I've stayed at grubens several times and never had a problem until July 17th of this year. Up until now I have always recommended them. I drive 8.5hrs to discover that the cabin I booked with a $1,000 deposit was already booked. This has now became inconvenient. They said sorry and tried to find a different spot for me but it was double the price and..... They are unwilling to return my deposit. I've called several times and "Dan" says no refunds and claims loss of revenue, no refunds. Since then, I have found out that this has happened to other people this year. I can not recommend this business. This is simple I want a refund for their overbooking error.
