Where To Eat Outside In Jersey City & Hoboken

"Between the tables on its front patio, Maxwell Alley, and Coles Street, Gringo’s has seating for more than 100 people. You can be one of them any day of the week, with their usual menu of tacos and cocktail flights available until 10pm. You can also check out their food truck at Pier 13 in Hoboken Wednesday through Sunday." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, matt tervooren

Gringo’s Review - Jersey City - New York - The Infatuation

"Gringo’s offers flights of any three cocktails on its menu, which includes a few types of margaritas and a bunch of other tequila and mezcal-focused drinks, for $15. That and the $3 beers during Happy Hour are why you should come to this big, colorful spot with a group, especially during nice weather when the outdoor patio is open. But you don’t need to come here for the food, and if you’re looking for high-quality tacos downtown, head to La Taqueria Downtown instead." - Matt Tervooren

Cute place and good food! Service was slow and the waiter messed up a few drink orders, however the tacos particularly were yum! The margaritas were ordinary, the bartender needs to up their game 😆

Google
This is a nice spot! Great atmosphere, great music and great service! The portions are fine for me and so are the frozen drinks! I like the plates, they look like paper plates but they’re not! Clean bathrooms. It can get quite busy here. Nice outdoor seating. Parking is a little tough. Enjoy!

I was so excited to try this Mexican restaurant. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. The place had indoor and outdoor seating. Andy, the manager, pretty much helped with everything. I started with an espresso martini and a margarita and both were delicious! I got different dishes including the corn esquites, tijuana street fries and the gringo with beyond meat. All were so tasty especially the corn! I really enjoyed my time!

Google
Food was good, tasty and good quality. The portions tend to be a bit small. Staff was very friendly, although the service was a little slow. The atmosphere is pleasant, good retro Tex-Mex style decoration. It still tends to be noisy in the sports bar area. So if you want somewhere quieter, unless the patio area is open (which is often not the case in winter), this is not the place. Overall a good place to visit at least once, but nothing extraordinary.

Google
Amazing place to go and have dinner. I loved the lively nature of this place. They have amazing birthday celebration theme here. We loved how staff came with cake, music and cracker candles. Food is good here. They have good mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Drinks were really good and I loved it. Overall a fun place to go.

Google
went for drag bingo / brunch this sunday for a friend's bday and it was fun! props to linda loves bingo for throwing a fun event. i loved the nashville chicken tacos and the tres leches french toast. we ordered a bunch of things for the table and it was more than enough. drink specials are always fun also. some cons - parking is a bit hard, they seem to charge for refills on soft drinks

Google
Great ambience, great service, and great decor. We came early on a Friday night for a party of three (around 7pm), seated very quickly with friendly greetings. We ordered the biased beef, Korean beef, and fish taco. Accompany with corn and guac appetizers. The food was good except the braised beef, too soggy that one can even hold the taco as the shell all fall apart (also very bland). However, the corn and fish taco are one of the top ones I had in northeast.

Google
The food was great, there are vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options. Just be aware to ask if the food of your choice includes a spicy sauce in case if you’re not tolerant to spicy sauces. Great quality food are sold here 👍😎✨f or

Yelp
Endless tacos are gone but the vibes are still high food was delicious and prepared quickly! Only had one drink and it was delicious! Nice spot for after work! Service was friendly and helpful with making decisions from the menu. Side note: Parking is meh, so I would either Uber or take the path.

Yelp
We were seated right away around 4pm and there was only one other table seated at the time, but tables started to fill up shortly after, mostly with families. Our table started with the Tijuana Street fries which were presented very nicely, I enjoyed them but my friend thought they were missing something. We each ordered drinks which neither of us were too happy with. For entrees we ordered the birria quesadilla and the chimichanga. Both looked absolutely beautiful when they came out but kinda tasted like nothing. I didn't take the restaurant name Gringos seriously, but we came to figure out that the restaurant name was very fitting. The quesadilla was bland and flavorless. The chimichanga was dry, filled only with dry ingredients - rice and chicken, if there was anything else in there it was also dry and unseasoned - the sauce drizzled on top wasn't enough to save it. It was served with chips and a salsa that did not taste good. If you like flavorful authentic Mexican food, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This restaurant has a nice outdoor patio that is also covered nicely from the outside hustle and bustle. The tacos were decent. I did enjoy the fish taco the most, and wish I would've ordered three of those instead was really good. I wanted it to be a little bit thickerbut overall delicious. The margaritas were nice and could use a little little bit of more strength. The cheesecake was also good and I'd come back to try something different from the menu.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant with friends on a Saturday night and the food was mediocre. I ordered the veggie flautas and a side of guacamole which was average . The dining area we were sitting at , had all the tables and chairs tooooo close together . Our server had a little attitude and the street parking was horrible.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to stop in and have brunch...Big fan of the ambiance and drink specials...love how Mezcal heavy their choices are, but the food was great! Super fast and flavorful, we were very happy with our mid-morning choices of Huevos Rancheros and Breakfast Burrito. Can't wait to head back for some tacos!

Yelp
I can't count the number of times I've driven by Gringo's, always curious but ever actually going in or ordering anything to go. I already have a go-to taco spot in JC (if you are a local you very likely know what I'm talking about) so I never felt the need to branch out. The other day we just happened to see a parking spot out front and decided to mosey in. It's much bigger than I expected--the footprint on Coles doesn't do it justice. We got seats at the bar, and they had a few TVs playing football, already a plus. We got a few light things to eat and some drinks, and at the bar, where there was plenty of seats available. Steak tacos, guacamole, chips, and some margs. While the feel of the place was cool and there was plenty of room, I expected more of the food. The tacos were much more expensive and much less impressive than Taqueria and although the marg was good...it was not $18 good. That's two at TQ. I feel like I'm hovering around 2.5 stars...but I'll give it a solid 3 since I clearly didn't try more food and I did like the feel of the place. I'd for sure come by for a beer or two and an app, but if it is dinner I am craving...I've got my spot.

Yelp
What a great spot for Mexican food! So jealous that we don't really have any places like this on the NY side of the Hudson. We hit up Gringo's with our pal Corey for brunch. Corey had suggested it and mentioned it was one of his "go to" spots for brunch. We love no-nonsense Mexican food, so we quickly agreed to join. Here's an overview of our experience: The drinks we're yummy and on point, strong, and priced right! We all ordered varieties of margaritas, which were on sale for brunch ($8, I believe). You can't go wrong with any of them. The food was equally good--from this Fish Tacos to the Breakfast Burrito to the Guacamole. The only dish that could have used some TLC was the Chilaquiles, which were a bit dry (needed more sauce), and the fried egg on top was served "over well." I've typically had runnier eggs with my Chilaquiles and would have preferred them that way at Gringo's. As for ambiance, the interior of Gringo's is modern rustic, and it's very spacious inside! They could easily seat large parties! Final thoughts: I will definitely return to Gringo's because they feature great food and drinks. I also can tell that the interior is designed to support a large number of patrons, so I expect it can be loads of fun on a weekend night!!

Yelp
Went to Gringos in JC for the first time for Taco Tuesday and it was a fun vibe! Previously, I have had the food truck at pier 13. They have seating indoor and outdoor. The best part is they have margaritas flights and you get to choose from different choices on menu!! We got the el chapo, the tijuana street tea which I wasn't a fan of and strawberry margarita. I think margarita was the way to go with the flights! For Taco Tuesday the deal is $25 all you can eat tacos!! But you have to eat 5 or more tacos to make it worth it so come ready to eat! They also had a special for $20 you get two tacos, rice and beans, and one house margarita which my friend took advantage of as she was vegetarian. There is only one vegetarian option for taco Tuesday deal and it was underwhelming as it was tad dry. Also, I wish they offered chicken tinga tacos on daily menu as it forces you to have to do the all you can eat deal. We also ordered guacamole as an appetizer as spicy but it was okay could have used little more lime nor was it spicy. The service was good overall but bit slower at times as it was busy. However, waiter would come to put next order of tacos when we were served our order of tacos if your doing the all you can eat deal so that they come out timely. If your in JC or go to the pier definitely try the tacos! My favorite is the chicken tinga!

Yelp
It's a party here for drag bingo!! 1-3 on a Sunday but really was 2-4. Started an hour late and boy was it a party. DJ and staff encouraged people to stand on the tables and chairs, take the hats off the wall, where spraying people in the mouth with champagne and cooling down the room with fire extinguishers. I chose the wrong day to not drink!! Next time I'm coming here on my birthday or with a big group of people when they have this event. Really great music, vibe and everything. $5 a person to play bingo. Staff were nice. Food is overpriced. I enjoyed my chicken waffle tacos. I got them because they sound so unique. It's basically a pancake taco shell that looks like a waffle with fried chicken and syrup on it. $12 for two tacos so 6 a taco. The taco is 3 bites. They were good bites but very expensive bites. It's worth it when you get this party with it. But I wouldn't spend this same money here on an ordinary night. Also no brunch drink deals was a bummer. My friend liked her breakfast burrito. This place is big too, very open and great decor. And tons of outdoor seating. Come here for drag brunch and make a reservation!

Yelp
Came especially for unlimited tacos! The space inside is so nice, and vibrant. Love the decor and the signs above the bars naming all the various drinks. I found out this use to be a garage/car repair spot, if you notice the entrance still has the garage door that's rolled up. Very cool The unlimited tacos aren't worth it unless you are going to eat more than 5 orders. I got mine on lettuce wrap and came prepared and ordered 5 tacos: beef, carnitas, chicken thighs, and fish - I got the carnitas twice - they were that good! Service started off great (we also got there at 5, the place was probably 40% filled on a Tuesday towards the end of entire, which is when service started getting a bit slow. Overall enjoyed the time here - also tried a hh margarita, very strong - not complaining, but I only drank half ha!

Yelp
The margaritas were strong, fun, and full of so much flavor! Love the idea of a flight so you can enjoy all the different flavors. The fries were also delicious! Love the idea of switching up nachos to fries and adding all the flavors on top. Restaurant has good music and is a fun spot to catch up with friends. There was a wait but overall they got us seated within 30 minutes. Service was quick! The servers definitely knew the right recs to serve our taste. Regret not trying the tacos but gives me another reason to go back!

Yelp
Went here for New Year's Eve and was pleasantly surprised! The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend getting the guac and tacos. Will definitely be returning here!

Yelp
I wouldn't call it a great place for Tacos especially. The gringos veggie Tacos are okay. The presentation looked very appetizing though. More than the gringos Tacos, I liked their Chicken and waffle better. The bar was good as suggested. When I asked for a rum based mild sweet cocktail, the waiter served a Tijuana iced tea. I didn't feel like it had any alcohol and that it was too sweet. The other cocktails were good though.

Yelp
I don't get the rave reviews- The food is terrible! The queso tasted overcooked and burnt-with literally no chorizo... The quisadilla had no filling...where was the chicken???? The chimichanga was all rice and no flavor- Expensive drinks and out of half of what we wanted This place is just awful Best part- They drop the check at 945 and hover til you pay when they close at 10 This spot was horrible on Staten Island And it's horrible still in Jersey
google avatar

A'Yanna E.

Yelp
Not the best, but good. Service was awesome along with the overall vibe. I've literally now only had the best birria tacos at a taco stand in jersey city that I've never seen again. My taste preference is compared to it and nothing has met or beat it yet! My first time trying Mexican street corn...sounded great but it's not something I'd get again more than likely. It's just not a taste I care for is all. The music was so great here & I love the shared seating so you can meet new ppl! My food wasn't good enough to entice a return but do try it for yourself...everything was cooked well. The bus boys are on their job, solely speak Spanish yet very sweet so be kind they appreciate it. Go, enjoy

Yelp
We came here during their unlimited taco Tuesday. The service was amazing. Our server helped us choose specific toppings and food, which turned out to be great. We sat in a corner section of the restaurant, which was nice because we got an open view of the place. For the tacos, they range from great to decent! I would recommend as it is great to have a nice meal over great conversation with friends/family.

Yelp
Came here a few weeks ago to celebrate a friend's birthday, haven't been here in a while and did not disappoint at all. Food: great Mexican food that tastes delicious and spicy, what else is there to say? Aesthetic: the outside and inside dining both offer some nice experiences. Outside dining in a great night would be perfect for catch up with friends where indoor dining would be great for an intimate, but fun dinner. Service: a lot of people dropping off things means that there is a lot of communication between staff, which is a plus for me.
google avatar

Yelp
Dear God, That was by far the worst food I have ever had. Not being dramatic I ordered a burrito and it was basically a chicken wrap. We ordered chips and salsa the red salsa is straight from a jar ( not terrible) just not great. The green salsa literally tasted like a pumpkin ( i don't even know how that's possible) and the pico wasn't bad. To be honest it would be a really cool place to get drunk but it's a no for me when it comes to eating.
google avatar

Krystal L.

Yelp
Good place to grab a drink and apps with friends. Not really a family environment. Their drink menu is super cute. The flight of margaritas is a great way to sample or share some margs. We ordered the cheese dip and guac to start which tasted pretty standard. The tacos are overpriced and small. Def ask your server how many tacos your dish comes with before you order it. 2 or 3 tacos depending on the type, and it isn't indicated on the menu. The outdoor seating area looked nice and welcoming, but it was closed when I went. The inside kind of looks like a basement/warehouse. The decor is cute, but the concrete?...not so much. I want to like this place, but the vibe isn't doing it for me. Also, 2 tacos should not cost $14. I might come back in the summer to see if it's better on the patio.
google avatar

Loanne N.

Yelp
Decent place to grab drinks with a friend! Came here on a Tuesday night for their taco Tuesday specials. Taco Tuesday deal: unlimited tacos for $24, but only their regular street ones not specialty. You can only order two at a time and two of the same kind at one time. Honestly not so much a deal unless you're eating like ten tacos. The tacos are large sized and I ate about six and was completely stuffed, which makes each taco $4 which is a reasonable price. The classic margaritas are $10 on tuesdays from $14. Drinks: extensive drink menu and large bar area. They have tequilas as well as margaritas and cocktails. The margarita was STRONG and I only needed one. Food: chips and salsa come with a lot of both. Tacos were pretty good, my favorite is the fish taco and carne asada. Atmosphere: entrance has many plants in it and a QR code where you can scan to read menu. Interior has industrial vibe and two separate seating areas. There is an outside patio which has about ten picnic style tables with string lights that look very cute. Unfortunately it hasn't been opened yet, but would definitely come back in the summer when the weather is nice to seat. It gets loud in the restaurant and they play loud music/songs, but can still hear my friends talking and wasn't unbearable. Just not a place for a nice family meal, more of a place to grab drinks after work w friends or pregame.
google avatar

Drew O.

Yelp
The food truck came to my community. The menu is pretty comprehensive of what they offer at the restaurant. The street corn was fire. The birria tacos were delicious. I could do a shot of the consome. The chicken quesadilla was very good. Wish i had a margarita. Service was fast & friendly. I would definitely visit their brick & mortar.
google avatar

Yelp
Tacos! margaritas and Drag Bingo!!!! Came to celebrate a friend's birthday and it just felt like being 21 again and just throwing back those drinks. The service was great and even with the chaos the service was on point! What a fun space and I will definitely return for dinner and another round of Drag Bingo. It was like Spring Break but in the best way possible!
google avatar

Yelp
Innovative taco choices, so they've got that going for Them. They're good, but nothing blew my mind. And the cocktails were pretty weak. There's potential but ....
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere was so much fun and the food and drinks were delicious!! Our server checked up on us frequently and the orders came out super quick. My fave were the vegan tacos - so good!! Definitely recommend coming here for Taco Tuesday
google avatar

Yelp
The last time I was here was before COVID and I was hoping that this place was still just as good; let me tell you, they haven't missed a beat. The place was just starting to get crowded when I got there. I sat at the bar with a friend, which sometimes I do prefer, as it's quicker drink service! Our bartender did not skimp and we were well taken care of. My friend used to work there so the owner did come over a few times to check in on us. I personally love when managers or owners take the time to meet the guests! The vibe was great - there was great music playing the whole time. Several people were dancing around the bar and it made for a good time. By the time we got our food, the restaurant started to get a lot busier but that didn't take away from how quick the service was. This is definitely a good spot to stop in if you're looking for strong drinks, great food and good music!
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
I've been looking for a good taco Tuesday spot and Gringo's is it! It is loud by the bar and quiet in the back. The El Chapo which is a spicy margarita was delicious! The best spicy margarita I've ever had. The nachos were really good. They didn't stand a chance with me. Tha Lobsta Tacos OMG. Talk about a great taco! I definitely recommend you try it especially if you like seafood as much as I do. I can't wait to come back!

Melle C.

Yelp
The best margaritas in town. They have a kick and have great flavours. Also the best queso I've ever had! For the same price as a small chipotle queso and chips. Gringos gives you a massive boiling queso bowl with great chips! Great prices quick service and a cool environment. Seems dog friendly outside which is a pro!
google avatar

Gia H.

Yelp
This place has the BEST outside seating I've seen! The ambiance is perfect-- romantic, night out with friends or a quick bite. Our food was flavorful, on time and service was great. Chicken al pastor tacos were delish, I ordered three but I really only needed two! The chirps were the perfect night cap. Five stars for Gringo's
google avatar

Sitara S.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with a group of friends and the vibes were amazing! There's outdoor seating but we decided to dine indoor. There's a good amount of options for flavored margaritas but I decided to stick to the classic margarita. I had a burrito and it was super filling. There was a pretty long wait for the food but that's probably because it was a busy Friday night. The music was great and it seemed like a fun place to come for a birthday dinner based on how many tables were celebrating birthdays. I highly recommend carpooling or ubering because this spot is located in downtown JC where parking is non-existent.
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
The atmosphere is fun and they have great incentives like endless tacos for $25 or cocktail flights for $17. The only thing lacking is authenticity in flavor. Those deeper and rich spices that you find in typical Mexican cuisine are absent. There's a wealth of Mexican ingredients in JC Heights with herbs and chilis that could help define the flavor for each dish. It would be nice to see Gringo's invent a little bit more. That said, a deconstructed choco taco is a cool concept. I suppose choco taco and authenticity shouldn't be in the same posting, but it gives you an idea of where I'm writing from culinarily speaking. Melding bolder flavors with exciting presentation will help to take Gringo's to 5 stars.
google avatar

Jerry D.

Yelp
The food truck was spot on. Food was good as hell too. I got three tacos the meat was well cooked and seasoned to perfection, all The toppings brought everything up another notch. My folk said that the street corn was amazing. Staff was her nice and had no issues customizing things for me. I'll be back!!

Yelp
i felt transported to the American Southwest when i came here a few weeks ago. the restaurant is very spacious and low-key, situated on a quiet street in JC. we got the following to try: -ta-tinga quesadilla: pretty tasty, the bf polished it up rather quickly. -surf & turf burrito: with shrimp, steak, rice, guac, and grilled onions. seasoning is perfect, though the grilled onions were still a little raw, but delicious overall with the creamy green sauce. the burrito also came with chips and a choice of salsa. i went with the roasted tomato and it was zesty and fresh, i really liked it. we also got the draft beer and mango aguafresca (delish!) to go with our meal. everything was good and i'd love to be back again! ps. they charge a 3% fee for using credit card and that fee is waived if you pay cash. something to keep in mind.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend turned me on to Gringos and we went on Taco Tuesday ! Great specials firstly but we didn't go the taco route exclusively . Started off with the monsterous nacho with beef. After I ordered the chicken quesadillas and she the tacos ( Chicken and waffle and some others ). Very good food but I would like to see more sauces :) . Service was good ( not great ) and the vibe is really cool - will definitely be back !!

Pinky N.

Yelp
I come here fairly often with friends because there is something for everyone, and we always have a fun time. The cocktails are great, especially the margaritas. I recently tried the No-Paloma mocktail, which was just as good as the real thing! The tacos are usually consistently good, with the sauces packing a punch of flavor. My favorite is the Look Mom I'm Vegan brussel sprout taco. Everything else is kind of hit or miss - I usually love the guacamole and super cheesy dip, although on my most recent visit the guacamole was very under seasoned and the super cheesy dip too much like the queso fundito and less like a dip. They've done a great job having a lot of meatless options, although for strict vegans would suggest they "commit" and run a separate frier for non-meat items like tortilla chips and the brussel sprouts for the vegan tacos. Reservations recommended on busier nights (Thurs-Sun). FYI, the space has a lot of energy, and can be loud. Service has always been terrific - patient with questions and very accommodating.

Yelp
First time here and the service and the food was amazing and yummy and we are for sure coming back .Too bad they don't deliver

Yelp
This place was kind of a good vibe, bright and colorful and has a great out door space. The food was good but definitely american I get where the gringo comes from haha but cute little place! The presentation was great, but the steak tacos lacked flavor.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
I stopped by for brunch on Sunday and the service was great, food was just okay. We ordered the quesadillas (no bacon). Drinks weren't good at all, esp the mezcal margarita. C+ overall.
google avatar

Cathy G.

Yelp
Summer Friday! In need of some tacos and drinks. Honestly Dem Nachos and the sweet tea were my favorite! The Bartender i wish I got his name was a sweetheart! The vibe is great! But the tacos were mediocre. The meat is over cooked. And the flavor wasn't there. Den nachos we ordered with some ground beef and the chips were crunchy. Order the drinks and the nachos and enjoy the atmosphere!
google avatar

Ally H.

Yelp
Great food and great vibes! We've always had a fun time at gringos, whether we sit on the outdoor patio, get some drinks at the bar, or sit and have their delicious tacos. Additionally, menu is clearly marked for gluten free and vegetarian options. If you're looking for a fun cocktail, you can try their margarita flight! We recently went on a Saturday night for dinner, and as we were leaving a DJ was setting up. I'm not sure if that is a weekly occurrence, but the music and restaurant vibe was very upbeat and fun!

Yelp
This restaurant has a very casual atmosphere. It's very impressive, From the very welcoming hostess, unique decorations, delicious and beautiful presentation dishes and the tentative waiter, I must say that "Gringos" is the best Mexican Restaurant in Jersey City. First time in Gringos, I noticed the beautiful plants by the entrance, the dim lights made the place cozy, the truck cut out at the end of the restaurant is unique and once I sat down I noticed what appear to be paper plates! The ambiance is very welcoming that I highly recommend everyone visit this place. As a group we ordered the empanadas and nachos as appetizers. I have to say the season chicken in the empanadas was tasteful as was the chicken in the nacho. My entre was the 3 Chicken and waffle. It was the perfect combination of delicious crispy chicken with thin waffles and sweet syrup!!! Just the idea of having waffles like taco is so extreme !!! I truly enjoyed every single bite of that meal!!! Do yourself a favor and come try their amazing creative dishes. Treat your spouse, asks a friend to tag along or simply visit alone. You'll be amaze! You're welcome In advance !!!

Yelp
Visited here while in NJ for the weekend. Cool atmosphere, outdoor patio seating, and helpful staff. There was a happy hour which I believe went from 3-5pm with discounted margs and draft beer. We had the chips and salsa trio. The chipotle salsa had a smokey, bbq taste to it. The pineapple salsa was spicy but not too bad. The traditional salsa was like a hot salsa. The chicken and waffles taco was great as the taco "shell" was a thin waffle. It's not crunchy though if that's what you're looking for. The ahi tuna one was fantastic. Also had a traditional lime marg on the rocks and a frozen white peach one. All were great and I'd definitely be back. One caveat which I didn't take any stars off for is that I'd like to be able to mix n'match the tacos. Each taco you buy has to be 2 or 3 of them. So you can't just get one of each. That'd be nice tho.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. From the decor, food and service- everything is great! Can't beat $25 all you can eat tacos :)

This place was so cute inside with great margaritas! They have lots of taco options. Nachos were to die for. Will definitely come back to try more types of tacos.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot for taco Tuesdays hands down!! All you can eat tacos for $20 is a steal and all the tacos are deviously flavorful. I can usually have 6 before I usually tap out or 8 tacos on a good day lol what surprised me most as a beef lover is their impossible taco ! It's vegan with beyond "meat" but tastes so flavorful you couldn't tell the difference at all. I like all my tacos shoftshell just because it's less messy to eat. They also have a really good deal on beer and a shot of tequila. The Dj is dope and the crowd is super lively. Make sure you make reservations beforehand because this place can get packed !

Yelp
This restaurant is such a nice spot to be at if you want some sense of "going out" responsibly. On Tuesdays they have a DJ, the specials are pretty good and the tacos are good too if you're looking for more of a specialty/different type of taco compared to traditional taco spots. Glows: -Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable -Staff is very attentive -Food presentation -90 minute maximum and they hold you to it (I saw it happen to a few people). I think it really speaks to them attempting to follow the rules. Also just a side, staff had their masks on all the time. Sometimes places can get a little lax (i get it), but if that's important to you the pay Gringo a visit. -They take reservations Grows: -The host was a bit dry and I get that it's busy, however, you're the face of the restaurant as people come in. It seemed like all business and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. Just didn't seem to match that energy. -Parking - looks like it can be an issue so if you have a reservation and aren't from the area like me give yourself the extra 15 to look for parking. In the end, I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
They made a mistake, but in their defense it's a lot easier to make mistakes when high maintenance people are ordering food. I'd consider my sister to be moderately high maintenance or above average maintenance. So when she ordered nachos without cheese... I wasn't surprised. I was surprised when her nachos came out with cheese. Ordering nachos without cheese is so bizarre that I assumed most people wouldn't forget it. It's like going to Starbucks and asking for a latte without coffee. Anyway, this place was nice enough to redo her order and the tacos I got were pretty good.

Yelp
This place is so cute! I love the colorful decor, it's a great girls night out or date night spot. They have indoor and outdoor seating and take reservations. When I visited last night the staff was so friendly and helpful, they gave us some awesome recommendations for food. I loved the We Found Nemo tacos, definitely better than your typical fish tacos and full of flavor. I also tried The Gringo taco and was impressed! I don't usually order beef tacos but these were delicious. I think my favorite part about this place is their chips and salsas and the cocktail flights. It's so nice to be able to try a bunch of different things. We opted for the pico de Gallo, salsa verde, and pineapple habanero (fair warning, this one is spicy).
