The 15 Best Restaurants At Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

"Gates T and D, open 6am When that burger craving hits at 6am, you might think you're out of options. But Grindhouse Killer Burgers (Concourses T and D) offers a workaround for those early-morning hours when you’re in need of something meaty and substantial that won’t pin you down like fast food often does. While a traditional burger isn't on the menu at dawn, the Avocado Toast Platter presents a solid alternative: sausage fried to a crisp and topped with a smooth avocado spread on a soft burger bun. It's a good way to satisfy those untimely burger urges." - demarco williams, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard

Grindhouse Killer Burgers Review - Hartsfield-Jackson Airport - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"While there’s a host of burger joints around the terminals, ’s two airport posts (Terminal T and D) are the best fast-casual options and the only spots where you can get ’em while also staring at vintage toys on the shelves. But unlike at the popular, eclectically-decorated offsite locations around town, here you select breakfast or lunch from a self-service touchscreen. Pat yourself on the back for making the proper order of a Grindhouse-style double burger (dry-aged beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and Thousand Island-y Grindhouse sauce), crinkle fries, and a Blizzard-like Oreo Chiller you can devour at the bar or from your seat at the gate." - DeMarco Williams

Google
The food and service here were phenomenal when I visited. I ordered my food and was easily able to use my meal vouchers. My food was delivered quickly and was quite tasty especially for airport food. I recommend this place if you have time and are in the terminal.

Heath Van Staden

Google
Good burger. As it is the airport it is always going to be overpriced. But overall was good place to eat. Staff served us well.

Chinwe Korie

Google
I waited 20 minutes for the most mediocre burger and it’s missing ALL of the toppings I ordered. I would’ve gone back and complained but my plane was boarding. Don’t waste your time!

David Knight

Google
Server was Awesome at getting food fast and my check quickly! A good burger and well prepared. I liked how it wasn't overcooked. The fried pickle spears were ok, but the batter/breading fell off the pickles far too easily, which is less than optimal .

Janah Sparks

Google
It’s 5am in the morning and this girl here with the puff ball says her name is Kay is VERY rude not only to me I watch her be rude to everyone that walks up. If u hate your job please find another!!! u work in customer service in one of the busiest airport in the world no way ur just that angry with life… I almost didn’t even want to order because of her rude attitude. Can’t even ask you a question!!!

Clint Rogers

Google
Good place to eat and have drinks waiting on your flight. Burgers are pretty killer as the name implies!! Service is fast and friendly and a good variety of drinks. They play good music also!

Byron Sheardown

Google
Good burger! Excellent service from the bartender. Very friendly and fast.

Miguel Castro

Google
Hamburgers are ok, French fries not really. Expect a wait time of 10 minutes at least, so if you’re in a hurry, try something else.

Yelp
The quality of the burgers are wrestling. I had a double grind applewood bacon Monterey Jack cheese with pickles. Sizable too patties cooked very nicely soft bun. The attendance self-serve area was extremely helpful. The decor is just an open sitting area with other restaurant the community.

Yelp
Oh my goodness what a fiasco this place is. 1. The self-service kiosk offered a chocolate milkshake on the menu. But, when I collected my order, I was told that they had none. Other menu items had a SOLD OUT message superimposed. I don't know why they're charging people $5.49 for milkshakes they all know do not exist. The employee didn't say she'd fix the menu or anything. (I was offered some bottle soda or water if I wanted.) 2. These people have clearly never heard of truth in advertising. The menu screen shows beautiful heaping giant burgers. Like their Atlanta standalone restaurant location. But the burger I got looked like it was from the McDonald's Dollar Menu. What a huge disappointment. 3. No napkins in the bag? Not even one? Sheesh. 4. Dirty, filthy tables. With hardly anyone here. I mean there's a crowd, but the person who came by to sweep didn't lift a finger to attend to the array of messes on tables. Look, I know it can be hard to find people to work these days. But, isn't it harder to earn customers' business? This is a smear on Grindhouse Killer Burgers' reputation. Do better, people.

Yelp
Coming from a flight that were delayed I had to find some place to eat. Being that it was now 8pm I stopped at the first burger place I could find I saw a ad for this spot in the terminal. The location seemed like a cool spot to hang out and eat but I needed to get my food to go. However this being my first time the waitress/cashier was kind of rude about pleasant and unhelpful. So I decided to just order from the kiosk. I got no confirmation that my food was being prepared just a state of death. I waited for about 40 minutes until I finally got my brown bag of two burgers that costed almost 36$, mind you one burger was a junior burger lol. The food was wack and small, that's it. I have nothing more to say. I should've just went to shake shack ‍
google avatar

Ciara D.

Yelp
Passed this while walking to my gate at the ATL airport. The place was packed so I was excited to give the burgers a try. I got the grindhouse. While the patty was seasoned, yeah no. You order at the kiosk and they make your burger upon order. The burger in the kiosk was bigger than the one that was served to me. This was very disappointing.
google avatar

Carrie S.

Yelp
Very slow and wasn't worth the wait. There's a kiosk to order from. They assume you are eating in because there's no way to indicate it is to go and they don't ask.

Yelp
Came here a couple of years ago and reviewed with 5 stars. Well. No more. Didn't even get served this time. Horrible experience. I stood at the counter for a couple of minutes like a dummy before I was told I needed to go outside and place an order at the kiosk. So much for customer service. The kiosk had a message that it could only be used to place to-go takeaway orders. To order for table dining, I inferred, one had to scan the QR code on the kiosk and order using one's phone. (Seems more complicated than absolutely necessary.) I placed an order on my phone and noticed that the Fried Dill Pickles on the restaurant's sign were not available to purchase. Nor onion rings, and I don't prefer "crinkle-cut" fries. So no sides for me. I go to check out and to my surprise the app offered Google Pay (which I do prefer!). Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Repeated attempts only offer a vague message that the merchant's account can't connect to the payment service. So I choose the only other payment option, and it wants my full credit card information. That's a problem for me because I just got one of those fancy new cards that don't have the card number, ccv, or expiration dates on them. (There's a QR code on the card that opens the bank's app and displays the card details.) This is getting to be way more work than I want for a simple burger. I cancelled my order and started to walk away and an employee asked why. I told her all of the above and she said I should use the kiosk because it had a card reader. No thanks. Bobby Flay's Burger Place was three gates down and their burger was spectacular. Sorry, Grindhouse. TIL: If you try hard to drive customers away with a bad user experience, you will.

Yelp
Stopped in to get a coffee and a small egg and cheese sandwich on the way back to NC. 3.75 to add bacon geez! Sandwich was small but lacked any real flavor. Man working the kiosk was very nice and super cute! 5 stars for him, coffee was really good wait not too long at 8 am.
google avatar

Victoria L.

Yelp
A lot of options were not available for vegetarians which is incredibly disappointing.

Yelp
I love Grindhouse, but the one in the airport just doesn't hit the same as the rest in and around Atlanta!! The service was quick which I appreciated, and there's plenty of seating in the communal food hall it's located in, but the burger itself was just ok and they were missing a lot of toppings. The fires though were delicious and hit the spot like they always do.
google avatar

Ray F.

Yelp
It was good to be able to have Grindhouse before my flight. Airport food can be overpriced at times but the prices at this location matched what I would pay at the stand alone locations. I ordered my usual double impossible burger. I also ordered fried pickles, cheesy fries, and a long island iced tea Unfortunately, I never got the cheese sauce for my fries. I was not too pressed about it. I do recommend sitting at the bar for faster service. I would not use the kiosk. I felt bad for people ordering after me. They ran out of real meat burgers and could only offer hot dogs. A lot of people were not in favor of hot dogs and ended up leaving. This location is a chill place for a quick bite. It can get a bit busy since it is in Atlanta's airport. Please not that Grindhouse is located in Concourse D. Depending on what concourse you depart from please give yourself enough time to get to Concourse D and back to your concourse.

Yelp
Visit #2 - a whole different experience. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Fast service and delish!!

Yelp
This lady is awesome. Great customer service. Everything with a smile. Even when she's not smiling, she's smiling. If she's not the owner, she should be. #standonbusiness

Yelp
Come for great entertainment and good burgers. They have vegetarian options, which is perfect for me! If Chris is your bartender, you're in for a treat. He is the entertainment! Try the sweet potato fries they are to die for! So delicious.

Steve S.

Yelp
Randy at Grindhouse Killer Burgers D-30 ATL airport was incredibly kind and efficient. Burger was wildly delicious too and fairly priced. However had a very upsetting experience at 40/40 club nearby in the D terminal at ATL airport. I sat down for a quiet lunch, plenty of seats and the bartender told me that it was a requirement to order an alcoholic beverage. I do not drink. I have chosen sobriety. It's my own choice and was surprised to hear of this restriction. Not sure if it's an airport rule, or restaurant policy but I can't imagine a world in which one would need to consume booze in order to eat food at a restaurant, let alone at an airport and at Noon. This encounter was on Sunday Noon ET on 7/28/24.

Scott L.

Yelp
Eric at the bar is a legend. Great service with a healthy splash of character and humor. Im a random visitor but he clearly has a good relationship with frequent travelers. Great job Eric
google avatar

Sallie D.

Yelp
Airport food is typically overpriced and... okay. But I needed dinner. Found this restaurant in D terminal and I'm very glad I did. Food was absolutely delicious, and the gentlemen working the register were both patient with my exhausted self and very kind. So glad I wanted a cheeseburger today. Got the single 1/4 pound burger, no bun, cooked to medium with tomato, onion, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, mayo, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese and avocado, and the crinkle fries. No regrets. Very satisfying. Thanks for a great dinner!

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of airport food but we had a long layover and decided on trying a burger at this popular spot. I ordered the regular cheeseburger with everything on it and it was delicious. We also ordered an Impossible veggie burger and that was also yummy. The price for this airport burger was very reasonable too.
google avatar

Diandra L.

Yelp
Five stars for a delish airport burger and the largest and coldest glass of white wine money could buy. A burger and a wine may be a weird combo, but in the airport all bets are off! I ordered a double cheeseburger, Grindhouse style. That means there's pickles, American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and Grindhouse sauce. The burger was so good. Simple, perfectly cooked, and that smash patty that hits the spot. For $10 it's a solid airport meal. My server Jay was awesome. I'd def hit this up next time I'm in concourse D. They also have charging stations at the bar and the tables which is awesome for traveling.

Yelp
I came here to pick up dinner before my flight. You stand in line and place your order through a kiosk. It takes longer than expected for your food to arrive. You should plan for that if you only have a couple of minutes to catch a flight. A group of people left without picking up their food because their flights were about to leave. In terms of food it was mediocre at best. I ordered the turkey burger. I have had better elsewhere. I did enjoy the large seating area and the flat screen televisions showing the basketball games. There is a pizzeria and coffee bar in the same location if you want something else. Decent food but nothing to be excited about.

Shawn V.

Yelp
Chris is an amazing bartender. So fun to interact with!!! Only had drinks so no food. Great location right in front of our terminal.
google avatar

Tara B.

Yelp
5 stars for the bartender, Eric!! Personality for days in the service was beyond on point. He's the reason why I had 2 drinks before 11AM. Vacation vibes, so it's happy hour somewhere. I wouldn't come back for the food but I would come back to visit Eric at the bar!! Thanks for starting this trip out right!! I appreciate you showing up with your huge smile and hearty laugh. Much appreciated!! I ordered impossible burger from the kiosk and I can't say that I was impressed with it. The patty itself lacked flavor. It's tasted like they took a frozen patty put it on the grill and called it a day. It has grilled mushrooms, which also had no seasoning on it, grilled onions, lettuce and mustard. Overall, so disappointing. I'm curious as to whether they season the regular patties or if it's just a Impossible burger flaw. The curly fries were really tasty!
google avatar

Lindsay C.

Yelp
Chris is the bartender to visit before your flights It says a lot when you decide to take a seat and order here after ordering a pizza from the neighbor food spot... I came to get a drink and Chris' awesome vibes convinced me to stay. I ordered a margarita and I was a happy camper for my 5hr flight back home.

William M.

Yelp
Randy got my drink wrong 5 times then finally figured his life out so I could get a simple mixed drink. Definitely won't be recommending this place to my traveling fellows. Food was undercooked to the point of being unhealthy, I usually get my meat rare but damn.

Brady H.

Yelp
Best service in the hartsfield jackson airport so far! Food was fast, hot, and fresh! If Danny is working make sure you sit at the bar. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!
google avatar

Traci W.

Yelp
I can't speak to the food at Grindhouse, but I did visit the bar while I was at the airport in Atlanta. It's located in terminal T and it seemed very busy so apparently the food must be good. From the menu options, it looks like they really do have killer burgers hence the name Grindhouse killer burgers.... On this visit though I only sat at the bar. The bartenders, there were two of them, were both really friendly and outgoing. They made me a mean spicy bloody Mary, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Both the order line for food and the bar was completely packed so I am sure the burgers are good too. Next time I'm at terminal T in Atlanta I'll be sure to make that my choice for lunch.
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Misleading menu and advertising. No longer make milkshakes so don't make the trek for them.
google avatar

Lisa F.

Yelp
Eric is THE man to see for your drink. Please don't be offended if an ID is requested , it is the law. We love ya, Eric!
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
First time eating at Grindhouse Killer burgers and really enjoyed the burger highly recommend checking them out they have a full bar as well. No milkshakes the day I was there. Service was friendly and fast ! Would def. Go back
google avatar

Jacqueline D.

Yelp
Chris was a great bartender at T-09!Had wine recommendations and was quick to say hi. Food came out fast and hot!
google avatar

Chinika L.

Yelp
The best burger I have ever had in my life. I swear. Cooked to perfection and very flavorful. My new go to spot for a banging burger
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
Chris is the best bartender!!! He engaged every customer and can upsell anyone. He makes for a great experience at the airport!!! Chris is airport!
google avatar

Tim M.

Yelp
Ok. This is "Creepy" Tim. Doing this only because he said I wouldn't. This review is all about Chris. Ignore the food.... Ignore the greasy (delicious) burgers... Ignore the ambiance.... Just come for Chris. If he's there... and you are not... then book a flight, skip it, and sit at the bar with Chris. It will be worth the wasted money. Even if you find him slightly annoying, you will appreciate the entertainment. Hope you win Chris. If you don't, then the other guys cheated.

Anthony P.

Yelp
I don't recommend this place for one reason, and one reason only. Today after I landed at ATL airport,'I went to this place because I heard the food was good. I placed my order through a kiosk, and little did I know I would wait 30 minutes for my burger and fries. 30 minutes!! That is unacceptable. I'm glad ATL was my final destination and I did not have a connection. If I could have, I would have canceled my order and gone to Burger King! I did see one person just say she didn't want her order anymore and walked away. She left without getting any credit on her card! This place should have a sign showing approximate wait times for food. It's especially critical if you have a connection. Oh, the food? It was good but I was so upset at having to wait that long! Never again there.
google avatar

Darya S.

Yelp
Go to the original one, not this one at the airport. This was so disappointing! I got the grindhouse classic burger and it tasted like a boring fast food burger. The quality of the food was just terrible. It's not like the size even makes up for it. It was not even the size of my palm. You're better off going somewhere else in the food court.
google avatar

Barry F.

Yelp
I hope the manager sees this review. You got an bartender/server named Randy. He is a great employee great service. Food was good too. Don't let that Randy fella go. Give him a raise.

Jay B.

Yelp
Avoid this terminal restaurant at all costs. The food itself was mediocre at best. My burger was haphazardly thrown together and not presentable at all. The burger's flavor was so so, definitely not worthy of the title of "Killer". One of the two staff members I spoke to at this food location was abrupt and rude. This was made worse by the fact she told me I would have to "pay" for water out of the soda machine. Something that is free everywhere else you go. In fact, I took five steps to the left to the Killer Burger bar area and asked the bartender for a glass of water. He readily poured me the water with the original female staff member watching and handed it to me. Guess they need to figure out their policies better.
google avatar

Zay M.

Yelp
During a layover, I did the one thing I dislike... getting food at airports... It's always so expensive! I'm sure they get enough customers to still make profit with lower costs. However, there may be more to it than I know. Anyway, Grind House is located in D Terminal by gate D29 and D31. There aren't many options in this area. Although it's not even 11am, I figured a burger would be good. You must order via your phone or the kiosk. You cannot order with a staff member. They are card only, no cash. There is 1 staff members who mans the bar (which you have to place a separate order if you want a drink). The other staff bags and calls out the orders as they are done. I ordered a single cowboy burger (bacon, cheese, bbq sauce, and onion ring). I ordered a side of sweet potato fries. Note: There are no combos. You do have the option to create your own burger. To add, you have to order everything separate. I ended up Ordering a screwdriver and boyyyyy, it was strong! It was also $9. My ordered was placed at 10:33am. My food was ready at 10:40am. The fries were HOT! The burger was an appropriate temperature. Both were delicious. The fries were seasoned well! I really enjoyed the food and would definitely stop here again!
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
Randy is the bartender at Concourse D-30 and is by far the best bartender in the Atlanta airport! I highly recommend going by to see him!

Monique S.

Yelp
Eric is stellar and the service is off the chain!! Food is amazing always go for the burger!!

Kerry C.

Yelp
You all got service off the hook when it comes to food help ect....we like the grind house soo much better then buffalo wild wings...and your waitress aka meme she's always treated us like people in and out with in 30mins as the other place gotta wait 45mins to eat when you have an hour ...thanks again for what ya do !!!!
google avatar

Chase D.

Yelp
Randy and terminal D 30 location is incredible. Awesome customer service. The frog green tomatoes were awesome and the burger was nice and juicy.

James U.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Prices did not match the menu. Ended up being an addition 70 or 80% over the menu prices. Should be illegal! 40$ for a cheeseburger, fries, and a soda!
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
Eric the bartender is money. Never has upwelling been so much fun. Quick with a joke and to light up your smoke. Order drinks, the burgers look good too.

John B.

Yelp
I did not order any food. Just stopped in for a minute to grab a drink. Service was good, but the drink was weird.
google avatar

Adrian O.

Yelp
If you need a good break during your travel, can not recommend enough the Grindhouse in terminal T. The food was great, as is typical across all Grindhouse, but the bar service really stood out. Chris was really fun and engaging turning a meal and a drink in to an event. If Chris is bartending, I'll go out of my way to come back again
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
Worst burger I've had in a long time. I also paid for a Cobb salad which was supposed to be topped with a burger patty and they ran out so they gave me a tiny container with lettuce (for $14!!!). Overcooked burgers and no service.

Valerie B.

Yelp
Breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious!!! Best we have ever had. Keep uo the good work

Sammie M.

Yelp
I thought I had Covid after eating the burger. Zero taste Nada , none . Not even a pinch of salt. The sprite tasted like carbonated beach water, milk shake had no taste whatsoever.

George R.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst experience i've had in the ATL airport. The cook and the front server were arguing, and totally screwing up the orders. It took almost 30 minutes to get a simple burger order across the counter at 1:30 PM. Absolutely unacceptable. Will never use this place again.
