Noodle Fest Is Back: Here’s How You Can Sample Some of SF’s Best Noodles for $20 - Eater SF

"Local Emeryville mom and pop chain Grocery Outlet has made quite the name for itself. Yet the question does remain: how can the wine, sometimes pretty good wine, be sold so cheap? The Chronicle writes Grocery Outlet’s director of wine, beer and spirits Greg Kobayashi uses the same “opportunistic” model the business uses for its food." - Paolo Bicchieri

Great discounted prices on all items throughout the store, friendly staff, organized aisles, big parking lot, and a big variety of items are a few of the things that make this store so good. Outside of the store, you'll find a Wells Fargo atm machine, potted plants, and a few fresh fruits and vegetables. The parking lot might seem full at times but there's more parking on the left side of the store so you'll definitely get a spot when you go. Some items are only there once so when you see an item that you don't see that often, pick it up or it's gone for good. Im always excited when I come here because I cant wait to see what new items they have in stock. Happy hunting for items and deals.

I go there all the time, it's great for finding deals. Don't expect the same product to be available every week as it constantly changes

Beware of Predatory Towing at Grocery Outlet! I parked for Groceries shopping and Drop it to one of My family member across the street returned to find my car towed with a $550 fee. The towing company was rude, treating me terribly, and management did nothing when I spoke with them. It’s clear there’s a shady relationship between the security staff and the towing company, targeting customers to take their money. Be careful if you come for groceries shopping here!

Google
Heads up for handicapped shoppers. The store has changed how far carts can go. You cannot take a cart to the handicapped spaces next to the building. They are locked at the building wall. This is a change from 5 days ago. Reduction in access. You may need your own cart or assistance from the store to load groceries. Good luck.

Some good values, but also lots of unhealthy choices that are inexpensive, as well as overpriced items. You can get some good deals, you just have to keep your eyes open. Certain items are more expensive than TJ's (like eggs) so I suspect that's a loss leader for TJ's and not for G.O. It's not the one-stop-for-everything experience that they want it to be, but it's not horrible.

I friggin love Grocery Outlet... My happy place. Especially when they have bags of soil and compost and plants 🌵 my one stop shop for gardening stuff. Thank you Groc Out. Also, most of the peeps there are friendly. The security guard is also very nice 🙂

Google
It's a good Grocery Outlet. Giant parking lot with on-site security. I enjoy coming to this specific grocery outlet because it has a diverse cross section of people that patronize it's isles. The deals are generous and the inventory can be quirky in the best way possible, I always leave trying a new brand or style of an item that I normally wouldn't because the prices are so good. Produce is **pretty good but expect it to be ripe at the time of purchase and use it soon to avoid spoilage... Over ripeness and lack of shopping carts are the only reason I give this location 4 stars. A good stop on your grocery day or when you're looking for a fresh snack at a price that leaves your pocket full.

Johnny

Google
The good: Great prices and friendly staff. Their variety of food is okay. Their variety of beer and wine is impressive. The lines do move pretty quick The bad: There have been lines 4-5+ people long when I've gone between 5- 7 pm. during the week.

Yelp
This is the largest Grocery Outlet Bargain Market I've ever been in!! Located on Broadways Auto Row in Oakland, they have security inside and outside of this store, which is really good. The one thing about these stores that I like is, you don't have to punch in your telephone number just to get a discount!! I've been tired of doing that for a long time!! But they have a large selection of a great many items here, some are discounted prices, but some kind of aren't, so don't assume everything is cheaper here!!

Neil A.

Yelp
Thank you for carrying ribeye steaks that I can actually afford. I can get a nice steak for $11-$13 and season it and see it and it is amazing. With the prices to go out these days you guys are a great place to get quality products, including many organics and specialty foods. I've been a customer for many years. My only sad part is that you closed your Berkeley store and left us with no store when you moved your corporate headquarters. He did Berkeley dirty lol

Yelp
02/27/2025 6:35PM. We did a fairly big shopping run at this store. We got to checkout #7 and were just rolling our products down the line. Clerk asks do you need bags, we said yes. 2 minutes into her scanning the items, she responds to a personal call from someone on her cell phone. Now she's doing the scanning with 1 hand and the right hand was holding on to her phone yapping away while at work in front of a increasingly long line. In the meantime she spotted 2 items in the lower shelf of our cart, I apologized because I forgot they were there. We were trying to hurriedly bag our stuff that was scanned while she just yapped away in front of everyone in line. with her free hand she began to grab an item scan and toss them into the pile at the end table. My wife said miss it is not good to be talking on the Phone while at work while the line is getting holed up. It will be good if you can free up your hand and help us with some of the bagging to move this along faster. She responded, I am not required to help you bag anything. We still told her it is bad work ethic if you take personal phone calls while still at work in front of the public like this. It gives your work place a bad impression. She then proceeded to produce a defensive attitude saying she didn't charge us for the last 2 bags (which costs 15 cents) and that she still caught the two items at the base of the cart. Moral of the the story, this one employee was disrespectful and showed she didn't care much about her work in front of everyone by taking a personal phone call which checking us out. she took more than 20 minutes to finish scanning our items when while other people were waiting in an increasingly long line. It was disappointing to see this kind of poor work ethic.

Yelp
SLOWEST grocery outlet ive ever been to! great selection but extremely slow! not enough cashiers for sunday

Yelp
They have really good stuff. Know what to avoid (typically the milk) typically the cheese will be ok for another 4 days. Produce is good if you know what to look for. It's important to know your prices though. As some stuff as marked at a discount (such as white claws for $18, when I got white claws the other day at Walmart for $17).

Peggy N.

Yelp
I love this store and try to go here as often as I can. I don't go looking for specific things, because the inventory changes constantly--I just wander through the store and grab a lot of canned or frozen things that I like and will use eventually. The bargains are truly amazing. I see brand items here for many dollars less than at other stores. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the atmosphere here is a little bleak--it's not a particularly attractive store. But I don't care a lot about that, given all the bargains.

Jason H.

Yelp
This grocery outlet is quite big and they have a wide selection of products. I like that anyone can get their low prices without having to sign up for a rewards program or use an app to get the deal. Check the dates on everything because their stuff have shorter expiration dates than what you find at other grocery stores. The stuff that are insanely marked down tend to expire in a few days. Some really good finds I found were on the 3.5oz Good Thins Three Cheese Crackers $0.27, 9.52oz Wildfare neopolitan bruschetta $0.17 and 48oz Carvel Ice cream cake $0.97. That cake had a retail price of over $20. The store was very clean and organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking in their parking lot. I was very impressed with how fast and efficient my cashier was. She was scanning my items with blazing speed. When I checked my receipt, she didn't miss a thing and everything rang up correctly.
google avatar

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
Great prices in general but they don't have every brand name. Be willing to try new things. Produce is good and ok priced.
google avatar

Jo-Ann L.

Yelp
Have been coming here for several years but am disappointed with most of the cashiers who act like we're doing them a favor. All of their items are close to their expiration dates so it's wise to check them carefully if you're not going to eat the food right away. I had to return an item because it was stale and the cashier was incredibly unfriendly and had me fill out paperwork, stating my name, phone number and reason for the return. Really?? For an item under $5.00?

Bay W.

Yelp
As the signs say, Shop here first. Very good food quality though it can be inconsistent. Recommend eating fresh items promptly. Easy parking and friendly, hard-working staff at this location.

Yelp
There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews for this place, but I'll often come here during my lunch break for a quick salad and a drink if I'm looking for a decently healthy and cheap meal. I love the snack and drinks selection. I usually stock up on drinks. It's always fun stopping by because I don't know what unique drinks I'll end up finding. Like many have said, some of their items are close to expiration, which makes sense given the discounted price. I think that's a fair trade off as long as you plan on consuming the food within the next few days. Lines can get a bit long sometimes, especially during the lunch rush.

Yelp
If you aren't hung up on a specific brand name, then Grocery Outlet is a treasure. Good prices and decent produce. The staff was very friendly here. The store was clean and well stocked. I had to take 1 star off for the shopping carts. If you park outside the hard-to-see red line in between parking aisles in the parking lot, the shopping cart will just stop moving. I wasn't aware of that and had several heavy bags to carry to my car.

Alex S.

Yelp
Insane deals. However I did buy some milk to find out that it was expired. Still, the prices of the other stuff made up for it. Also I'm not sure but based on the looks this check out woman was giving me, she either wanted me, or she wanted me to die. No in between. Probably the latter, but I will choose to believe the former.

Yelp
A little ghetto, but this grocery outlet is bigger than the Alameda, and tons of keto finds!! Theres a sprout across the street for my veggies needs.
google avatar

Marcy S.

Yelp
If you're trying to save money this place has a surprise range of food and "other" options. You never really know what will be there but you can find high quality items if you don't mind walking this huge store. Kinda like thrift stores. You can find hidden gems if you are willing to look.

Yelp
Grocery outlet is a little bit like a scavenger hunt. You don't always know if they are gonna have what you want. Today, I went for canned tomatoes. When I asked the cashier where the can tomatoes were, she told me the aisle number, and told me she didn't know if there would be any left. That is the way GO is. There were some cans of tomatoes, and tomato paste--I snagged them. I also saw a can of green enchilada sauce that I got. When I entered the store to begin with, I saw that they had a gallon of distilled water for $1, And it was something that my partner was looking for, So I got it. I also made a quick detour to the candy section and saw that they had some chocolate coconut candy bars-- So I got two because they're small. I also considered purchasing some ice cream, but changed my mind. I would have had to eat a pint while it was melting on the drive home. I only spent about 5 minutes looking for things, and got my booty out of there before making purchases of things I didn't need. I realized when I got home that 2 cans were slightly dented. I can return them or use them soon. Including tax I spent almost $27, and saved $20.76.

Yelp
this is my favorite place to grocery shop in oakand. considering the steep prices at safeway and whole foods, i'm grateful they're still in the neighborhood. a few tips for the first timers: - come in with an open mind. you probably won't find exactly what you're looking for, but you may leave with something even better - check the expiration dates - not everything is cheaper here, but most things are - they are not very return-friendly, even with a receipt - senior discount day is on Tuesday - if you are not a senior, the lines will be longer - they sometimes offer coupons and promos and now have an app for additional savings overall, if you come in with the right mindset, you will have a good time here. the radio playlist is always A+ and the workers are usually pretty friendly if you have a couple of seconds to talk to them. i can't get all of my grocery shopping done here, but this is usually my first stop and i save a good bit on what i do buy. happy shopping!

Yelp
No way, it IIIISSSS an outlet store for groceries! My first visit there. They have some ridiculously cheap groceries that are close to expiration. Do check the dates. I personally think some of the items like cereals are ok even if they are close to expiration. I also got some broccoli and avocados and they were fresh. After all, its a way to reduce food waste

Silva K.

Yelp
I don't recommend supporting them because of the way they treat their employees. The cashiers have no chair. They have to stand their entire shift. For what? Customers don't care.
google avatar

Yelp
29th Street and Broadway Parking lot Discounted groceries. Yes, check the dates. I usually go to a different Grocery Outlet and I'm accustomed to the layout and organization of that location. This isn't like it. I'm looking for vegan stuff like let's say cheese.. here, you have to look through all the cheeses because nondairy and dairy alike-- they're all in the same place, grouped together as opposed to the layout of another store that organizes it separately-- dairy cheeses in one area and vegan cheeses in another area among other vegan products. Now I know.. Oakland does it different. Grocery Outlets are pretty much the same in that they don't always have a standard inventory. What i picked up this trip may not be there the next trip. I'll find familiar things and sometimes i'll find things I didn't know existed. So, for the discounted prices and the varied inventory.. I enjoy going to Grocery Outlets..

Yelp
Yolanda is the manager and she is so inconsiderate of customers inquiry about there items also the African security guards are so rude and aggressive, they will push you and feel that they have the right according to manager Yolanda approval of the way they behave and I felt I was harassed by them.

Kenzie S.

Yelp
Always has the deals and sometimes cute female cashiers. I love goin in the store and just seeing the deals

C V.

Yelp
LongTime here. Good bargains, but you need to look around for them! Wish I lived closer by. Lots of good Asian food choices. Prices are very good. Worth the trip here. Usually no problem parking Check it out !

Yelp
GOBM is a really good place to snatch up fancy vegan food for cheap. I keep getting these V8 protein smoothie drinks for $0.99 each and found some little quinoa cup thing today. This one isn't flooding with cheap stuff like the other ones but it still has its little treasures! Deals are always changing unless it's like produce and lettuce which tend to stay the same. Stock up on weird snacks!
google avatar

Gee K.

Yelp
My last visit here, luckily I checked my receipt. I was charged for a $5 item that was not in my cart!...what the ...! I mentioned it to the cashier and after a good few minutes with everyone waiting for the other to help me, Yolanda stepped in to help me out. Together we pulled each item from my cart and checked it off on my receipt. Yes, the prices here is often $2-3 less than other stores. You may not need it but it's cheap so you end up buying it anyways. Parking is sketchy.

Yelp
Date: 9/19/2018 Time: 3:00 PM 73° Sunny It has been so many years (over 20 years ago) since I stopped in at this store to do some shopping. That is too long to be away from a grocery store that has more than plenty of bargains. Thus, it is indeed appropriate to call it Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. I am at this store with one of my sisters as a preliminary to the soft opening of the Grocery Outlet in Alameda. I did not want to buy too many heavy weight items as we would be walking for about eight blocks to Grand & Webster to board a shuttle bus to the Uptown part of Oakland. As I get older, it is becoming more difficult to carry four bags of grocery (two bags in each hand) and walk for eight blocks. There is no need for me to buy a cart full of groceries when I know I would be at another Grocery Outlet later in the early evening. Browsing around, going from aisle to aisle, I like what I see - shelves that are well stocked with canned goods, breads, snacks, spices, etc. The drawback is the selection of pet food for dogs and cats, limited to what is on hand compared to other supermarkets. Even though I will not be doing return visits to this Grocery Outlet, I will be doing some of my grocery shopping at the one in Alameda, which is closer to my home and more convenient for me.
google avatar

Andre S.

Yelp
Please avoid this store if your looking for fresh produce and/or meats. Upon arrival they have a cheap crate system where you supposed to check your bag into crates, ghettoooo and janky. Mostly all the food is close to expiration date and I'm guessing that's how they're able to make profit. Lunch meat is okay but other meats and produce proceed at your own risk. Other than that the staff is friendly and store is convenient
google avatar

Lorenzo H.

Yelp
Hi I want to warn everyone about this establishments standards I'm writing this review on 9/22/20 and there is mold already in this cheese weeks before the expiration date. I've also had meat smell rotten before the expiration. Please be careful purchasing your food here. Needless to say I won't ever be returning. Gross
google avatar

Kendra F.

Yelp
This is my one stop shop for almost anything. They have a great selection of fruit and vegetables at all times at prices you can't beat. I juice a lot, so seeing cucumbers at 2 for $1 and a 5lb bag of apples for only $3.99 makes my eyes fall out of my head. There's always a different assortment of plant based milks and plant based foods, and last night they had plant based cheese. Plenty of seafood selections to choose from as well as junk food, healthy snacks, breakfast items, etc. You name it, they most likely will have it. I find things in here that I didn't even know I was looking for. Dangerous. I would give them a 5 star rating, but sometimes things go on super sale because of their best by date being so close to the current date. I bought avocado milk last night for $1.49 last night because it expires on 6/24. Other times I have found packaged items on the shelves where the best buy date has recently passed. The good news is they donate these items to a local church nearby, but if you catch it and would like to buy I suggest asking for a discount from the manager. I've done it once. Just pay attention to the date.
google avatar

Cari A.

Yelp
I stopped by grocery outlet for the first time today. They have your typical grocery items but also things like garden items, food containers, etc. It was interesting to see that they carried unseasonal items here. For instance, in the ice cream isle, there are a bunch of Christmas/winter items like candy cane ice cream. They also carried some winter flavored mochi ice cream from Bubbies Hawaii that I picked up. Covid information: -They are currently limiting how many people enter. -they had some cart wipes inside. -No reusable bags are allowed. -the cashier had a spray hand sanitizer after you check out. However, it was in a generic bottle labeled hand sanitizer, so not sure how effective it is. Pros: -there are signs that tell you how much you are saving in comparison to other retailers. Cons: -their cart handles were super greasy. Even the person standing in line in front of me complained about it. Bring gloves if you can!!!
google avatar

Jack D.

Yelp
I would avoid going here when it gets dark (never a dull moment!), but otherwise I love me some Gross Out! Probably want to double check your produce to make sure it's legit, same with the fresh meat. But otherwise the bargains are hard to beat especially during these inflation times. If you follow them on social media they do regular announcements on sales and specials.
google avatar

Leo A.

Yelp
Probably my least favorite grocery outlet. I tend to give good reviews but this particular location gives me so much anxiety. Something about the terrible customer service. I don't recall always being like that - or having my backpack searched so much like I'm stealing?? Unfortunately (but really fortunately) the prices are good so I suck up the bad experience and make it quick. Slowly going less and less. I definitely miss West Sacramento grocery outlet location.
google avatar

Bob W.

Yelp
After writing an email to the corporate office in Emeryville which failed to reply within 2 days as stated on their contact webpage I'm trying this route. I am outraged that this major market still has a DO NOT USE BATHROOM policy under the guise of Covid safety. I have yet to find this in any other market I frequent from Koreana on Telergraph to Tokyo Fish In Berkeley or Berkeley Bowl besides any Trader Joes or Safeway or Target or Food Maxx etc etc. Its disgraceful & as a 74 yo retired RN (& all that that implies) I have sometimes had to use the Grocery Outlet parking lot to urinate. Please change this inhumane policy!

Quik S.

Yelp
I love Grocery Outlet, but I really don't care for their security at this location and always feeling like I'm being followed throughout the store. Their security is unsurprisingly black/African. They seem to only target certain people (typically other black people), but one is always somehow walking past me in an aisle no matter where I am in the store. It's highly offensive and racist and makes me not go to that location as much unless I have to.
google avatar

Thomas C.

Yelp
I have always enjoyed stopping into Grocery Outlet to find way out of the ordinary things. Love the stuff that they get. Anytime I used the nickname of Gross Out, it was with affection. However, this morning--amid omicron madness--both security personnel wore masks as chin guards only. And they were talking loudly to each other and laughing, just spewing forth atomized mucus. After ten minutes in the store, I abandoned my full cart, reported this health risk the manager (who didn't seem to REALLY care) and I left. Enter at your own risk, and definitely do NOT go inside if you haven't been vaccinated and boosted.

Yelp
We lived next door, in the old firehouse, a number of year's ago. We loved Tom's Chocolate fortune cookies. We now live in CT and are moving to VT. We dtll have a Tom's Bakery box which the fortune cookies came. It brings back fond memories. Our dog Rufus, also loved his cookies and loved having his fortune read. Tom's may look like a hole in the wall as some others have inferred and wouldn't step inside. The process for making fortune cookies is unique and done by a baker who sought the American Dream in owning and operating his facility. My hat is off to the owners who lived this dream with our hoping that COVID does not forever shut him down.

Yelp
I'm lucky that I live about a mile distance from Whole Foods, Sprouts, Safeway and Grocery Outlet. When it comes to the random items for cooking and baking, I come here. I wanted to bake fruity pebbles Rice Krispies, so I checked out Safeway which had a sale - 2 boxes for $5 - a steal from $5 a box. But, I figured I'd wait since I wasn't in a rush. I'm so glad I waited because we went to Grocery Outlet to get mayonnaise and I saw that they had a family size Fruity Pebbles cereal bag for $1.99! Then the marshmallows were only $.89! Also if you were curious, the Kraft mayonnaise was just $1! Previously, I've come here for vanilla extract - $1.99 compared to $4.99 at Safeway!

Yelp
An Oakland pothole ate yet another of my tires so I got to spend quality time here while the pros at Frank's Tires across the street swapped out the latest rubber victim for a new one. I had time to burn so I just grabbed a cart and started walking up and down the aisles. I was very impressed with the produce section - many fine looking items (much better than I've seen in other warehouse grocery stores) at prices a fraction of what you pay at Safeway, let alone Whole Paycheck. A huge selection of beverages, frozen foods, snacks and gourmet items. Meats and cheeses comparable to Safeway at lower cost. There's a bit of that Costco "why not" feeling shopping here, many interesting items at low prices. But unlike Costco, you can buy normal sized sub-industrial single packages. Huge parking lot. The place is clean, well stocked and worth putting into a regular shopping rotation. Plus the Taco truck that parks in front is one of Oakland's best.

Yelp
In grocery outlet in Oakland! This Pakistani woman overcharged me and I caught her and the sister bagger verified she overcharged me! Then she makes me wait! To add insult to injury she asks me am I on Welfare or EBT status? Feeling very insulted I let her work every god dam day and wtf does that have on anything? I ask where is the manager? She profusely apologizes over and over and I left before losing it

Yelp
1st of ALL I Like Shopping for the things we need at Grocery Outlet, the Oakland, CA store in particular. I find the Products and the BRANDS, or my 2nd favorite BRAND...and the price is FAR Less than at the 'Big Red S' or at Lucky stores. The store has LOTS of Products not seen at those other stores and it 'picks my interest' to try something different. On Friday August 4, 2023 I left our home without my purse. My Husband handed me a $100 dollar bill to shop. I had $23.00 and some cents of merchandise which the 'checker' rang-up. She handed me my change all at once...but she 'shorted' me $10.00...which I didn't realize until we were ready to drive away. I went back into the store with my receipt, and straight to the Office. Right away, the store Director had an assistant look up the recorded transaction. We saw the video and you could see the cash-register and the money...and the 'checker' took 3 $20.00 bills, and 1 $5.00 bill out and handed it to me. The store Director said: "you're exactly right" and he went to get the $10.00 and handed it to me. I am so Grateful for the efficient, honest way that it was all handled and I can't Thank You enough. Yelp
Grocery Outlet is always on the agenda when it comes to getting a nice, balanced cupboard and fridge without breaking the budget. You can't always get what you want, but you can always get a deal here. You'll be surprised about what you can find here; some of my favorite things I've eaten were here by chance and I'm glad I got it for cheaper than it would've been anywhere else. If you can't find what you need, then you've got a few options within literal walking distance that won't upset your grocery commute too much. This place is open early and open late and I love that (buy some cheesecake here and take it into First Friday and you'll make quite a few friends). Makes it really convenient for me to go grocery shopping whenever whether its right at the start of the day or later in the evenings after work. Come here during the day, you'll find food truck or two at the edge of parking lot. People complain about the lines, but most grocery stores I've been too have always had lines to some degree; if you want no lines, go in on a Sunday early. Most employees are nice at the register and assist with bagging, making your day a lot easier. Can't imagine life without Grocery Outlet and neither can my bank account. Proud Bargainer and consistent customer with 100% approval for this place.

Ji K.

Yelp
I love going to grocery outlet. It's way cheaper than Safeway. Meats have shorter expiration dates and so does milk. People are friendly. Some items are out so when I see things I like, I try to stock them a head. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

Yelp
First time i at this location (Auto Row area of Broadway) and surprisingly, not as bad as i thought it would (yeah i had reserverations!)....similiar products as other locations (Hayward) but this location has the best plant selection..especially 4" succulents, sedum for $3...hey, i'm stocking up for when i convert my lawn to more drought tolerant plants...score! Great selection of discounted items of frozen foods, housewares, milk and cheeses, wines, beauty products (shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc) and packaged meats...large lot but i can see this place getting chaotic on the weekend. Came here around 12:30 on a weekday and the lot was full and had to circle until someone left.

Yelp
I've visited this spot plenty times since SIP. I can say it has made improvement. Organic and veggie options have increased. I always find something new my family will enjoy. The wine sections never disappoints and I even scored a hammock during the summer. Since Sprouts is now located across the street seems they've stepped it up. I am grateful for that.

Yelp
One does not expect to find a grocery store sitting in the middle of car dealerships. But there are apartment buildings a short walk from here. People do live on the outskirts of downtown Oakland, and Grocery Outlet is there for them. It's also only a few blocks from the 980 freeway, just take the 27th Street exit and turn toward the skyscrapers. There is a sizeable parking lot, but it's usually quite full. And there's usually a lot of people in here. Because there are good deals. Those who don't want to pay the prices that Whole Foods charges will come to Grocery Outlet. This Grocery Outlet is as large as a Safeway, and looks like it was a Safeway at one time. Lots of produce on the right, lots of wine on the left, lots of frozen food in the middle. Like other GOs, what you can get depends on what deals the buyers can make at that time. So they may not have everything you need right now. And, unfortunately, both Pak N Save and Food Maxx are miles away. However, I have been able to get what I need during my visits there. So with the low prices and slight inconvenience, this Grocery Outlet gets a good solid 3.

Yelp
Dont buy beef from them I bought 2 ribeyes from them about a week ago and they're spoiled they've been in my freezer since I got them and now that I want to cook them, and as soon as I open the package to thaw them out I can't smell the rancidness. I'm so sad. The last steak I bought didn't smell right either but I tried to eat it and I couldn't finish it. I'm so disappointed. Foods already super expensive but to sell bad meat is a different level

Yelp
Grocery Outlet isn't the mecca it could be. it's sole attraction is it's cheap pricing due to approaching sell by dates or stock overages. i don't spent much time looking for bargains. usually just check snacks, brews, brew: apple cider (1.99) 5% -on the sweet side, otherwise ok eatsL fried green peas(1.29) -doesn't taste as great a fried beans, would pass next time. check outs: -sometimes there are lines, onlu 1 or 2 checkers working. -this grocery outlet has lots of parking, others no.

Yelp
They say shop Grocery Outlet first for staples and the fill in your gaps at the higher priced stores. My staples include Almond Milk, pasta sauce, organic and gluten free "snacks", nuts, prosciutto, vegan cheese, hummus, condiments, extra virgin olive oil. They say Grocery Outlet is like a scavenger hunt. I'm up for the challenge.
