The 14 Best New Hotels of 2022 Are All Sustainable - AFAR

"Gros Morne Inn, whose owners, Ian Stone and Rebecca Brushett, make sure that travelers can experience the area’s rugged coasts, thick forests, and awe-inspiring fjords while treading as lightly as possible on the destination. The 15-room hotel offsets its carbon footprint through operations—repurposed materials, no single-use plastics, renewable energy from hydroelectricity—and donates in kind to a local nonprofit." - Jennifer Flowers

The inn is situated on a hill with a gorgeous view of the fjord. The room was large with a very comfortable bed leather couch and plenty of space for clothing. The meals were excellent and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hot tubs and sauna were an added bonus.

This inn is stunning in every sense. I would give it 6 stars if I could. The view from the restaurant / balcony is jaw-dropping - you can see the mountains and bay from way above. The balcony has firepits and cozy blankets for cool weather (even in August.) The whole inn is tastefully decorated and immaculate. The staff went out of their way to make sure we (two couples) were comfortable. The restaurant was truly world-class with excellent food and attention to detail. Kaye, one of the servers, was above-and-beyond excellent. Crista at the reception desk was wonderful, too. We did not try the outdoor hot tubs or sauna, but wish we had had time. The inn is in the heart of the park, on the south shore of Bonne Bay near the park's Discovery Center. In every respect this is an excellent place to stay.

What a treat! It starts with the complimentary hand knit slippers when you arrive. The food is absolutely spectacular. But the best feature is the outdoor hot tubs. Relaxing there while enjoying the twinkling lights of Woody Point and Norris Point is my new happy place.

I went on a three day solo trip at the end of January and was amazed by the level of service I received. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, going out of their way to ensure that my stay was everything that I had hoped for. The food was absolutely delicious and the menu inventive. The guided tours were fun and adventurous. The guides were passionate and knowledgable about the area's history and had an enthusiasm for passing it on. All in all I would highly recommend staying at the Gros Morne Inn. a 10/10 experience!

If we could have put 6 stars, we would ! Great little attentions (chocolate on our arrival, handmade slippers as a welcome gift...) The staff was amazing, super nice and thoughtful. The location couldn't be better, with Gros Morne right in front ! The hot tub, wow !

Stayed at the Inn for a week at the end of July with 11 friends and it was spectacular. We were using the Inn's sister company, Tour Gros Morne, for a 7 day hiking adventure and combining the two was the best idea, ever. From the welcome pair of slippers presented to you, it was a treat.Rooms were great (coffee! chocolate!); the beds were so comfortable that we all looked for the mattress tag to determine what to buy when we returned home. There is nothing like ending the day with a stay on one of their scenic hot tubs, followed by sitting in front of the fire on the Inn deck. The food was terrific; we could not believe that one small kitchen could manage to wrangle dinner for 12 so well. The best way to experience Gros Morne
