drink after work. But if you want a burger go elsewhere. At grindhouse I found premium pub prices, below average service, and food below acceptable fast food quality standards. I really can't see myself giving them another chance. I see they have multiple locations so perhaps I will try another one of them eventually but I doubt it. Since I already rated them a single star I will had two more complaints. They don't take cash, card only, and parking is very limited.

Yelp
Grindhouse is consistently good but never great. Lately there have been a lot of signs up about hiring for various positions, and you can really feel that they're understaffed. On our last visit we ordered "frings" and when our order came out it was just (cold, old) onion rings. I mentioned that it should have been frings instead of rings and the guy said "well they rang you up for rings" and walked away. He was so matter of fact and unconcerned that I honestly thought he was going to drop fries or recheck our order but he totally disappeared. It was really weird. Anyway I like the burgers (go ahead and get a double, the patties are thin) and the Large Marge is a solid drink, but would be even better with a salted rim.
google avatar

Mick D.

Yelp
I love Grindhouse. I love the burgers. I love the shakes. I love the Dirty South Fries. I love the boozy shakes, too. I love the staff (they're fast). I love the CHEESY POOFS! The cheesy poofs, man. That's what I love. Heck yes, give me a Double Euro Style with some Cheesy Poofs, and a Grandpa's Candy milkshake. Mmmmmm. I'm sorry, what were you saying?
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this place and my experience. Brookhaven location is very clean and has own parking. Service was swift and food was amazing. Tried a regular beef burger and a Turkey burger. Beef was more smashburger style, Turkey burger was a bit thicker. Buns are delicious, Pattie's are small so don't be afraid to get the double. Sauces are delicious! Tried the Fring's (onion rings and fries) and the sweet potato fries. Fring's were hot and crisp and super flavorful. Sweet potatoes thin and crispy and delicious. This location was clean all over, including bathrooms! Self serve area for beverages also nice and tidy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I wish I had a location closer but I will go out of my way once in a while to eat these tasty burgers.

Yelp
This is the ultimate Friday night hang. My boyfriend and I come here mainly for the Dirty South Fries - loaded with chili, pico de gallo, bacon, cheddar sauce - I'm adding a picture and a picture is worth a thousand words! The menu is also entertaining, cocktails being cheekily listed as "Snooty Drinks." The staff has always been hospitable and down to earth, and the burgers never disappoint. It's no wonder that it's one of Atlanta's favorite digs!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious every time!!! The service is excellent and the atmosphere is fun! The veggie burger is a must! And cheese fries are mouthwatering!
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered 3 burgers, 1 veggie and 2 regular. Also we had fries and the Brussel sprouts. Everything was amazing, the veggie burger was delicious especially.

Yelp
I was happy to learn GKB offered both Vegan (Impossible) & Veggie (Black Bean) Burgers. Unfortunately, both the To-Go & delivery efforts messed up my order. After calling the restaurant on each occasion, I was able to get a courtesy replacement at my convenience. My poor burger was undercooked, thrown together & not that delightful. I'm not going to cancel out GHKB & will try dining in the next time to see if the experience is better. What I'm learning with phone orders regardless of delivery (more-so) or pick up, more than 50% of the time the end result is not a plus. Especially if you have to call back & someone else answers the phone with no clue of what's going on. No fret on the three stars, it just provides another opportunity to support the business & hope for a better experience.

Yelp
We had 2 people at 6:45 pm on the Friday night of when the Braves were playing in the World Series in Atlanta, so it was pretty packed. They have plenty of parking. The downstairs is for all ages and the upstairs is 21+. They have a bar and lots of TVs upstairs, great for watching sports. Chelsea, our waitress, was attentive and got everything out to us very quickly. Shout out to the kitchen for getting the food out! Here's what we got: - Grindhouse Style, double ($8.24): I was told it was delicious! - Euro Style, single ($6.24): Very good! I got it in a lettuce cup. I appreciate they have that option for when you don't want a bun! - Crinkle Cut French Fries ($2.99): Nicely seasoned and crispy on the outside. - Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($3.99): Delicious! Great flavor! Service was great. Can't beat the prices. We got beer too and it was very reasonably priced as well! Food was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Food had a good taste but was on the Luke warm side not hot. When I tried to pay I put down enough cash to pay for the meal plus a 40% tip. When the waiter came back he said they would not take cash. After talking to the manager he was very rude and said that was just the way it is. He eluded to the fact that Atlanta was not safe enough to take cash. The music was pretty loud for the us and the two other customers that were there.
google avatar

Renica N.

Yelp
Food was great. I ordered a Mexico City drink, which my server did not tell me was a very spicy drink. I asked if her I could exchange it for another drink or take it off the bill, she said she could not do any of the options. The couple next me to ordered the same drink and they were warned that it was spicy and they changed their order. I should have been granted that same decency. But instead of arguing back, I said "okay".

Yelp
Food and service was great!! Met my son here for dinner and it was delicious. Next time im in the area its a must.

Yelp
Grindhouse, located on the corner of Dresden and Apple Valley in Brookhaven has a good burgers. I went on Friday which wasn't too busy. {My guess is that all of the St. Patrick's business was upstairs in the bar area} I love that they offer their burgers in different styles, in my case, opting for the cowboy style. I chose the junior sized Burger as I was not sure of the party sizes, and I'm glad I did. While the burger may have looked petite on the tray once my food was delivered, the patty size, however, was quite thick. You won't need to ask 'where's the beef' on this one! It was juicy, and cooked medium well. {You are offered the choice of medium well or well done} The sweet potato fries were good not overly sweet as well as the shake. However there was no way I was going to finish all of it Various seating options are available and the music is a little eclectic - a bit alt rock- but still does not take away from the experience. Also, parking is free and adequate. So if you're in the mood for a burger - nothing too fancy - this is your place.

Yelp
I was getting tires installed at the Town Brookhaven Costco, and I was told that, because there were other customers ahead of me, it was going to take about two hours. It was a nice day and I wasn't in any hurry, so I decided to walk to Grindhouse Killer Burgers. I wasn't all that thrilled by my dining experience at this location, and, in hindsight, I should've eaten somewhere at Town Brookhaven. I've gone to the Grindhouse Killer Burgers on Piedmont, and, so far, that's my favorite for both the food and the service. At the end of a nice brisk walk, I made it to Grindhouse Killer Burgers. Parking is free, but this business shares a lot that's on the smaller side. I can imagine that at peak times parking can be a challenge. It is, though very close to the Brookhaven MARTA train station, so I suppose parking could be found there, if needed. Face masks are worn by all employees, but not by all the customers. There was an employee who seemed to be the only one who even cared whether or not customers wore face masks, and she told everyone not wearing face masks to put them on when they were not at their tables. The other employees didn't say a word to any customers except for the food runner who was bringing out food from the kitchen and delivering it to customers. Customers are responsible for social distancing. Many tables with umbrellas are available outside in both the lower and upper patios. Indoor dining is also available; when I ate inside, there were some seats blocked off with tape, preventing customers from sitting in them. Employees were very good at cleaning and wiping down tables soon after customers left them. The indoor dining area was very clean. If you want to eat in the upper patio, just go directly upstairs and get a table; you will receive table service. If you want to order food to go or want to eat downstairs, go inside to the counter and order. When I went to the counter, I was asked by one of the employees what I wanted to order. I ordered a beef Euro style double burger with medium doneness, and made it a Killer Combo, with an iced tea, but I wanted onion rings instead of the fries. The non-alcoholic drinks are self serve, including refills. I waited about 15 minutes for my food to be delivered. While I was waiting, I watched a soccer game playing on one of the three TV monitors. When my food was delivered, it was light on flavor - kind of bland, actually. The patties were cooked well done instead of medium. The bun became soggy quickly due to the abundance of grease and mayo on the patties. The onion rings were greasy and soggy; I was expecting them to at least be crunchy/crispy. If my experience is representative of the Brookhaven location, I'd much rather go to the Piedmont location instead.

Yelp
My friend who lives in Brookhaven recommended going to this place when I was visiting Atlanta and when I mentioned it to others they told me that they had been there and loved it. Grindhouse Killer Burgers did not disappoint! There is casual counter/order dining downstairs and a full bar with dining area upstairs, plus additional dining on a large patio. It was a lovely evening out and we decided to sit on the patio. Our server, Kelsi, came over right away and took our drink orders. Two of us ordered a beer, and the third person in our group ordered a Captain Morgan/Diet Coke. Drinks came out quickly and we put in an order of Brussel Sprouts to start with. They were cooked perfectly and had a delicious glaze covering them. After a little while Kelsi came back and we put in our food orders. I ordered a single with a side of 50% onion rings and 50% sweet potato fries. Everything was just delicious..,,I loved the burger, (very juicy,) the sweet potato fries and the onion rings! They were all 3 my favorite! My sister had her burger with cheddar and bacon in a lettuce wrap because she doesn't eat carbs. She said it was delicious; but a little messy. (Lettuce wrap burgers are always messy!). We just loved the food (and drinks,) at Grindhouse Killer Burgers. It was casual with excellent service, and it didn't break the bank! I definitely recommend the restaurant and I will definitely be back! On an added note; I hear there's a fire station just across the street and every time a fire truck leaves, sirens blaring; there are free Fireball shots all around...now I'm definitely going back!

Yelp
When we walked in they encouraged us to go up to the bar for trivia night so we did. There wasn't enough seating to be adding more people but we eventually got seats at the actual bar. We were having fun with trivia and I had decided to try something new but didn't end up liking it. When we told our bartender as he came over to ask if it was okay...well he didn't like that we told him I didn't really like it. Eventually they asked what I'd like instead so I made it simple, just meat and cheese. It still wasn't great but I didn't complain. My issue is the fact that the bartender didn't even want to be there and you could tell. I get it, I'm a server/bartender elsewhere and sometimes one customer can make you feel like that for the rest of the shift but I'd never behave like that.

Yelp
They were pretty busy on a Thursday evening. Service was good and efficient. Burgers were awesome. They were a perfect size, not too big and delicious!! We had a couple of appetizers and tho we're also good.

Rina P.

Yelp
Service is terrible. I was waiting for 15 minutes at the bar with my hands folded waiting on 1 of the 2 bartenders. It was on a Saturday afternoon when they first opened so not slammed. My order came out wrong. Not once was I asked if everything was ok or if I needed anything. I couldn't get their attention at any point during my visit. It's not difficult to give a solo person service. Not sure what the issue was. I used to go here often & haven't been back since December when this happened!!

Yelp
WOW! My boyfriend and I were at a car show earlier and has wanted to grab burgers before we had left. The line was SUPER long so we decided to leave the show and find a burger joint on the way home. I am SO glad we did because coming across this place had made our day. It's a neat spot and great hangout. The first floor is primarily where you want to eat if you're looking for a family-friendly environment. The second floor is strictly reserved for those who are 21+. So naturally, we chose to eat upstairs and enjoy the patio while the sun was still out. The food was AMAZING!!! I ended up getting the Cowboy Style burger with lettuce and the grindhouse sauce added to it, with crinkle cut fries, and a Stimulus Package milkshake. Everything tasted so so good!! I literally enjoyed every single bite. I took my sweet time eating my meal because I wanted to savor every single bite from beginning to end. The Stimulus Package is part of their "boozy shakes". Even though the milkshake was delicious, I didn't taste any alcohol in it so safe to say it's not a strong alcoholic drink. So if you are looking to enjoy your meal with some liquor, I'd recommend going for their $10-$12 beer pitchers instead. I'll definitely be looking forward to eating here again and maybe even trying a different burger next time I'm here.

Yelp
10/10 Turkey burgers are hard to cook with good flavor and seasoning. This meal was so good and hella fresh! It's a cute hang out spots for locals. There's a rooftop with full service bar but we've been drinking all day so opted so sit outside and pig out. I'll be back!

Yelp
The food is always good here, however, I'm not sure how they gave me a burger that had none of the Grindhouse style toppings and no jalapeños that I requested. This order was also placed online so not sure how they missed that smh.

Yelp
I stopped by here during the week and there were a good number of people here. They have parking readily available. The rooftop is 21+ and you can pick where you sit. Once we sat down, our server came over with menus immediately. We ordered the fried pickles that came out first. Then I ordered the impossible burger with fries. I had never had the impossible burger before and it was really tasty! I think the size of the burgers are perfect and you can customize how you want. The fries were also a great texture and crispy-ness. The food in general came out very quick. If you're looking for a casual spot for some burgers, this is a great place.

Yelp
The customer service sucks. Several people including me waited over 15 minutes for to go orders that had been sitting on the counter the entire time. Most of them had been waiting longer than I had been. At two different times while I waited employees were asked for the names on the orders on the counter. Both employees looked at the names on the orders and told us that they were not our orders. It wasn't until a third employee walked over and called out the names that we discovered that they were our orders sitting there the whole time. That's unacceptable.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service for great price. Limited parking in the lot beware! Rooftop patio and bar for 21 and up only They do offer a downstairs for families. I love how the upstairs is for adults only. It's perfect for a great night out. The burgers are very tasty for a great price. I love Grindhouse. The sweet potato fries are amazing but they do have regular fries that come with some seasoning that's tasty!! Highly recommend Grindhouse for amazing food at an affordable price. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
Who doesn't love a killer burger, right?! So happy the new Brookhaven location is just 9 min away. I stopped in last Saturday and was not disappointed. I built my own burger--single patty, Swiss, bacon and mustard. The prefect burger in my opinion. I had the option of medium and well...I did well, praying it wouldn't be dry and overcooked, and it wasn't. My last few experiences getting a medium burger (at other burger joints) have resulted in super raw insides, and I didn't want to chance it. My burger was delicious along with the fries. I did get a fountain drink, as well. Everything was fresh and yummy. Can't wait to return. Social distancing is enforced inside, and they do have outdoor seating as well. There were quite a few ppl sitting outside, so we opted to dine in. Very clean and they had hand sanitizing stations. Parking was nice, small lot behind the building. Can't wait to finish my post-Thanksgiving detox to ruin it all on another killer burger when I'm done.

Yelp
Never ordered anything - wanted to pick up a burger. Called. Outgoing message stated no more orders taken via phone. Go to website. Did that. Could not order unless thru DoorDash or Caviar (whatever that is!). For a pickup order?? Sign in or make an account for either one. Prices were higher (as if delivery)! Nope. Moving on. Ridiculous.

Yelp
As stated in my title, Grindhouse has the best Impossible burger, onion rings, and milkshakes in Atlanta. We live close by, so we use the app to order and eat at home most of the time. Sometimes we eat there on Monday nights with friends to participate in their trivia night. This is one of the places my hubby and I don't share because we both have strong preferences on what we love here. I order my impossible burger with a lettuce wrap, and I make it a double, two patties instead of a junior. They have a massive variety of toppings/styles you can get on your burger. I get the Dixie Style with pimento cheese, fried green tomato, slaw, and chipotle ranch. Their onion rings are also the best because they are big or medium and crispy. I think an order is half of an onion. Lastly, the milkshakes are so rich, thick, and creamy. You can also add booze to it if you would like to. My hubby prefers a regular beef patty with a bun and Euro style. Euro-style toppings are Swiss cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, Mayo, and mustard. He prefers the sweet potato fries but always eats one of my onion rings. He sips on my chocolate milkshake too. We love this place!

Yelp
Love having this spot in our neighborhood. When the weather is nicer, we plan to walk! The husband and I did a pick up order tonight. I had the Grindhouse burger with fries, and he had the Apache burger with onion rings and fries. I got a side of cheese and Grindhouse sauce on the side. We placed our order on the app after finding out that they didn't take orders over the phone. Also, their information on door dash is incorrect. The hours are wrong and it didn't let us place an order at all on there. We got home and we weren't able to eat immediately. Even though we finally got into our food an hour later, it was still really good. I've never been to a grindhouse before, so I was surprised to find that the patties were so thick. I was expecting something more along the lines of five guys or cheeseburger Bobby's. I'll be getting the single or junior next time. The crinkle fries were also great and they stayed crunchy an hour later as well. My husband really enjoyed the Apache. He was surprised to find that the chilies were good and spicy. Also these were some of the best onion rings we've had in a long time. I probably won't get fries next time and just get onion rings. My husband went in to pick up the order, and he said that it was really convenient. There was a long line for seating I think, but he bypassed it and picked up our mobile order a few minutes before the ready time on the app. We're excited to go back and dine on the patio! There's a sweet fire pit too.

Yelp
We visited on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy which was surprising for a weekend. Downstairs versus upstairs is confusing but we had read that upstairs had table service so we opted for that. Unlike the Piedmont location with its retro vibe inside, this location was somewhat plain and lacked style in the outside seating area. Careful where you sit as the sun could end up in your face. Our server was cheerful and professional, not making us feel rushed and was nicely attentive. We had burgers and fries with onion rings, all delicious and well prepared. Food came fairly quickly. Customers were friendly.

Yelp
Soooo we went to dinner on Saturday night around 7pm and took our 18 year old daughter. We had to sit downstairs because she's under 21, which was fine. We didn't mind....but There was only one table for us to sit at, and it faced their giant screen that's on the wall. That screen was playing some foreign film that was beyond inappropriate for the public. It was full on bondage and rape. Five minutes of a woman being tortured, sodomized and murdered. We asked the employees if they could change the channel ( all the other tv's had football on) and they said no. They had no control over the tv. Ummmmm okay. It was so graphic and awful. At least turn it off? Nope. They just acted like no big deal. There were little kids in there too. So, you can't eat upstairs, but here's some violent porn for you to enjoy. So bizarre. The food was great. It was just unacceptable to have that playing on the biggest screen in the place!

Yelp
Two restaurants in one: counter service, families with kids after soccer downstairs; over 21 crowd & table service upstairs. Definitely GO UPSTAIRS! My husband and I had been wanting to try this place and so glad we did on this cool windy early October evening. We got the Grind house lager and fried pickles to start. Then he got the double beef with cheese & mushrooms. I got the veggie burger with lettuce pickle and grind house sauce. We also shared a he frings and side salad. Everything was prepared perfectly & delicious. They were showing the Braves Mets game and the UGA Missouri game and some very old Jackie Chan movie on the outdoor TVs. It was a fun, relaxing atmosphere, and our server Spencer was very attentive. We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
jumping on here because a overall of 3.5 is not deserving. Great small little place. good food and good service. Try it.
