The Best Restaurants Near Hamilton Pool Preserve - Eater Austin

"Breakfast tacos/burritos and burgers can be found at the Spicewood food truck. The tacos and burritos are simple: think eggs, chorizo, beans, potatoes for the mornings and steak or chicken fajitas for lunch. Keep in mind it’s only open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and it’s closed on the weekends." - Nadia Chaudhury

Guernica Cafe is a hidden gem in a food truck zone, but don’t let that fool you - this is a full-fledged coffee spot with a dedicated space. While the coffee is prepared in a food truck, the seating area is a beautifully designed two-story setup with a stunning open view. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, and flavorful. We also tried the vegetarian breakfast wrap, and it was incredibly tasty - fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying. The service was warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is inviting, with high-quality touches throughout. If you’re looking for a great coffee spot with a relaxed vibe and a scenic setting, Guernica Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Google
Amazing little spot with a gorgeous view in Spicewood. Everything from the coffee to the desserts and sandwiches were top-notch. This place was recommended to us by a friend and we cannot speak highly enough about it. All outdoor seating but plenty of fans to cool you off.

Great place to stop by, have some delicious food and get a delicious matcha latte. Their seating upstairs had great views too. Definitely will be coming here more often!

This cafe wowed me with the best pesto chicken sandwich I ever had, incredible views, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’m personally not big on coffee myself, so my go to here is the raspberry hibiscus tea. My wife is obsessed with the cafe latte! My son had the grilled cheese and I was glad it was a big serving because it was so good! This spot is definitely a must!

My fiance and I decided to make the hour drive from Buda to visit Guernica Cafe. It didn't disappoint. We both had the chicken pesto panini and caesar salad. He had the hibiscus tea and I had the blueberry ginger tea and both were very good! Very fresh food and tasty teas. Comfy atmosphere with a beautiful view from the upper deck was well worth the drive.

Love the views out there! The coffee is fresh and I'm a huge fan of the blueberry ginger refresher! I ordered a 12oz with a grilled cheese and then took a 16z for the road.

Had a cup of drip coffee and cinnamon roll. Both were excellent. Loved sitting on deck and enjoying view. Will definitely be back.

Google
This place was very cute and the view was beautiful. But my iced coffee was almost $8 for a 12 oz😬 I don’t think it’s worth paying that much for only getting a few sips out of it.

Yelp
Come for the coffee, stay for the views! We are very picky about our coffee and we LOVED Guernicas Coffee! So delicious and an eclectic menu to choose from! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! The monkey bread was amazing and the protein bites were a perfect combination of savory and sweet. The view set a peaceful tone to our morning and made us pause and appreciate the area we live! A new addition to our weekly visits!

Yelp
Great place to relax with a coffee! I enjoyed my iced Lavender Latte! It had a floral earthy taste which I love. The hubby had a regular iced latte. The patio is pleasant with a view while you listen to music. The baked items looked really good but unfortunately we were too full from breakfast to try them this visit!

Yelp
Good find! Really nice patio to hang out on and have some cold brew with our dog! The taco truck next door is also good.

Yelp
Food truck with built in porch. Great shade and view. Good coffee and food. The Cold brew was excellent. Really good steel work to build out porch and seating area deck.

Yelp
Friendly service. Convenient location. Attractive views ( especially sunset and sunrise). Great coffees. I'm excited to taste their sandwiches that I understand are made with bread from Natasha Louro! She bakes the best stuff!

Yelp
The view is amazing during sun set and rise. There drinks are okay and I haven't had there food. The service is always nice and helpful.

Yelp
Really cool space to enjoy a great coffee; the breakfast sandwich was a great treat too! We also had an infused lemonade drink (they offer other refreshers) that was really good for the non-coffee drinker.

Yelp
Views nice but not worth the 20min wait for a single latte. Seems like everyone in front of me in the same boat

Yelp
Everyone greeted us with joyous smiles and provided great service. Enjoyed great coffee with delicious pastries! Had a great time relaxing with friends and enjoying the beautiful hill country view from their upper deck.

Yelp
I highly recommend stopping by for a visit to this café. This is a local family owned business and so much love is put into each and every item prepared. Everyone is beyond polite and the service is immaculate. Big shoutout to Gilbert and his family for being awesome and representing what the service industry is all about.
