Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen {Fuqua}

Our server Jocelyn was so amazing. She helped me practice my Spanish. Keep checking on us to make sure we’re pleased with everything. I had the pollo marisco, absolutely creamy deliciousness. That will be my new fave.

Quick in the door no wait time. Although he place was busy. Saturday night. While staff did great. Nice host waitress & food was great. Made our visit to Houston even that much better.

I had a great experience at Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen today. I sat at the bar & Rachal provided awesome, attentive service from start to finish — she was friendly and on-the-ball!! ~Best service I've had in a long time~ Rachal even surprised me with an awesome rim of Tajin on my "skinny margarita" :) Excellent food too. I had the Zapata combo and the kitchen perfectly timed my plates. Thanks Rachal for the awesome service!

The Pacifico shrimp is bomb!!!!!!! I also had the margarita and it was so good. The green salsa is a favorite of mine. They put a lot of flavor in the shrimp. I liked how the bacon was cooked all the way. Sometimes when bacon is wrapped it’s not good right so I loved this one. The vegetables were good too. Our waiter was awesome! Her name was Amanda or Ashley or Anna or something like that but she knew the menu and answered every question asked. If she didn’t know it, she would tell us then go find the answer. We didn’t really have to look for her so that was good. The manager came and made sure everything was good and it was! Oh they have free ice cream. Great options for the kids because they always want ice cream. Thank you for the great experience here! I’m new to Houston and starting over, so this was nice!

Met here for a family meal and we will be back. Food was very flavorful and huge portions. Attention to details. Loved the addition of other veggies to the fajita plate and pico! The poblano cream sauce was decadent and delicious. Bailey, our server, was friendly and attentive and made sure we had time to visit and enjoy our meal. She also knew the menu well - the Blue Mule she recommended was so good that I had 2. The only draw back for me was the chips. They were thicker than normal and a little grainy. But the red and green sauces were great. The only reason I didn’t give Atmosphere 5 stars was the parking lot. It’s a little sketchy but there is security. All in all it was a great night.

our server was Miranda, she was the best server ever. Excellent service, and was so sweet to me and my friends. Loved her, and loved the food!!!

The best food item is the crispy shrimp enchiladas!! Our waitress was really nice. Sometimes it is a long wait and staff does take long to come by to your table but it’s understandable. The only thing they need, is more light outside. Parking lot is very dark. Green salsa is so good!

Great spot with unique dishes! They have several sauces for their enchiladas that are all high quality. The hatch chili enchiladas were a great seasonal dish. The restaurant is really nice inside and clean. Service was on point and this was on a busy Sunday morning. Prices were good considering the quality. Portion sizes were just right. Nothing huge, but enough to complete a meal. The restaurant seemed busy, so other probably feel the same.

Sunday dinner on the go we did things backwards today we had ice cream for funday Sunday and then went to our favorite hangout for late dinner. We changed it up a bit since it was later, I picked the Cobb salad with combo fajitas and my daughter had combo quesadillas with side of rice. Great quick service and we were out of there.

If you're wondering who's keeping Gringos in business, it's me and my family lol. Gringos is as consistent as they come, I know exactly what to expect and they always deliver. No, this is not authentic Mexican food so please don't expect that. This is Tex-mex on an affordable scale. I get the same thing every time, the seafood enchiladas and they never disappoint, don't skip the green salsa it's delish. Margaritas are good, get the Cadillac, and they have happy hour too. I don't live in Houston anymore but I stop here when I'm in town, they have several locations and I haven't had an issue at any. This one is closer to Hobby airport so I went here before catching my flight. I sat at the bar, service was fast and friendly and food piping hot. Everything was clean including the restroom. Gringos gets the job done!

Food came out fast, everything tasted good, and our server was attentive. I have no complaints. Started off the meal with complimentary salsa and chips. The tortilla chips are pretty good, and I really liked the avocado salsa. We ordered some guacamole, southwest egg rolls, and two sets of the fajitas for 2. More than enough food for a group of 4 people. Usually, I'm hesitant about tex-mex chain restaurants, but this was a pleasant meal!

I haven't enjoyed Mexican food in quite a while the food was very appetizing the alcoholic drinks on the other hand are expensive and lack quality considering they use margarita mix but I'll keep the 5 stars because it's about the food at the end of the day

As soon as my daughter got off the plane, she wanted to go to Gringo's. It was lunch time so we came to the one not far from Hobby Airport. The food was hot and very fresh! Delicious. I ended up leaving my delicious drink with the whip cream on top. Ten stars.

Great service, seated right away and excellent decor. Waiter presented great knowledge of the menu options and would accommodate any player to your likes. Food is good and tasty. Good service & wait staff work as a team.

Drinks are made with tap water, they reek of chlorine. We had issues with our drinks, they ran out of sprite syrup and our drinks tasted like club soda made with tap water. So we had to opt for coke instead, which was not that good either. Same chlorine tap water taste. The food was mediocre at best. I enjoyed the appetizers waaaaaaay more than anything we ordered. The fresh chips and avocado were the best thing we had here, and those were just the appetizers. I ordered seafood "enchiladas", which is just cheddar cheese filled flour tortilla rolls smothered in a cream sauce. Topped with small shrimp and a sprinkle of crayfish the size of my pinky nail. Waaaaaaay too rich with the heavy cream and cheese makes this just over the top dairy explosion. I couldnt finish it its like eating a block of cheese and cream, no balance at all. We also ordered the Marisco bowl, with Steak combo. It was overwhelmingly salty, especially the steak. No balance to the dish at all either. Id prefer going to chipotle over this dish hands down. Fish tacos were okay, but it is missing a good salsa to go with it. It was also served with the refried beans, which we barely touched because its waay too over seasoned with whatever they are using some kind of bullion base. Its the worst beans ive ever had. I was suffering some indigestion problems when I got back home. Ive never had this experience before I give this restaurant a heck no never again / 10. Our bill was 77$ including soda for a table of 3. The refried beans are extremely salty, I do not know why they season their refried beans like this. I swear I did not feel good after eating here there is just so much salt on EVERYTHING. I went here because of the number of reviews. Find something else, the chinese buffets and other local eats Probably miles better and they are Located just across the street. Staff was nice and considerate. Servers were great. At least theres that.

Stop here regularly on trips between the Coastal Bend and Houston area. Always pretty full, however a seriously SHORT wait times. Delicious TexMex dishes with large portions. Servers professional, knowledgeable and there to assist. Offers a Military Discount (10%).

LOVE LOVE LOVE Gringos. I have been a patron for over twenty (20) years. Staff is amazing. Drinks are outstanding. My problem is that they allow children at the bar. TRULY, NOT appropriate!

Everyone in Houston knows Gringos serves great food! So much so that the wait for a table is often more than an hour. Luckily, you can get on the waitlist virtually... but don't tell too many people! I love the fajitas, the seafood enchiladas, the tostadas, the tortilla soup... and on and on! Beautiful inside with consistently good service! Can't go wrong at Gringos!

I was expecting chain Tex Mex and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food as well as the service. The locale was clean and fun with the after church crowd clearly evident. Our server was excellent (I wish I recalled her name) and I will return for sure.

Spot on. Loved the food and ambiance of this place and had great service to boot. Came in from out of town and was craving good local texmex (I haven't had in a few years). This place hit so well. We strolled in just as happy hour was hitting. The waiter didn't mind waiting 10 min on drinks to get us a slight deal there. The chips were plentiful and salsa tasty with quick refills without even asking. The best part for me was the pork pastor fajitas. Wow did those taste good. The lime squeezed over the top opened up the flavor and the meat was so tender and tasty. Easily the best pork fajitas I've ever had. The kids and wife were happy with their food but not as over the top pleased as I was. Enchiladas and tacos for them all and pretty solid but not spectacular. All in all, I'd give a 4.5 if I could but just a bit off of a 5 star rating to me.

Gringos is always a great time! From their food to their service, I've never had a bad experience. The restaurant is just beautifully decorated and inviting. Their queso is so good- and I'm not even crazy about cheese like that! My favorite plate to get is the veracruz with fajitas and bacon wrapped shrimp- so good. Not to mention their homemade avocado green sauce and freshly made corn/flour tortillas. Service is always quick and attentive. The staff is very sweet, professional and knowledgeable. The managers are even great too and check on the tables. This is a great location and you will certainly leave happy and full.

I had lunch today at gringos on Gulf hwy, my server was Mayra she was amazing I didn't know what to get and she recommended the fish taco and it was a great recommendation...

My server was Star and she was so sweet and helpful! The food was extra yummy too. A lot better than some of the other locations I've been :)

I always enjoy my meals at Gringos. It may not be the best Mexican food around but it is always consistently good and service is always friendly and quick. Cadillac margaritas are fantastic. Their special hatch enchiladas right now are really worth the visit!

India is absolutely amazing! She always has a smile on her face. She loves what she does and is great at it! We love when she is on duty.

Food, atmosphere, server were excellent. They do not accommodate parties over 6 well. Party of 9 and we had well over an hour wait, even with getting on the wait-list before leaving home. Kudos to the kids in our party for being able to wait so long with getting whiney or disruptive.

Our favorite server India just makes the whole restaurant experience so much better! I love her so much, she made the food taste amazing with her lovely service and great ambiance Full of love and joy. She blessed our lives and changed my food perspective I can't wait to come back.

Pedro made this a 5 star experience hands down! We've been to many Gringos before and know the food to be consistently delicious but amazing service and friendliness makes a lasting impression. We didn't feel like we had to wait for anything, chips and salsas were never empty, and he even brought our tea refills with half sweet and half unsweet w/o us asking when he noticed I had earlier requested a separate cup of unsweetened to mix with. Great family dinner!

I've eaten here several times. And it's always been great. Famous for their queso and I always recommend getting it. The food is always been very consistent and there's a lot of it. It may not be the best. Tex-Mex place in Houston but it is one of the best.

Our server Cheese (yes, that's his name!) was awesome!!! He was attentive and engaging! FOOD IS ALWAYS ON POINT! Manager came by to check on us AS USUAL! Best TEX-MEX food in Houston and price cannot be beat! Highly recommend!

First time trying this restaurant and honestly, I would come back for sure. The staff were super friendly and with it being Mother's Day, we didn't experience any delays!

it's new in Conroe so everything is nice. The food amounts is smaller portions. We had fajitas for two, only gave us 3 flour tortillas each. it was not hot sizzling but very warm. the rice and refried beans are good. the salsas was very cold not warm. I guess some people probably don't care how cold it is. The chips came in a small basket. Basically I gave them 3 stars.

On this day I decided to Dine alone. I had to fast since yesterday. Upon arrival I was seated in a booth (my choice, my Server showed up at my table. I asked for a lunch menu. She replied no that Gringo' doesn't have a lunch menu. Then she said to me that "don't you come here". When my order came she asked me if I wanted anything else. I asked her where was the corn tortillas because I received flour. Then said went to the back to correct it. After a while the manager came back to see if his patrons had what they needed. I told him about getting flour tortillas and not corn as I asked. He asked me what can he do to to compensate. I told him I'd like a beer. As soon as he brought the beer my server came by and wanted to charge for the beer. I told her that the manager brought it. So my word wasn't good enough so she said she'll go to the manager. So she came back with the check. with the check. Is she worthy of a good tip? I am giving her. 20% even with the lacking of customer service and.

Not a bad restaurant. Refills were kinda slow to happen. The servers were mostly good. I thought about giving less stars because I was called a sir twice. The food was good and hot when it came out. The plates were very hot when they arrived. The restaurant was a bit dark but we did go at night. The decor was dark but nice. I think if they added a little more color and light it would be better. Overall not bad just watch out for the ride wait staff. They can make the experience go down hill.

I forgot to add a review for this place, my coworker bought us lunch from this place and their steak fajitas were amazing. Loved the food, side dishes were rice and beans and salad. Great food, highly recommended

Inalwsys live the food at Gringos Pearland. The servers are organized and friendly no matter what day of the week. The staff are professional, courteous. You are seated as soon as a table becomes available. Your food is always hot and the presentation is right on. The drinks are awssome!

We visited Houston to see my 95 year old mama. Tex Mex is a must for me since nothing like this food exists in Reno, Nevada where we live. We got there early for a dinner with my lifelong friend. Our server was very attentive and understanding that we were early and just wanted to enjoy the experience that Gringo's offers. The Queso Loco w/chicharrones was an amazing choice for an appetizer. We don't eat that much anymore and the serving was so large we were able to share it with our dinner companions when they arrived. The Cadillac Margaritas were wonderful after a full day of travel from Reno. We enjoyed the chicken enchiladas and the sauces they provide with their chips. The service was impeccable. Thank you Gringos for my Mexican food fix!

visited restaurant on Nov 10, 2024. We had Lucious as our server. He did a fantastic job in showing up with enthusiasm, and charm. He was very attentive to us, made sure we were well stocked on chips and salsa. We were also visited by Eric , one of the Managers in training. He was also very attentive to the customers making sure everyone was pleased with their food and service. Both Eric and Lucious made for a great evening!

The food was amazing! I had a very good server he did very well in understand what be needed his name was Alex F. or Alex Fuentes he was good in reporting back to me when we needed boxes or paper towels and was overall nice.

new on their menu! i also had the shrimp empanadas and shrimp tacos which are also new and everything was amazing and perfect. our server Rebekah was so amazing. sweet, attentive, prompt, and very demure i usually come on tuesdays by myself and get amazing service from the sweet Bianca as well. i'll always be a long term customer here

Stopped in for dinner. I've been here before and I'm always impressed by the friendly service from the staff. I tried the Mariachi meal this time and it was really good. Way too much food for me but that's ok. The price is right and everything was spot on.

MAYRA was an amazing waitress! She was on top of her game and knew what we needed before we even asked. She has the drinks replenished quickly, extra chips on the table, and was very friendly and helpful! We will be coming back to see her again!

Came with my daughters. Had a little wait due to the restaurant not being open at full capacity. Food was great. Our waitress, Maria, was very sweet and made great recommendations on what to order and we took her advice. She kept our drinks, chips, and dips topped off and had our food out very fast. The restaurant was clean, orderly, and had a nice relaxing feel since they were limiting capacity.
