Grizzly Tuna

We try to stop by every time we’re in town visiting because I love their fish and chips. I am not kidding when I say it’s the best fish and chips I’ve ever had from anywhere! And they are so decently priced compared to other places. The breading is so crispy and crunchy and cooked to perfection. The fries are also crispy and delicious. My husband tried their fish tacos this time and he said it’s the best fish tacos he’s ever had. He messaged his friend right away because fish tacos is one of his friend’s favorite meals. Everything is always so fresh, cooked to order and comes out piping hot! The customer service is also great! They are so nice and friendly and always ask if they can give our pups treats when we stop by. It’s a small little stand off the side of the street and there is 2 small table with seats out front. We usually just eat in the car or take it back to our hotel to eat. I look forward to coming here whenever we are in town visiting!

Holy smokes- was not expecting it to be that good! We lucked out and got there during a lull. No wait to order! We got two large fish combos and one order of fish tacos. It was more than enough for five people and came with plenty of tartar sauce and ketchup (which is way more impressive and rare than it sounds). The fish was crispy, with a thicker batter than I’m used to, but the tuna was flaky and hot. The fries practically popped when you bit them. The fish tacos really blew me away tho- they were loaded to the rim with sauce and veggies and two fish patties each. Really good!

I've been coming here for years now whenever my family goes fishing! Always has that crunch and great tasting fish. Although I do remember them serving bigger portions back then at a lower price than it is now. Sometimes, we come here too early before it opens, kinda sucked but the fish n chips make up for it.

We make it a point to visit Grizzly Tuna every time we're in town, and for god reason-their fish tacos are, without a doubt, the best I've ever had anywhere! The pricing is also incredibly reasonable, especially compared to other spots. The fish boasts a perfectly crispy and crunchy breading, and the fries are just as delicious and well-cooked.

We swung through the drive thru today around 3pm. A short wait for the car in front of us before we ordered the large fish and chips and an order of fish tacos. Everything was fresh, hot and delivered quickly and efficiently with a smile. So far, the best meal we’ve had in Seaside. The panko fried albacore tuna is extra crispy and much denser than halibut or cod fish and chips. Such a scrumptious basket of fish! The semi-spicy tomato mix and load of cojita cheese on the fish tacos made for the perfect garnish. Would highly recommend and will most likely visit this fish shack again before we leave town!

Absolutely love Grizzly Tuna! The food is always fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The portions are generous and the service is consistently friendly and fast. It’s one of our favorite go-to spots whenever we’re craving seafood. Highly recommend!

We went there on a Tuesday and the place is basically a food stand with two drive up windows. We were behind two other vehicles and waited for a about fifteen minutes. They only have a small portion and large portion of fish and chips along with fish tacos. We ordered two large orders of fish and chips and were pleasantly surprised to see how big the order was. I was told by a friend who recommended this place that the fish they use is albacore tuna and not cod but he assured me its still very good. I was surprised by how good the fish was. It was excellent. My wife and I could not finish the two orders. It was a lot of food. The only bad thing is there is no place to "eat in". There are two picnic tables in the parking lot but other than that there is no seating area. The fries are very good too. I highly recommend this place. Next time I'm in Seaside I will be back.

Best fish tacos serve had on the coast. That sauce is perfect. Get extra fries!

uummmmm wow!!!! BEST fish tacos I have EVER had!!!!! Sauce was spicy, too much for hubby but perfect for me. And they were loaded with fish, cabbage, sauce and I think feta. Hubby is the fish n chips guy. He couldn't say enough. The tuna was firm with a rich flavor. The batter was crunchy like a panko kind of thing - not soft and greasy. Im not a french fry person so no review on those. I will definitely be sending all my friends there.

I highly recommend this place. The tacos were so delicious. Everything was so fresh and hot. I'll be returning anytime I'm in town. A little gem with amazing food and service.

My friend and I came here during a little visit to Seaside and we kinda felt catfished by the place. It's like a drive through food cart kind of thing, and while there are 2 tables by the side of the road one could sit at, we were told not to park in the parking lot where the food cart is located. They let us place our order anyway, as we had mistakenly parked and gotten out of our car to order, but then made us get back into the car to drive up to the window and pick up our order. All in all a kind of strange experience. We ended up taking the food to the beach to eat. The food itself was okay, kinda heavy, and felt a little like a waste to fry up good tuna like that. The breading was a little too thick and greasy for me, and the chips were mediocre. We were both surprised at all the rave reviews. We are glad we tried it just to see what tuna could be like in fish and chips, but neither of us would go back.

Oh my. These are THE BEST fish tacos and fish and chips I have ever had in my life. The tuna is firm and flavorful with the best crunchiest panko breading ever. Service was quick and friendly and the food came out piping hot. Location is right off the highway with only two tables to sit at, so be prepared to eat in your car. And definitely be prepared to wait on a weekend or holiday. A must try if you are in the area!

Driving tanker on a Saturday and dumped some fuel in seaside.. after completing the delivery I searched grizzly tuna and found it was merely one mile away... so drove down there the place looks like a coffee shop so I drove up in the tanker and ordered me some fish and chips... it was good... tasty... and filling... fries are flavored and good.. I'll go back soon. The nice lady working was quick about each drlivery making my experience even better.. clean looking grounds and faculty ..

I'm not a big fan of cooked tuna steaks, but we came to try the fish tacos, which were delightful! The tuna is firm, but not dry, with a nice thin crispy panko crust which holds its own in the tacos. The toppings on the taco really elevate it with a nice combo of fresh veggies and cheese--they're perfect as is. Tip: there is a drive-up window on both sides, depending on which way you are driving into the lot. There are 2 picnic tables by the road.

Excellent fish tacos! Fast friendly service piping hot delicious cabbage topping and crunchy tasty tuna hunks....will be back next time on the Oregon coast.

The pieces of fish were very dry and thin. The breading to meat ratio was completely out of proportion. For this kind of money, do yourself a favor and go up to Astoria for incredible fish and chips at The Bowpicker.

I was super excited to stop here and try this fish, after reading reviews, but, left super disappointed! The fish was SOOOOOOOO dry, I was unable to eat it, and threw it away, and as far as the fry's go, they were mediocre at best, nothing to write home about at all!

Excellent fish (salmon) and chips. Served in a bag with excellent tartar sauce. Highly recommend!!! They have picnic tables in the front if you choose to eat there. They also have the option of drive-thru.

Saw comments about this place on our neighborhood site so we decided we needed to try it. So HAPPY we did. First, the service was fast, and friendly!! The tuna fish & chips were fantastic! The portions were generous, and the tartar sauce was homemade and delicious. We will definitely stop whenever we are in Seaside.

The tuna tacos were mediocre. It was definitely different though. Tacos made of fine and big tacos with toppings. But the service and staff wasn't very pleasant to deal with.

I love Griz Tuna! Sadly I'm not there now but my coparent is and told him to stop by. I'd often get their tuna on trips. I love I can drive thru. Great food and folks!

Lady working today at lunch was awesome! Tuna was great as always, get the spicy sauce for dipping the French fries into.

Omg this was an amazing stop for us. We went off of Google reviews and they had 4.7 stars. The tuna fish and chips were off the hook amazing. So good and so fresh tasting. The tartar sauce was also so good! We will definitely be back!

Delicious tuna and real potato french fries. Its always freshly made and yummy! They offer many sauces but my favorite is just lemon which they are happy to oblige. Check it out.

Went here with my family and we absolutely loved it! We got 2 orders of the fish tacos and we all loved them. Super fresh and glad we stopped by here! Saw multiple people leave in there cars after 5 minutes or less of waiting which is hilarious because they are used to McDonald's food being thrown out but took less then 10 to get fresh food and was so worth it and everyone that left definitely missed out! Will be back again.

Tuna is a different fish for fish & chips and fish tacos but it's all I'll ever crave from now on. If you're used to beer battered cod, this isn't it, don't expect it. Albacore is firm and meaty, but not dry. Super crunchy panko batter holds up excellently to the perfect amount of fillings, which were perfectly balanced with spiciness and tart (no side lime needed which is rare!) Possibly the best fish tacos I've ever had! Thank you to the person who said "you must stop at Grizzly Tuna for the fish tacos" as the first thing she said when she heard we were in Seaside. Fish & chips are generous with the fish, the 5 piece is worth every penny. Fries and just fries, nothing special, no complaints either. Also, this is a tiny drive thru and your food is made to order. Expect to wait a bit! This isn't Taco Bell!

We were in town on vacation and so excited to see a drive thru fish and chips place but after discovering the only option was tuna we were not so excited. We were hopeful it would be a good tuna steak deep fried but it tasted more like deep fried canned tuna which was our concern going into it. Maybe the other food is better but the tuna fish and chips were not very good. The service wasn't so good either. The lady had an attitude when we said we were going to order one and share to make sure we liked it because we weren't fans of it being tuna fish and chips and if we liked it we would be back. She was acting like we were nuts cause it's the best fish or something but we ended up not going back and went to McDonald's instead.

Delicious fish!! My 19 month old son loved the fish and chips with tartar sauce. The whole family did. I ordered the fish tacos. They were good, but a little spicer than I would have liked. There's no seating, it's grab and go. We ate at the beach, which was a short drive away.

I love it when someone has a limited menu but does everything really well. The tacos are messy but oh so tasty. A bit spicy for me but my husband loved them and want to put them in the rotation when we're in the area. Fish and chips were great very firm tuna and not greasy. We ate at the picnic table there but traffic was a bit loud. Recommend getting to go and taking it somewhere peaceful by the ocean to eat.

Delicately breaded fish and chips. Limited menu. Basically tuna and fries. Enjoyed how lightly breaded and tender fish was. Would pass on fries next time. Super slow service. Line inched along. Expect over 30 min wait even if line is 3-4 cars.

We were disappointed from the start. We have stopped here many times during our camping and the coast outings but the last two visits have been disappointing. The fish and chips used to seem fresh but the last two times it has been dry and tough. Over cooked or low quality? We were the first customers on 1/12/2025 and the person taking our order was not friendly either. Such a disappointment as we drove two hours to visit the coast and specifically to eat here. May try again when we come back but not likely. We have referred a ton of people too. Sad

Four of us (2 adults & 2 kids) stopped by for an early dinner and got 2 large baskets, which come with 5 pieces of fish plus fries. It was the perfect amount for us and it was delicious. Came with lots of tartar sauce & ketchup. Yum! It took less than 10 minutes for it to be ready and we didn't have to get out of our car, which was great because it was raining. Can't wait to come back again.

Great Fish Tacos, The best I've had in the states. I'm a foodie, this is a great to eat. Tuna fish and chip different but they really make it work.

I ordered the 2 fish tacos for $10 they were pretty good. I would say they need a little more flavor but good. The service was great but the drive thru line was a little bit long. I think they should have someone outside doing the orders to speed up the service but overall it was good. The place is small so drive thru is the only option. I would come back here for a quick stop.

Incredible tacos. Everyone needs to try these! The staff is super friendly and the service is quick! We stopped here on our way to Canon Beach during sunset. The best thing ever. Picked more up the next day!

It's possible that tuna fish and chips just aren't my thing. I've never had them before so I'm not sure if this is standard or not. My friends appreciate the gluten free ness of the fish and chips. Hard to come by. There was something off about the ratio of fish to breading to surface area. Edges ended up a little too crispy and the thinness of the fish made it a little dry. My wife got the fish tacos. The flavors were good but the flour tortilla just got mushy and was kind of unpleasant to eat. I feel I might have to try another tuna fish and chips but for now I'll stick to white fish.

This roadside stand is not only a must-do in Seaside, it's a gift from God. Some of the best fish and chips you'll ever have the privilege of trying. If you don't eat here, you are letting yourself and your family down. It comes out REAL hot, but that gives you plenty of time to drive down to the beach and eat it with a stellar view. Perfect Oregon coast experience.

I have been wanting to stop by this place for years, and we finally did yesterday. We have searched for years to find great fish and chips, and we have finally found them! Excellent panko breading, and very fresh fish. If this place was near our home we would be in trouble.

Their tuna is soooo crispy and tender, my first time here i had the fish tacos and i was amazed by how great it was. My favorite thing to get is the fish and chips with extra grizzly sauce. I don't know how they do it but that sauce goes great on everything.

By far BEST FISH TACOS in the area. The fish was cooked to perfection- so crispy and meaty. They do not skimp on toppings either. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

We stopped here a few days ago on our drive down 101, and I am still thinking about their tuna fish tacos! The service was surprisingly fast, and rhetorical food was delicious, of course.

This takeout only place is a real gem. I like the fish and chips just fine but for me the star item is the fish tacos. They are absolutely delicious, fresh tasting and have a little kick to them. Two good sized tacos for $10 seems very reasonable. The staff that poke their heads out the window are always friendly. It takes a few minutes to get your order, which is fine with me because it means I'm getting freshly made food. We stop here every time we are in the area.

Ordered 3 pc fried tuna close to closing. Order came quick. Pulled up to pay for meal. Worker was very nice and thankful for the business. It was a good meal, strong 4. I reserve 5 stars for exceptional tasting meals.

You can't beat sitting next to the river eating lunch. I had the halibut which is very lightly breaded and super fresh. My husband had the biggest shrimp I've ever seen as just a regular item on the menu.

Small Pod near roadside to get some tuna fish and chips. Only limited parking is available. Large portion has 5 breaded fish with generous amount of fries. Tuna is crispy and tasty. Definite stop by if visiting seaside/Astoria area. Place could get busy over summer

Very good tuna fish and chips. Huge portions and well crisped. I personally don't think I'll come back because the tuna is very thick and dry, compared to standard fish and chips. But I do think it's worth a try!

We stopped by Grizzly for drive thru Fish n Chips while visiting the Oregon Coast this week and definitely recommend this highly rated spot. The tuna was flavorful with super crisp breading, fries were great and I also loved their tartar sauce, which had a hint of dill.

Roadside Seafood Shack serving really good fish tacos but very average fish and chips imo. Very nice staff. We will definitely go back for the tacos but stick to Astoria for our favorite fish and chips spot.
