While walking through Weho, we stopped by here to get some tacos. I usually get the sampler, but I decided to go with my friend's favorites and I'm so glad I decided to try them! Since LA is one of those places where there are a ton of fantastic taco places in practically every neighborhood, this could be hit or miss depending on what you value. But of the handful of times I've come here, I've always found the Guisados tacos solid- the meats are tender and juicy, and each bite is fresh. It's the kind of taco where the juices run down your hand as you bite into it, so keep the napkins close by.
I had the mole poblano and the pescado and of the two, the pescado was my favorite. It was a solid piece of fish, but it was so light. With the cabbage, pico de gallo, and crema, it's a refreshing bite that complements this beautiful spring weather we've been having. I probably could have had another, but the beauty of this location is that Salt & Straw is just a couple doors down, so I saved my appetite for dessert.
There's street parking, but this area can be super busy. It's a fun area to walk around and close to the bars, dog parks, aquatic center and tennis courts. I know I'll be back again to try some other tacos!
