Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Tianhe

I left my travel adaptor behind in the hotel room when I checked out and only remembered upon arriving back in my country. Called them up and the staff on the phone kindly advised that they can help to keep my lost item, arrange for courier or have someone pick up for me. I got them to help deliver to a friend's hotel as they were still staying in Guangzhou, and the hotel very quickly settled all the courier arrangements for me via email. Within 1-2 days, the item reached my friend and I was really impressed and grateful for their prompt service! They made things really convenient for me as well by helping me to arrange everything, all I had to do was to make the payment via WeChat. Great service!

As expected of most marriott hotels this GZ branch is no different. Location is very good if you like to have a place to hang around. The grand view mall is right beside the hotel and it has many types of entertainment for all ages. The breakfast buffet spread was wide and has sufficient varieties. The man ho restaurant within the hotel is a good choice for meals when those at the mall are full . Good hotel choice for families

We went to Guangzhou Marriot hotel on the December 25th, 2025 because we want to make sure whether the Christian community (English language) are available or not to celebrate Christmas service, turns out they don't have any services during that day, only on Sunday. We communicate with the customer service officer (supervisor) and he help us to share the information and he also have a good English so it's not that hard for us to communicate. The lobby decorations is fantastic with Christmas festive. We love it so much, even the bell boy are very kind and nice to us..

I’ll be honest and say I found this hotel slightly disappointing but by no means a disaster!|For a start when you arrive in a very small welcome area apart from a very well known branded American coffee chain - you need to take the elevator up 5 floors to reach reception. It’s just a personal dislike!|Rooms themselves were nice and nothing majorly wrong - just in need of a bit of a refresh! |Executive Lounge which we used a few times for breakfast and evening was very good and staff very friendly. |For me it just lacked any real 5 star quality which it is claiming to be, but overall ‘fine’! Next time will I choose a different hotel- probably yes.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting me with a smile and ready to help with any request. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. I especially appreciated the beautiful view from my window and the quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The location was perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

I had an absolutely outstanding experience at the Marriott Tianhe during my recent stay. What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service and dedication of the staff, especially when I found myself in a stressful situation, having lost my passport at the airport. From the moment I reported the issue, Mark and his team went above and beyond to assist me. They coordinated with airport authorities, made several calls on my behalf, and kept me updated throughout the process. Thanks to their efficiency and genuine care, my passport was located and returned to me safely. I can’t express how relieved and grateful I was for their help. Beyond that, the overall service at the hotel was top-notch. The check-in was smooth, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and every staff member I encountered was courteous and attentive. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone made me feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not just a place to stay, but a team that genuinely cares about their guests. Thank you again to the wonderful staff for turning what could have been a travel nightmare into a reminder of true hospitality!

We stayed at the Marriott Hotel Guangzhou Tianhe for a week. It is conveniently located in the center of Tianhe, close to malls, subways, and shops. However, traffic is quite horrible during peak hours, often, we would get out of our Didi (China’s Uber) and walk because it was actually faster. While the subway is convenient, it can be very packed depending on the time. The rooms were clean and well kept, though they did feel a tad older than typical 5 star hotels. Since it opened in 2012, some wear and tear is to be expected after 13 years. We stayed on the 22nd floor, the highest level, which offered a great view of the city. The Executive Lounge is on the 20th floor, while it didn’t have many breakfast items, it was much quieter than the restaurant on the 5th floor. I especially liked that this Marriott offered two double beds, as most hotels in China, Hong Kong, and Macau tend to only have one king or two singles.

We stayed in Guangzhou Marriott Tianhe executive floor from November 29, 2025 to December 8, 2025. The room is large but shower area was small for executive floor. ||The workmanship of the room definitely substandard as China interior workmanship has no eyes for detail. ||The breakfast food was always better than the evening foods in the executive lounge. The servers in the executive lounge were very courteous. The arrangement of the lounge was comfortable. ||The hotel is located in a very convenient area to shopping malls but the traffic was the most congested in the area.
