Guisados in West Hollywood has tasty tacos with great flavor, but the overall experience was just okay. The place was super loud, hard to have a conversation, and it wasn’t as clean as I expected. The tables were sticky, and the floor looked like it needed a good sweep. The staff was decent, and the food came out fairly quickly, but the atmosphere took away from the meal. If you’re just grabbing food to go, it might be worth it, but for dining in, I expected a bit more.

Their tortillas are absolutely smashing! The have a extra spicy 10/10 taco that is *PERFECT* -- I thought it would be totally unbalanced, but it was fabulous

The food definitely smells good, but I would not recommend ordering it to go. My tacos were very soggy with puddles of liquid in the center. Note- they were soggy as soon as I opened them in the car. By the time I got home they looked like photos attached. I suggest ordering toppings on the side. Also they don’t carry straws. Pros- The staff are very kind. They also prepared the food wearing gloves. Which surprisingly isn’t so common anymore.

I asked the server if there was something he could recommend or what was their top selling tacos he replied “there’s a lot”. Unfortunately that didn’t help me decide what to order. I decided to try the sampler. It came with 6 delicious filling mini tacos. The restaurant was next to many restaurants/ bars. The tables outside is great for people watching.

Classic Taco spot around LA and this is the West Hollywood location. I always end up getting the smaller when I’m not super hungry, but need a little something that will make me full and not too stuffed. This location is busy late at night after the bars and during the day not too bad. Service is pretty fast and they get food out quickly. There are a few tables indoors and an outdoor area. Overall, a good reliable spot to get some tacos!

This place has a special tacos variety and very original mixes which I liked a lot. A lot of different seafood tacos. It is one of the places on the street that is not a bar but serves food primarily. It is a self service but I like how fast our order was ready. Not too much seating available but if you are with someone else, ask the second person to hunt for a spot to sit down while you are in line ordering tacos. Not sure how much was it but I think it was around $50 for 7 tacos that we split and a beer.

Bought a bunch of food to try. I like the sampler the most. Tamales were ok but a little too dry for me(personal preference), they can probably add more protein. Fish taco was ok, I’ve had lots of better fish tacos. Restroom was clean 👍🏾 Service was good, there were only two other customers when I visited but the guy kept checking to see if I need anything. It’s overall a decent place

I love this place! There was a pleasant atmosphere here at Guisados which I enjoyed. The food and drinks were both very good and affordable. The service is very professional and respectful. This place is 5 stars for sure.

I was visiting LA for the first time during a work trip and wanted to try some authentic tacos, and I'm so glad I came to Guisados! My colleague and I arrived on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I was pretty indecisive so I went with the sampler, and I'm so glad I did. I wasn't too hungry, so this was perfect as I got 6 mini tacos. I loved how each taco was unique in its own way, varying in taste, spice levels, texture, and look. These were easily some of my favorite tacos during my trip! The pricing was standard, nothing too crazy. The horchata was also some of the tastiest I had! Other than that, there was a strange occurrence where a woman sitting at the table behind mine was in the process of getting arrested. Here we are, eating our tacos, and security was waiting to escort this woman off the premises. It was an interesting experience to say the least!

Takeout tortillas get soggy. Put filling in a container and tortilla separately! Filling tasty! Service was good, very helpful!

Bad experience at this location. Food was served cold, and tiny. Seems as if they measured the portions. Because my tacos were tiny... I feel that the best location where I have been properly served is in the location on Spring St. in downtown

I think the previous hyped up the food too much for me. The heat of the tacos are not to be doubted, the salsas are hot! Overall, it was decent not great.

Love their authentic tacos and the horchata! The food is always fresh and lots of variety of street tacos and the prices are great and they are open late!

Counter service, no frills, casual restaurant serving up high quality, delicious tacos. I got the OG taco sampler which comes with 6 mini tacos (Steak Picado, Bistek Roja, Tinga, Mole, Chicharron & Cochinita Pibil) and it was excellent. The corn tortillas were exceptional and the meat fillings were whole pieces of stewed meat that were flavorful and good quality. My favorite tacos out of the 6 were the steak picado, tinga, and cochinita pibil. The mole was really good too and had nice, smoky cinnamon flavor to it. The hibiscus aqua fresca was refreshing and tasty. These were some of the best tacos I've had and would definitely come back for more tacos and try other aqua frescas.

These were the best tacos I have had in a long time! I stopped in around 7:00 pm and there was a steady flow of people but I was able to get a table after ordering. I ordered the mini taco sampler plater which consisted of six different tacos, two chicken, two steak and two pork all on homemade corn tortillas. The cook came out with the platter and informed me of what each one consisted of, which I thought was a special touch. The salsa was great and brought some extra heat, but the tacos could stand alone. All the tacos were unique and bursting with flavor. The ambience is simple, but the walls are decorated with interesting local artwork and photography.

About time I review this place. Have eaten here many times before. The tacos are amazing. The tortillas are soft and fresh. The tacos are rather priced but worth it. They do not skimp on the meat portions. Very simple But tasty flavors. Tacos so good I ate one before I even took the picture.

Great place to stop in for some tamales and tacos! Lots of options for everyone including tons of veg options. Definitely recommend getting the tamales as well as trying one of their many agua frescas! 10/10 recommend :)

Came on my boss' recommendation. Nice spot - limited menu but the tacos were yummy! Reasonably priced, quick service. Not the best tacos I've had in LA but pretty good and in a great location for day activities/quick lunch.

Service was decent, the food wasn't that great. The hours and ambiance were cool though. The tortillas were good not the hot sauce. Not the chicharrón either. Not sure if I'd return because of the price. There's better authentic Mexican tacos out there. De guisados

Don't go to this place o bought a Breakfast Burrito for 10$ and it was small like a Taco..I felt Ripped off!!I will never go to this place or recommend anyone..They are over priced and food is mediocre!!!

only thing I would change is adding a condiment/salsa section, the food was good and quick. It's clean and the place is high key aesthetic, customer service can be improved but they were still polite and cordial. The portion of foods is centered around hand made tortillas so just be mindful that they might be smaller than what you're used to

Guisados is serving up some delicious flavors and authentic tastes with their tacos! We tried all of the pork, chicken, and beef tacos and were not disappointed! The chicken tinga especially packed a wonderful spice with fresh avocado. Be sure to stop by to meet their wonderful staff who are welcoming and informative while dining in the heart of WEHO!

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. I would just like to start off with customer service. I don't know her name, but she was THE nicest employee I've ever met. Since it was my first time there, she was so thorough with her explanations and so beyond patient with me. The food came out great. I ordered 4 items: Bistek en Salsa Roja Tinga de Pollo Mole Poblano Quesadilla con Chorizo 10/10 food, the tortilla was so good and perfectly cooked. The quesadilla con Chorizo and Bistek was probably my favorite. My friend ordered the Taco Sampler where you get 6 mini tacos. The worker later came by and offered to explain the plate to my friend, which was much appreciated. The cantaloupe lemonade is also a must try. Highly recommend for their food AND service. Will come again

While walking through Weho, we stopped by here to get some tacos. I usually get the sampler, but I decided to go with my friend's favorites and I'm so glad I decided to try them! Since LA is one of those places where there are a ton of fantastic taco places in practically every neighborhood, this could be hit or miss depending on what you value. But of the handful of times I've come here, I've always found the Guisados tacos solid- the meats are tender and juicy, and each bite is fresh. It's the kind of taco where the juices run down your hand as you bite into it, so keep the napkins close by. I had the mole poblano and the pescado and of the two, the pescado was my favorite. It was a solid piece of fish, but it was so light. With the cabbage, pico de gallo, and crema, it's a refreshing bite that complements this beautiful spring weather we've been having. I probably could have had another, but the beauty of this location is that Salt & Straw is just a couple doors down, so I saved my appetite for dessert. There's street parking, but this area can be super busy. It's a fun area to walk around and close to the bars, dog parks, aquatic center and tennis courts. I know I'll be back again to try some other tacos!

Definitely recommend coming here for some quick tacos!!! A huge variety of tacos to choose from and regardless which one you pick, you won't be disappointed. All of them are flavorful, fresh, warm and you'll find yourself devouring them ASAP. My personal favorite is the steak picado, can't go wrong with a classic. Service is super friendly and patient! First time here and they helped me pick out which tacos to get. If you're coming hungry, get the regular tacos and NOT the sampler - the sampler comes with mini tacos and it's a considerable size difference. They recommend getting 3-4 tacos a person! Great art pieces!!! Wish I could take them home with me!

Tortillas were delicious & handmade. The overall taco Taste was alright. Meats very shredded. Customer service was really good.

I was finally able to try Guisado's tacos. I ordered the mini sampler so I could try a little bit of everything. The tacos were small but packed so much flavor. The meat was tender and juicy. I asked for extra salsa for more heat. I also had their horchata which was delicious. The ambience is fun and vibrant and the service was great.

I wanted to share my recent experience at your establishment. While I greatly enjoyed the food, I had an unfortunate interaction with one of your late-night cashiers. The male Latino cashier working after 2am seemed to lack customer service skills, coming across as rude and having a negative demeanor. This impacted the overall atmosphere, which was otherwise lively and enjoyable. Also it would be a nice touch if you also give your customers napkins while delivering the food to their table. I believe addressing this issue could enhance the experience for future patrons. Thank you for your attention to this matter

The best customer service, homemade tortillas, yummy ceviche and great tacos. Also, amazings salsa variety. Never had a bad experience, except when I order to much and. get food coma :)

Tried Guisados for the first time today. All I can say is that they were very tasty tacos. Mole is my favorite Mexican foods, so it was nice to see on the menu. Homemade tortillas were exceptional. Staff was courteous and professional. If I'm in the area I would stop by again Parking is tricky. $10 for all lot parking since it shares with medical building. Kind of packed. Can also park on the street with a parking meter. Enjoy !

This location is located in the busy street of Santa Monica BLVD right in the heart of WeHo. While I couldn't find a place to order on Yelp, they do take phone orders. The order was ready within 5 minutes of my call. Parking may be difficult during prime lunch hours. Close to noon, I was able to find metered street parking around the block. I ordered the shrimp (camarones) and fish (pescado) tacos, 2 of each. The fish tacos had black beans spread across the bottom of the tortilla, almost like a paste. I think that was a unique touch and the flavors are fairly standard. The shrimp tacos came with fajita-style toppings, like onion and bell peppers. Personally, I feel you're getting more bang for your buck with the shrimp. I felt there was more protein in them and I happen to like the fajita flavors more. Overall, you're getting some great tacos and I will definitely return to try the steak and chorizo flavors.

I very rarely write bad reviews but this was genuinely the worst tacos I've ever had in my entire life. My friends and I came around 1am after clubbing. We had high hopes since this place had a lot of reviews on google and yelp. It was decently busy and most of the tables were full. Our cashier interaction was pretty average/typical. We waited like 5-10 for the food and when it came out we all looked at each other so confused. Literally the saddest tacos we've ever seen. It was my first time having a taco with no onions/toppings/lime etc. it's literally just a glob of wet meat on a tortilla with the tiniest bit of sauce. We asked if they had any onions etc and we only got extra sauce. We figured they would taste better than it looks, but we were wrong LOL We tried 1 steak, 1 chicken, and 1 pork each and they were all pretty bad. I think the pork was the worst, it was so fatty I barely tasted any meat. My friend said one of her tacos just tasted like beans. The tortillas were all soggy from the meat juices (meat juice in a bad way.) and the meat just didn't taste good at all. Even if there wasn't any soupyness from the meat juices the tortillas were still pretty sad like not toasted at all or anything. And for $4/taco this was insanely disappointing. I feel like they just have business from the clubbing scene in weho because otherwise I have no idea why this place is so popular/highly rated. Honestly I've never had a "bad" taco before, like I've had mid or dry tacos etc but this was the first time we were genuinely like wtf are we eating, how can you call this a taco. Literally just a soupy soggy taco with bad quality meat. Would NOT come back again. (Also my friend got a horchata and luckily that tasted good)

My friend wanted to go out in West Hollywood because we had never been - so why not? The bars we went to were okay but the tacos and horchata we had here at the end of the night is what redeemed my WeHo experience! The employees taking orders were very efficient and they were so kind and funny even at 2 in the morning. As you could imagine, it was a bit busy - but food came out super fast as well. I would almost describe the ambiance as energetic but chill? Kind of weird, but it was a mix of people excited to get their food and people winding down for the night while eating their meal. Anyway, tacos were a little more saucy than what I'm used to but they were SO flavorful. If it got a bit too spicy, their horchata was so good that I didn't mind alternating between the spicy taco and delicious horchata :) I will definitely be back if I'm in the area, or find any of their other locations!

The food was very good. Just a little place where you order at a counter and pick your seat, indoor or outside.It was clean and friendly and delicious.

Me gusta! Omg, just like my favorite taco place in Mexico City, Tacos Gus. Homemade corn tortillas serve as a plate to delectable stewed dishes. The cochinita pibil burns your mouth in the best way. Love me nopales tacos anytime. Try all of them, you'll eat happy! I loved it so much I bought more for the car ride home to SF.

Love this spot. Every time we come here we try something different. The customer service is the best and they answer any questions and will also substitute as requested. Place is in and outdoors and is it's so nice to people watch. Food is amazing and we will be back. The pork tacos with those lazing red onions. Melt in your mouth!!

Been coming yo Guisados for years, used to live near their Downtown location and now much closer to the Weho one! Their Fish taco and ceviche are 2 of my favorite menu items here! Quick effortless and always tasty!! Service is quick and the inside if the restaurant is clean and comfortable!

Worst customer service from The manager. We ate, and we weren't able to use the bathroom after eating because it was closing time?! Big attitude towards us. I'm Mexican and bring 3 American friends to your place to show them our cuisine. And this happened. It is holiday weekend and closing on "time" I will Never ever again visit your place. Once again. This was just the manager " which no one wanted to give me his name" the staff was OK.

This is always my favorite taco place when I'm in So Cal. It looks like it's a family owned restaurant but has multiple locations. I ordered 6 mini tacos, and they are all awesome! The meat is braised, and is very tender and juicy. The tortillas are handmade, it's so yummy! And not to mention the price, it almost seems unreal(in compare to Nor Cal)! I would definitely recommend if you want a quick bite.

We always make sure to stop in whenever we're in town. Last night was more of the same---delicious excellence! I always get the sampler because the flavors are really excellent all around--steak, mole poblano, cochinita pibil, everything is flavorful and makes you want more. The service is also fast and friendly which is a plus. It's right in the heart of Weho so makes it perfect before or after grabbing a drink.

I've heard of Guisados before and when I saw that I was right by this location I knew that I would eventually try it out. There's a few tables indoors and plenty of outdoor seating. Since it was my first time here, I got the Sampler ($8.50), which includes the Steak Picado, Bistek en Salsa Roja, Tinga de Pollo, Mole Poblano, Cochinita Pibil, and the Chicharron Tacos. You basically get 2 of each type of meat. The tacos are super tiny, which is great to try a bit of the types of tacos that they have. They had a Ceviche Tostada ($4.95) for their special of the day so I ordered one of those as well. Out of the sampler, I liked both of the chicken tacos the best. Personally I thought the pork tacos were a bit too salty for me and the steak was a bit tough to chew through. The chicken tacos were really tender and not too salty while still having a lot of flavor to them. The corn tortillas that they serve them in were also hot and fresh. The ceviche was also really good. They give you a good amount of it on 1 tostada and give it to you with a slice of lime and a packet of Tapatio. Service was very good. The guy at the counter was very nice and kept checking up on me, making sure that I had everything that I needed. The food came out really quickly too, although I went at an off-peak hour and was one of the only ones in there at the time. I'm glad to have tried this place out. I'm also glad that they have the sampler so that now I know what I like and don't like. I would still come back to try some of their other tacos that wasn't in the sampler though, like the fish tacos or the vegetarian tacos. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Great place for a quick Taco. Tacos taste excellent; a bit different from the classic Mexican street taco which normally comes with the meat, onions, cilantro and salsa, lime and salt. We tried their 6 mini taco platter, and also had the cochinita, fish and shrimp tacos as well. They all tasted very good along with a cold beer! Customer service is excellent. The cashier has some great suggestions, which is what we tried. I was close to trying their tamales which they serve with a sunny side up in top; my idea By the way; I do that at home all the time. Overall place is very good, very clean and great customer service. Hope you enjoy your experience as well.

I was very happy with my lunch at Guisados! I placed a pick-up order of 3 tacos and a melon juice and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. I got two mole poblano tacos and a pescado taco. The tacos are wrapped individually in foil, though there was a bit of leakage so I recommend those getting their tacos to-go to try to eat them as soon as possible. The pescado taco was delicious and generously packed with fish, but my favorite was the mole poblano taco. The onion brought a nice sweetness that contrasted the mole, which was on the milder side. I normally don't like sour cream, but in this case it was muted and improved the texture by binding everything together. The melon aka cantaloupe juice had bits of cantaloupe and was refreshing in the summer heat. My order was just under $15, which seems affordable to me considering the large size of the tacos: I was starving but was only able to finish 2 of the tacos. Would love to come back to try more of the menu!

At Guidados I tried the Sampler which was a really good price at 6 tacos for $8. The tortillas were soft and the right amount of chewy so you can tell they're fresh! I couldn't tell which tacos were which flavors or meats but found the taste a bit strong and slightly salty. There was plenty of seating and little wait time. Experience was good but perhaps my expectations for tacos are more traditional since the ones I tried were unfamiliar to me. Parking: we went to West Hollywood Public parking lot which was free for 2 hours if you get it validated at the library. Worth a try and the Sampler is fun!

I just come for the horchata since it's next to my job. Horchata is a solid 4/5. Haven't tried the food yet.

This isn't real Mexican food . The food wasn't authentic Mexican food. The quesadilla was a chuck of cheese not even melted. We couldn't even finish our food, The carne asada wasn't carne asada it was more like cabeza but it didn't taste good. They didn't even give us salad or any sides. Only reason I came to the place because I saw 4.3 stars but street tacos are better.

Guiso is the word for stew in Spanish. Just think about that for a moment. It didn't quite hit me until I saw the tacos here...the meat is swimming in stewiness. Which is fine, if you like that. Guisado means "one pot meal" hence, the other reason the tacos have beans, cheese, lettuce, etc on them. Anyway....just trying to explain how tacos here did not mimic "street tacos" at all. They were good, just not my favorite. Maybe if I had put the puns together beforehand, l may have been more prepared to eat soupy meat on thick corn tortillas with black bean purée added. Or pork that had red sauce and veg added even though I was kinda expecting carnitas (crispy pork) when it was called carnitas... Another piece of advice - don't order the sampler, it's not a sampler, there's a lot of restrictions on what you can actually order. It's incredibly confusing. I couldn't even finish the mushroom taco - it was utterly flavorless.

Quick, delicious, convenient! My favorite was the chincharron (not pictured because i scarfed it down before getting a picture in). Staff were efficient. Open late and had outdoor seating. Perfect after a night out in WeHo.

Shocked that they can't do a breakfast burrito with steak or chicken. They have the meet ready but wont put it in a breakfast burrito. Ordered a taco and put it in the buritto myself....

Late night tacos in W Hollywood? HELLO!!! Got different tacos to try... each one stood out to me. But what impressed me the most was the tortillas!! These corn tortillas were not try and was the right thickness. SO YUMMY! Glad we stumbled in!

Lowkey had no clue this place existed, and I'm excited I know it does now. Epic great tacos, incredible service and a very convenient location if you're enjoying the vibes nearby. I'll be back, for sure.

Guisados is yummy and affordable- you can never go wrong with them! I tried both their beef tacos, chicken, and fish- all were delicious. My favorite was definitely the beef options. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Plus staff were very kind & knowledgeable so don't be afraid to ask for suggestions, they'll steer you in the right direction.

Came here while out and about with a couple of friends visiting over the weekend. I was very surprised by the atmosphere being a more urban take on your traditional street tacos and mexican food. I LOVE tamales, its one of the biggest things I look forward to during Christmas time as it is tradition in my family to make tamales. The one thing about the tamales is that the flavor is there, it has so much potential, but the tamales we received had way too much Maza (maiz sponge) that there was not enough filling to enjoy the tamal. On top of the that, the Maza was a little dry meaning that they were slightly overcooked or frozen. The tacos though, were the star. I had zero qualms with the tacos that we ordered. Service here was pretty straightforward. you make your way to the front, get your number, and the server brings your food out to you. I did not see a salsa bar, but I could've just missed it as I think any traditional mexican shop should have a salsa bar. Overall, i would definitely come here again if I lived locally. It's a nice spot close to bars and would serve as a great after drinks treat.
