The Best Restaurants for Juicy Lucy Burgers in Minneapolis and St. Paul | Eater Twin Cities

"This Mac Groveland neighborhood pub is popular with college kids and families alike. Possibly the best bite on the menu is a spicy take on Minnesota’s classic cheese-stuffed burger: the Cajun Lucy. Ample pepper jack cheese and jalepeños fit inside the patties with surprising ease. For an extra indulgent Lucy experience, try the BCO Lucy, made with bacon, American cheese, and fried onions." - Serena Maria Daniels

Google
I will give the another shot. My Juicy Luci was extremely under cooked.. basically raw hamburger on the inside. Service was solid, nice selection of craft beers in tap and menu items are reasonably priced.

Google
Groveland Tap is a true gem! I had the Juicy Lucy burger, and it was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and just the right amount of gooey cheese. For dessert, I tried their fried ice cream, and it was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The cozy and laid-back atmosphere added to the overall experience. Great find during my trip to Minneapolis!

My husband and I went here for the first time since 2017. Back then it was ok so we came in fully expecting the same thing. We were presently surprised they expanded into the shop next door, and have since revamped their menu. I had the 3 cheese grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. The grilled cheese was the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and salty. The sweet potato fries also came with a delicious dipping sauce. My husband had the Nashville hot sandwich and that was great too! They also have a great selection of beer and good service! We will be back much sooner this time!

Google
Rather disappointed. I went for their happy hour, the boneless chicken wings were pretty dry, my server took forever to get me a glass of water, and I waited 20 minutes just to get take away boxes and my bill. The patio booths are wood with no cushions, and there were lots of families on the patio with loud, screaming, and crying kids. I won't go back.

Google
Great server named Hannah- we are the pierogi appetizers and the boneless buffalo wings with it creole dry rub. A really great recommendation by our server. Definitely will be back. Also, we sat at new outdoor patio, which is wonderful!

Google
Hannah, or server was incredible!! She popped in every so often and caught everyone's needs. Food was great and huge portions. Atmosphere is dark. A bit difficult to see as a senior but generally nice and fun. We certainly will be back.

Google
Alyssa was a fabulous server. She was super friendly and easy to chat with, Alyssa was so kind to split our individual food orders for sharing. Outdoor eating was nice on the enclosed heated patio out back. My friend & I had a relaxing fun time catching up and not being rushed.

Google
Food was delicious and our server Hannah was so wonderful and friendly. The outside patio was so pretty for summertime. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
R.I.P. Chicken Tender Melt! Groveland Tab recently revamped their menu, and we were so sad to see the Chicken Tender Melt gone! We were still getting over the Sweet Potato Tots not being on the menu. They also changed the Monday burger special to a lunch special only which is a bit of a bummer. As much as we'll miss our beloved melt, I have to admit the new additions seemed good. They've introduced more bowl-style dishes, which I can't wait to come back and try. I will say it doesn't give off the "dive bar" type of vibe anymore and seems like they're trying to fit into a different box, but it doesn't bother me enough to not come back. This time, we ordered the Patty Melt, All Tapped Up Burger, and Onion Rings. Both burgers were delicious, though the All Tapped Up Burger was a bit messy. As for the onion rings, we weren't huge fans--they were very lightly battered (almost too light) and fell apart easily. The service, as always, was fantastic. Even with the menu change, we still will always love the Tap!

Yelp
Came on a Friday night because it wasn't too busy and got a veggie burger! This was my first time trying a non meat burger and it wasn't bad! I really like their appetizers, especially the buffalo cauliflower wings. If you're looking for some decent bar food and a chill vibe, check this place out!

Yelp
I have been a fan of the blue plate restaurants around town, and I was excited to check another one off my list. This location is a different vibe from their other businesses - more relaxed and small town bar and grill feel. I found the inside to be very eclectic, with old pull tabs on the wall and arcade games located throughout. The service was great, as always with blue plate locations. The food was slightly less sophisticated as compared to my other blue plate favorites, like Longfellow and Highland. The turkey burger was still fantastic, as always. Wonderful location in Groveland neighborhood - street parking is best.

Yelp
Please ignore my initial review. Everything has changed on the menu and I am sad to say that it is not for the better. Every food item that I mentioned is no longer available. Why they changed a menu so drastically is beyond me. This is a bar! People want a menu that represents bar food. Do it well (which they always have) and the patrons will be happy. Sorry, trying to make the menu items seem more upscale is not working. Poor execution, and again, this change was not needed. The surrounding neighborhood has always supported Groveland Tap and I'm afraid that may not be the case in the future. Please do not do this to the other Blue Plate restaurants!

Yelp
Legit neighborhood pub. Great cheese curds, great queso fundido! Strong burgers, just nothing wrong with this joint. Classic vibe with beer tab on all walls. Service was prompt and timely.

Yelp
We had a pretty okay time eating here this week! Service was a bit stunted throughout with us getting service from multiple staff. We also missed any sort of check-in questions like how was the drinks or meal which is always a slight staple to good customer service in my opinion. We had a four top table and were able to get seated in their main seating area which has several tables and booths. This is a small to medium restaurant so I would recommend calling ahead if you have a big group. There is also bar seating available although this is a beer and wine only bar. They advertised having a shoyu honey mustard dressing and a BBQ ranch as possible sauce options, my table ordered both and we only got one. When we asked the server for the other sauce she explained that although listed as two different options on the menu they were actually the same dipping sauce. It was confusing for her and for us at the table and as a waitress I think she should've clarified immediately when the two sauces were ordered or the menu should be revised to stop this misunderstanding from happening again. Additionally, when we asked questions about the menu the server didn't know and had to check with the kitchen so maybe an overall food knowledge refresher could be helpful for the staff. We also tried their boneless wings which were cooked well and plated nicely but had a surplus of dry rub on them that was slightly overwhelming. It was to the point that extra dry rub was falling off the wings onto the table as my partner ate them, definitely a little messy. We ordered the onion rings appetizer and for $9+ it was a little bit disappointing of a portion size and they came out cold. There was plenty of beer options but the food and beer ran slightly pricey for the dive bar level of service and food quality we felt they were at. This is a place I'd recommend more for families or a quick drink but I don't know if we'll revisit the menu. Ambience was very cute though, seemed like a nice local place. Tables were clean and they provided notepads at the table for kids to have something to do while waiting. Cute place, would love to see some small improvements!

Yelp
Came here every time i visited and now that i live here i often forget how fun this place is. Great beer list on tap and sodas for the non beer drinkers this old school bar has amazing jucy lucy's with crinkle cut fries and some killer cheese curds and fried pickles. They have remodeled and added parking its a great lunch or dinner when in St Paul!

Yelp
Food was good, but menu didn't have a lot of variety, Good fit for the neighborhood - comfortable and friendly spot to hand out with friends and get a drink. Decor and furnishings are a little dated, but service is attentive. Ordered a NA wine, a milkshake, nachos, a burger, and the daily special. Wine frizzante was served chilled in a wine glass. The black cherry milkshake was sweet and creamy but was cherry syrup mixed in soft serve vs cherry ice cream. The chicken nachos were very good - nachos were crisp, chicken was tender and flavorful, pico and sour cream were cold. The daily special that day was pot roast special was a large portion of pot roast served with baby carrots, a biscuit, and mashed potatoes with a well of gravy. The beef was fork-tender and had a tasty rich flavor. The Ellsworth Lucy burger was well-cooked, well-seasoned, and flavored well. We had sweet potato tots on the side which came with a chipotle sauce. The tots had great texture - soft inside with crisp exterior, and the chipotle sauce was creamy with a nice kick.

Yelp
On the hunt for an authentic Juicy Lucy led us to Groveland Tap on a hot summer day in the Twin Cities. The ambiance is that of a pretty standard sports bar anywhere in America, but maybe on the slightly nicer side - this is no dive. It's clean and welcoming inside, and on a hot day it was very chilly indoors so since their patio was shaded we took our meal out back, which was actually lovely. Three of us ordered burgers and I got the poutine. Something I love about travelling further north in the Midwest is you're treated to more cheese curds and the influence of Canadian fare, such as poutine. Why this hasn't caught on as much as far south as KC is strange to me, I mean, who doesn't love french fries, cheese curds, and gravy? Seems like a no brainer. At any rate, aside from our entrees we all decided to share an appetizer of fried cheese curds, and sample some local brews. The highlight of this meal to me were the cheese curds and the local blueberry beer I sampled. All of the other food was good, but not remarkable, in my opinion. The cheese curds though, those were damn good. Lightly battered and fried they were light and chewy, just as they should be. I feel like especially when you don't live up north it's much easier to find sub par cheese curds, and I don't know if this is just the quality to expect in MN, but they were insanely good. If I lived here I don't know if this place would be in my usual rotation for dinner or lunch, but it would certainly be a good contender for a happy hour as I think the stars here are really the appetizers and selection of local beers.

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for a great lunch spot, and Groveland Tap definitely makes the list. They have a considerable selection of beer and fabulous burgers/sandwiches. My party ordered the patty melt, stroganoff burger, and the daily lunch cheeseburger special. Clean plates all around. You can't go wrong here if you are looking for a local brew and burger.

Yelp
Great burgers and juicy Lucy's. Excellent beer selection. Friendly wait staff and bartenders. A staple of Mac groveland.

Yelp
I can't really find anything bad to say about this spot. I had run the Fargo Marathon earlier in the day and this was the location for my tradition post-marathon-burger. It did not miss! I sat at the bar, which was kind of dead, but it was 6pm. I had a couple of beers (the selection was fine) and the BCO Lucy. What's a Lucy, you ask? It's basically a burger with cheese cooked in the center. When it arrived, the bartender warned me about how hot the cheese would be and told me to use the toothpick to skewer the inside and let the molten lava (cheese) cool for a minute. I ate the sweet-potato tots while waiting (they were FABULOUS!), then went in for the burger. It was very good and the inner-cheese was still quite hot. Atmosphere was good, service was good, food was excellent, and price was appropriate. Bravo, Groveland Tap!

Yelp
Groveland Tap has become a STAPLE of mine after turning 21! It has become me and my roommates favorite places to go for Happy Hour and has an amazing variety of beer and ciders. The restaurant itself is a little dated the further you go back but I love sitting in the front to get natural light and the patio is my FAVORITE spot to set. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and helpful when it comes to suggestions on the food and drinks and as a novice beer drinker, it was super helpful to have people give me their recommendations AS WELL AS what sells the most. The meals are solid for a tap but not anything super special, however their appetizers are unreal. Their cheese curds are the perfect amount of greasy-ness and their Buffalo Chicken Dip is one I think about at least weekly. The chocolate peanut butter stout tastes EXACTLY like a peanut butter cup and has a deep flavor but isn't overly strong. I also like the Victory Sour Monkey if you're in the mood for more of a fruity beer and tastes similar to a cider. Overall if you're looking for a fun happy hour for spring, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Groveland!

Yelp
This afternoon I had the pleasure of sitting on the patio at a local favorite, Groveland Tap. The ambiance outside was very cute, with string lights and flowers scattered around the patio. It is enclosed so it felt private to just the restaurant. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful with questions. We tried a couple different drinks, all of which were refreshing and I ordered the western burger with sweet potato tots. The sweet potato tots are on the appetizer menu, and u would definitely come back to get the appetizer size! The western burger was cooked well and was very enjoyable with the crispy onions on top. I do recommend the sweet potato tots as they were a fan favorite among the group!

Yelp
We came here for dinner before a Timberwolves. This place wasn't as packed and was able to get a table. By the time we were done with our dinner, the place was pretty full. We started off with some cheese curds. These were perfectly fried but nothing special. My wife ordered their BCO Lucy and I ordered their Cajun Lucy. Both were ok, but I didn't care for the cheese on top of the patty. While I love cheese, having double cheese might be a pit much. It takes away the flavor away from the beef on the first bite. In this case the Cajun spice that I was looking for. The cheese wasn't dripping out of these either. While the burger was still good and service was great, not sure if I'd return for a juicy. They do have an extensive beer selection, so I would probably come back for some beers and maybe a juicy.

Yelp
Stopped by Groveland Tap with my husband for a date night. They had many private booths which was nice and quiet. Parking was tough because there was only a small parking lot next to the building. We parked on the street a block over which was fine. Very nice neighborhood. I've been trying Buffalo cauliflower everywhere and this was my 2nd favorite. They only serve wine and beer but had an expansive list of both. Our drinks were fine. I chose a wine that was $15 per glass. Little spendy but worth it. I had a Cajun Juicy Lucy and my husband had the Turkey burger. His meal won...by far!! Surprisingly even with jalapeños and pepper Jack cheese, my burger didn't have very much flavor. His turkey burger had curry seasoning and peanuts. It was delicious. He said it was the best turkey burger he's ever had. I agree. Our server was super attentive so service was impressive. I would like to try different menu items next time- think the hubby will stick with the turkey burger. Overall great date night spot.

Yelp
I've been going to bars at this location since it was a 3.2 bar called The King and I. flash forward a decade or two and the Blueplate Group has turned it into a neighborhood institution. The food and the beer are a step above your average bar, but the vegetarian options are limited and vegan almost non existent. Earlier in their run, they had more creative vegetarian options but those have fallen away. The pierogies are tasty and meat free, but I wish they would be more creative like the did. How hard would it be to offer black bean or mushroom tacos as an option? I will go back and I will continue to mutter my cry for different food options.

Yelp
Great local watering hole that recently (2023) finished renovations and expanding their footprint. One of the few neighborhood restaurants with a parking lot and now a newly added patio. The food is standard Americana but they do it well. A favorite of mine is their western burger with sassy BNQ sauce and thick bacon. They've also updated their side offerings with Cajun fries which are excellent. Plenty of TVs and a larger bar area so there's always a view of the game but there's enough booths and nooks where the game doesn't need to take priority. You can focus on the fam, date or significant other.

Yelp
The Groveland Tap is a family favorite. I can't think of another restaurant where we go just for the apps as a family. They are delicious and it is such a chill environment to enjoy them in. When do fried pickles, cheese curds, and poutine, coupled with the Best Brown Ale in the Cities, not make you feel better about life? (I am aware Brown Ale is not considered a "sexy" beer, but Freehouse might change your mind.) Our waitress was friendly and fast and answered all our questions about their renovation satisfactorily. Having a rough day? Your answer is Groveland Tap. Feeling good about life? Head to Groveland Tap with some friends. You are just going to leave happier for the experience. It proves true every time.

Yelp
Good bar food What stood out to me was the pretzel. It was sooo good and fulfilled my long awaited craving for a homemade pretzel with cheese sauce and you get 2! The cheesecurds were freshly made. I'm not a cheesecurd person unless they're made to order. They had a "light crispy batter" so you really tasted the salty cheese versus a heavy batter which over powers the cheese. Their homemade ranch was very good too! I'm a ranch snob. The fish fillets were VERY meaty and again I liked their batter. They had a variety of ice cream shakes. It was very busy when we got there but the service was excellent! There's a small parking lot but be prepared to park on the street depending on when you visit.
google avatar

Kathleen K.

Yelp
Solid burger. Great bevs. Lovely server. Newly remodeled. Always busy, so be sure to get a reservation in the dinner hour. The area by the arcade games gets LOUD with shrieking kids so beware of noise level with tots. Amazing experience, so glad to have them back!

Yelp
Good food, good service nice atmosphere overall. Definitely worth a stop in. Also of note it's a family friendly place and the claw machine was getting some action while I was there.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and service- looking forward to this becoming my local! I really liked the pressed copper bar top. The booths are comfy and private. Good Perogis, fried cheese curds, and banana milkshakes.
google avatar

Yelp
After a big remodel, I am so happy to announce Groveland Tap is back and ready for action! The remodel allows for more seating and a completely redone bar to allow guests to have separation from dining / the bar. All former games have been moved to the entry way maximizing space. The food is exactly as it was - you cannot go wrong with any burger and crinkle fries. I do not know any other Saint Paul Resturant that serves crinkle fries so every time I visit, this is a must. I cannot wait to come back. Excellent!

Kelly F.

Yelp
Dining in is always great. Unfortunately the last two delivery orders were disappointing. In one situation, it may have been the delivery partner that made my food show up ice cold, but it was highly unlikely. In the second situation, it was 100% the fault whoever cooked and packed my food. A taco burger, grilled only on one side (the other was like an uncooked flour tortilla) that was then smothered with Parmesan garlic french fries on top of the burger. It was terrible.
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
Unrecognizable after their remodel - love the patio and parking at Groveland tap. They have a great beer menu (really enjoyed the strong kolsch). Tried their Juicy Lucy - was excellent, first bite had the molten cheese splatter everywhere. Server was friendly, but service was a little slow on an evening with not many patrons. Thoroughly enjoyed the vibe - wish they stayed open later.

Yelp
Ouch...ouch...ouch ouch ouch. Covid was not kind to anybody, but it seemed to leave a lasting mark on some restaurants that will never go away. This, I'm sad to say, is one of them. I went back here and the lunch special had gone away. The prices had also doubled. I can understand why this happened, but this place was always just a sneeze away from disaster-- like a climber on El Capitan without ropes or anything. Jacking up the prices and pulling the lunch special might be the itchy nose that decides the fate of the this old-time landmark. We'll see.....
google avatar

Yelp
We have the MSP Pub Pass and Groveland Tap was in it. The beer we got (blueberry) was pretty good!! The place is different then the other breweries we have been to as it's more of a pub/diner. It is pretty small so I'm sure it gets busy! Nice outdoor area in the front with picnic tables. The food looked good and would consider getting food from here if ever in the area again. If you're looking for a simple no fuss bar with pub food you would love this place!!

Carl Timothy Shea O.

Yelp
The wings have taken a turn for the worst. WOOOOFFFFF. Do not buy those. You can buy chicken and make your own for 1/3 of the price. Just dump some franks redhot on it and you have Groveland Tap's wings. They used to have some of the best wings in town... But who cares? Quality in this town is in the dumps and I'm maybe the last person to care. Again, do not order those ridiculous wings. Overpriced, undercooked, rubbery, and bad sauce. BOOO.
google avatar

Al K.

Yelp
In terms of deliciousness, it is rivaled only by the meals prepared by the private chefs of Americas top 1%. What does that even mean, do you ask? Don't worry little crawkids, Crawdaddy's not gonna leave you hanging. The details that went into this meal were outstanding. First off, we ordered wings and the Bavarian pretzels which was too much food for two people. That being said, the wings came with a side of blue cheese which was bananas after I realized they didn't ask if we wanted ranch or blue cheese. I hate ranch with my wings. Blue cheese is a far superior dipping sauce for wings than ranch. Why don't I just go dip my wings in the street gutters if I'm going to have ranch? Ok, back to the point. I really appreciated that the wings came with blue cheese. Also the pretzels had both mustard and cheese. Both of which were excellent. Now for the meat of this review, the stroganoff burger. Wow. How have I never had this burger earlier in my life? This was the burger to end all burgers. I will never be able to look at another burger after this one. It had so much flavor and was a perfect size. Sometimes I need a mammoth burger, however, this burger had mammoth flavor and it was just what the doctor ordered. Would highly recommend it. My wife got a juicy Lucy which was also delicious. I'm not a big fry guy but her Parmesan garlic fries were good. Onion rings were fine. Last thing I want to mention is the menu. I loved that it wasn't overwhelmingly big or a million pages. Just a front and back and I think that's when you know a restaurant is good. It's when they do a few things great and they know it. Do yourself a favor and come here.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
I bought some pub passes and Groveland Tap was the first stop on our tour. We made reservations and were seated right on time. The pub passes get you one free beer under $7 which was pretty much all of their tap beers. I had a Summit Oatmeal Stout. We started with some cheese curds for an appetizer. I opted for a burger with tomato, lettuce, and fried onions. It comes in a basket with crinkly fries. Burger was hot, juicy, cooked perfectly. Fries were crunchy and salty. So good. Lots of running needed to wear off those calories but it was worth it. Inside we were socially distanced and all were masked. There were many blue picnic tables outside for a sunny, warm day.
google avatar

Mike W.

Yelp
Went for a late lunch on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy and packed. We had to seat ourselves and waited a bit before they noticed us, but that was the only real downside to the experience. We got a couple orders of their curry bacon deviled eggs and onion rings which were really good. And I'm not sure if it's just seasonal, but I liked how they primarily had stouts available on tap and the mushroom stout burger they had as the weekend special was a delicious mess!

Paul C.

Yelp
The remodel was a shoehorn bar makeover. Service okay. I love the Saturday afternoon bartender guy. Others? Nah.... You. Need. A. TV. Makeover. Your televisions are more viewable from the street than they are from the new bar. Put up 3 new televisions inside the bartenders space. Most of that space is shelves with nothing in it. Easy cheap fix.

Yelp
This place has been a saving grace during COVID. They've converted half their parking lot into outdoor seating with picnic tables. After months of getting carryout burgers with fries that don't survive the trip home, it's heaven to get a juicy burger and plate of fries that you can dig into on the spot while they're still hot and crispy! Their burgers are the best. Service is prompt, cheerful, and friendly, and they serve beer and wine. I've brought my 90 year old MIL here and she swoons as she crunches into her meal and then washes it down with a glass of prosecco. I'm gonna bundle up and do it again before the snow flies.

S H.

Yelp
Great place for lunch. Good beers and the food was all good. Nice place to try a juicy Lucy.

Kenneth T.

Yelp
This was a fantastic place when it was Pacific Palms, and King & I. When the Highland grill couple took over, the place went downhill. Craig, the manager steals from the till. The children are allowed to wander around unsupervised, and the Jucy Lucy has NO cheese. Just speaking from Experience. Lived a block away for 50 years. Supported this place from the Mid 70's to the Mid 80's. LOL. Charlie Walters would go there. I would never even go there again.

Andrea C.

Yelp
I don't have pics.. not worthy. Weekend chicken special was horrible. Batter was off the tiny tasteless chicken. Fries? Cold. And the Cole slaw was in a specimen size cup. Juicy Lucy. Flavorless, cheese was non existent and sad by itself on a giant plate. Side salad? Horribly old field greens..was inedible. Got a shake..8.00 for a small out of a machine lazy treat. Wtf happened to this place. Never will be back. Overpriced.. meh service and crap food.

Yelp
Impromptu midweek trip to this delicious St Paul staple! Whether you're in the mood for a great burger, killer appetizer, or an amazing brew, choosing from an extensive line of tap beer--ya can't go wrong. They're open up again for dine-in and are following very stringent safety protocols which I appreciate. They do still offer curbside pick-up or no contact delivery as well. Here's what we ordered. Poutine ~ fresh ellsworth curds, fries, braised beef, gravy. **I love that they have crinkle cut fries because it holds on the toppings well. This is rich, cheesy, meaty, saucy just the way it should be!** Bavarian Pretzels ~ super soft, chewy pretzels w/ spicy mustard and beer cheese. **ya can't beat a simple classic** BLT ~ guacamole, fried egg, mayo, ciabatta. **this is a killer sandwich and the guac and fried egg really throw it over the top** Look no further if you're Livin for neighborhood eats!

Yelp
Yummy Food, Fast Service. You won't be disappointed. Staff is friendly and inviting. Highly recommended

Yelp
I loved the vibe of the tap before they renovated. Now it feels very stale and caters to college students with half a bright and modern space and half being the traditional dark wooden booths. The food is okay and they've got a good selection of beer.

Yelp
This place was such a disappointment. I'm from the south and was super excited for cheese curds! While I did get the order curbside, I didn't travel far enough away for the drive to degrade the quality of the food that drastically. The cheese curds were soggy and flavorless. The stroganoff burger was unseasoned and bland. The chicken tenders were dry, had hardly any meat, tasted like day old frying oil, and were essentially inedible. The onion rings were so greasy, I could ring the grease out of them. I would never eat here again. Unfortunately, the Tums I had to eat after this food was an upgrade compared to this meal.

Yelp
If you're looking for greasy, delicious, yet uniquely Minnesota bar food, Groveland is your place. The cheese curds were the best I've had, with the perfect amount of breading that didn't overshadow the cheese at all. And those sweet potato tots - wow, so good! Sadly, tots are not a thing in Michigan so it looks like I'll be coming back to curb the sweet potato tot craving that will now be a thing! I split the Juicy Lucy with my friend, which was a nice little twist on a regular cheeseburger but certainly not the best burger I've had. I did appreciate that they brought out two plates with fries, knowing we were splitting the burger. The service was great and the atmosphere was what you would expect for a bar type restaurant. I enjoyed the different taps they use as decor on the walls. The beer selection was a bit of a let down, and I enjoy seeing a brief description of the drinks, which would have been helpful. Overall, great experience! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Saint Paul!

Yelp
Went for a last minute dinner the other night. Parking was very limited, but we found a spot on the street a few blocks away. We were able to get seated right away. The beer selection was amazing and they had a beyond patty to substitute for any of their burgers (my favorite thing to see as a vegetarian)! Beer was great, food was awesome, and the service was fast and friendly! The price point was on the high end, but definitely worth it!

Yelp
We were first time diners after recommendation from my Daughter who lives in the neighborhood. First impression was very positive. If you want personalized professional service, ask for Jessica. I think she only works weekends. The food was great, service was great and their patio was fabulous being shaded from the warm Minnesota sun. Jessica will ask you your name and remember it through out the dinner service. Every time she came to check on us, she called us by name. Only a pro can does that. I can't say enough. We had a Wild Rice Burger and a Cajun Juicy Lucy. Both memorable meals for my wife and I. We will be going back to try one of the many more Burgers on their menu. A Saint Paul Gem.

Yelp
To go order and we did a pickup. Nice website, but we did have to call to place our order and pay. We called when we arrived and our order was delivered promptly and happily! Nice! Order delivered on time, 100% accuracy, and packaged with care. We totally enjoyed our juicy and fries that included plenty of condiments, napkins and utensils. Thank you!

Yelp
Stopped by today for an appetizer and a coke. Place was 3/4ths empty. Still waited over 5 minutes before waiter appeared. Ordered onion rings and 2 cokes- 12oz cup (no refills as the waiter never asked us if we wanted any). Food ok. Cokes ok. The bill came- $19.75 gulp! Michelin Prices, Firestone Quality. $3.95 - ea. for cokes $9.75 - for 8-10 onion rings $0.71 - for "employee wellness charge" ??? No explanation as to why I was charged this. I've been coming here since it was "BB Dixons." Worst service and experience in 30+ years. And apparently I'm in charge of paying for the new addition? Needless to say I won't be back. Oh, and I'm the guy that tells every person I run into how cruddy a place is. Have a nice day!

Yelp
Newly renovated! Vibe destroyed! This used to be a very cool vibey dive bar type place. They bought the building next door and removed any semblance of ambiance. Now, you have various arcade (!) games that have attracted parents of screaming whining out of control kids. Yes! Bring your brats, turn them loose and just sit at your table while the urchins tear the bar down! Fun! Food has been reduced to a couple burgers and a few other things. Well congrats owners, you've destroyed your business.

Yelp
Welp. Newly remodeled and loud. So loud. At least the bar area. Their renovation consultant apparently didn't advise acoustical considerations. Servers screaming at one another across the bar. One beer and I quickly escaped.

Yelp
These bacon curry deviled eggs were my absolute favorite! At first, I thought it was kinda an odd appetizer to offer, but don't judge because they were soooo good! I definitely recommend them if you like curry flavored things. My husband loved his stout mushroom burger on special, but mine was alright. I felt for being a juicy lucy it didn't have a whole lot of cheese melted inside compared to some other places. Not a fan of places when you seat yourself. When we first sat down we waited awkwardly for quite some time. Our waitress took her sweet time, and took awhile to get to our table for refills on top of that. The food was pretty good, but nothing too fancy. A good burger and some tasty apps for sure. It's cool how they have all the different taps hanging on the walls.
