A cornerstone of Main Street’s music culture, this indie record store fuels vinyl nights around town and supports local artists. Frequently mentioned in downtown event listings and music coverage.

I love this place! I discovered it by chance while on vacation in the U.S. visiting a friend, and I’m so glad I did. Ended up walking out with 5 vinyl records and a huge smile on my face ❤️ Also, shout-out to the lovely girl at the counter: super kind and welcoming! You’ve definitely gained a new fan from Italy. Can’t wait to come back someday!✌🏻

Google
Helpful staff with great selection of new and used vinyl. Everything from super cheap records to high-end stuff. Also, have a nice selection of equipment and accessories for any lover of vinyl.

Google
Absolutely brilliant selection of music, including new stuff and rarirties. Prices are out of this world ridiculously good. Loved the vibe of this place, I will be coming back. I was really impressed by their niche selection or artists, too.

Google
Great place if you're looking to buy new or older vinyl. They also carry new release vinyl records as well. They sell record players, some CDs, and cassettes, as well. They have a cheaper section of vinyls that were anywhere from one to three dollars.

Google
Kind and professional and pay top dollar for good records

Google
Record stores hold a special Nostalgia. This place is in a hip part of Norman and is easily accessible. The staff are very friendly and they have a great selection of CDs and vinyl. You might be able to find a few cassettes and record players there too. If you're looking for cheap records, and a hip place to hang out this is the place to be.

Ive been going to this record store for almost 3 years now and its still my favorite in Oklahoma!! The staff is extremely kind and they’re always willing to help you find things if you need it. And the store not only has a great selection of records… but also cds and cassettes too! I almost always leave with multiple things to add to my collection at home because of how good the prices are unlike some other stores. And im so glad I discovered Guestroom!! If you haven’t checked out this location yet I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Great vinyl shop on Main Street in Norman. Diverse collection of new & used. Friendly staff. Prices higher than on the east coast, but par for a college town.

Yelp
I stopped in wanting to find vintage records. What I found was a clean and trendy looking store full of rerelease vinyl and a lack of help from the staff. Not what I was expecting.

Yelp
Guestroom Records, a haven for music connoisseurs around. I admit. I listen to some music that's a bit.. aberrant. This generally means that I cant find my music just anywhere. It was a relief when we found this record store! Records, Cds, and paintings are just a few of the things they offer, New and used, affordable and expensive, this store offers it all. The employees here are always pretty knowledgeable, and always happy to help. Another cool thing about Guestroom, is if you cant find what your looking for, chances are, they can order it for you! A cool locally owned place for your music needs !

Yelp
This record store is amazing! I spent small fortune in there today and it was totally worth it! There is a great selection of genres and pretty decent prices. The staff was also very accommodating! I will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
I've known about Guestroom for a while. When I moved to Norman I had to check it out. Not only are they an amazing record store but they also sell new and vintage reconditioned equipment. I had been frequenting the shop since April and 2 weeks ago from the time of this review I went in with the express purpose of buying a higher end turntable that I've had my eye on for some time. The man at the counter recognized me as a regular and we struck up a great conversation and I came out of the store with a Technics SL-3300 turntable that was manufactured in 1978 and was in almost pristine condition and an amplifier whose name escapes me. The price for everything was more than agreeable so I came home with quite a deal. If you collect music media of any sort; LPs, 45s, cassettes, or CDs Guestroom is worth the visit (many times over). As a side note I went in wearing my Bob Ross T-shirt and found out the clerk, like myself, watches him on Netflix

Yelp
Both Guestroom Record locations are fantastic but the Norman location is our "go to" store. When you walk in you are ALWAYS greeted cheerfully. You also feel a great "vibe" there and a bit of nostalgia. Love how the store looks and how everything is organized. Believe us, they have everything you might be looking for: used, new, indie, punk, classic rock, jazz, hip hop, country, soundtracks and much more including posters and 45's. They also have new and vintage audio equipment, headphones and accessories. If you're looking for inner or outer sleeves, either in bulk or a few at a time, they have that covered. If you need box sets, they have them. We also love the fact that they are a "Record Store Day" and "Black Friday" participant at BOTH locations. We love Marnie, she's always helpful and on top of things. As a matter of fact, when we see her there, we know for a fact she'll take great care of us. Another bonus is "Charlie," their store cat-he's awesome and leaves us with a smile! One more thing, our CEO is in a wheelchair and gets get around EASILY in this particular store-THANK YOU for that! For a lot of reasons, it's our favorite store in Oklahoma, customer service is great and they love what they're doing and their customers.

Yelp
Great record store, very helpful Mexicana talked to me about Molotov! She put up with my rusty Spanish. I'm from Austin-I know good record stores, this is a great one. Inexpensive but interesting used stock, lots of new stock. I will be back the next time I pass through. Me encanta.

Yelp
The only thing I can add is that Guestroom gives good prices on your used records/cds/dvds when they can, and they'll tell you when you could get a better deal selling to Hastings or on eBay. That's integrity. They are simply a perfect record store. Travis studied film in school so they always have a great dvd selection too. They're all super nice and won't laugh if you ask for trip-hop. Everybody in Oklahoma already knows and loves this place, so if you're traveling through the area it's well worth your time to stop by. You'll find the new things you're looking for and ten other things you forgot about but have to buy now that you saw them for such a good price.

Yelp
Guestroom Records is a rare treasure in Oklahoma City. I've been to many used record stores and Guestroom is the best. Most used Cd's are $9 and very fair pricing on new products. They will also order anything you desire. I have asked for many recommendations and the guys there know what they are talking about. I have never been disappointed with the selection. They also feature new and used vinyl, books, hats, t-shirts and even record players. Shopping anywhere else is a travesty. I do like Good Records in Dallas as well, but Guestroom is a bike ride away. For Oklahoma City and Norman, there is no other place I purchase my music at. Please support a great local business. Tell them I sent you!

Yelp
I've bought a lot CDs and vinyl here, so I recommend Guestroom, and I prefer the Norman store over the OKC location. The staff is sometimes helpful and friendly, or sometimes too busy on the phone or the computer to notice you - just depends on who is working. I like the surprisingly wide variety of new titles they get.

Yelp
One of my favorite record stores in the country. Great selection, great vibes and great people.

Yelp
Was told they did not own "The Book of Chances" by Circle of Magi. That's okay, because it doesn't exist. I can't fault them for not carrying something that doesn't exist.

Yelp
this has been my go to source for all things music going over ten years now. they have incredible selection, and the employees are very helpful and always willing to give you their opinion on a band or album. they carry great used selection if you are wanting to keep things on a budget, but also have all the new stuff you could hope to see. the owners work in the stores regularly and yo ucan catch them often. they are some of the coolest, nicest, most down to earth guys you could ever hope to meet. also they're very active in the local music scene helping to promote local music in their stores, putting on shows, and even producing albums through guestroom records records. they have three locations now with this being the original in norman. there is one on western in north oklahoma city, and there is one located in the acm@uco building in bricktown. all are great and have a slightly different look, feel, and personality. can't recommend this place enough. i have spent more time than i care to admit just going through vinyl and have enjoyed every minute of it.
