If you’re looking for authentic Guilin rice noodles in San Francisco, this place is a gem! The broth is rich and flavourful, the noodles are perfectly chewy, and the toppings are fresh and generous. Portion sizes are very fair for the price (great value around $10–20). The staff are friendly and quick, and even when it’s busy, service feels smooth and welcoming. The restaurant is clean and casual, making it a comfortable spot for either a quick bite or a full meal. Definitely a place I’d come back to whenever I’m in the city.

No matter where you’re from, if you like Chinese rice noodles and soup-based dishes, I highly recommend trying this traditional rice noodle soup from Guangxi Province at this restaurant in San Francisco. The flavor is quite authentic, and I think it’s worth it—even though I don’t live nearby.

We order as a takeout. I would say the staff is pretty nice and the environment was pretty normal. Nothing special. It is pretty clean. They have plenty of noodles on the menu and you can choose to make it soup or dry . The only complaint that we have is, I wish they can have a little bit more meat due to the price . The flavors were OK. And noodle was pretty bouncy.

We visited this restaurant at 5pm on a Friday. Metered parking was easy on a side street a block away and the restaurant had lots of empty tables. Service was fast and friendly. The menu is small for a Chinese-style restaurant. Most of the dishes involve their famous Guilin rice noodles, either dry with a herb sauce or in light soup. Toppings are marinated beef, crispy pork, or fatty pork belly. The different combinations have different flavors and textures, but all taste great. The noodles have a pleasant light and chewy texture. I got the herb sauce noodles which have a nice flavor, but not spicy hot. There are a couple of different fresh pepper sauces on the table if you want more heat. Prices are reasonable (about $16) for a bowl that was large enough for my dinner with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

The parking around the area is limited. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the waitlist was incredibly long. We ended up ordering takeout, but still had to wait 20-30 minutes. We ordered the Cucumber Salad with Minced Garlic, House Special GRN, Hot and Sour Noodle Soup, and Marinated Combination Plate. Unfortunately, the cucumber salad was bland, and the sauce was not good either. Similarly, the combination plate was quite dry. On a positive note, the Hot and Sour Noodle Soup had a generous portion, and the flavor was authentically hot and sour. I didn't try other items from the menu, but based on what I ordered, I would say the food was decent, though not outstanding.

Google
This is our go-to for guilin style rice noodles. We get takeout here at least once a month. The dry version travels better and comes with a small side of soup. Everything is very flavorful and the noodle texture is just right it's a bit chewy and bouncy. It is a bit expensive for a simple dish but that's the price you pay for living in the bay area.

Google
Our group of 5 got seated shortly before they closed. We ordered and got our food soon. You can speak Cantonese or Mandarin here I think. The staff were really fun with us and replying to us even though we spoke lots of broken mandarin. Parking around here isn't too bad. The portion sizes of what we ordered were all really good. Some of the stuff kinda spicy if you're bad with spice so just watch out. Meat is really good, just wish their were more! Overall great experience. Thanks!

Yelp
Ambiance: Quiet, unassuming restaurant with seating for maybe about 35 people. It was pretty empty when I got in around 6:30 on a Saturday evening, but was completely full by the time we finished our meal. Service: Very responsive and they give you tea from the start. If there's anything you need, it's easy to flag someone down. Food: The food came out relatively quickly and I ordered the house special (c1), which consisted of crispy pork, pig ears, tripe, and marinated beef on top of a bed of thick rice noodles (like the thickness and somewhat consistency of spaghetti noodles), with a side of soup. I loved this so much because you can dip the noodles in the soup or eat everything at your own pace so the noodles aren't soggy, it's not too hot, etc. The soup was a clear pork broth packed with flavor but didn't feel heavy. All of the meats were marinated and I loved having different textures to my meal. The crispy pork is so delicious and so crispy! The only reason why I ordered this was because of the reviews, but next time, I might add another side of crispy pork because it really was that good. There were also pickled green beans, adding a nice depth and surprise. My friend ordered the vegetable noodle soup, which also looked amazing. This is not a vegetarian dish, as I believe the broth is the same pork broth as the others. It was packed with so many different veggies + fried tofu. I would definitely have this in the future, but maybe with a side of that crispy pork. Overall, I will recommend you check this spot out if you're in the sunset. This spot has changed many hands over the years and I hope this noodle spot is here to stay!

Yelp
Like many other reviewers, I wasn't familiar with this style of noodles and I'm not sure I'm a big fan of it. I found the meat a bit on the dry side, and the noodles were too slippery for my taste. The service was good, though, and the smashed cucumber was actually a nice touch. When I went during lunch, it was pretty busy, but I was still able to get a table. I think I would come back for a casual meal and give it another try.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place, but was disappointed in the end. Service was ok and the food was just not my cup of tea! I did like the cucumber salad and the wings were delicious! I however, did not like their dry style noodles. There should be some sort of sauce you can add to it, but only a flavorless broth was available. I did not think their noodles were home made either. The noodles seem to be more like a spaghetti rice noodles that was boiled from a dry state and not home made. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

Yelp
We need to return for the main event- rice noodle dishes - because their dry fried wings are amazing. Sticky, fragrant with seasoning, studded with garlic and inside, so juicy ($14.95, 8 pieces). I think Guilin's dry-fried wings are better than San Tung's, try for yourself and see! Potstickers were also delicious: Stuffed with pork and pan fried, served with two spicy chili sauces and vinegar to season to your taste ($9.95, 6 pieces). Friendly service, clean and tidy with stunning photographic wall art over the booths. We'll definitely return for their rice plates and brothy soups like hot & sour and others that include tripe and intestines for you offal fans.

Yelp
This review is long overdue. I visited twice in August and loved the food both times. The portions were generous, and every dish was full of flavor. The staff were friendly, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back soon to try more.

Yelp
Simple decor with friendly wait staff. That's a good start. Then comes what I think it's best GuangXi (Guilin) white round rice noodles (mi xian) in the SF Bay Area. The noodles are made just right with a bit of chewey smooth taste. Just perfection with its marinade sauce. By the way, it's presented as dry noodles with a bowl of clear soup. One can add a tablespoon or two of the soup if noodles seem dry... One can choose different ingredients to go with the dry soup noodle. I recommend the combo mix... I get crispy pork, beef, tripes and a 1/2 marinated egg... everything tastes fine. Come try if you haven't been here yet! After reading all of that, you may think this is an ad! I assure you that i don't know the owner. Let me give you my only complaint... place closes at 9:30pm... at 9pm, the staff goes to deep clean the only rest room available... took almost 25 minutes! I finished my meal at 9:05 and had to WAIT 20 minutes to use the restroom. ‍ I know employees want to leave on the dot at 9:30pm but take care of your customers first! I didn't deduct this 1/2 point star, hoping they change the practice.

Yelp
From what I can taste, this place is legit -- although I'm not particularly familiar with Guilin-style food, I've come a few times, including with my very Chinese parents and the noodles have not disappointed. I've gotten the house special and the flavor is unmatched -- it's got that braised "lu" type of flavor and the meat and pickled veg and egg and scallion work so well together. I also like the romaine lettuce side - very hot (temperature wise) and garlicky. This place is also really good for a solo meal, and service was pretty fast. It's relatively no frills inside and it's in a sleepy neighborhood. Only downside is that it's tough to park in this area. Looking forward to coming back again!

Yelp
Very homey experience with light yet flavorful casual Chinese food! They specialize in their rice noodle soups, which are not too heavy but also filling. I liked that the house special came with different kinds of pork and half a tea egg. It was fun to receive the broth separately and then pour it over the noodles! I did feel like my first few bites weren't as flavorful as the last few because the rice noodles didn't seem to absorb as much broth at the top, but once I got to the bottom of the bowl it was delicious. The scallion pancakes were also a little unusual in that they were thicker and fluffier than normal ones and were lacking a little green onion, but they were just so incredibly crispy and flaky that they were yummy nonetheless. The staff were super nice to take me and my friend in less than an hour before closing, and it was nice to be greeted with hot tea!

Yelp
Hit the spot and the kind waitstaff appeased my insane thirst for iced tap water. Bomb variety of texture in the dish, found it comforting and unique. Shhhlurp up friends.

Yelp
Attentive staff! Welcomes you with nice hot black tea :)! We got A6: Pig Ears, C1: House Special, C9: Braised Pork Belly. All 3 were YUMMY! The portions for the noodles were LARGE so come hungry :) *PLUS* they have a restroom for customers to use! Restaurant lands on 19th street so we had to park on the small streets and walk up, but it wasn't hard to find parking! Inside is a lot smaller than we thought but it wasn't too busy so we were able to get seated right away! They have big great windows of 19th Ave busy streets so that was fun to see!

Yelp
Came back to Guilin Rice Noodles House after a few months and prices have unfortunately gone up since the last time I was here only about 2 months ago. Our party of 2 was seated almost immediately at 7:30pm on a Tuesday evening. The menu is pretty straightforward, with different combinations of proteins with the guilin rice noodles (GRN) with different combinations of protein, noodles with soup, or rice plates, with some side dishes. There are condiments of spicy chili sauce, chili oil, and white vinegar. The chili is spicier than you would expect, so start with a little and make sure to use the vinegar to balance the spice! Everyone gets complimentary tea as well. C1. House Special GRN ($17.50): this is a lot of noodles and usually enough for two meals for me, with a generous serving of proteins, including crispy skin pork, tendon, and more. There's a minimal amount of pickled vegetable and peanuts in this as well, and the simple savory soup on the side is perfect for a little relief from the spice if you add chili to your noodles. The GRN are very elastic and chewy, which makes for a fun eating experience. A11. Spicy and Sour Chicken Feet ($10.95) this was not too spicy or sour, but somewhat sweet, which was unexpected. Definitely enough to share between 3-4 people if everyone is also getting noodles. Also comes with some pickled banana peppers (can be quite spicy), celery, and a lemon slice. Overall, GRN is still a good value and a delicious meal, but with the higher prices may not be as much of a go to everyday meal as it was previously. Still excited for the next time I can come back for some spicy and sour noodles!

Yelp
This place feels like a hidden gem. Came across it after playing some pickleball nearby and was craving some noodles. Definitely hit the spot. The crispy pork was oh so crispy and the food came out really fast too. I don't think I've ever had noodles like this before and was very pleasantly surprised. Price is good too so can't complain. Service is quick and the restaurant is pretty casual. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
My new favorite noodle spot in SF! The golden crispy pork is OUT OF THIS WORLD - the skin is so crispy and crunchy, and the meat is the perfect combo of fatty and lean. The dry noodles comes with a side of clear broth, and sauce on the bottom. I also really like the vinegar, chili oil and chili paste they have on each table so you can add to your own taste. Oh my god I'm still thinking about the crispy pork. The staff here are super friendly, I wanted to order a side of the pickled vegetable but she just ended up giving me extra
google avatar

Samantha F.

Yelp
I drive past this place all the time and serendipitously decided to stop by this place after playing pickleball down the street. We were presently surprised the by the food and the affordable price. We ordered 4 bowls of noodles and 3 of us ordered the House GRN and my vegan sister opted for the vegetable GRN bowl. - House GRN: came with basically all the meats and a side of soup. I love that the dish included the crispy skin pork amongst different cuts of meat because it gave the dish such a nice crunchy texture. The noodles were nicely spiced and you follow each noodle bite with a slurp of soup. At the end, you pour the soup in the noodles to finish off the bowl. This hit the spot :) - vegetable GRN: this came with the same noodles, but in veggie broth and oddly had quail eggs which she gave us. Overall, each bowl cost about $18 WITH tax and tips which is pretty affordable considering how expensive food is nowadays. VERDICT: Would definitely return :)

Yelp
What a find! We typically go to Mr. Szechuan across the street but decided to try something new and we were glad we did! We both ordered the C1 and it was solid - crispy pork was great and the other assortment of meats as well. Price was good, service was attentive, and parking was pretty easy. The vibe was pretty casual and we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kellie C.

Yelp
Spacious seating and friendly staff. Food was excellent as well! The pork belly noodle soup was fantastic, zero complaints. They have extra chilis and chili oil on the side as well if you like an extra kick on top of the spice. The chicken wings were crispy and flavorful. The pigs ear were crunchy and delicious. We also ordered the pork belly over rice. We thought the pork belly was a bit dry (rice dish) but the pork belly in the soup dish was great!
google avatar

Michele T.

Yelp
GRN is in our neighborhood and we drive by all the time, but only decided to check it out now. Don't know why we waited so long. Prices are reasonable and we enjoyed each dish we ordered. Started with the pig ears - tasty. The potstickers arrived next - maybe a bit more doughy than what I like but it was still good. Ordered the GNR with crispy pork which comes with a side of broth. May not look like much, but the texture of the noodles and all the toppings made this a tasty bowl. The dry fried chicken wings arrived last. I liked the sauce - good but would've liked the chicken to be a bit crisper. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will return. Note - caution if there's a peanut allergy as many dishes contained peanuts.

Yelp
It's on that block of Taraval off 19th Avenue with the guilty pleasure Chinese spots like House of Pancakes (review: https://yelp.to/uonzBdRDEc). I've seen this corner restaurant usually out of the corner of my eye before treacherously crossing 19th. I finally decided to give it a try for an early dinner before heading home, even though I was completely ignorant of what Guilin Rice Noodles actually were. Sure enough, the menu was dominated by what looked to be bowls of noodles topped with either beef, crispy pork, tripe, or some combination thereof. You can have it with just the noodles or in a soup like ramen or forego the noodles and go with rice. I refused to be unadventurous and ordered the $13.95 Braised Pork Belly Rice Noodles (photo: https://yelp.to/Zkx9qxacH9). The bowl arrived with a satisfying portion of thickly sliced pork belly with half a hard-boiled soy sauce egg, peanuts, and chopped green beans, all of it topping the noodles. The noodles were slippery devils but had enough chew to be tasty without being overly filling. I also had the $7.95 Cucumber Salad with Minced Garlic which maintained its crunch without getting too spicy (photo: https://yelp.to/3vyIfAI7HE). FOOD - 4 stars...I like Guilin rice noodles now and how the pork belly and cucumbers worked well together AMBIANCE - 4 stars...clean and organized in here...I like how they camouflage the speeding 19th Avenue traffic SERVICE - 5 stars...very attentive and grateful for my business TOTAL - 4 stars...a nice option in Parkside for a quick and satisfying meal RELATED - Exploring the Sunset? Here's a collection of places I've tried and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2EI8eIJ

Yelp
Delicious noodles, efficient service, warm ambiance. Appreciate having two options for hot sauce. The braised pork belly was tasty and tender. The golden crispy pork was AMAZING.

Yelp
It was a cute little spot when we first visited before the recent price update and omg I fell in love. The Laoyou noodles were excellent, exactly how I've been dreaming about them. The broth was delicious with fermented black bean and tomato taste, the bamboos gave it a little kick. There were chili seems homemade on each table, so spicy you started tasting bitterness. The best! Simply the best! Then came the price update. I get it, you have to stay in business, but damn, went from like $13 to $16. I can't even afford these noodles anymore. Ordered to-go and shocked by the price, I'll have to hesitate next time if I were to come back...

Mary L.

Yelp
Finally made it here after wanting to try their noodles for a while! The chicken feet were a bit too sour for my taste and could've used a bit more flavor. However, the House Special noodles were excellent--especially the crispy pork, which was perfectly done. The Spicy Naning Soup Noodles were also a standout--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!
google avatar

Eugy H.

Yelp
I got the GRN with beef tripe and crispy pork, and we got the chicken wings to share. First, the noodles themselves were tasty- chewy and flavorful. The meat was a bit on the oily side, but it tasted good (just couldn't finish it). The chicken wings were 10/10- crispy, juicy, and flavorful. These are one of the best wings I've had. The ambiance is casual and the staff were nice.
google avatar

Becky L.

Yelp
These rice noodles are so unique! I got the C1 to try every meat but liked their crispy pork the most. I like that the dry noodles come with broth on the side and they have 2 types of chili sauce for you to choose from. Service was friendly, and they speak Cantonese, mandarin and English.

Yelp
My bf and I recently discovered this place and we've been back 3 times in the last few weeks. That should be an indicator of how good this place is! Ordered the same thing every time and it hits every! single! time! so we don't mess with it ‍ Guilin Rice Noodle is a cute little restaurant on the corner of Taraval - not super big but we've never had to wait to get seated. They give you hot rice tea after you're at the table which goes down so nicely in these recent cold, rainy days. Service is also great! They always come back to check on us and refill our tea :) We always order the hot and sour noodle soup which has a little bit of everything. The ground pork (I'm pretty sure it's pork) goes so well with the other toppings in the soup (tofu, lettuce, mushrooms, pickled veggies) and the crispy peanuts on top are a nice touch! The noodles have a nice bouncy texture and keep really well as leftovers. They give you a decent amount of food so I've had leftovers pretty much every time! As for the appetizers, we've only tried the black fungus salad and the garlic romaine lettuce - both were super tasty! The black fungus salad has a wasabi dressing with cilantro and peanuts and the garlic romaine lettuce is cooked lettuce with a garlicky soy sauce. The first is a cold salad while the lettuce comes out hot. Highly recommend this place!!

Yelp
This place is friendly and food is delicious. Ordered: Green onion pancake - crispy and fluffy. Yummy, could use some more green onions in it tho Noodles with pork and beef - delicious and flavorful. The pork had crispy skin and beef was tender. Salt & pepper pork chops - delicious pork chops, served with veggies and rice. Love that they serve soup with all the entrees. Their hot chili oil was a great addition to the dishes. We will be coming back again.

Yelp
Located at the busy corner of two arterial streets - 19th Avenue at Taraval in the Outer Sunset, this cozy and restful eatery is literally the calm eye in the middle of the storm of traffic swirling around it. Here you will find excellent hand-pulled rice noodles, tasty sweet n savory fried chicken wings, and what I believe are the best onion pancakes ever-- at least to me.. The servers here are attentive, friendly, yet unobtrusive and only a hand wave away if you need anything. To get here, I typically find parking around the corner on 20th Avenue mid block, where there aren't any parking meters, and walk up, or take the Muni bus (Line 28, or L-bus), or other means. Once inside, you'll find 3-4 booths along the inside wall, tables with seating in the middle and more seating along the huge picture windows facing busy 19th Avenue. Once settled in, you are presented with a hardback menu full of large pictures of the various dishes available. This is a casual, no-frills, but nice enough kind of place. I've been here several times now, and honestly, our family has been hooked on this place. My staples here are the Braised pork belly Noodle Soup, The Pork Belly portion is several chunks and definitely enough to go with my noodles. All were tender and well balanced between fatty and leaner layers. The rice noodles are thick with a cross section somewhere between spaghetti and udon. The broth is light, and you also get enoki mushrooms in this and peanuts - Peanut allergies beware! Making the perfect accompaniment to the broth with my rice noodles are the onion pancakes we ordered. These onion pancakes are thicker than most, with a nice crunchy outer layer that seems practically deep-fried. I'd say these are my favorite onion pancakes from anywhere. Take a sip of soup, a bite of onion pancake, and repeat until full! :) Appetizers we have tried include the following: A12 - Original Dry Fried Chicken Wings: You get fresh from the fryer deep fried and coated in a sweet, tangy and slightly spicy sauce. Once you get past the crunchy outer skin, yummy savory meat awaits once you get your teeth inside. It reminds me strongly of the famous wings from another restaurant across town, but without the wait. A5 - Cucumber Salad with Minced Garlic in light vinegar: A good light tasty complement to the heavier dishes on our order.. E1 - Spicy Salted Spare Ribs Rice Plate: In the rare event that I'm not in the mood for soup on the typically cold days of summer out here, I go for item E1 on the menu - their Spicy Salted Spareribs Rice Plate. As its name implies, this is basically deep fried mini portions of bone-in pork cutlet in a salt and pepper infused light batter, garnished by a few tiny slices of Jalapeño peppers. To make things "healthy" you do get a side of Chinese veggies to go with it and the rice, of course. The bathroom is clean too, always a good sign! Yeah.. we come here all the time! And no, this ain't a plug by some bogus reviewer.. We just like the food here plenty!

Yelp
Decent noodles, the spicy ones are my fav. The dry ones with meat can have more flavor. Overall good prices.

Yelp
First time trying this place, I was very impressed with my food! First of all, this corner store is bright, clean and spacious. We went during lunch time and there was plenty of empty tables. Second, the noodle portion is pretty big, I almost couldn't finish. They brought a small bowl of broth, then the noodle. You can have the broth directly, or put it in the noodles. I chose the latter. Appetizers were good too. Good flavor and decent portion. Our server was friendly. We asked a lot of questions about the dishes and he was very patient with us.

Yelp
Great combination Guilin style noodle place. Ordered C1 House special GRN that came with variety of ingredients and all of them were delicious. Especially, crispy pork belly was amazing than expected. Huge portions that come with a small bowl of clear soup in the side. Pork Ears dressed with special sauce that not too spicy and perfect cooked. Nice ambiance inside and good service. On street parking only & a little tough on this construction time but worth it!!
google avatar

Wesley T.

Yelp
This place is pretty good. The noodles are great and the pork belly was fatty. The noodle seasoning was very flavorful too. The dry noodles come with a small soup on the side, nothing special about that lol. Great service, my tea cup was always full.

Yelp
Love this spot. Toddler friendly booth seating but not too much space to park your stroller. Service could be better but hey, I'll take it. Love their hot sauce with fermented? peppers!

Yelp
The food was average--especially the beef and "soup" which was quite flavorless--but the service was the most disappointing part. As soon as we walked in, an older woman greeted us in an unfriendly and abrupt manner. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming. Given the mediocre food and poor service, I don't plan on coming back.

Yelp
Been here twice and it's amazing!! The food and service are both great. The restaurant is cleanly as well.

Yelp
Got the eponymous Guilin rice noodles and thought it they were pretty good. Nice soft noodles, some soy based sauce, peanuts, and different bits of pork, some parts crispy, some parts soft. It all comes together pretty well. I'd certainly come back. The side of soup on the side is nice too.

Yelp
Thank God for the Web, it makes explore the food of other cultures far less perilous. Placing my order via Doordash simplified the process regarding price, and timing the pickup. As for parking, it does not exist so I filled up my tank at the Shell across the street then picked up my order at Guilin. Because of the web learning about Guilin Noodles via text and videos allowed me both an understand and expectation of the dish and it's variants. My order C4 GRN with Marinated Beef, Tripe & Golden Crisp Pork was oh so good. The dish was dominated by the Garlic Infused Noodles, with the most notable addition being the Crispy Pork. For me it was a pleasant experience, and it was a joy to indulge in Guilin cuisine.

Yelp
Rice noodles fantastic. Service quick, friendly, and light touch. Nice large windows for a view of the busiest intersection in San Francisco. Clean and spacious seating. No frills. Limited menu options and limited drinks. I had the house special noodles, pig ear slices, and lemon yoghurt drink. Refreshing. My mom thought the noodles were great too!

Yelp
Honestly, I don't know how we managed to drive by this place so many times over the last 4 years without giving it a try. We finally stopped by on a whim heading home one day and we've been huge fans since. I would recommend stopping by for an early dinner if you do not want to wait. 6-7PM seems to be the sweet spot, with traffic really picking up between 7:30-8:30PM. We loooove the texture of the rice noodles, which is actually quite unique. I don't think I've tried anything like this in the states, but it definitely brought back memories of traveling through Asia. The items that I would recommend: - peanuts in black vinegar - sounds weird, but it's so good. It actually reminds me of a peanut stirfry dish that my nanny used to make when I was younger. - cucumber salad - super refreshing, portions are decent, and it's not too spicy or too salty. the cucumber is always super crisp. - potstickers - these are surprisingly good, and actually taste more like shen jian baos in terms of the texture of the dough and taste of the filling. these are more filling than you would think! - C9 - this is my favorite dry noodle dish, it also comes with a side of bone broth

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch after shopping and the food was so good! The noodles were very flavorful and the crispy pork was my favorite. I wish I asked for chili oil because it seems they forgot it but that'll be for next time. This spot is definitely a local favorite since there was a line out the door at 1pm. Great spot for a quick lunch if you ever have a noodle craving!

Yelp
Service great and ambiance is bright and spacious. I was expecting hand pulled noodles, but this is regular rice noodles. We tried the house special (comes dry with a bowl of soup), hot and spicy, and braised pork soups. For apps we got the cucumbers. Flavor was ok, but flavor was lacking across the board. I did like the hot sauce on the table. One is extra spicy.

Yelp
I am very happy that I could go around town and have a nice Chinese food meal in San Francisco today. I was trying to get to Taraval and the bus line was not working at full access, so I went to this corner near the bus and decided to have pork belly rice and it had lettuce cabbage like mom. It was a nice meal and it's about $12. I ate half and I can have it later or share with mom. I like this food thanks.

Yelp
If I could give this place 3.5 stars instead of 3, I would, but I will tend on the lower side for things that are not even within Guilin's control, but does affect the dining experience. Oh man, does this place live up to its reputation for spicy noodles! Spoiler alert, my face turned super red, and I couldn't get enough water during this lunch. We came with baby in a stroller, and were able to park it right next to our table with no problem. Now, onto the issues: first, I personally felt the value for the meal want there. I think if you're in the specific mood for this type of cuisine, then it may well be worth it for you. However, the quantity to cost ratio wasn't there for me. Additionally, and this is outside Guilin's control, the MUNI L line has been under construction, which has turned Taraval into a mess. Parking has also been removed on Taraval and 19th Avenue, so it will be a bit of a walk to get here, unless you're traveling by public transit--in that case, it's great, because there's a bus stop right next to this shop.

Yelp
Food favorites: house special guilin rice noodle (one of the most authentic guilin rice noodles I've had in the bay area, wish there was more broth!) Service: attentive Vibes: homey, authentic, quiet, affordable!

Yelp
The noodles here exceeded my expectations. GRN marinated beef - came with a bowl of noodles with toppings of peanuts and preserved vegetables and sauce, and a bowl of broth on the side. The sauce in the bowl of noodles made the whole bowl flavorful, however, the amount of toppings is much less than the pictures shown on the menu. The bowl of broth was not really needed, although it provided a different taste to the noodles when dipped in it. Green onion pancake - liked the texture, the thickness, and the peanut sauce it came with, but it was a tad too oily.

Yelp
Highly recommend the crispy pork guilin noodle or any combo that has the crispy pork. The noodles have a good texture and the crispy pork is well seasoned and fried. It also comes with a small bowl of soup that you can drink along with the noodles. The instructions also say to eat the noodles dry for a bit and then pouring the soup in. Only minus a star because the noodles need more flavor and the soup is bland.

Yelp
I've been ordering from this place for the past 4 years since I've been in SF and this place is absolutely an amazing treasure for authentic Guangxi rice noodles. It's one of my favorite restaurants in town. I always get the house special GRN with extra crispy pork (sometimes 2 times extra lol because of how great it tastes) and the Nanning rice noodle soup together because they made a perfect match. Adding a little bit of the Nanning 's broth in the GRN and some meats in the GRN to the Nanning noodles is the best way of eating it. I can never get enough. The potstickers from here is amazing too, they are big, meaty, and juicy. I don't really like the chicken feet appetizer from here tho, it's pretty bland. I'll definitely come back every time when I crave Guangxi noodles.

Yelp
Coming home from San Francisco we were on 19th and discovered this wonderful Chinese restaurant on the corner of Taravel and 19th. It has good reviews so we stopped in. My friend ordered the crispy pork and rice and I ordered the veggie to bowl noodle dish. Highly recommend this place. The bathroom was clean, the staff is very friendly and it was very crowded with customers.
