"The tiny deli focuses on classic, huge sandwiches both hot and cold like the buffalo chicken salad sandwich or the Carly’s Hot Mess with melty cheese mixture atop turkey, bacon, and vegetables on jalapeno bread." - Sommer Brugal

Amazing. The prices are a little high at first glance, but totally worth it. Sandwiches are huge. First time I tried it I thought there was no way I'd eat the whole thing, but I couldn't stop. Cool atmosphere with good music playing. Plenty of parking in back. My favorite sammich spot in town. Edit-I think they use magic here. -2021 Update- Don't listen to the 1 and 2 star reviews, those people must just be miserable or angry from covid. This place is still outstanding. It's window service now with outside seating and all employees were wearing masks. I tried the red pepper gouda soup today and it was delicious like everything else I've had here. If you want a sandwich real fast then go to Subway or something. If you want a yummy, fresh sandwich with great service then this is your place.

G's deli is a Austin treasure. I have been going for the past year and they never disappoint. Bread is always fresh, their meat is always tender and moist and the atmosphere is awesome. I recommend G's to family and friends when they come to Austin

Got the Reuben. Sandwich tasted fine. Description says “massive amounts” of pastrami... take a look at the picture and tell me if you think that’s a massive amount haha. Laughable. For $21 after tax, I expected wayyyyyyyy more. Would not recommend unfortunately.

Staff is always very helpful and friendly. I'm a meat lover and always get the same sandwich. Prices are up there considering they don't have a combo option so, sandwich+chips+drink but they are GOOD.

Super tasty sandwiches and a huge selection. Thankfully the staff was helpful with a recommendation. Sandwich was amazing! We will for sure be back.

Walked to this spot on a whim and was not disappointed. Had the special (Christopher Walken) and the Poblano soup. That poblano soup was creamy with just the right amount of spice and a perfect roasted poblano flavor. The sandwich had fresh veggies with these awesome house made pickles dressed with a sriracha mustard and a blue agave aioli with some sliced turkey and ham with melted cheese all over. Everything was definitely fresh and delicious. The vibe is South Austin all the way & the staff and the patrons were all very friendly. I'll definitely be back regularly to this place.

Best sandwich place on the south side of town. The number of choices is staggering and the quality (and size) leaves you greatly satisfied. The staff too is always warm and knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. The only drawbacks would be limited seating (it can get crowded at lunch) and difficulty parking most days. As far as the food goes though, you'd be hard pressed to find a place with better ingredients and service. I tend more toward the cold sandwiches, can't go wrong with the roast beef with spicy pickles/mustard on marble rye.

Hands-down the most delicious deli in all of Austin! All ingredients are incredibly fresh - The sandwiches are amazing, and the salads are superb. My only "critique" is that the side dressings/sauces are extremely small, especially for the cost per side of one (and TRUST me, they are homemade and delicious so you'll want a side dressing!). If the prices were a little less, I would eat at this place every single day for lunch. They've got a wide variety of menu items! Give them a try - You won't be disappointed!
