Groth Vineyards & Winery

Went to a tasting and Groth in October and the two of us were treated like welcome guests. We were greeted at the door and what I liked best besides the wines was the lack of corporate branding so many wineries do now. It was a warm and inviting experience.

I love their cabs but really stupid that all tastings are by appointment only. Not only that, they close at 3pm. So basically if you go for lunch at a nice restaurant in the area, which is like 2 hours, you won't make the tasting unless you race over there right after. Honestly I don't mind the reservations only as it gets rid of a lot of the tourists that go to Napa thinking it's cool, and not because they like wine. But 3pm, really?
