Grover Cleveland Playground

This could be such a great park if it was taken care of better. Definitely needs a renovation asap. That aside, the trees give great shade for the kids playing and there is plenty of room for activities like soccer, basketball, voleyball etc.

Playground is ok, put on school days the Grover Cleveland high School teenagers make the environment bad, smoking weed. And even more nefarious activities in the bathroom by the teenagers on school days. We really need more cops on patrol on weekdays to protect the young kids from the teenagers.

There’s always glass in the grass area which I can’t help but notice. That said it’s always lively here. Sports, water features, lots of kids, and regular dog groups.

Nice playground with a great view over parts of Manhattan. I like the combination of playground, dog park and cemetery. It makes it feel like a place for everyone. The layout is not nice for relaxing on the grass. It is too small and too close to a big street.

Grew up playing basketball in this park. It has shade on the grass and tables and benches. If you run or jog, there are mile markers on the ground. It does become a dog park after dark which is unfortunate but not really a big deal unless you have a fear of dogs. The basketball courts are not in the best condition and in dire need of repairs.

Good park, clean. Take permits seriously

Kept clean, sometimes the swings are vandalized but they get fixed quickly. I feel safe letting my child play here!

Really nice playground. Specially in the summer because that park has a nice water fountain.

Beautiful park! But with that being said the maintenance of the park is horrible. There is SO MUCH BROKEN GLASS!!! on top of that there is always food in the park either left by park goers as trash or PEOPLE FEEDING THE RATS! Birds can only consume so much of the bread you throw. I come here daily and honestly the workers are not really doing much. Couple of pieces of trash in a can and they are done... We love the 9-9 off leash time! IF YOUR DOG ISNT FRIEND DONT COME TO THE PARK. the rules are off leash after 9pm and if your dog can't handle it then don't ruin other people's time. I really like this park but there are so many people who abuse it and not a lot of effort to stop it.

I try to visit this park almost every day since I am not working. It is shady and has a walking/jogging path that goes all the way around it equalling about 1/4 mile. You will see many families, people exercising, and doing yoga. There are two playgrounds and many other game areas as well as bathrooms. I walk here to use the walking and jogging path, as well as sit down afterwards and admire the trees and the view West of midtown. There are also benches specifically for doing sit-ups and pull-ups. Unlike many of the parks in the city, you will not see homeless people here or drug addicts. There is quite a bit of litter on the ground which is sad, since there are so many garbage cans in the vicinity. However, I am so happy to have found this park near my residence.

I'm delighted to have discovered this park. It appears small on a map, and it is, but feels wide open and spacious once you're walking in it. There are trees, slopes, benches and all the other usuals in adequate abundance. I was worried that since it is near a high school it would become crowded and loud, but not so. The teenagers are scarce and mostly very polite. It is a happy place, where people bring their kids and dogs. For us young at heart, the swings are often available :) Pro-tip: for a tranquil, quiet stroll visit the ancillary cemetery where you can walk completely unhealed.

Great place to bring your dog early in the morning. Nice view of Manhattan. Lots of fun options for kids. Gets very crowded on weekends

Just found this park, and it's just three blocks from where I'm living now! Went here this morning for the first time. Of course the reason I love this new park is that is has a full fitness setup. Parallel bars, various height pullup bars, situp benches. Woohoo!

The park is nice but needs to be better maintained. The sprinkler section is nice and allows you to get just as much or as little as you chose. There is a toddler village section that would be nicer if it wasn't full of graffiti.

The best park in Ridgewood. This isn't saying a ton, but it is sizeable for the area and offers sweeping views of the Newtown Creek valley and Manhattan skyline. Mature trees, playground, basketball and handball courts, a soccer field, chess tables, benches, and often food vendors.

Just moved to Ridgewood (grew up in Middle Village)... We went to this park last week and had a great morning! My kids are ages 4 and 2. They had a great time on the playground! The park seemed nice and quiet, but it was spring break and the high school was closed. The real test will be next week when school is in session!!

Very nice small park in Ridgewood, The city staff is working hard to remove the garbage and repair the damage that careless patrons leave behind. Besides the soccer fields, handball courts it has a well equipped exercise area and a very complete playground for the kids.

This is a great park. They have a fitness area, with planks for abs, a small climbing wall, and pull-up bars. They also have basketball courts, a soccer field, a trail for jogging, and a playground for kids. My friends and I go jogging here and then stretch and work out and it's great that we are able to come here for free, with a gorgeous view of the city line to boot. The only downside is that they close at 9 PM, and we usually like jogging at night so we're not as sweaty and gross. If they would just close at 10 or 11 PM, this park would easily get 5 stars.
