I will never come here again. I came here for the first time in the summer. I ordered a quesadilla and queso with chips. One of the owners, Jeremy, both made my food and rang me up. He told me my total and then he swiped my card. There was no option offered for me to tip, as he didn't hand me any slip to sign. And I had no cash, so he did not receive a tip. I always tip on takeout, but it was not possible in this case. Anyway, after I paid he didn't give me a receipt. He walked away and then I was able to get his attention to ask for one. He then went into the computer and printed out someone else's receipt. I immediately caught the mistake, and he went back into the computer to print out mine. He confirmed it was my receipt before he gave it to me, so I didn't think twice to look at it again. I left the restaurant and went about my day. A few days later I checked my credit card app and I saw my total had changed. I found my receipt and found at the bottom he added a tip! He literally just made up a random number. And no -- automatic tip is not included. And I know how much he told me he was swiping my card for. So here's the kicker. I called and he picked up immediately. When I explained what happened, he was literally silent and then made up an excuse. He tried to tell me a tip was added because I was behind a plexiglass barrier and he wouldn't have been able to pass me a slip to sign? What? You were able to pass me a receipt and my food. So that's a lie. And not a reason to add your own tip -- let alone make up a number. I was like what? Then he asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes. I was very annoyed at this point, but said sure. An hour goes by. I called back and he AGAIN tried to tell me he was too busy to deal with this. That's when I got upset. He then made up a different excuse, saying his fingers might have accidentally hit the tip button on the register. You were caught in a lie buddy. Then he told me I had to come all the way to the restaurant to receive a refund for the tip. I live 1.5 hours away so that was not happening. He ended up venmoing me the amount of the tip, to the penny. All that hassle and upset and he didn't even make it right. And I didn't even mention the quesadilla I ordered was not good. It actually left a cardboard taste in my mouth, and there was barely any brisket on it. The queso was good and had the whole tip thing never happened, I probably would have given this place a second chance during my next beach trip. But I will never, ever eat here again. It seems care more about making a few extra bucks then keeping a customer.
