Pulled up and parked out front without any issue. The front parking lot and the exterior of the building appeared litter free and absent of any noticable issues. Additional parking exist along the Eastside of the building as well as directly behind the building. Immediately we were warmly greeted upon entry by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. We were immediately seated without incident. It was extremely hot on the day of our visit and the AC was set appropriately to be refreshingly pleasant, additionally we elected to have ice waters with lemon as our beverages to combat the heat. The waters arrived immediately without delay. The water tasted clean and was extremely refreshing. We ordered off of the lunch menu. I had beef Lo Mein while my lunch companion elected to have the shrimp Lo Mein. The lunch menu plates come with the choice of a vegetable spring roll or a crab puff, choice of soup and choice of rice as well as the entree. We both selected the egg flower soup. The soup arrived at the table without delay. We both enjoyed the soup, we found it hot, fresh and delicious. I elected the spring roll while my companion selected the crab puff. We both going it selections pleading. Both were pleasant and very satisfying. The Lo Mein was extremely flavorful and was the star of the show. Packed with flavor it was very enjoyable. I found the beef well seasoned, tender and flavorful while my companion found the shrimp equally well seasoned. I found my friend rice equally well seasoned and enjoyable. We both enjoyed the the entire meals arrived well seasoned and served without being excessively salty. Over all we were both extremely pleased with our meal choices and felt that, price, value and service were all spot on. We both look forward to returning to enjoy another tasty hot flavorful meal. Visit with confidence, you won't be disappointed.

Google
The food is okay. The best thing they have is Mongolian beef. Truly the reason we won’t be back is the service. We’ve tried it 3 times to give it a fair shot (last time being today)and the only person with good customer service is Dawn-unfortunately she wasn’t there today. She is exceptionally nice but Everyone else is super rude. Service is just as important as the food, this place has neither. The reviews mentioning the poor service are accurate… customers don’t want to deal with the rude attitudes.

Craving great Chinese food? You have to check out Guilin Restaurant on Broadway. I've been a fan of this spot for a while, but my wife and I recently had a meal there that reminded me why it's a standout. We were pleasantly surprised to find they offer their lunch specials on a Sunday—something you rarely see at other restaurants. We ordered the Chicken Lo Mein and Mongolian Beef, and both dishes were as delicious as we'd come to expect. While the portions were generous, we were full by the time we finished, making us wonder if the lunch portions were even smaller than the dinner ones! The service was both quick and friendly, and we noticed the restaurant has been updated since our last visit, with new chairs and tabletops giving it a fresh, modern feel. The place is always bright and clean, from the dining room to the restrooms—which, in my experience, is always a great sign of a well-run establishment. For fresh, consistently great Chinese food and friendly service, Guilin Restaurant is a top choice. We'll be back again soon.

Google
A lot of vegan options. Service was fast however one staff member was kind of rude and bothered by me asking about the vegan options. The food was ok but I don’t think I would not go out of my way to eat there.

Google
Delicious vegan options! So many vegan meats. The Mongolian dish was so flavorful. On the spicy side fyi. Lunch menu has great prices. Can't wait to go back. Super fast service

Google
Awful! Less than mediocre, Panda Express has a better quality! A large group went out after swimming and everyone complained. I’d ordered an appetizer of fried shrimp which arrived in what seemed was fried in a less sweetened cake batter. Avoid ordering at all cost. Same with the orange chicken with sauce on the side. Won’t return. Don’t recommend!

Google
The absolute best Chinese food Tucson has to offer! Everything was so fresh and prepared perfect. Service is amazing and my kids loved it as well!

Google
I absolutely love this place! The vegan and vegetarian options are endless. I tried the Mu Shu Veggie Pork and it was crazy I thought it might have been real pork. I definitely do not like pork on my fork for obvious reasons but the texture and flavor is amazing! Love this place! The drumsticks are the best in town besides yardhouse veggie wings.

Yelp
Excellent food. Clean flavors, great composure, good portions. Kind staff Very fast service 10/10 best Chinese food in Tucson.

Yelp
Newly update and remodeled! The dining room is spotless and very pleasant. We love coming here for the lunch special. Excellent, clean, food for a great price (lunchtime 7 days per week). However - today we had a rather grouchy server... bad manners and a sour look on her face. "Maybe she's going through something in her life", I thought... but dang.

Yelp
They prepared it quick and it had lots of broccoli and, perhaps, corn starch. Great fortune on my fortune cookie. Leftovers were eaten by my son in law for lunch.

Yelp
So many options and choices, it was almost overwhelming. The vegetarian options were some of the best I've seen b/c they can make the dishes with just vegetables, with tofu or with the vegan meats. Service was very friendly and helpful. We had hot and sour soup and wonton soup - both very good. And then we had hunan shrimp, mongolian tofu and chicken fried rice. All huge portions like you'd expect and delicious. Plenty to take home for the next day. One of the tables were clearly regulars and had them do their meals gluten free which they were happy to do. They can do no oil, light oil or gluten free if requested. The family that was gluten free said they come in all the time and are very careful about not cross contaminating. Lunch specials seem very reasonable. We will definitely try it for lunch. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
What great lunch specials this place has! The menu has many options, organized by protein type and ranging (I think) from about $12-$15. The lunches include a rice (white/brown/or fried), soup (egg drop or hot/spicy), a fried egg roll, and the main dish. I had the black mushrooms and vegetables, which was so fresh and delicious! A great value for lunch Oh, and they have the placemats with your Chinese animal, which are always fun to read!

Yelp
Haven't been here in a long time. N Kids felt like Chinese food . They had teriyaki beef n white rice. N I also had the egg flowers soup which I finished it in 2 minutes . Rich in flavor perfect temperature. I also had fried shrimp order if 8 . It was ok , too much thick breading. But took most of it off n ate the shrimp overall my kids liked this place . They said we should come more often , they liked the ambience n service. We will definitely come back

Yelp
So horrible! I ordered the sesame chicken and crab puffs for take out. They were both really bad. Not sure what the chicken was. Rinsed the sauce off to give a couple pieces to my dogs and decided to throw it all away when I saw that it looked as bad as it tasted. Maybe just all skin? It was really thin and chewy and gross. Hope it was chicken. Paid $28 (with tip) for rice. Woman that answered the phone and greeted me was very nice.

Yelp
Had lunch there, it's the 2nd time my coworkers and I have gone there. Food is very good for the price. Great service too.

Yelp
Been coming here most of my life! Food has always been consistently good and affordable. I have amazing memories here. Their lunch special is such an amazing deal and their portions are great. We still come here EVERY TIME we visit Tucson from California. Love Guilin!

Yelp
I frequented this place in college but haven't been in the last five years. Today, I decided to order takeout for lunch and was disappointed. I ordered two lunch specials, a tofu dish and a twice cooked pork, both with white rice, and both orders were wrong. I didn't realize until I got back to work that they were wrong so I still ate them. The fried rice had no flavor and barely any egg. The vegetables were shriveled and freezer burnt. The entrees had very little meat and were lacking in flavor. I didn't bother to call them back because I was too frustrated. I will not be back.

Yelp
We have been here many times. The food is consistently good, service is friendly and quick. It is nice to come in and sit down, where the restaurant is very bright and comfortable. We have also ordered out. The food was packaged well so that there were no spills, not even from the soup! The food is pretty darn good and I have not had anything here I did not like. I have a hard time not ordering the low mien. Now, here is where this restaurant really shines! If you are a vegetarian or vegan, they have you covered in every way! The tofu is handled and fried perfectly. But the treat is they have vegetarian (not sure about vegan) chicken, pork and beef. I am not doing this place justice. Try it. Your tummy will be happy you did.

Yelp
Delicious! Food was fresh. The staff provided excellent service. The atmosphere was relaxing. Great experience every time we go! WE RECOMMEND.

Yelp
Great lunch special. Lots of options for $8.99 or $9.99. Includes entree, choice of soup, choice of rice and egg roll or crab puff. Generous portions and quick service. Servers were attentive and quick. Parking was an issue, back lot was full (and small) and front spots were full so had to park pretty far

Yelp
Tucson Arizona Yelp did not give this restaurant good reviews. But all of the other reviews on Google gave it a 4.1to 4.3. Time to try it for myself. I ordered a Lucky Buddha beer for $4.99. My guest just had water. Lots of choices on the menu from a standard Chinese dish to vegetarian and Thai food. I chose the Thai style shrimp for $16.99. My husband selected the combination lo mein. The interior of the restaurant has wood tables with a formica top and high back chairs with blue vinyl. Booths go around the restaurant with blue vinyl seating, and a glass divider between the booths. Water is served in a real glass and they have pretty blue and white plastic plates. I wish the dishes were real China or stone-wear. They do have stainless steel flatware to eat with. The walls are cream with standard Chinese paintings lining the walls. The front of the house appears to be very clean. The floors and tables are immaculate. The restaurant is not busy for 6 o'clock on Wednesday night. But I hear the dinging of the DoorDash orders continuously. The lo mein has good flavor. There was a nice amount and balance of the chicken beef, pork and shrimp. It did not have enough vegetables. In fact, other than cabbage, there was very little of anything other than the noodles from the meat. The shrimp was interesting. Good flavor. Almost like a sweet-and-sour. I do think they just used Thai chili sauce. The plate was lined with broccoli which was nice to have those big spears of veggies. The shrimp is coated in a crunchy texture. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. My only complaint is the rice was cold and very sticky. I think that the food was basic. Nothing great, nothing bad. My husband really enjoyed his food but I think I would try a different restaurant next time I am in town.

Yelp
I was torn between a 4 and 5 start rating for this spot! I thought the dishes were missing a bit of flavor, but then again, I believe the restaurant is advertised as particularly healthier Chinese food. Perhaps this philosophy of cooking is intrinsically linked to a healthier version of Chinese food-- having less of that classic, savory flavor profile than one might be used to. Even with this being said, I can't bring myself to rate this place a 5 star because I value the entree the most in a dining experience. Everything else was great. Hosts and servers were friendly. Water was attentively filled and places was not too crowded. Parking was a little awkward coming in from Broadway, we parked in front of the eye clinic a few offices down (not during their operating hours). Maybe there was more parking around back? It was not a problem for us.

Yelp
How can they call this restaurant Guilin Chinese restaurant. They don't even have Guilin food items on the menu. I've been there myself. My wife was born there. This is very disappointing. It's American Chinese food. Don't be fooled by the name.

Hensyl M.

Yelp
First time I came here was for a work meeting and I have loved it ever since. Especially the lunch specials they are $10.99 you get egg drop soup or sour soup and egg roll or crab puff and whatever your main meal is with your choice of rice! It's authentic and delicious I would 100% recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Very fast and efficient service for a sit down restaurant. We easily got in with a big group for a nice quick and delicious lunch. We love all the vegetarian and vegan options and everyone seem to enjoy the delicious meal..

Ana R.

Yelp
I love Chinese food and this is my spot. great service, food is great is 20 minutes drive but I do it over and over to eat here .
google avatar

Yelp
A hidden gem to say the least! They're quick and quality food! The service as I said was very fast and attentive! Most definitely the best Chinese food in Tucson! A must try!
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it! We had the crab puffs for an appetizer, my fiancé had chop suey and I had shrimp lo-mein. The wait staff were friendly and the food came out pretty fast and tasted pretty great. We're looking forward to coming back to enjoy more dishes!

Brian E.

Yelp
Their grub hub driver lost my order. I don't even know how that was possible when I typed my info in online...whatever.
google avatar

Lacey G.

Yelp
The food here was so delicious! The restaurant is very clean and the staff were very friendly. Our food came out so quick and was hot and fresh! The hot and sour soup was probably the best I've ever had. That is a soup that seems to taste differently at every restaurant and not always good but they have got it down here. Everything was honestly so good and my family and I enjoyed it very much. The only thing is that they do not have kid menus but the dishes weee large enough for my kids to share. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
This is a tough review for me to write since I used to love Guilin so much and ate here all the time for years and years...but what has happened to this place?! The food has become so terrible, honestly. There is no seasoning, no flavor, except for the occasional dish that has so much salt it's inedible. It also seems that they've switched to using canned vegetables for many dishes, like canned mushrooms which is sooo nasty. The last several times I got soup, it was 90% broth, and the broth was so full of corn starch that it JIGGLED. Soup broth should not be a gelatinous solid. Worst of all, and the main reason I'm writing this review is because I recently read that their "vegan meats" have whey protein...so that's years of me eating food advertised as vegan but has animal protein. Beyond disappointing. The staff here is so nice and so kind, but the food quality and fake meat situation is absolutely inexcusable.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was very fresh and overall pretty good but a little on the bland side. I had kung pao chicken. Rice and egg drop soup was excellent!
google avatar

Judy F.

Yelp
I've enjoyed most of what I've eaten here.. just over a cold and my son picked up Hot n sour soup at least 5 times.. I do like it , however, they cut corners.. a large container of soup and then paid extra for wontons, BUT they should have put in separate container...BUT they added to the soup..Soooo much less soup!! Paid for the soup and then won tons separately.. You see where I'm going with this... I will go back and show them pics I took and question them.. Also each time was charged different price for the won tons ‍

Yelp
Love the food, and polite servers. I typically order food to go and have been ordering here for years. The quality is consistent.

Evette D.

Yelp
I had lunch here and everything was tasty. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and pictures of the dishes were on a lit screen above. They have a small bar and you can order plum wine. Service was almost too quick, as in most Chinese restaurants. I felt rushed but I enjoyed my meal and it was healthy as advertised.

Yelp
We were just there this past week and had not been in for a while, since we moved from the area, to the far west side. But, we decided to stop by for dinner, since we were driving by, and they still make some of the freshest and best Chinese food around. My all time favorite is their Orange Chicken, no one makes it like they do, and their food is not overly spiced, but tastes great and the staff is very nice. Still my all time favorite and my family too.
google avatar

Yelp
Been coming here for years and it's always been the same great tasting food and service, highly recommend if you are looking for some Chinese food in the Tucson area
google avatar

Yelp
This little place is one you can drive by easily because it is in a strip mall next to a Jack in the Box. If you find it, you should try it! It is so cute inside and super clean and bright. The menu is expansive with vegan and vegetarian options. We frequently eat in-person and pick up take out. This is also has the best lunch special in town for a super reasonable price! Everything is delicious. You can't go wrong. Tonight we had crab puffs, house lo mein and house chop suey. So so good. The service is fast and friendly. One of my go-tos for years.

Yelp
Guilin was an absolute pleasure! I've been staying with some family for the Holidays, and they suggested Guilin as a great option for a Chinese-style dinner. I definitely wasn't disappointed! The dining area is simple, but very clean and spacious. We were quickly seated and had our order taken in no time. I found the service to be very quick, friendly, and efficient. Drinks, appetizers, and the entrees were all brought out quite quickly, one after the other, and it was all very hot and fresh! For drinks, we got a pot of jasmine green tea for the whole table, and I also got some of their hot sake. Both were great! The sake was definitely really good and very strong! All of the food was delicious, and as previously stated, very hot and fresh. I got the vegetable lo mein, which was perfectly prepared, especially when paired with some of the chili sauce that they brought to the table. Chili sauces can sometimes be disappointingly weak, but this one was definitely pretty strong and hot! I really enjoyed it. I also got a small wonton soup, which was very hot, soothing, and delicious as well. All of the food here felt very fresh and authentic, it was all very appealing both visually and to the taste buds! There were also a lot of vegetarian and vegan options for everything, which I also appreciated. This place was a win for me! Reasonable prices, quick service, and excellent food with a diverse array of options. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Natasha M.

Yelp
Good service, great food! I highly recommend the crab puffs and fried wontons, as for the entree you can't go wrong with General Tao's chicken! The ambiance is also very laid back and relaxed. Definitely a great dinner spot!
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Another hidden Tucson gem! This restaurant has decent Chinese food. The Black Pepper Beef was tasty and fresh. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are attentive.

Matt T.

Yelp
Really good! Definitely recommend it to anyone, the orange chicken was good and I recommend!
google avatar

Trixie B.

Yelp
If you want Americanized Chinese food it hits the spot. Friendly service and great value. Personally I am used to real Chinese food so not a hit for me. My 8 year old niece loved her red dye 40 sweet and sour chicken.

Rosemary W.

Yelp
ordered spicy thai pad with pork, shrimp and chicken. dish was mostly noodles with probably less than 1/4 pound of meat! since i';ve been ordering this dish over the last couple years, I keep noticing how the meat amount keeps getting reduced. i'd be surprised if it even equals a whopper or quarter pounder at McDonald's! For goodness sake, charge more of you have to, but give the customer an adequate amount of protein! if 2 people were sharing this dish -- as is often the case --- they will STARVE! of course the dish looks like a lot of of food because of the abundance of noodles --- which we know costs the restaurant next to nothing.

Yelp
Great for vegetarians so many options! Basically everything you can imagine but with tofu meat or just veggies. I have tried take out many times and last time I ate at the restaurant. Super quick service and nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Cliff D.

Yelp
Worst and most expensive Chinese meal We ate there Labor Day weekend place is empty really lousy
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
The nicest staff you'll ever meet. Excellent service. Lunch was great, wish the meat portion was bigger, but excellent taste.
google avatar

Stephanie O.

Yelp
My family's favorite Chinese food restaurant recently closed. We have been trying to find somewhere that compares, and this place definitely comes close! We came here for lunch on Sunday and service was quickly and the food was fresh and delicious! I hope take out is just as good because I'm sure we'll be ordering that soon.
google avatar

Laura E.

Yelp
Will be back. This close to home and the service was really very good. I thought it was a counter service place, but it is not. Food was average+ I he the Pork and Veggies, very good. Not greasy but very flavorful. We'll be back.
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
We appreciate that this place has a huge vegetarian and vegan menu with separate sections for fake meats. Unfortunately, we've now tried it a handful of times and it is so inconsistent that "not very good" seems to be the one consistent thing... What we liked: Veg lo mein (only ok 2nd time) Mushu veg Sautéed string beans (ok 2nd time) Veg fried rice What we didn't like: Sesame tofu (bad flavor) Chinese greens (bland & overcooked) Szechuan tofu Broccoli w garlic sauce Tofu w broccoli Orange tofu General Tso's fake chicken (tough fake meat and bland sauce)
google avatar

Margaret N.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from Guilin and received a very tasty sweet and sour soup. Also an egg roll with wonderful dipping sauce. Perfect combination that's low calorie and low carb!

G D.

Yelp
I removed one star based on my most recent visit this week. Ordered the same dishes we had last visit, and that we really liked. The house special rice noodles and the broccoli beef. This time the noodles had some bright red slivers of meat - either char siu or Chineses sausage that gave the whole dish an off taste. I note that the menu indicates "pork", not what type. Last time we had this, I think it was slices for stir-fried pork along with the shrimp and chicken. The broccoli beef was also disappointing - drenched in thin gravy (needed more corn starch). Broccoli still very crunchy - not far from raw. Beef was bland. So not great all around. I have not explanation for the difference between this visit and last. Restaurant only had a few people getting takeout. Chef was the same (the older guy that smokes in the back outside on his breaks - been there all 3 times I've been there).

Erik K.

Yelp
Orange chicken, crab puffs, and beef lo mein were absolutely killer. Maybe a little salty but still spectacular over all.
google avatar

Pibbity B.

Yelp
The food was very good. I ordered Mongolian Beef and Hot & Sour soup. Hot & Sour soup is my go to "cure" when I feel like I might be coming down with a cold. It always works. I wish more Asian restaurants used more ginger in Hot & Sour soup for the spicy part, but black pepper, white pepper, or red pepper seem to be the go-to in this part of the country. The soup was still very good. I will definitely order from this restaurant again. My only negative about this restaurant is the parking. Trying to get in and out of those tiny strips of angled parking on Broadway is a real pain (at ANY business, not just this one).
google avatar

Eileen S.

Yelp
One of my new favorites. the staff is wonderful, and the hot & sour soup is beyond compare. The food is perfectly cooked, tender-crisp vegetables, and they appear to accommodate many types of restricted diets. If they ever start dim sum again I'll be there regularly,
