Great local stop to grab some food and look at some fun gifts. Staff were very nice and the environment was great. Always a good go to stop when visiting town.

Went in here once in need of a drink and a bathroom break. Then decided based on the initial friendliness of the staff that I’d go back for the food experience. Loved it.

Awesome place, ORDER MONTE CRISTO you won't regret it!! I asked for home potato chips, best home potato chips I've ever had Full of flavor, the home salsa was so good I used it instead of the syrup you normally use with the Monte Cristo it was so good. Service 5 starts Atmosphere 5 starts Cleanliness 5 start Food 5 star with the Monte cristo They had a small shop also, and outdoor seating with shade, place is awesome!

A Café in the mountains!!! And that is what it is!!! Bears everywhere!!! Moose and deers! All you want to see 🥰 My food was half a chicken sandwich and a garden salad 🥗 Blue cheese dressing on the side 👏 My husband's was fis#h and chips!!!!He said it was very good 👍 And the waitress, Haley, absolutely great! Friendly, helpful, and efficient !! For sure, I will go back! My husband had been there before.

Disappointed by New Dog Policy I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and have always brought my 3 well-behaved, leashed dogs without any issue. It’s been one of our favorite spots. However, on my most recent visit—after driving 45 minutes to get there—I was told by the manager that only service dogs are now allowed. When I explained our history with the place, she simply said, “I don’t know who’s been allowing it, but it’s service dogs only now.” If you’re a dog owner looking for a pet-friendly spot, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this one.

A family owned restaurant and always dependable for decent meals. The hot sandwiches are very tempting. The burgers selections are not too bad either. We had the Grizzly burger with fries. The burgers selections are was good but the seasoned fries are da bomb! Deep it in ketchup or the bbq came with the burger were delicious. Very cozy place to dine.

Went there when it snowed in January two days in a row ( I drove from Los Angeles) and it was so beautiful and the staff was so welcoming! They have some amazing food, a talking moose on the wall and swings hanging outside! Such a cute spot! Will def be back!

We love it here💜👍👍👍👍👍👍👍the girlies who work there are are very kind...friendly homie quaint atmosphere...the environment is like a Christmas lifetime movie😁🥰it has a gift shop ...I will be back to shop....it doesn't seat a whole lot of people..has maybe 9-10 tables but you can also sit at the counter..... This place is so cute, very friendly, and has delicious food! Plus they have a little cute shop to the side of the restaurant that always has adorable things like holiday decor, bear/mountain decor, etc. CUTE. I have been here a few times and service is always spot on and super friendly. Love it. Food is yummy with plenty of options. I enjoy having breakfast, lunch, or dinner here. Their sandwiches are delicious and they have some pretty yummy dessert options as well. Definitely a favorite spot in town; thank you!

I loved this cute mountain restaurant and it's amazing breakfast food. I was immediately sold on the biscuits and gravy, which were delicious. After starting with those, I also got the Tim sandwich, which was a grilled chicken, avocado and jack cheese toasted on garlic parmesan bread. Absolutely amazing and everything I want in a sandwich. My vegetarian boyfriend ordered an omelette and hash brown. We were stuffed and I still brought home half the meal!

The tastiest little mountain cafe! The environment is homey and cozy, there is a bunch to shop for inside which o wasn't expecting either! All the staff were young and friendly and patient with older clients which was cool to see. The food was larger than expected and really good! I'd intentionally come back to this spot on my next mountain adventure!

My guy and I have been real estate hunting for some additional property. And have been exploring several areas. We've never been to wrightwood so we dropped by this evening and happened upon the Grizzly Cafe. The cafe food portion and gift shop are attached to be another. We ordered the soup of the day and mozerella sticks, coffee and hot teas. All arrived quickly and yummy. Afterwards went shopping in the gift shop to look for salt and pepper shakers. So many cute ones are perfect Xmas gifts. Such a cozy and warm holiday experience. Will return. Would love to see the fireplace lit as well in the cafe on these cold winter nights. Thanks guys!

What a great location in Wrightwood! I was visiting the area while my son went snowboarding so I checked Yelp for a place to go have a drink/some food while I waited. There are not tons of choices, but so glad I found this place! When I got there I saw a table outside with christmas decor at 70% off, some really lovely items. I got a couple of snowflake ornaments. They also have a super cute gift shop inside the restaurant. I asked the girl at the front if I could have a table near an outlet and she accommodated me at a 4 person table, which I thought was very nice. My server was amazing! She let me take my time at the table while I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine, then I ordered some food, and she always checked on me and told me not to rush. Menu was huge, so many selections. Wine was a great deal at $7 a glass and I ordered a club sandwich which was so yummy and huge. I only had half and gave my son the rest, it really was enough for two people. Also got the fruit cup and that was good, had a variety like melon, orange, grapes, etc. I'll have to come back for breakfast next time. Awesome place for good food and great service!

Was super sad to have just missed breakfast so this review is on their lunch. The inside is cozy (cabin vibes) and is connected to a cute store. Service was warm and great. Got the grizzly burger with coleslaw and their fish and chips (comes with fries and coleslaw). Portions are pretty big. The fries were amazing - super crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The batter on the fish was light, which I loved but was overall a bit bland (the tartar sauce you can dip it in is good though). The burger and coleslaw were solid too - just wish we got the thousand island sauce on the side because it was a bit much on the burger. Overall, would come back when we're in the area to try their breakfast!

Went to Mtn High one Saturday morning. Decided to check out this place before we left and were not disappointed! We were a party of 5. Three adults and 2 children. We got there about 30-45 before dinner. We were seated within minutes of walking in. The waitress was very nice. All of the staff were nice. Because we arrived between lunch and dinner, not all of the dinner items were available. We decided to order appetizers while we waited 30 mins before we ordered so we could get dinner which I believe started at 4. Everything we ordered was delicious! Even the kids' pasta looked good. The serve large portions, so bring your stretchy pants! Next time I'm in town I plan to swing by again. Typing this up now is making my mouth drool!

First time here. It's a really cute spot. However the breakfast menu is quite small. Food is average. Nothing to brag about. Quite expensive too. My husband and I shared a plate . I got a side of pancakes and bacon. It was almost $50! Potatoes were hard and not seasoned.I'd rather stay home and cook.

Service was disappointing. Even with empty tables, we waited too long and were offered a dark corner table. Food was just average, and they charged a card fee without asking--even if paying cash. Came back the next day with my wife, and sadly, the poor service was the same.

The food is homemade ,tasty,old times atmosphere a.the homemade potato chips and blue cheese burger are the best! Fun seasonal shopping too

Breakfast is over at 11:30 and that is the only bummer. They need to make it all day..!!! Hope they read this....!! Otherwise great food, great service and great location.

The food was DELICIOUS!! Hardly waited for the food to come out and the orange juice was so yummy as well! Big thank you to Pam who was so welcoming and so sweet to our table. If we were to ever come back, we will definitely ask for her. Thank you grizzly cafe.

Love! Love! Love! This little cafe! The ambiance is just like being right in the mountains! The food was incredible! My dad said, 'Best BBQ sandwich ever!' The service was great! Literally felt like family!

Cute restaurant, slash gift shop with a rustic decor that seems to be popular with locals. Had dinner with a party of eight. The menu focuses primarily on American cuisine. Service was good and the food was fairly standard. Overall, nothing stood out enough for me to return.

My boyfriend researched this place and we came up here for breakfast and snow! Its is a small place and yes there is a wait. But the food is amazing and the gift shop is so cute! We had Emily as our waitress. But to be honest everyone is so friendly. We definitely had an amazing time! And we will be back!

Stop in this little small town cafe and was pleasantly surprised. My son and I came out to wrightwood for a beautiful Scenic drive along Angeles Crest Highway. The reviews were great so we gave it a try. So glad we did. The food and service were excellent. My son had a patty melt and fries and he said it was the best he's ever had. He loved the food. He's fries were delicious and crispy and not over fried. I had a bbq bacon burger and I'd put this on par with just about anything I've had before. It was delicious. So we decided to order a dessert as the menu looked really good. We ordered the grizzly bear brownie Sunday. We almost ordered two, but our wonderful waitress Emily said they are massive, just a warning. So we said 1 will do. And boy was she not kidding. It was massive and also wonderful. Like the old Bob's big boy Sunday's. Man I'm so glad we stopped in this cute little place and ate here. I will definitely be back. Fantastic experience. The gift shop upfront adds a nice cabin touch.

Just wanted to come on here and say Haley and Karen gave me one of the best server experiences ever, they were amazing 10/10 and this place has really amazing food too, great service and amazing food, thank you to those two amazing ladies for making my friends and i's night 10x better!

OK have to update now that I have some better pictures of our food. Love this place! Indoor and outdoor seating, great food and friendly service. The adjoining store has different items depending on the season all year long. I usually pick up something cute there on our way in or out.

A trip to Wrightwood just isn't complete without first stopping in at the Grizzly Cafe. This little gem is known for its home style cooking and hospitality. I highly recommend their burgers and fries...some of the best I've tasted.

This was my third time coming here. The previous visit's were great this time not so much. It took awhile to be seated at a table. Our waitress was very brief with us, i felt as though she was waiting on too many tables at the same time. When we got our drink orders our sodas were flat, we had to wait some time before we got the chance to change it. When we did unfortunately the other soda tasted flat so we realized it was the soda machine. I ordered the club house and my husband ordered a pastrami burger. I loved my club house & the fries were hot and fresh and the dill pickle was great. My husband on the other hand was not happy with his burger. He said the burger patty had no flavor and the pastrami was cold and tasted days old. He gave me a piece to try and i must say it was pretty gross. I told him to send back the food but he was starving by this point and he didn't want to wait for food again. As he kept eating his burger he noticed the patty was dry in the center. We found that really but i guess it was the way the cook cooked it. I should have snapped a photo but i didn't think of it in the moment. Well with that being said, previous visits have always been great i have no idea why on a Thursday it was completely different story.

12/9 had a truly delicious pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes and veggies in a pleasant setting with attentive service. At breakfast the following morning I had the senior breakfast special with a piece of French toast, egg, slice of bacon and coffee for the reasonable price under 10$. Came here with 3 friends after snowboarding all day and we came in STARVING. They have a cute gift shop right when you walk in. The decor was very "bear" and "campsite" oriented, it's adorable. It wasn't very busy so we sat right away, ordered our food, and it came out SO quick! The grizzly burger was amazing, as my friend told me. My other friend ordered the country fried steak and after we all took a little bite, we wished we ordered it instead! I personally didn't love the gravy that came with the mash though. For myself, I ordered the asian chicken salad. It was good, but I do wish my chicken wasn't warm because it warmed up the rest of my salad as I tossed everything around on the plate. We all shared a cinnamon roll for dessert, if you like sort of crispy on the edges cinnamon rolls then it is not for you because the whole thing was super soft and gooey. Just a preference though! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy ambiance and generous portions! Also, our server was very nice and attentive.

Came in last night with my boyfriend, Hayley was our server and she was the sweetest I loved her!!!! We ordered a lot because everything sounded so good. We got Hot Chocolate, Hot tea, and a coke. All the drinks were delicious. We ordered Zucchini as an appetizer and it was gone within two seconds so yummy. I got Country Fried Steak with Jalapeño Cheese soup and devoured it within like 5 minutes. My boyfriend got the Pastrami Burger and loved it. Very good portions, good food, good drinks, good prices, and amazing service. Will definitely be back here!!!

The food is always delicious at Grizzly Cafe. Almost everything is a made in house. Ask your server, they will answer any questions. Also, they're friendly staff. I like all meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast - they have the best chicken fried steak. They offer so many sides. It is big enough to share. I enjoy their hash browns and the biscuits and gravy. Lunch - I like their burgers, salads, soups, and sandwiches. Everything I have ordered is tasty. My go-tos are the tri tip sandwich (the meat is so tender and flavorful and not that fatty), the crispy chicken salad (large enough to share if you want, the salad is always fresh and crisp), the soups (any, all are good. I like the broccoli cheddar, and the Italian soup). i also really like the grizzly burger - you can also ask for a lettuce wrap or extra patties. The fish and chips are also tasty. They use fresh fish, not frozen! dinner - i really like the prime rib (Thursdays). They also have other steaks, pasta dishes. For sides, I really like the potato chips and salsa - all made in house. The baked potato is quite good. The iced tea is always refreshing. This is my favorite spot to eat in Wrightwood. as a long time customer, they now charge a take out fee** docked 1 star... such a bummer for us locals

The service was really good. And we sat outside, which was a pleasant afternoon. I had ordered a chicken breast sandwich. Instead of getting a chicken breast, I got a thin slice of a chicken breast more bread than anything else. I was highly disappointed. They should've put on the menus slice of chicken breast cause that's exactly what I got. Although I paid for a full chicken breast. The french fries were good at least. My friend had the Ortega beef melt which the beef was so dried up that it was tasteless- yes we shared sandwiches.. Don't think I'll be coming back here any time soon. I would much rather go to the pizza place around the corner.

Great place. We drive up just for the halibut fish and chips. Salad and burgers everything fantastic. Even the water is good. Do yourself a favor. Get out of LA for a little bit then take a walk around Jackson Lake.

Food is great ! and plus our waitress was amazing her name is Pamela. Pamela made sure to take care of our entire big family of 13, and even ensured we all had refills for our drinks before they were even empty. Excellent service here, food was fresh, accurate, and delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food and a cozy little spot for Christmas shopping with uniquely creative selections! The atmosphere made me feel like I was at my grandma's house, warm, inviting, and filled with friendly faces. The customer service was excellent, and the food was served in generous portions, fresh and flavorful, as if it were homemade.

The staff were helpful and polite. Food was good and arrived promptly. The staff made a good suggestion for a place to stop for a picnic lunch on the way home

Service is extremely slow. Waited 15 minutes on a slow Tuesday afternoon without being seated before leaving.

The food is home cooked style and delicious very large portions. Servers are very friendly. Country cabin cozy style and extremely clean. We have eaten every meal here while visiting this charming little town. Gift shops inside and next door (The Mercantile)have amazing stuff also!!!

Delicious turkey avocado cranberry sandwich with a cup of clam chowder. Filling and great presentation. The restaurant is clean and moderate noise with a cozy mountain ambiance.

My family and I had gone camping nearby and decided to come into town for breakfast; Grizzly Cafe seemed pretty promising. Walking in can be a little overwhelming if you don't know what to expect -- their front door leads into a old-school gift shop filled with all sorts of forest-inspired decor. We almost felt like we had walked into the wrong place. The wait wasn't too bad, though we opted to eat on the outdoor patio. Service was really good, with the servers being very friendly and efficient. My teen and I split a country fried steak and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy and country potatoes, my husband got the corned beef hash and eggs, and my toddler got the pancake special -- guys, the servings are MASSIVE. The biscuits and gravy are like a meal all on their own, with the gravy very heavy and creamy. My son said they were the best he has had. My husband loved his hash (it was salty, as it should be). Both our plates came with the country potatoes (carbs represent), and we were pleasantly surprised by the side of salsa that came with them -- super delicious. My toddler devoured his pancakes before we could take a bite. Definitely will be stopping by again next time we go up the mountain!

We are at Wrightwood weekly and this is our go-to place. Fantastic sandwiches and great service (thanks Roxy). They just changed their fries - now seasoned, and delicious.

Thought the meat was a little skimpy for the ai jus sandwich, but what I could not get in my stomach I got in the form of eye candy with the cute cabin decorations all around.

The food was bomb forreal forreal! Service was as it should be as well. Our servers name is Karen and she was the absolute best! Will be back, often.

Spent the day in Wrightwood with our puppy and saw this place allowed dogs. That is not the case. They said only service dogs are allowed. They need to make this more clear.
