Guavaberry Dominican Restaurant

Nice option for Dominican food. The flavor was close but they don’t have most menu items available to order. The carne guisada was cold but at least the rice and habichuelas were hot.

The best and newest Dominican Restaurant in town, theres no restaurant in the DMV that can compared. I felt like i was eating in Dominican Republic. The best food and customer service. Everyone should come here you wont regret it.

Red snapper en salsa de coco convinced me I like fish and coconut sauce. Also had moro for the first time, pretty tasty. Both were recommendations.

Dominican colleague of mines order ones and food was great, I came today to order that same thing, got 1/2 the order (only 3 pieces of cubed beef in an $18 entree) and double the rice. Long Story short of you’re BLACK/ AFRICAN AMERICAN expect to pay double and get 1/2. When I brought it up, after already paying I was told “things change”with a smile…. Pretty disappointing given I walk by everyday.

My wife and I ordered mangu, mofongo, and sancocho and it was amazing. This is the spot now. I’m going to need a gym membership cause I’ll be coming here often.

AMAZING! Got the chivo guisado, cerdo guisado, and trifongo. The flavors are out of this world, I can't wait to come back and eat the whole menu.

The food is delicious 😋 and Shirley’s customer service is outstanding. Next time you in Silver Spring, MD make sure to stop by for the delicious Fried Red Snapper with rice and beans.
